Yesterday I had a appointment with Dr. Alphious Kedika Etswe during. My anticipation for a thorough medical examination and treatment for my severe flu/cold symptoms, including shortness of breath, persistent cough, fever, and a sore throat, was met with an unsettling lack of attention and care. Despite indicating my negative Covid test results over the past three days, Dr. Etswe barely examined me. He made a cursory inquiry about throat irritation, skipped examining my throat entirely, then he listened to my congested lungs, formulated an inhaler, and then left me in the care of a very kind nurse for a ear wax removal that lasted three minutes. Subsequently, the doctor failed to return to conclude my appointment, leaving me waiting for an extended period without any explanation (more than 25 minutes), only to be informed that he had moved on to another patient's appointment, leaving mine unresolved and disregarded. I was asked to wait until he was done, but after that long time it just didn't feel right or fair just having to wait for him just because he had decided to look after another patient. However, the pinnacle of discomfort arose from Dr. Etswe's negligent action of prescribing an inhaler without addressing my high fever or body pain, a stark contrast to the comprehensive care I expected, and didn'teven provide a diagnosis of what I currently have (he seemed to be unsure wheter it was a bacteria or a virus, even after mentioning him that my partner also got sick and then recovered). Furthermore, he didn't not even take my body temperature, blood pressure, oxygen leveks in blood, or any of the other cares that should include the most basic doctor appointment. This dismissive behavior and lack of attention to my overall health needs have left me profoundly dissatisfied. Frankly, this has been the most unsatisfactory and distressing medical encounter I've ever experienced, leaving me feeling as though my hard-earned money—$95—was wasted on substandard care. I have been in this Centre before and have really good experiences, but today it was just absolutely disappointing and frustrating. Honestly, I'd expect any kind of compensation or reimbursement, as it definitely was not a professional service. Yours sincerely, Juan.

really disappointed by the receptionist i had to deal with here When first getting my appointment booked by an outside company, I was told it would be at 9:45, even though I would get a text saying 10:15. I never got that text, instead received an email saying my appointment was at 10:45. The day before my appointment, I got a phone call asking to change the time to 11. When I agreed, the person calling then had to actually check her details. She then told me to arrive at 11:15. When I questioned what time to actually show up, she said 11am again. After that, I received a confirmation email, saying my appointment was at 11:45. Whatever booking system they use clearly needs to be reworked. I arrived at 11, hoping what I was told on the phone was right. Upon arriving, the receptionist, Joe I believe, took my name before telling me to sit down and he would bring over my paperwork. He did not. At first he had a few other patients to deal with, so I didn't mind, but in the end I had to wait half an hour, with plenty of times where they were not talking to any patients, (needing to pee the whole time, as this was for a drug test) before finally having to get up and ask the other receptionist, who just gave me the paperwork from right beside her. So, not that hard to do. Thankfully, pathology were perfectly fine and didn't make me wait long there. After pathology, I went back to the waiting room and was told by Joe to sit down, the nurse would be here soon. Needless to say I was rather doubtful at this point. It took around 15 minutes before the other receptionist called me over to fill out more paperwork, and THEN I was told the nurse would be with me soon. Joe the receptionist doesn't seem to know what is actually required of patients, or want to give them said paperwork. the actual medical professionals i saw were fine and helpful (even if the doctor seemed a little confused on what she was actually supposed to do for a pre-employment medical check) but the reception was just awful. the doctors and nurse i saw are the only reason this is getting two stars except one.

Really unimpressed with the service that I have received from this practice. I was supposed to have a Telehealth appointment mid day earlier in the week. After waiting half 45 minutes, I called the receptionists who informed me the dr was running 20 min late. I reminded them my appointment time to which they responded my dr was prioritising all face to face patients before contacting Telehealth patients. I was told she would get to me shortly. I called back after waiting for over 2 hours and receptionists told me she was running really behind and would get back to me by the end of the day. I did not receive any call or message. The next day I called the receptionist to ask what happened and she said the dr apparently tried to call me at 4:30 ( 3 hours after my appointment) but my number must have been incorrect or dialled incorrectly. I reminded them I have received countless calls from receptionists and nurses on my number and they confirmed my number was correctly entered in their system. I thought that seeing as I had waited all afternoon the previous day, the receptionist would get my dr to call me back ASAP or at least try and try me schedule a make up appointment ASAP that day- how wrong was I! I was told there was only one appointment lasted in the week- that didn’t suit my work schedule. I have asked to have my results sent to me, the nurse has said she will discuss with my dr- still waiting to hear back. I feel completely disregarded as a person. I am completely shocked that Your Hobart Doctor chooses to deprioritise telehealth appointments. Both patients face to face/Tele should be treated equally. There is no way they would have dismissed a patient who had been waiting for an appointment that was over 3 hours late, and then just decided not to see them. All of this aside receptionists/nurses seem lovely and based on my interactions with them it seems that there wasn’t a lot they could do to help me.

