Awesome little zoo! We'd never been to Tassie and were going to go to another place but was recommended to come here because it was more interactive for our son. Absolutely wonderful experience! My son and I got to feed the lioness for free! I can't remember his name but one of the wombats is just like a puppy! Being able to feed most of the animals with pellets was a plus, we would place some near our son so the animals would come near to him and then he got a chance to interact with them without being bombarded (the kangaroos and goats could be a bit much for small kids). The playground was a bonus too! When we're back in Tassie next we'll be coming back, thanks guys!

Fantastic family day out! Zoodoo is well worth the visit. I've lived in Tassie for many years and this was my first visit taking our grandkids for a day out at Zoodoo. The previous week we were in Sydney and took the kids to Taronga Zoo. While that visit was good I think the kids got more 'memories' from Zoodoo. We were much closer to lions, walked among Kangaroos and Wallabies, hand fed numerous animals and left with a greater sense of having 'been' with the animals. AND we didn't have to walk anywhere near the big distances which were so tiring for little legs.

We just wanted to see the devils and wombats :(

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Zoodoo Zoo is an absolute delight for animal enthusiasts! Offering unique close encounters with servals, meerkats, and marmosets, this experience is both thrilling and educational. Interacting closely with these magnificent animals is an unforgettable adventure. The zoo provides an incredible opportunity to observe these creatures up close, fostering a deeper understanding of their behaviors and habitats. The chance to engage with servals, meerkats, and marmosets creates cherished moments, making the visit truly special. Zoodoo Zoo is must-visit destination for wildlife enthusiasts of all ages.

Had the best time at the serval encounter, couldn't recommend it highly enough! All the other animals are fantastic as well, I don't think we missed out on seeing a single one. The keepers are lovely and incredibly knowledgeable and the cafe staff are friendly and helpful. The play area is also brilliant and gives parents a chance to relax and have a coffee while the kids play. I had the sweet chilli chicken and sour cream wrap and an almond milk iced coffee, both were delicious!

What an amazing place to visit! We spent all day there. So much of the zoo you can walk around right amongst the animals. The playground is also amazing that can cater for big groups, highly suitable for kids party for suit. They have also introduced the annual pass which includes your entry fee on the day, think about it, it’s annual pass and what a great savings, Great getaway and enjoy the day relaxing, take a break from hustle & bustle and enjoy what the nature offers... So beautiful, it’s definitely one of our favourite spot for day trips.

Don’t be fooled by the reviews, this is my second time visiting this zoo been from out of state and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Brett on the tour truck was fantastic to have full of laughter and jokes. He goes out of his way to ensure everyone gets to feed the animals and a good old scratch. The zoo isn’t the largest but we easily spent 4 hours here been amazed all over again with just the information they could provide and the chance to even feed a lion. I would recommend this place to any one with children for a fun family day out.

I came especially here from Queensland because of the ability to get up close with the servals .I loved this place it was about 30 mins out of Hobart and not crazy busy I found the experience to be professional relaxing and the animals seemed to really benefit from not being in a busy zoo. All enclosures were clean and animals looked healthy .I always feel for the lions though truely believe no space will ever be enough for them,in saying that they looked incredibly well cared for and content. Keep up the great work guys I will be back

This was one of our favourite experiences in Tasmania! The kids absolutely loved it, and we treated them to the cotton top monkey and Tasmanian Devil feeding experiences which blew their mind. The park is really well laid out, with lots of open space, and it was great to see the animals have more space to roam than a traditional zoo. If you have littlies, there is also a great indoor playground in case they have some aream to still blow off.

Excellent experience. Went with my 2 kids who are under 10. They enjoyed the safari ride with the extreme close up encounters with the emus, zebras and camels. The camels were especially friendly and basically came inside the vehicle for the ultimate close-up. The free-range nature of the animal enclosures allows an easy, laidback way of interacting with the animals. And most allow you to get really up close and pet the animals. Would come back if I'm ever in Tas again. Price is also very reasonable.

I decided to have my daughters 9th birthday at ZOODOO....IT WAS AWESOME! We didn't think we would last the whole 3 hours but we did n more... The kids got to make practical things for animals whilst learning. The party room was brilliant, the hosts were lovely! Emma's 1st time hosting and she Aced it we weren't rushed....we saw everything and nothing was too much trouble. The food was lovely, cakes delicious and exciting party bags. The afternoon was FANTASTIC! Thank you Zoodoo, Tamara and Emma!

I live in Hobart and my family was travelling all the way from Brisbane, Tassie weather was a bit cold for my 14 months niece wasn't feeling well so I recommended Zoo Doo indoor to play for my niece but staff mentioned we all have to pay for each individual even though we didn't wanted to visit zoo. We were happy to pay for a kid to play but very dissapointing staff not being considering and flexible.

By far the best Zoo I have ever been to. I have been to Zoo’s all around Australia and I have never had a Zoo or Wildlife Park be so personal and memorable. Me and my husband were here on our honeymoon and decided to do the BTS Lion Raw Experience which was absolutely INCREDIBLE and well worth the money! Would highly highly recommend, you will not get that up close & personal to Lion’s eating in any other zoo in Australia I can guarantee. 100%%%% recommend!!

