I am rating this place a 4 just because of Dr. Roy Patankar. Had it not been him, I wouldn't have rated them higher than 2. The insensitive officials and junior doctors in OPD are the reason for that. Would have rated this place 5/5 as the other IPD patients have, if the officials and the junior doctors in OPD treated patients with the same level of care and respect for OPD patients with chronic illness. This hospital though is very good for IPD patients but is not that great for OPD patients with chronic illness. If you have like a bout of food poisoning or have stomach ache etc, then you can still visit their OPD and get very good consultation. But if you have any chronic illness (which requires regular medication but not hospitalisation), then I would recommend you to visit the centre keeping the following issues in mind :- 1. For a follow up appointment, you'll have to end up waiting for more than a month or two. Make no mistake, they do have slots everyday for OPD but they say it is only for new patients which is so illogical and unheard of and a bit insensitive as well for patients with chronic illnesses. Also if you are one of those lucky patients who gets a follow up appointment, please do make sure to reach on time and do not attend to any of your personal emergenices because if you are late and tell the OPD officials that you really had a personal emergency, they wouldn't listen to you at all. They'll instead get angry and tell you to visit after a couple of months, no less! Extremely insensitive and abrasive behaviour you ll get from the OPD officials. 2. If you are in a far away location, within city or outside the city or state boundaries, you cannot get in touch with them if you need any help. This happened to me, despite Dr. Roy Patankar himself stating that they are open to video consultation but the OPD staff are not cooperative enough and neither are the junior doctors, to set up the video consultation. Make no mistake, the OPD treatment that you get is very good but the problem lies in follow up treatments. To get an appointment, you literally end up begging to the OPD officials and they then act god which is really frustrating. At times they even speak insensitively despite you stating that there's issue that is bugging you daily. And the emergency number is not useful as well if you stay a bit far off. For a regular chronic issue like acidity, they would ask you to get admitted in casualty at Zen Hospital for treatment or give some date for some other doctor (within zen hospital only) to go and visit them, who mostly are junior doctors.

Hello, I am a Food Engineer from IIT Kharagpur an Entrepreneur based in Mumbai. I had discovered a Cyst (tissue growth) in my stomach and consulted Dr Roy Patankar Sir. Being a novice, this whole experience was quite new from me, and I ended meeting many Doctors trying to understand the seriousness of my problem and right way forward. My first meeting with Sir, I could sense his immense knowledge, experience and absolute clarity on the subject. He advised me for a surgery with either Laparoscopic or Robotic assisted options. I found out the difference and opted for Robotic option. As was briefed by Sir, it was a right decision, now that I have experienced it, Robotic further empowers surgeon to do the job better with a quicker healing time and is less painful. I was operated Saturday afternoon and today is Monday, and I am just about to get discharged, writing about my experience. I am totally impressed by Dr. Patankar Sir and entire team of doctors to see the level of ethics, competence . He is an extraordinary intelligent and gifted Doctor with human values. Apart from dedication, he also has approach to observe neutrality and impartiality, whereas interacting with him, a patient resulting in great relief from stress gets confidence and clarity on way forward. Hardly find such noncommercial and “true-approach” Doctors in this era. Zen Hospital facilities are fantastic. Everything right from first meeting, the admission process till surgery, post operative care went very smooth. I felt quite “at home” and like “service with care”. When you interact and experience the entire team, one can feel the values, with care, are flowing through from top and reflecting in the team starting from the medical, nursing, office staff & down the line till support staff - Mamas, Mausi. I wish Sir and his entire team a grand success. May God bless him and wonderful team at Zen. Best wishes for the future and their continued endeavor in care creating new benchmark in healthcare industry. With best wishes, Atul Ganediwala.

My husband Dr. Arun Nanivadekar was admitted to ICU of Zen Hospital on 10th August after he developed difficulty in swallowing and mental confusion on 9th. A throat swab for PCR had been taken before admission was found to be H3N2, a variant of Influenza A virus, to be positive . He received excellent treatment from Senior Physician Dr. Anant Gore. The entire staff of ICU from Residents, nurses and labour Staff was kind and courteous. His calories and hydration was maintained by a tube through his nose and requirements managed under expert guidance of Ms Priya Palan, Nutritionist at Zen. His swallowing difficulty continued for months after discharge and swallowing exercises were taught at home by Dr. Sapna Shah, Speech and Swallowing Therapist. Arun improved slowly over 3 months and is now able to eat most soft items and drink liquids. His feeding tube was removed for the last time on 22nd Nov. During this period, Arun required 5 changes of his feeding tube and this was kindly done by Dr.Pramod Kale, Chief Anaesthetist of Zen Hospital. Spasm of Arun's throat muscles proved a challenging task for Dr. Kale. The last change of the tube was done by Dr. Shalaka Dighe, ENT Specialist who also did FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Assessment of Swallowing) to further study if the improvement could be accelerated by any other means than throat exercises. We are greatful to Dr. Gore, (who saved Arun's life) Dr. Sneha Shah, (who is entirely responsible for Arun being being able to swallow now), Ms Priya Palan, Dr. Pramod Kale and Dr.Shalaka Dighe for their invaluable advice and help in keeping Arun alive and well.