Posting this review on behalf of my girlfriend. Went to this doctor for the first time today, my appointment was at 240, when I got there I was told the doctor had 4 people before me, I was there at 230. I waited an hour for this doctor just to be taken advantage of and scammed for all the money I didn’t have, I wasn’t aware of the cost of these test but he gave me a couple and extended my standard consult without talking to be about the cost rising. He gave me a prescription for antibiotics, his words were “ I don’t know what it is but if it’s an infection this will help, if it’s not then watch out for bad side effects”. He got me to do a vagina swab, didn’t tell me how, I asked the nurse she told me she didn’t know how to so I had to work it out. The doctor made a comment saying “we have to make sure your not losing to much blood” (I’ve had my period very bad for near a month straight ), then proceeded to tell me I had to get a blood test then an there, doesn’t really make sense tbh. The doctor was rude, the nurse had no idea where she was, they really just wanted my money. The doctor the mentioned that he doesn’t even work here and he’s just come down from Sydney and he won’t be here for long and doesn’t know the place well. When I went to go pay my price was 300 dollars ( I understood as it was a Sunday the prices would be a bit more) but they never told me the prices for these test, I didn’t have that money, I live off ceno, And I live alone. I stood there begging family members for money, I bursted into tears and the receptionist just goes “ are you ready to pay yet or” which only made me feel worse, there was no trying to help me, or even show empathy. Now i have to book another appointment for results, not looking forward to it, cried all the way home and feel like I’ll never go get help again. So thank you doctor danish khan and the untrained headless chicken staff.

This 1 * Star is for the Reception Staff, I wish could give them a --1 or a zero. (Doctors are amazing -5 Star). You better complete your conversation with the Doctors and book your next appointment before you go home, if you leave it to the reception staff, good luck with that especially when you are an immigrant (No one seems to care) I called their reception staff 10 times and got the same response, we have sent the Doctor a message and we will call you when the doctor replies. The next day, after 15 minutes of call waiting, you tell the same story, and they will be like Oh Sorry there is no record of any conversation, Would you like me to contact the doctor and see what he/she says? Yes, please. you wait again and repeat the same process the next day. Doesn't matter how many times you tell them that I know how to book an online appointment but this one needs to be discussed with the Doctor before we book it again (as advised by the Doctor). When it comes to a New-born, every other GP or clinic fits you in on the same day or they simply say (No) please go to the emergency but no one ignores the situation and makes you wait for 2 weeks even when they know that the Child needs to be seen straight away due to recent surgery and other complication. Royal Hobart says: Please see your regular GP Other GPs say: We are not your GP and we do not have records of surgery so we can not take any risk. You Hobart Doctor Says: There is no record of any conversation, do you want us to book you in for the second week of February? I never misbehave or talk rudely to anyone but this situation is making me really worried for my Child. :( Please find a GP whom you can walk into or who understands your emergency situation and sees you on the same day. If you are sick, you can not wait 2 weeks.

I’ll outline the scenario and you can make your own mind up. One year old daughter vomiting and diarrhoea on and off for a week and a half. It was initially suspected to be gastro, but carers thought it might be something else like a parasite, given the length of time and intermittent symptoms etc. Anyway, the Doctors online form doesn’t allow you to book online with these symptoms because of covid, and prompts you to call for assistance. I called the receptionist to ask for an appointment. The person answering didn’t introduce themselves which gave me an indication of how it was going to go. I was quickly closed down with “we have nothing until next week” before I could give any details (it’s almost like medical receptionists are trained to do this, and not ask questions so they can later plead ignorance if they have to). I was directed to book online and explained that the form won’t allow it with her symptoms. The response was to basically call back the next morning (15 Jan) and essentially plead to be seen between appointments if there is a willing doctor. The cynical side of me might say that’s because she is off work and it’s now someone else’s problem. I had a look online again after the call, and found heaps of available appointments for that day, but since they have pretty much every possible physical symptom for every illness listed as a covid one, we can’t get her in. A one year old can’t see her doctor… Having said all that, all of our previous experience tells us the doctors here are excellent. Not such a good experience with reception over the phone though. According to the online form, they should have arranged a phone consult. Disappointing.

Just (06/12/2021, 15:40) went in for an appointment with Dr Neda Javan Manesh. One of the worst experiences I ever had with a health practitioner. Made an appointment as a new patient for an anti-depressant script as I was running low and my regular doctor has stopped working with her previous clinic (booking was full for three weeks). I understand that this is a tricky position and was hoping to work with Dr Manesh. I was however greeted with annoyance and little empathy, quoting "this is not my problem", "if you knew you were running out, why did you not make an appointment with your previous clinic instead". Her tone was highly irritated and seemingly pointing fingers. I do know that it is my fault, but I do not think it is professional for a doctor to behave in this manner - especially to a mental health patient. Would like to emphasise that my appointment was at 15:15 and, although I am usually understanding, I am rather disappointed about the whole experience. Seeing that she has previous complaints on google (a tad late as I should have done my research before), I will be making a formal complaint in hopes that a more serious reflection can be conducted to review her atittude in the healthcare industry. TL:DR; Only make an appointment with Dr Neda Javan Manesh at your own risk. She has poor communication skills and seems to continue to do so despite multiple complaints from her own patients.

I unfortunately missed a face to face appointment and was texted to call back. Right off the bat the text addressed to me had the wrong spelling of my name. I was confused as to why I needed to call but I did so and told the receptionist about the text I received and then he told me they would call me back, he didn't say anything else and did not ask any questions. Without telling me he had changed my missed face to face appointment to a phone consult, which I did not ask for at all. To my confusion I was called by my doctor and because I wasn't aware that suddenly I had a phone consult I did not speak to him properly. To my surprise I was then asked to pay for the 5 minute phone call and found out that the call was a doctors appointment. The lady charging me did let me speak to my doctor again with the knowledge that the call was a phone consult but the problem I needed to adress could only be handled in person so I essentially paid 50 dollars to be told to come back in person. I am honestly appalled by the lack of communication. I never wanted a phone consult and the fact that the receptionist took it upon himself to change my appointment to one without even telling me is appalling, as is the fact that I had no choice but to pay for a less than 10 minute phone call all because the receptionist couldn't communicate a single thing to me.

