I moved to Albuquerque in 2020 after suffering intense trauma that hospitalized me for six months in another state. When I got to Albuquerque, I was getting healthy again but needed a trainer. I wanted to build up my strength, but due to the trauma I suffered, I kept running into walls due to my injuries and limitations. I found Anytime Fitness on Coal ave and Tamara, the gym manager and physical trainer. I can't believe my good fortune in finding this gym, and mostly Tamara. As of January 2024, I will have been training with Tamara for two years at this gym, and the results for my body have been amazing. There have been times I couldn't do a specific exercise due to my injuries and how my body was put back together (I had double digit surgeries) but Tamara's expertise always found a different exercise we could do as whatever issue I had healed. By having Tamara as a trainer, even when I was struggling with pain in one area, we were able to work others. I say this only because I am grateful; I look amazing! I am the strongest and most fit I've been in over 15 years. I have muscles where I did;t think I ever would again, and having a stromng body has paid dividends helping me have a strong mind. The gym is clean, the regulars there are friendly, and I could not be happier. I plan to keep training with Tamara, and- bonus- I travel sometimes for work, and I have been able to use my membership to workout in Anytime Fitness locations in other states. If you live in Albuquerque and want a nice, clean gym with friendly people, this is the place! **Note- I see some bad reviews here, and I don't know what these people are talking about. I've been here two years and look forward to going. I'm there 3 or 4 times a week, and it is a pleasure seeing the other regulars who also enjoy going all the time.

PLEASE READ THE OTHER BAD REVIEWS. THIS IS CLEARLY NOT A ONE-OFF! I tried to sign up online and it said I had to make an appointment to meet a member of the staff which I did. I showed up to the appointment, no one is here, no one is answering the phone inside even though it says that they are staffed until 1 PM today. There is a separate phone number on the door that you can call for membership issues or emergencies, I've called it 5 times and texted it and have received no response. I moved a lot of things around today to be here at this time And I cannot tell you how angry I am that I've been blown off. I hope anyone considering signing up with this place reads this review. There is no way that this place is run well. absolutely no possible way. Yesterday I tried sending an email to this store specifically and the email bounced back as rejected. This place is poorly run. Extremely unprofessional. I highly suggest you stay away. Can you imagine if there was an emergency here and this is the way it was handled? I guess you might get lucky and be able to sign up and they actually follow through with what they're supposed to do but I can assure you that businesses like this will let you down at some point. It is for this exact reason that I am not going to make anymore effort whatsoever to try to get a membership here. I've had experiences like this at places and like I said, with no doubt, they will let you down and piss you off for one reason or another. Take your money somewhere else and do not support this kind of business ownership in this community, there are so many other well run businesses in Albuquerque, do not support this type.

This gym Is super close to my house. It is extremely convenient. I usually go Iearly in the morning. Sometimes, I find individuals not wearing their masks properly. I occasionally call the owner to report this. Iam not trying to be difficult but I am a registered nurse. I do not work directly with COVID 19 patients but some of my closest friends do. We have been overwhelmed with this virus. So imagine my surprise and horror when. I saw the owner walking around without a,mask when he greeted people the day after Christmas! People like him ruin chances of getting back to somewhat normal again! I called other 24 HR Fitness facilities in the area just to check. For one, they separate their equipment so it is 6ft apart. NOT THIS GYM! You can still work out right next to another person. If you want to forget that COVID19 even exists and act like the "good old days," by all means, visit this gym and thank the owner for his outright disrespect for any public health concern!

It's ok, if you just need a place to do a quick workout then it's for you. Only 4 treadmills, had to wait to get on one after lifting. Small gym, so there's is basically only one of everything except the free weights. There are showers but one had a broken shower head. It's a gender neutral bathroom w a shower I believe 2 in facility. Only one person on staff. Small turf area to stretch. There is a punching bag. Facility is clean and there is a spray bottle and paper towels to clean machines after use. Machines are in good condition. A little to hot inside for me but that's a personal preference. There was a musty smell to the gym but that's normal for a small hot area w sweaty patrons. It was not for me but still clean gym area w good working equipment. If you just need to lift and get a lil cardio and no extras needed it's for you.

I give this gym a 5 star rating for cleanliness, functionality, and friendliness! I am a traveler from Michigan and I have visited many Anytime Fitness locations around the country. This Albuquerque location is hands down in my top 5 favorite locations I’ve had the pleasure to visit... Manager Jeff provided a warm welcome upon my first arrival to the gym and has been very helpful with knowledge about the equipment during my workouts... There are two private unisex restroom/shower rooms and one unisex private bathroom that have been thoroughly clean since the day I arrived two weeks ago. I couldn’t ask for a better gym experience... Oh and the water bottle fill station is very handy for quick refills during my workout. Thanks Jeff!