As a patient always in a hurry, I need to state this loudly and very clearly. This is one Medical Team always there for you....no matter what. Happy Modak time to All, on that note. Also, would love to use this public platform to endorse that one anti-fever, anti-pain medicine which I find, somehow, even safer than Dolo, Crocin. It is Calpol. Thanks. In continuation.... (and in the context of the AYUSH query), this is my re-reply (I am currently unable to get to the previous reply I made online....hence...) AYUSH, I think is a group of Alternate Medicine Practices that does Not include Allopathy. It is an online system (computer network of health-related information). Now, I remember having mentioned CGHS and/or ESIC. These two terms are slightly different to AYUSH, I believe. But, if I may, empaneling hospitals under AYUSH always comes at humongous cost pertaining to electronic devices/software etc. (not to mention, unwanted, vicious confusion between lines of treatment; modes of treatment). Please note, this is my personal opinion only. So does Zen Multispecialty Hospital need empaneling under AYUSH? Depends on how many BAMS and/or BHMS doctors are practicing there, among other things. As for Govt. guidelines (if any) in this regard, it is between BMC and Zen Multispecialty. Hope this helps. Thanks.

One of the best hospitals in Chembur area. My wife recently got her delivery done at Zen hospital and we were blessed with a baby girl. Her treatment through out the pregnency duration was carried out by Dr Veena Aurangabadwalla. She is an amazing doctor. Understands the patients queries, provides the correct feedback. It was her who did my wife's delivery via C-Section. She made us understood in advance why there was a need for the C-Section and a normal delivery was not possible. She successfully carried out the procedure. After the baby and my wife were shifted to the private room, the floor staff gave the best support and treatment to my wife and baby. The nurses would come right on time to give medicines to my wife and also to look after the baby. Even the hospital's cafe staff would bring in the food for my wife on time to time basis without any delay. And hence with all this support, help and care - my wife and baby got discharged within 4 days instead of planned 5 days. A big thank you to Zen Hospital.

  • Vikas Kothari

Third class hospital with third class facilities for patient. Can you imagine a hospital without even spitting pan in ICU?? The ward boys chew tobacco ghutkas in mouth while talking to patients and relatives. They along with sisters ask relatives to go out of icu when they want to ill-treat critical patients. One boy asked my father to slide upwards on inclined bed, my father reported me later. His condition was critical and who just came out of heart stroke. Moreover before doctor arrived sisters tied hands of my father with bed to give him oxegen which was not at all needed. This kind of hospitality they have all around in the hospital. Why I am saying this because when ICU is such then one can easily judge how the hospital floors must be treating patients. For this hospital patients health is not at primary importance but money from their relatives. If you want to worsen the already critical health of your dear ones, then only think of this hospital. Reading my note might save life of someone..

Very pathetic Hospital....Doctors are for money only without knowledge. Not toilet facility for patients, Not AC working, after many patients complaints they don't care for them Dr Vikrant Shah is very Pathetic doctor, when we visit 1st time he didn't check to patient at all and give a list of 13 reports to do, after all reports came we go back to show him, He said I need only 1 report, so why he wrote other 12 reports in file. And in 2nd time also he didn't checked patient and consult properly. So by these ways this guy's are wasting money of patients, and charges very high in both times. Please guys avoid this kind of fraud hospital, which have no care of patients and only care for money and waste your money in his commission branches. Please tell people to don't visit this fraud and also report this hospital to cancel license to loot patients. Many other nice hospitals in our area which are looking small but taking care of patients in better way.

My wife was admitted at ZEN hospital for surgery by Dr. Roy Patankar & Dr. Veena Aurangabadwalla. After my experience there I will not call ZEN a hospital but an extended family home. Extremely courteous and caring Doctors , Nurses , house keeping guys, canteen staff & the administrative staff make your stay very comfortable during this stressful period in the patients life. Our room was very well maintained & was being cleaned almost 4 to 5 times daily. Hygiene maintainence is of utmost important factor driving the staff. They are very punctual with the timings given for procedures which was a very big pleasant surprise inspite of being a big & busy hospital. Canteen food provided can beat good hotels in the quality , taste & price. Overall a very pleasant experience without any complaints. Thank-you so much to the entire team of ZEN hospital for being so humane & wonderful.