Unfortunately, today I needed to make an appointment online, the appointment simply took place 1 hour after the scheduled time, Dr. Sonja Coetzee was extremely cold and rude, she didn't even spend a minute on the line with me. Minutes later I received a call from the clinic to be charged for this appointment that did not exist, when I was asked that if I wanted to know the results of the exam I would have to schedule and pay for an appointment again for the next day, I refused to pay and asked for cancel the referral (since I hadn't received it either) because they had the courage to call me to charge for the ridiculous appointment but they didn't have the ability to apologize for leaving me 1 hour waiting for an online consultation and on top of that for being treated badly, I lost an hour of work today waiting for a call from the doctor who didn't solve my problem. I hung up the phone, devastated by the lack of respect from the doctor and the clinic. Unfortunately, I've had problems with this clinic before, and I didn't do anything, I remained in silent. I just insisted to go in the clinic again today because I was really needed as is so hard to find a clinic that accept new patients in Hobart. I don't wish this service for anyone, it is extremely frustrating and sad.

Awful experience. I have respiratory symptoms but tested negative for covid. I was told I needed to make a telehealth appointment, but that it would not be rebated because I am a new patient. Fine. Even the process of making an appointment was taxing. The first person I spoke to booked me with someone who couldn't do telehealth and so I had to ask me to call back and reschedule. That consult never happened, doctor never called. I called after waiting an hour to say that he hadn't called, a different receptionist answered and said that she had no record that I had even had an appointment. Booked another one. Fine. The next doctor called from a number that is listed as spam and was blocked by my phone. I unblock it, try to call back, no luck. She texts me to say that I will still have to pay a fee. I explain what happened and ask her to call again for the consult. She does not, and instead just says that new patients shouldn't do telephone consults and instead I need to see her face-to-face. I tell her I have respiratory symptoms. She says I should still not do a phone consult, which is the opposite of what everyone else has told me so far. So, thanks for nothing Dr. McKeown. And I'm probably still going to have to pay for this so-called "consult".

I strongly advise caution when considering advice from the doctors at this clinic. My wife sought help for ear pain after a flight, only to be told by the doctor that her ear was infected. The prescribed ear drops and antibiotics were purchased from the Blooms chemist, conveniently located in the same facility and owned by the same company. Unfortunately, my wife found no relief from the prescribed drops and sought a second opinion at the hospital, where she received alarming news - her eardrum was actually ruptured. Our trusted GP in Sydney confirmed this diagnosis. Thankfully, my wife had the intuition to discontinue the prescribed drops, potentially preventing serious harm to her ear. It is disheartening to see a focus on medication rather than accurate diagnosis, especially in light of the adjacent chemist's affiliation with the clinic. This raises concerns about potential conflicts of interest. My wife expended significant resources on unnecessary medication, which could have resulted in further harm. In light of our experience, I strongly advise seeking care elsewhere. The clinic's approach to diagnosis and prescription warrants serious consideration.

Quite dissatisfied with the service they provide there, especially the receptionists and doctors. How is it possible to pay for a medical consultation to be diagnosed three times with something not related, when the symptoms are stronger than they seem, one of the doctors google my symptoms to know what it may be... please what is that lack of professionalism?... the last doctor, told me that everything is fine, when he did not even check my last medical exams, that clearly are not quite good. In 2 opportunites I booked an appointment with an especifiy doctor, who spoke my language, but at the very first time in the morning they call me to give me the excuse that he was sick and can't not attend me, so that make think they are lack of doctors staff. They made me wait for more than 40 minutes for the doctor to call me... I went to the reception to ask for how long I have to wait and then receptionist called the doctor who was free without a patient. I felt so helpless and frustrated, that I decided asking for the results and to run from such an unpleasant place in search of real medical help. Please reconsider if this place is an option for you.

Lots of reviews about a RUDE reception staff. Don’t know why the management doesn’t take any action to train or replace their rude staff. No matter how many times you call them and say I want to convey this message to this doctor: their answer would be : Doctors appointment is in 2 weeks, do you want me to book it? Ma’m did you even listen to my story? I explained everytime that please contact the Doctor, she would know when to book. Called everyday for 7 days just to book an appointment for my newborn that had a surgery after 2 weeks of his birth. Every time got the same reply the Dr is not available at the moment. Even though the Doctor said, if you have any concerns about your baby , call reception and they will fit you in on the same day. I should have booked appointment online. No one understood that he is only 6 weeks old with a recent surgery. At least say No and don’t lie for 7 days. No reception staff tried to contact the Doctor about our concern. Doctor knew that our baby needs an immediate attention due to surgery. 5 STAR ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for Doctors. Especially Dr. Neda. We had to change GP just because of unprofessional reception staff.

After arriving 5 mins early for my 430pm appointment I was told my doctor was unwell and not working today. The receptionist claimed they tried calling although I had no missed calls, yet I had rang earlier in the day to ask if they bulk bill health care card holders (they don't). I was rebooked with another doctor at 7pm, whom I finally saw at 7.45pm. The doctor wasn't open to swapping my current medication to a similar one after I explained I'm on buprenorphine (which is managed by a Victorian doc as Tasmania is the only state that has banned monthly buprenorphine injections) due to the stigma of being on an opioid replacement therapy. When I went to pay for the consultation I was quoted $20 more as my appointment was an "after hours"one, even though my initial one was in the afternoon and they offered the evening one. I really don't recommend this practice. They're disorganised, rude and their doctors automatically judge if you're a recovering addict. Oh, and their attached chemist wanted to charge me $25 more than chemist warehouse. Rediculous!!!