This gym is following all of the state's mandates concerning the Covid pandemic. Throughout the gym are postings requiring members to properly wearing masks and to notify the owners of anyone not doing so. There is plenty of sanitizer throughout the gym to wipe equipment and hands as well. Members should take some responsibility and keep a 6 foot distance from other members when working out. The owner is consistently wearing a mask especially when interacting in the workout area. This is a great gym to start the New Year in a healthy way. Sign up now !!!

️☑️Generally Maintained at regular intervals, nothing is ever broken or malfunctioning when I visit. Leading by example and cleaning equipment after you use it is just the respectful thing to do, which I see most people doing. Nothing is dirty to the point of preventing comfort. On site staff offer training and amenities (protein/bottled water/etc.) for a small fee, and there’s free filtered water near the 4 restrooms with showers. Open 24 hours and accessible only with a key fob, so my wife and I feel safe after hours.

Been liking this location lately. Doesn't seem to be overcrowded, but today left a bad taste in my mouth. Questioning whether I'll be coming back. A gentleman waited at the door to try to get a membership for close to 15 minutes, had someone on the phone from the gym and was met by a very aggressive female "helper". She treated him as if he were a criminal, harsh tone and nearly shouting "what do you want!". If I were him I would've turned and went elsewhere. Super unpleasant and unprofessional.

I am so happy to have this gym in the neighborhood. Yes it is small, but Tamara the manager makes up for it in a major way. She keeps everything clean and tidy, will answer your questions in a heartbeat, is welcoming to all, and genuinely interested in helping you reach your fitness goals. She has really forged a community feel here and knows most people on a first name basis. Instead of feeling intimidated when I workout, I feel comfortable and safe and that to me is priceless. Thank you!

Jeff was my personal trainer. He listened to me, motivated me, and pushed me. He is professional and I enjoyed his presence. When I didn't know how to do a certain workout, he demonstrated it. He also showed me how to use the machines. Jeff is awesome and I got a great workout every time! His attitude motivated me to push myself way above my limits!! The facility is always clean too!

Went to this gym last week traveling through, it’s was so gross. It was dusty and the floors were repulsing. Doesn’t seem like they clean it even though they had a sign up that says they clean things. It was so disgusting I ended up just showering and getting ready in my car. Also, the hot water didn’t work after i let it run for 15mins so had to take a shower with cold water .

I visit Anytime fitness centers all over the U.S. and this one is probably one of the filthier ones I’ve seen to. The machines need some cleaning. Restrooms are clean. Just the machines need some up cleaning. You can see the dirt and dust building in most of them. Went to a different anytime fitness after visiting this one.

Looking for a new gym and found this Gem! The owner is wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel welcome for the moment we stepped inside. The gym is spotless and we'll maintained unlike the planet fitness I was a member of. I can't recommend enough! I looked at other gyms in the area and they did not compare.

I love this gym! The environment is fantastic—clean, welcoming, and motivating. Tamara, the manager, is exceptional. Her friendliness, attentiveness, and motivational spirit make every visit enjoyable. She's always ready to help and explains things with such kindness. Highly recommend!

Coal location: The smell and humidity slaps you in the face when you walk in. It’s repulsing. Very poor air ventilation. All of the other anytime fitness locations in Albuquerque are amazing. I gave the same review a year ago. No changes. Cleanliness is questionable throughout.

I went today and this was my first time at this location. I found a parking space right away. Nice gym. I rode the upright bike and the stepper. I like the quality of the equipment. Nobody bothered me and I did a brief but great workout! I'll go again.

Recently found this gym. BEST YET! Facilities are just what I need. Purchased the personal training package with my membership and it’s been AMAZING. Trainers are very knowledgeable and give me a great workout. Definitely recommend this place!

My key failed today, I called the owner and he arrived with in minutes on a Saturday. Reset my key and made sure everything was good to go. I appreciate having this kind of service always clean, everyone's always wearing a mask. Thanks again!

I used to love coming to this gym because of the location convenience, but now I prefer to go to another location because the facility is so musty and the building has very poor ventilation. Recently has become very overcrowded as well.

I recently joined Anytime Fitness on Coal Ave in Albuquerque. I was so impressed with The owner. He was so accommodating and attentive. The gym is clean and well kept. It also has great equipment. I highly recommend this gym.

Best place to workout during the pandemic hand sanitizer in five different locations cleaning stations in every corner and then some, bathrooms are always spotless and the owner is always wearing a mask!

Nice gym, everything you will need for a great workout. Three squatracks and rower for after. Gym and restroom are always clean and well kept. Jeff the owner is very knowledgeable a really sharp dude.

I travel all over the country for work. I've been an Anytime member for over a decade, because there's almost always one close by, no matter where I'm at. This one is definitely in my top 10.

No nonsense 24/7 gym. Fob entry. It's got everything you need for machines, free weights, and cardio. Friendly, clean, and not crowded. I like it a lot.

This location is awesome. Joe is super friendly. The place is clean, the equipment is new, and the treadmills are great! Clean environment!

It's ok if you have a job and work odd hours I really like it except if you lose your key it's 28 dollars to replace