  • Aishwarya Damodar

One of the worst management at grassroot level. We wanted to get angioplasty done there for a family member. Even when they had no beds vacant and unclear about bed availability; the receptionist was trying to get us to commit what kind of room would we want while planning to keep the patient in the waiting area on the stretcher post-operation. Her intent was only to understand the potential billing. In a separate incident, we had to get NCV test done in Zen as this test is only conducted by them in Chembur. The reports were not mailed or WhatsApped as committed. So, when we went to collect it personally, we were kept waiting for an hour only to be told that they did not know where the report was kept by the concerned person who was not reachable. After endless search, they found it under their xerox machine. So much for all their tall claims.

  • Chhaya Taralkar

Dr Roy Patankar one of the best in Maharashtra. Expert in gastroenterology, soft spoken , gives ample time to patients to understand their issues . I visit his clinic for consultation whenever Doctors in my nearby area fail to find effective treatment for my stomach related issues , In 2010 after undergoing hernia operation in Vashi MGM by a local renowned surgeon.I had most difficult time in my life. I suffered from IBS & when 2/3 well known gastroenterologists failed to find proper treatment . I went to Dr Roy Patankar & within 2 days I started feeling better & I recovered fully in 2 months. Thanks to Dr Roy Patankar. Staff & assistant Doctors are also cooperative.always ready to help.Even if doctor's appointments are full.they call if any patient cancels his appointment.this certainly helps those who need to consult at the earliest .

  • Mala Daryani

Dr. Roy Patankar and his team have been nothing but a god send for me. I fell critically ill with a very rare and serious illness while visiting my daughter overseas and the doctors there could not complete all their surgeries as I had become too weak. After a lot of research and referrals, Dr. Patankar and his team were the clear front runners to help me with my gastric reconstruction surgery upon my return. It was a highly complex procedure that lasted over 6 hours and went without any complications! The post-operative care and follow ups have been excellent. I cannot recommend Zen enough. A BIG thank you to Dr Patankar, Dr Majid, Dr Sanatan, Dr Kalikar, Dr Vinith, Dr Palan, Dr Ajit and the countless other doctors, nurses and support staff for giving me the ability to relive a normal life. I am forever grateful.

  • Siddharth Malhotra

EXTREMELY satisfied by the care and services provided by the hospital. Had gotten admitted for a rectal procedure 2 months back. Not only was the procedure successful, but the pre and post surgery preparation and care was top class. Comfortable and clean rooms, impeccable attention from the nursing staff, par excellence infrastructure and facilities, and timely administrative processes make this hospital at par with other major hospitals in the city, at affordable and reasonable costs to the patient. Special mention to Dr. Roy Patankar and his team for providing a world class treatment experience! He was very patient and warm while listening to my concerns, answering all questions politely and expertly. Would definitely recommend him and this hospital for any colorectal and gastrointestinal treatment.

My mother has chronic sinus. The doctor treating her recommended a surgery and he suggested we get her admitted to Zen in Chembur. My mother was hospitalised for 2 nights there. The treatment at Zen pre and post surgery was a breeze. They have an excellent nursing team which takes care and comes to visit the patient every now and then. You dont need to remind them at all. The rooms and facilities are super clean. The pantry was also good. They customized the diet as per my mother's ailment and kept feeding her throughout the day. The TPA team is super quick too. They processed my claims quickly. Everything in Zen is very process driven which makes it easy for the patient and the relative who is with them. I will definitely recommend this place for anyone who needs a surgery.

I recently had ACL and meniscus surgery at Zen Hospital, and I’m incredibly grateful for Dr. Nikhil Iyer’s expertise and the caring hospital staff to make the surgery successful. Dr. Vinith, my physiotherapist, played a crucial role in my recovery with unwavering support and effective guidance. I've achieved full range of motion and regained the ability to walk and climb stairs seamlessly. Zen Hospital deserves commendation for its top-notch facilities, cleanliness and welcoming environment. The staff demonstrated a commitment to patient well-being, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience. I strongly recommend Zen Hospital for their exceptional role in my successful surgery and recovery. Thanks for your dedication to outstanding healthcare.

  • Ansh Aherwar

I underwent Bankart lesion surgery and Hill-sachs lesion repair surgery due to 'anterior dislocation and labrum tissue tear' in my shoulder. Post surgery, I have been under the supervision of Dr. Vinith Karanth and visible changes can be seen in my shoulder now, with improved range of motion as well. He is an excellent and well experienced physiotherapist. He has professionalism and at the same time has a very friendly approach which made me quite comfortable. Dr. Vinith took the time to understand my concerns and gave me proper guidance throughout the treatment. Now I'm getting better and better everyday, all thanks to his support and dedication.