My wife came to see a Doctor to get help with her mental health and had very unpleasant experience with the receptionists from the time she called to make an appointment and when she came in for it. When she made her appointment she was told it was a double appointment but on the day it only ended up only being a single one. When mentioning this the receptionist spoken to didn't apologize. My wife also felt like she couldn't speak or ask anything as she when she did she got spat at by the receptionist and was rudely told that they were training someone. She asked for a form she had fill out and when she went to give it back they ignored her even though they didn't appear busy at the time. My wife was also upset and crying and wasn't asked if she ok. She also had to wait for 30 mins and the Doctor didn't apologize for the wait. She also didn't feel like she got much help from the appointment or answers. She has since made another appointment elsewhere.

This experience is from November 2019 but has been weighing on my mind. After years of struggling with anxiety and depression I decided to get help because I couldn't ignore it anymore. I went to see Emma Foster and told her what I was going through. I was brushed off and told that GPs can't diagnose anxiety and depression or prescribe medication (this is NOT true). I was then told to download an app with cartoons that would help. I'm a woman in her twenties! Fast forward a year and I was having thoughts of self harm, suicide and severe anxiety to the point I hardly left the house. Luckily I found a new practice and doctor who diagnosed me with severe anxiety and put me on medication. If anyone is reading this and struggling with mental health please don't give up on getting help because of a bad doctor. I'm finally in a good headspace now but things could have turned out so much worse just because of one incompetent, uncaring healthcare provider.

Went for a skin exam and was attended by Anand Pemmulu and charged 175.00. A most unpleasant and costly experience. I wasn’t told the price beforehand. To further add to this I contacted the practice manager. I asked for a partial refund as I could not really afford this large outlay . They refused and ignored my pleas. Now I am asking for my medical records . For months I have been asking for them to be sent to me . I saw the doctor for 5 minutes but the printer for the computer had broken down. The doctor assured me the records would be emailed . Still they have not been emailed . Then I receive a bill and harassed to pay a bill. I am normally bulk billed due to my limited income. I need my medical records to be sent to me . I have been emailing but as usual no response or saying “ pay the bill” and silence . I am dumbfounded by this behaviour as all they care about is money , not a patient’s well being . They deserve no stars

I was very fortunate to meet Dr Mark Baldock about two years ago, when i first visited Tasmania and to my amazement he not only understood the words of my rarely understood condition, but knew the complexities that it caused, I cannot speak highly enough of his professional calm approach to caring for those suffering from chronic illnesses that are seen as rare, but are really just rarely diagnosed. I am so grateful for Dr Baldock and his team, they have always been exceptionally caring, always listening to me, always willing to consider my opinion as the patient living with this rarely known/early diagnosed condition. I recommend Dr Baldock, and have full professional confidence in his skills as a family doctor who cares for each member individually as they present to him. I also am pleased to say, I am so very proud of his achievements and always will endeavour to support them.

The Medicare rebate is claimed through the terminal at the date of service whis this is stated on your website. This is not the case was told me as a parent was not allowed to claim the rebate back for my childs visit because I am not a patient there? Is this a new Rule? Maybe your website needs to be updated to say this I have never heard of this rule from other private practice where my other children go where I am not a patient as they are always happy for me to do the rebate claim while there. Luckily I had payments with me for my childs visit as apparently between me booking her appointment last Thursday and attending a week later children under 12 are now charged was different to information I was given last week notification to patients or website could maybe be updated with this information. Overall Dr was Lovely, caring nature and understanding nice clean open space.

Dodgy business practices! On their online booking site, it appears that experienced doctors are available for bookings but, if you book an appointment with an experienced doctor, they then try to push you onto an inexperienced locum. I booked an appointment with an experienced GP online via their HotDoc booking system and the appointment was confirmed. Three days later, and just four hours before the appointment, they rang and said that the doctor I booked in with is no longer available and they then tried to push me onto an inexperienced locum. Although I clearly said that I did not want to see the locum, they sent through a HotDoc confirmation which could not be cancelled online. To avoid incurring costs, I emailed (to have proof in writing) that I had not booked the appointment and that they needed to cancel it. Beware of their business practices. Dodgy!

Very bad experience today. I booked an appointment for 9:30 to see Doctor Neda. It was 10:05 or sth when it was my turn. Dr. Neda seems really rush about everything. I just said my first concern then she brought me to the reception and wanted to let me go. I said I haven’t finished my consultation after reception asked me to pay. Then I came back to Neda by describing my concerns. She seems not want to listen to me and didn’t want to talk about more. I haven’t say I have finished she said see you later and brought me to reception again. And asked reception lady to change her consultant fee. During my consultation, it was only last 10 minutes! I understand she might have lots of patients after me. But that was not my fault!! Why I should take the responsibility of others’ mistake??? She should treat everyone fairly! I will never back to her again!

It's taken me many years to find a GP who actually listens and takes time to investigate any issue. Dr Karen Vaughan is incredible. After many years of trying to get my daughters and my asthma under control, Dr Vaughan wasted no time in referring both of us to an allergist and managed our condition well whilst waiting for the specialist appointment. For once I found a doctor who didn't brush our issues aside and have us follow yet the same asthma plan. I have also seen other doctors at the clinic when Dr Vaughan was unavailable and was always impressed with their level of care. The staff are professional, efficient and friendly and the clinic is always clean and welcoming. It's convenient having a pharmacy right next door which is open late with a great range. It's also nice to have a cafe next door to enjoy a coffee while you wait for a script.