  • Shane J

Went there for the zoo experience and it didn’t disappoint, worth every cent and a must do, we did the full experience it was the extra cost , with out this experience I wouldn’t of thought much of the zoo but this has left a ever lasting impression and the hands on experience gave a good insight into the keepers and the animals and there individual personalities,

We were so lucky we decided to visit at the last minute. We booked to have personal experiences with one exotic and four native animals, petting and feeding monkeys, Tasmanian devils, quolls, a python and cockatoo. We also fed the lions and were able to get up close and personal with zebras (including a foal), emu and camels! What an amazing experience and such a highlight for the kids. The guides/zoo keepers were absolutely incredible

  • Maricar Will

WORTH IT! White Kangaroo is the highlight of my visit. I enjoyed my visit here! I have seen most of the animal in the mainland but this is my very first time seeing white kangaroo so it was worth it. I went all the way to Bruny Island just hoping to see one but I was really happy to get a good pat with white Kangaroo and get to feed the lion and emu!also good touch with Tasmanian Devil, Zebra and Camel ! Bret did really amazing jobs!

  • Alice underground

A great place to visit with children. It was very quiet (probably influenced by weather) and we got to see all the animals multiple times without interruption. We loved the lions-who got up and roared for us, and the zebras, meerkats and marmosets. Did an animal encounter with the meerkats-what a cool experience!

Visited today. Unfortunately we felt the Zoo was slightly run down. The enclosures appeared not in good condition, empty with a abundance of weeds. Some animals were isolated with no companions which was sad such as the wombat, koala and echidna. I felt it was a bit expensive considering the condition of the park. Was better a few years ago.

Really disappointed at the range of exotic animals. Have seen the native animals at every other park in Tasmania, went to zoo Doo as we wrongly assumed it was more of a Zoo than wildlife park but we were wrong. The best part was the kids playground. Tasmania zoo in Launceston was definitely better value for money.

Took our Granddaughter in the hopes that you could still go on the bus ride through the ostriches and camels. We were disappointed to find that they don't do that anymore. I found it to be a bit pricey for what was on offer. In saying that, we still enjoyed ourselves and are glad that we went.

Small but beautifully maintained zoo. So many opportunities to get up close with the animals. The animal encounters were all incredible and the Lions Raw is a must for all big cat lovers. Our guides Jake and Mikey were both brilliant. Look out for Shelly the duck, biggest character in the zoo.

The setting of the zoo was out of the suburbs. There was quite a lot of conservation information. The variety of animals for the size of the zoo was quite adequate. Being able to feed macropods (kangaroos) and farm animals was delightful.

Visiting with interstate visitors including 17 year old. It was OK. Not a large range of animals who were not much interested in food purchased for them. Facilities a bit tired, displays poorly labeled. Perhaps better value for $37 + $3 for the food spent at Bonorong.

Amazing place. Although it's not a full fledged Zoo with many animals but it's more like a patting Zoo. You get the chance to hand feed Lions, Camels, Emu, Ostrich, Ponies, Donkey, Alpaca, Goat, Ram, Kangaroo and deers. You get to see live animal/reptile/bird meet show, specially Tasmanian Devils. The staff and walking Safari guides are super helpful.

  • ameya sathe

Small but excellent zoo/ wildlife park. The lions were majestic and the barn animals are very friendly. A really good place to be if you have smaller kids for whom a full scale zoo might just be too much. It was perfect for our 2 year old as it was the perfect size for us to cover in one trip. The lion feeding was truly amazing.

  • brophy182182

This is such a great Zoo. Like all Zoo’s should be, the number 1 priority is the animals being healthy and happy. The Zoo Keepers at this Zoo love and care for the animals greatly. We went on a whim and loved every minute, highly recommended

Zoodoo Zoo is the best Zoo I've visited in my life. The encounter with meerkats was an AMAZING experience I've had. There are also others awesome animals, feeding presentations and friendly staff. Therefore, I do recommend Zoodoo Zoo to everyone because it made my day. Thank you!! 5 out of 5

Zoodoo zoo one of best zoo in Tasmania We have spent almost close to 2 hrs but in general we can spend almost 4 hrs easily, if want to feed anything to animal need to get advise from zoodoo zoo team members ‍⬛

Great staff and great animal displays. No cruelty and staff are clearly passionate and knowledgeable. Hands on feeding and walking in the same pen with (rare albino) kangaroos, wallabies and deers is lit. Make sure you arrive by lunch to get all the free extra tours and shows involving staff.

Feeding and touching the animals were the best experiences here. Just to mind you that feeding the animals may cause them to fight each other for the food. So pet them first before you feed them.

Absolutely awesome zoo! It is kind of "small" but cozy and full of surprises. I have never fed a lioness and never touched a zebra before. Lot's of good memories. Animals look good. Large play area for children. I highly recommend it to visit (even if you don't have kids)!

Visited the zoo with my family during our vacation to Tasy. In comparison to other Zoo places in Australia, this one could do with having more animals on site esp exotic animals. None the less, the kids enjoyed feeding the kangaroos, sheep and goats.