  • Mridula Sidagam

My dad was admitted here when he had a black out and fell down. He was admitted into the ICU and was recovered in 2 days. After 1 week, he suddenly experienced swelling in his body and breathlessness. We rushed him to Hinduja hospital where he was diagnosed with fatal infection. On investigation we found out that this infection is caused from unhygienic hospital conditions. Possibly happened from an infected urine pot used at the ICU in Zen. If not treated on time, it could have been fatal. While I am writing this, he is on continuous dialysis as his kidneys are not functioning due to this infection. I would never recommend this hospital to anyone.

  • Tushar Ranjan

Absolutely wonderful experience at Zen Hospital under the care of Dr. Roy Patankar and his team. We were referred here for a Cholecystectomy. Right from the initial consultation where Dr. Patankar was informative, patient and reassuring, to the actual operation itself and pre and post operative care - everything was top notch. More than the skill and quality of care, what my mom (the patient) and we as a family truly appreciated was the caring nature of the staff. Everyone from the support staff in the OT to the nurses and caretakers were excellent. In short, I would recommend Zen Hospital without hesitation. Superb experience.

  • Susanna Santosh

Zen, zen ....never again!!! I had a miserable experience. My eldest son got bitten by our puppy on Sunday Evening! We went to the Casualty as NO other Doctor was available. He was given 6 injections on the Spot, 4 were apparently"immunoglobulin" apart from the usual tetanus and rabies. When I asked the intern the need for so many injections, he said it is to prevent any issues. Later on, our trusted family Doctor told us that the "preventive" injections (the most costly) were to be given in case of obviously rabid dogs! The bill was a whopping 7,000/-...... Definitely not Zen.....never again

  • HARSH MALETA

The experience I had with the zen hospital was quite good I would be thankful to all the doctors, the nursing staff the coordinators the anasthesia team and each and everyone at zen hospital. The staff is co operative they will give a personal touch once you are at the hospital.I went on with the surgery but it was like home for me all the people at hospital those where working helped me alot. They never let you go down they help you in each activity which is to be carried in a peaceful manner without obstruction. I prefer zen you should too.

  • Prayaga Sandu

I recently underwent right knee MPFL reconstruction surgery and am currently undergoing physiotherapy with Dr.Vinith Karanth’s guidance. I can't express how grateful I am for his expertise. His dedication to my recovery was evident from day one and he was so patient and nice during our sessions. He also was very informative about my injury and the steps taken towards recovery. I feel so much better now, and it's all thanks to him. I highly recommend Dr.Vinith to anyone in need of post-surgery rehabilitation. He truly excel in his field!

  • Reenal Borana

Excellent treatment and wonderful facilities are what you can expect at Zen Hospital. From admission to discharge, all the processes were carried out smoothly and quickly. The support and care provided by each doctor and staff member was commendable. Special thanks to Dr. Ramesh Patankar and Dr. Vinith Karanth for their excellent treatment, guidance and assistance because of which my dad is able to recover quickly from his paralytic stroke. I would highly recommend this hospital, especially to those living in Chembur and nearby areas.

  • Joel Santosh

My experience at Zen Hospital's casualty ward was extremely disappointing. I visited on a Sunday for treatment of a dog bite, and the level of unprofessionalism I encountered was shocking. The doctors administered a total of six injections, including unnecessary doses of 'rabies immunoglobulin.' To make matters worse, my family overheard the doctors questioning the necessity of these injections among themselves. This experience was nothing short of horrible, and I would strongly advise against seeking treatment at Zen Hospital.

  • Ravi Iyer

it was a real good experience in the hospital. they all gave us very good service support and most importantly each one of them boosted the patients morale and imbibed courage in her. it was a display of true humanistic approach clubbed with sympathy and empathy. Doctors were also really wonderful. made the patient cool and eased out her fear. Sisters Maushis Support staff right from the security the liftman ward bys etc displayed exemplary support and gave excellent service. Salute to all of them.

  • Jose S Thomas

Zen hospital like most in-city facilities doesn't have the luxury of space. But it makes that up with the quality of people. The facilities is well maintained and clean. Doctors and medical staff are warm and approachable. The attendence and support staff are friendly and supportive. Pantry service and food was good and prompt. The TPA team was coperative and helpful. Overall we had a good experience. As a feedback, would like to see them working on the common waiting areas and it's washrooms.

  • Swati Gite

I recently received treatment for food poisoning at Zen Hospital and was very impressed with the level of care I received. The admission process was smooth and the staff were friendly and attentive. During my stay, I received medication and additional care that helped me recover quickly. The hospital was clean and well-maintained, and the food was decent. Overall, I would highly recommend Zen Hospital to others in need of medical care.

Big..Thank you to everyone at Zen for such satisfying experience.

Pathetic treatment by Zen, they are making all juniors, kids at reception, diagnostic & casualty. I recently had an emergency for doing ultrasound, very lousy approach, nobody attended us said need fresh doctor prescription. They definitely had no idea how to manage emergency case, no seniors or managers around to guide patients.