Be aware of this clinic. I was on holiday with my family in Tasmania. Unfortunately, my ear suddenly has a problem. I have seen a female doctor in urgent care last week and she priscred me an ear drop which is I should not be using. After the following day she was unsure and referred me to a doctor next door which is Your hobart doctor clinic. The male doctor prescribed me a new ear drop which I should not be using again. After seeing them I had some advice from the hospital doctors in Hobart and doctors in Sydney hospital plus my family GP. They all share the same idea, which is that I should not use ear drops. I have spent nearly $200 dollars in that place and they show no sympathy to me as a patient. I wouldn't recommend this clinic as the doctors will prescribe you as much medicine as they can to take more money from you.

I booked for 6 week post partum check for me & my baby. The receptionist suddenly change the doctor that i chose and refer to Dr manesh. He said she 'quite popular' and 'professional'. When I came, she seems to rush everything. Didn't explain it properly, leave us hanging with no further explanation while I dress my baby and suddenly disappear to do next patient. I need to wait for her to finish with her patient to ask clearly about her unfinished diagnose. Got very rude tone of answer that I need to book another appointment to get the result. I ended up got charge for long appointment dont know why. Outrageous! Please treat us at least as a customer (or human being) as we pay for the service. Not begging for free!

Dr. Neda is the worst Gp I’ve ever seen in my life. She is not interested in her patients’ issues and she seems to have limited knowledge in general. She was asking me about how I feel in particular situation and when I explained to her she complained that I’m explaining too much which made me stop in order to ask her ‘didn’t you ask about that! Don’t you see that my answer is exactly about what you are asking about! ‘ Additionally her ability to do any type of diagnosis is limited. I can’t believe that someone like her could be seeing patient to provide any type of help. She is just there to get as much money as she can without doing anything related to her job.

Took my father the see a doctor yesterday because he had an infection in his gum and was in a lot of pain his appointment was for 10:30 at 11:35 he was called in the doctor seen him and only gave him something for the pain wouldn't give him anything for the infection now I think that is very poor practice myself. Now today the day after he seen the doctor and the doctor said that everything would be fine with just taking the pain medication he is all swollen around the face and lips he can hardly talk. How is an infection going to clear up without antibiotics? Poor practice Poor service Never to return again

I have been to 'Your Hobart Doctor' multiple times out of necessity and convince of location, and time and time again I have been let down. The organisation does the bare minimum and is generally cold. Unfriendly and snappy receptionists have made booking appointments and getting information unnecessarily difficult, and as a student with not-much-money I have felt unfairly treated. For example, phone appointments are said on the website to be bulk-billed but every receptionist I have tried to confirm this with has been rude and unhelpful. This clinic needs to make itself friendlier and more accessible.

Should have checked the reviews before going to this place. They’re just worried about the money, once you pay communication is impossible. Heard from the doctor that I have an ACL tear and that I should go straight to the hospital and she would send the referral immediately. Been waiting for 2 hours (and counting) in front of the hospital and everyone I speaks to at this clinic is rude and unresponsive. One lady even hang up the phone on me while I was waiting for her to “check” about the referral. Do yourself a favour run away from those people!

So relieved to have found a doctor that's actively helping with my health issues. I've only been twice to Dr. Haddadin but he has done more for me in the last two appointments than my last doctor had done in 7 years. I've walked into both appointments with a list of things to ask for but haven't even had to refer to it as he was so on the ball with what needed organising. In past I've always felt I've needed to go above and beyond just to advocate for myself, now I finally have a doctor who actively advocates for my health. Would %100 recommend.

Dr Stacey Carlton has been able to work with me as a medically complex patient in a clear, concise, safe and professional manner. Despite extenuating circumstances, Dr Carlton has been able to work with the constant changes of someone with 20 conditions and specialists. Clear and professional advice and communication on current and proposed treatment plans and limitations of scope within the practice. Would recommend for anyone looking to manage complex health, chronic conditions or rare conditions like myself.

  • aa 42

The after hours GP we saw was great with my child and really thorough. I really can't fault the staff on deck today. The downside is because I am not a patient, we couldnt claim the medicare rebate on the spot. I had to do it myself through thr my gov app, and won't see my rebate from $120 for 7 days. Phone lines or system used is a bit frustrating, constant message of "no available agents in the queue" comes bursting down the phone line. However, we avoided clogging emergency thanks to this practice :)

I had a rotten experience with Dr Emma Foster. Worst doctor I’ve ever consulted with. I found her to have very bad patient communication/listening skills & as it turned out in my case she wasn’t up to date medically - (always get a second opinion if you doubt the doctors abilities). I do not recommend this doctor & also found the staff to be rude & lacking basic medical reception skills. Doctors & staff show respect towards patients & if you don’t know an answer speak up! I found a much better practice.

  • Yuzhi Wang

Very unprofessional doctor and disordered management. I have to call three times for my test results and they didn’t even tell me what to do after the test. This morning I got a call from someone said I don’t have enough blood samples for the test so they only did one test that day. Okay, why no one informed me this then! It’s all messed up. I really do hope they can improve this chaotic management and treat patients more professionally. I’m very disappointed with this experience and won’t come again.

  • markus setiadi

Their professionalism is top of the world. So far I’ve had appointment with 3 of different doctors and surprisingly their professionalism are the same. Especially for my parents who are barely speak English, Dr. Emma and Dr. Delfin passionately explained everything slowly and made sure that my parents understand what’s going on, because sometime me as a translator missed one or two points. Dr. Ed also has a sound knowledge and always bring professional but fun kinda vibe. Thanks Your Hobart Doctor!

  • James Constantine

During this time of Covid & hospital staffing issues etc. Unless you absolutely have to go to the ER, this practice is a great alternative for non urgent care. All the staff, from front office, to the nursing staff and the doctors are all caring and attentive! I brought in an elderly neighbour who I was concerned about and they all took care of him with such care and attention. Thank you so, so much! I highly recommend this full service medical centre with an adjoining pharmacy within the premises.

  • Aditya Malik

Extremely dismal level of service. Everytime I've come here I've had to wait for at least 30 minutes if not more. What is the point of booking an appointment and asking patients to arrive early if this is the case. For example, I had an appointment scheduled at 530pm on Saturday 27th August but at 530pm the doctor was taking someone else in and I waited for 30 minutes. At the very least you should be respectful of other people's time as well and be polite enough to inform them about any delays.

  • Sophie Whitton

My GP Karen Vaughan is excellent however the receptionist is a major let down. Called today to book a TeleHealth appointment as the website requested in which she yelled down the phone saying she had none. She asked if i was another patient even after i told her my name and went and booked me in with a another doctor instead. Several times that i have called up in the last few months, this receptionist has rudely answered the phone, no greeting or willingness to help.

  • Tom Flynn

My wife and I have been seeing various doctors here for several years, and it started out as a good experience, but since having our son, when we ask for a consultation on top of his immunizations, it gets booked in but then the doctors always claim it wasn’t and act like we’re taking up their time with things when we don’t have a booking. Clearly they’re just fobbing us off to save time, and it’s been a problem with 2 different doctors. Quite disappointing.

  • Emily Walter

Amazing staff. So far everyone has been very helpful and pleasant. No long wait times. Today I had a procedure done that was quite unpleasant and a bit stressful, Nurse A came in just to comfort me and put me at ease and made a massive difference to my experience. Also, I was half an hour late to my appointment due to me getting my appointment time wrong but they still got me in which is a big effort n their behalf. Thankyou to all the wonderful staff

  • Deena King

Dr. Sara Ranjbar is very rude. She had left off details on a blood test and was very quick to start pointing fingers and blaming other people which was so uncomfortable. The room went silent after that. She was unable to take accountability and showed little care toward me. Also seemed money hungry. I usually see Dr. Logan and he is great! Really caring and thorough. The receptionist aren’t great either they seem like they hate their job and it shows.

  • Mira v

First time at this clinic, I was seen by Dr Alphious. By far the nicest GP I have ever come across in my 30+ years of being alive in Australia. I was also seen a bit earlier than the appointment time which I had never experienced before (I'm used to waiting 30 mins or over). The receptionist was very warm & welcoming as well as the girl I spoke to at the pharmacy which is connected making it very convenient for any prescription medication.

  • Eva HardRain

I have been a patient at YourHobartDoctor for about 2 years and have finally found a new practice, as I have constantly found the practitioners and receptionists very cold and rude. I have been changing practitioners within the practice and have never felt valued or listened to or cared for by any of them. Generally they are unhelpful and wanting to get you out of their office ASAP. The staff at the conjoining chemist have been lovely.

  • Hami Mousavipour

I have met Dr.Neda Javan Manesh, Dr.Emma Foster and Dr.Karen Vaughan and they were all very helpful. I had to sit down for 20-30min sometimes but I understand its hard to time the appointments for any doctor. Saw some reviews that were more negative. Honestly, seeing these doctors in their uncomfortable PPEs all the time makes me not ever want to be a doctor. I think they are all doing a great job and need appreciation from us.

  • Amelia Crook

Wow the receptionist is awful! I asked if I could come in to get a medical certificate and she asked if I was an existing patient and I said no and she straight up said no you can’t come in and told me to go to a pharmacy instead. After seeing all these horrible reviews about the receptionists surely the owners would look at this and make a change. My family goes to this doctor and I’ve now told them to go elsewhere.

  • Sarah Pataky

This place is honestly brilliant, and I am so appreciative for the caring service we receive - often after hours. All staff here deserve the highest of praise for helping families avoid ED, getting urgent scripts sorted and for their exemplary service all round. Thanks so much guys. You’ve helped us out quite a few times in the last few weeks, and we really are so grateful.

  • Cheney Booth

Had a doctor from here write an "urgent" referral to private psychiatry. I had sat waiting for months to hear back, only to find out that she wrote the referral 3-4 weeks ago. This has impeded my ability to find work quite seriously. Not only is it lazy, but as far as I'm concerned it's malpractice and I should be sueing. Very disappointed. Don't go to Dr Sally Peacock.

  • Sky Lanham

Very kind receptionists and chemists. I saw Dr Ranjbar and felt dismissed. He did not address my symptoms, saying I needed mental health treatment therefore would be pointless to investigate physical symptoms. Reluctantly gave me a referral as I pushed for one. He stated that my anxiety would cause problems in my relationship. This was a very hurtful thing to say.

  • Ying ching Man

I just called them 3 times. the first time the clinic was too busy, so they hang me up. I waited for 45 minutes and I called them again. A lady said Hi. I tried to say something, but it seems like I am too slow to react. They hang up again. Then, I waited for another hour and called them again. She say hi and I said' hi, how are you '. She hang up again.

  • Rodney Batten

Dr alphious,He is useless, why lead me on saying next time I see you we can sort scripts out.You knew damn well I was the one who had to fill request form out for transfer of medical file.YET YOU SAID NOTHING OF THE SORT. INCOMPETENT.You shouldn't be doing the afyeah things don't change with drs, Real understanding Geordie Morgan. Thanks for nothing

  • Brooke Otten

The most amazingly kind and compassionate group of humans in reception. My GP Dr Karen Vaughn is thorough, kind, listens and is compassionate. I couldn’t recommend this practice more. Freind who have taken my advice to swap medical practices to Your Hobart Health are beyond relieved to find a space they are treated with kindness and a safe space.

  • Sarah Hughes

What an incredible service I received from the phone call with Poppy getting me in ASAP then fast tracking that appointment to a few hours sooner. To Dr Bahman treating me instantly and being extremely thorough and kind easing my mind every step of the way. When you receive a service like this $130 isn’t as hard to hand over that’s for sure.

  • Jian Hao Goh

Horrible experience with the receptionist and not the first time. But in addition to that I did a lab test 5 days ago after a consult, didn’t receive a call back from the doctor regarding the results. Although the results were already sent from the pathology centre shortly after I did my test (can’t get the results from the pathology either)

  • Haz

SCAMMERS - DO NOT GO HERE!!! Going here I receive 15 seconds of information, then they give me a recommendation of what to do, and say bye. Avoid here if possible. Update: went to another place, and they said I may possibly have shingles, after “your Hobart doctor” told me not to worry about it. Please avoid this place at all costs

  • Inneka

Just paid $35 for an appointment over the phone that lasted 5 minutes and 42 seconds. For a uni student just trying to get better before exam season, that is ridiculous. I will not be booking with Dr Mehrdad Abbasianasl again and I do not recommend him. However Doctor Sally Peacock is an amazing doctor and I do recommend her.

  • nosheen qasim

Dr. Stacey such a wonderful doctor as she make me feel so safe, and the Receptionist was amazing too as she booked me in straight away when she saw me in pain. There is no question that Dr. Stacey has the perfect combination of care and responsibility. I would like to say "Thank you for taking so much care of your patients"

  • Ting-Wei Ho

Definitely the rudest clinic I've ever been. The receptionist was awfully disrespectful to patients and messages were never passed onto appropriate units or allied health workers. Would not recommended anyone to seek for medical care from here. Probably the worst medical experience I have ever experienced in Australia.

  • Amisha Chudal

Not so good experience. They make you wait for 1 hour . My husband had his appointment at 10 :15 am and it's been 10:56 we are still waiting outside in the waiting room. They should understand the value of time . This is not for the first time its happening. Even the last time same thing happened .

  • Mingkhwan A

I went to see the doctor Neda Javen today suspecting I might have depression, but the doctor seemed rushed and yelled at me to tell her a story. I tried to talk about my symptoms, but not only was it caring, it made me cry and felt uncomfortable,It was my very bad experience first time in there.

  • Jeff Fowler

Dr Geordie Morgan was very proffesional, kind and caring. The whole of the consultation process was smooth and on time in a busy practice. Thanks to the front of house office staff, the nurses and of course Dr Geordie Morgan. The practice made me feel welcome, I recomend this service. Jeff

  • Philip North

I have visited just the once so far and really appreciated how doctor Mark Baldock took his time to listen to me. My wife has been very impressed in how he has been providing medical care for herself and both her aged parents. Having all the medical services all in one place is excellent.

  • Lisa Turvey

Have been in the waiting room for 30 mins, dr Neda came out and quietly called my name on the opposite side of the waiting room, I didn’t hear her so she took the patient after me. I’m now waiting for a further 30 mins for my appointment that I turned up early for. Super unimpressed.

  • Rebecca Musket

Visited the practice with a friend who was unwell. Reception staff so friendly, very impressed at the services at the practice. My friend said her dr was so nice & she felt very comfortable. Chemist on site was also a welcome surprise. A one stop shop for healthcare. Great practice

  • Kaweesha De Alwis

1st time experience and consultation with Dr Anthony Baresic was excellent. He is such a wonderful doctor and was happy to see my 2 weeks old baby within a few hours after my call to the clinic. Reception staff was lovely, very helpful and understanding of our situation.

  • Goh Fangxin

The after hours doctor service is excellent. Dr Mark was kind, attended to my child and explained very well. The best thing about this practise is the fact scripts can be filled instantaneously at the chemist and I have to add that the pharmacist was very friendly!

  • sangam chhetri

Terrible experiences of dealing with reception. I had requested for a change in referral, had to call them for 10 times, still didn’t happen then I had to go there myself and pick up a printed version. No seriousness in processing customer’s requests/concerns.

  • Frances Terry

Right from the very professional and kind Receptionist through to the extremely helpful Doctors with great listening skills, my elderly Mum is well looked after at this practice. Great convenience of chemist in same doctors’ complex. Would recommend to anyone.

  • Justin Kou

Overall Terrible experience. Front desk forget to induct us. Waiting until 30 mind come back to front desk ask again they forget. The doctor Google staff in front of us. Treat patient and nurse very inpatient. Never come back again. Not recommend anyone

  • James Polanowski In The Pipeline Pty Ltd

I visited Dr Mehrdad Abbasianasl for the first time today. Wow, what a doc. He had plenty of time to listen to my story and in return, gave me a very detailed explanation. It was a pleasure to meet a doctor with so much passion and knowledge. Cheers

  • JZ PersonalTraining

My young son had been to see 3 doctors in the same week, all saying he had a simple cold when he ended up in hospital with two burst ear drums and a virus. The assessments are poor as nothing was actually picked up and receptionists extremely rude.

  • Fiza S

I'm from the mainland, so was a bit sceptical due to reviews. However, booking was a breeze on hot doc. Reception staff was polite and professional and Dr Mehrdad was exceptional with my 4 year old and knew exactly what to do and prescribe.

  • Paul N

Knowledgeable, caring doctors that listen! Convenient location! Pharmacy on premises! Blood lab on premises! Even a cafe!! But more importantly, I have been incredibly impressed by the level of care! My partner also had the same experience.

  • Y Huang

Hi YourHobartDoctor, would you please change your receptionist? Not sure about her name but I will let you know next time I will ask her. She makes me feel that I owe her a lot of money. I love the GPs here. Can't love more. But don't let

  • Krystal huang

I didn't do any consultation with the Dr but the staff said I need to pay for the full standard consultation fee, the Dr didn't say any words and didn't do anything then charge me $90. How easy the money come, the clinic is like a robber.

  • Sandeep Saini

There is a problem with the management. They charged me $85 for a medical assessment last time I went. They asked $155 this time. When I asked why $155 this time. They didn’t had any answer. Then they said ok pay $100 but we will not put

  • Rachael Garrett

UPDATE: Please do not go to this clinic. I spent a year trying to get decent healthcare from them. They told me I had asthma, when it was actually a clot on my lung. I then went back and told them more symptoms, they brushed me off with

  • A Smith

Would not recommend booking with Dr Anand Pemmulu. He made some personal comments about my appearance as well as some fairly presumptive statements about me as a personal that made me uncomfortable during my mental health appointment.

  • stella mcniven

Rude reception. Had the phone hung up on me multiple times. Doctor never believed symptoms and went through multiple just to get a referral to a specialist that I ended up desperately needing at that point. Don’t waste your time here.

  • Zoe Cowles

Over the last few weeks my family has been attending Your Hobart Health, and receptionist Popi and doctors have been nothing but helpful. Appointments made straight away and no wait time. Will definitely keep attending this Practice.

  • Cecilia C

After waiting for 20 minutes at the reception to be seen by Dr Anthony, i received a very rude treatment. I do not recommend seeing him on a Sunday. Not when you are on a vulnerable situation intending to see an empathetic doctor.

  • Yu

Worst experience in my life. I’m not native English speaker and I wanted to book an appointment but not sure which doctor I should book. I tried to explain on the phone then the receptionist just hung up my call in the middle of

  • Sarah

Dr Mark Baldock has been extremely helpful. He listens, and takes your symptoms seriously. One of the good ones! So grateful to have found him. Also the staff at the pharmacy are great too - they're friendly and approachable :)

  • Lucy Navabpour

I’m have seen a couple different doctors at Your Hobart Doctor and they have been fantastic. Very caring and thorough. It’s also easy to get an appointment and the reception staff are courteous and helpful. Highly recommend!

  • georgie

Doctor was nice but assessment was very poor. Diagnosed me with a viral infection then turned me away, didn't give me any prescription or remedy suggestions - basically said you'll get over it. I should've begged for it.

  • Ann Tuddenham

I saw Dr Carlton while on holidays in Tassie. She was very thorough and professional and took the time to call me regarding my results. Wait time was quick. The staff a Blooms chemist in the same building are lovely.

  • Craig Stanley

It takes forever to get through to them, iv tried calling 3 times today all over 45min waiting for them to pick-up phone. Currently on phone now 4 time today Currently at 23min and 50sec absolutely terrible service.

  • Hayley Thompson

Dr Sonja Coetzee was extremely rude and dismissive of my partner when we were asking for help and guidance. Will never see her again her manners are poor and she gives no comfort to those seeking her medical help.

  • R C

OK if need urgent appointment. For fast turnaround situation, but not real care. And you certainly are charged accordingly. Felt like a churn and burn business, judge first and fast, listening not a priority.

  • Anita Jovanovski

I had a fantastic experience at this clinic. From Jaime at reception who was so welcoming and understanding, to my doctor Dr. Karen Vaughan who is brilliant, caring and friendly. Definitely recommended.

  • Jill Bloomfield

I've been very impressed since moving to this surgery. The reception staff are lovely & helpful, Dr Manesh is very professional. Yes, I had a long wait, but I expect this at a GP surgery

  • ynoter1

On-time and friendly receptionist, doctor knowledgeable and listens to my issues. Don't trust all the reviews here as negative experiences are more likely to be left than positive ones.

  • Lakshman Sounder

bad coustomer service past one year i have been seeing this clinic gp for my health releated issue and for everything the clinic is nice and neat then doctors are gem they are best

  • Dave

Very impressed with this clinic, was referred to Dr Bahman Ranjbar and he has helped me with multiple issues. Highly recommended clinic, with friendly neighbour pharmacists!

  • Kit M

I love this doctor's practice. I can always get in to see one of the doctors and I haven't had a single negative experience. You guys are doing a fantastic job. Thank you!!

  • Anna Smith

I’m a regular patient of Dr Logan, and have found him to be very thorough and follows up with specific issues. The receptionist Roberta is so lovely and friendly!

  • Nilesh Bartlett

The GPs are excellent but the admin is a nightmare. Specially if you’re waiting on important results. They’re notorious for never calling you back.

  • Ash

Anthony is such an amazing doctor, he is very thorough and listens well, rare qualities to find in a doctor in Hobart. Lovely reception too.

  • Angeliqui Angeliqui

Highly recommend, efficient healthcare service over the Christmas break. Previous Reviews do not reflect service that was provided

  • Janine Mitchell

Great team of doctors and nurses. They really look at u as a person and are very thorough. Pathology team are great too.

  • David Stewart

Faultless service all round. I had Dr Mehrdad who was an excellent clinician and an absolute gentleman. Would recommend.

  • mosmin sherasia

The receptionist is so rude and not helpful at all as if she is owning the place. I would not have gone there
