If I could give a ZERO I would!!! We drove 1 hour to begin a great anniversary day celebration starting at what we thought would be a great little French restaurant. It was a cold and rainy day, once we were seated we could feel the cold draft from the door… I politely asked if we could move to a table that had just cleared. No problem said NATHAN (apparently a part owner as he said). We ordered a quiche and Benny, after 30 minutes of waiting for our food and seeing other people come in after us and ordered and received their meals with some even finished and left. We inquired about our order… 10 minutes later at 40+ since ordering, NATHAN brings our food and I asked, NATHAN is this typical to wait this long for food? Well guess what NATHAN answered me? “ we’ll you’ve been grumpy since you came in… we tried to please you with all your requests” WHAT REQUESTS?? All I asked was to move tables… oh I’m sorry NATHAN for disturbing your peace. And the best part … some girl from the table beside us turns and says “oh I work as a server at another restaurant and sometimes it’s busy” oh WOW thank you girl at other table for the advise and opinion that no one asked for! Thank you NATHAN and thank you BONJOUR BRIOCHE for ruining what was to be a great morning by being unnecessarily RUDE and having ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. Here’s what Grumpy does… good news travels but bad news travels even faster! I’ll make sure to let as many know of your TERRIBLE and RUDE attitude. To top it off we just returned from Paris last month… not even in Paris were they as RUDE as NATHAN. If NATHAN really is a partner in the business, he couldn’t have more than 1% into it. For the sake of your business just buy him out! You don’t need this type of TOXIC attitude representing you. All he had to do was apologize for the delay. What he chose to do is say I’m grumpy (which I wasn’t) so that means delay my food? NATHAN YOUR A SPECIAL ONE.
The service was awful. The waiter was condescending and every time I would ask a question he would reply in a tone (why are you even asking a this question). He specifically told me the smoke salmon with egg comes with bread and salad. I asked for no bread because of my gluten intolerance. He comes out with the egg and smoke salmon and no salad. I asked him if it comes with salad and he said no, but if you want a side order of salad then you can... Again in a condescending tone (why are you even asking me). My friend heard him state that it comes with salad and bread... So either he's giving false info or trying to get me to order another side to go with it... Is this all because I cannot have bread (who knows)? The lady (owner?) who came to our table almost took my plate away while there was still food on it. She has such a snooty attitude about her. Once we were ready to have our plates taken away she tried to rush us out and slammed the bill down without us even asking for it. After we paid, my friend went to the washroom as I was still waiting for her at the table she kept coming to see if we had left yet to she can clean up. Honestly, I have had better customer service at McDonald's. This place made me so uncomfortable to be in and left me questioning myself (was i crazy for asking simple questions about my order). Would I ever come back here? Definitely no. Was the food good? Mediocre at best.
This review is based on a situation, Thursday, November 3rd. It was a nice day, and we were looking for a good spot for brunch/lunch with a friend from overseas. The patio was quite full and the waiter said a table was finishing up, and it'll take about 10 minutes. Well, we waited for longer. Now I am aware the waiter has no control over of a table leaving sooner or not. What I am expecting is some communication. Whenever we asked him how much longer (20 minutes at this point) we were rudely dismissed. Now, there is a long queue for take-out. We had errands to do and decided to order take out instead. Not wanting to wait in line all over again, we KINDLY asked the waiter if we can order food through him for take-out. He rudely told us to go to the take-out counter. I reminded him we had been waiting over 30 minutes and did not want to wait in line again. He took our order but was quite rude and condescending. My summer ritual is Bonjour Brioche take-out, and sit at the park with my dogs while I have my croissant/sandwich and coffee. I love their croissants and spicy bacon sandwich! I think Bonjour Brioche may be best enjoyed as a take-out spot based on our experience trying to get a table.
Wow. So as soon as you get through the waiting line (worth it btw), you are greeted with a smash of warm air scented with freshly baked bread, and fresh ground coffee. The server was incredibly friendly and patient. We ordered a tea and pomegranate mimosa for our drinks. We both ordered the eggs Benedict on smoked salmon on a fresh baked croissant, and an extra croissant on the side. The flavor that hits you is indescribable, it is salty, sweet, creamy, eggy, fluffy, buttery... All in one bite. Then we ordered a lemon twist and a lemon tart for dessert. If you love lemon, and can't get enough of it, the tart is for you. It's SOOOO tart, I mean it is called a tart so they have that down pat. It is served with raw whipped cream, but the tart is sweet enough to compliment the raw cream. The lemon twice was great! Less lemon, great for those who like a touch of lemon, instead of being assaulted by lemon flavor like in the tart. 9.5/10 recommend and would 100% return. The wait is well worth it.
I went here with my boyfriend's recommendation while we were in the area looking for a place to eat. I've also read reviews while I was waiting outside and read people with terrible customer service. My experience was opposite! The staff are young and friendly. Everyone was very efficient. The food was great quality for the price. We were so pleased with everything. The eggs benny was amazing with the croissant and the extra baguette that comes with it is so fresh. My brekkie sandwich was amazing - fluffy eggs with a great taste of siracha aioli to complement with the ingredients and eggs too. The juices are all freshly squeezed too! You can order take out for the pastries and drinks - we ended up getting more croissants and a fresh baguette for home. Parking is the typical routine when you travel downtown - either street parking or P parking. Will definitely be back here!
Extremely busy on the weekends, questionable seating but overall, solid brunch options. The service here was pretty great, with a super friendly host giving updates regarding wait times frequently. I came as a party of 3 on a Sunday and had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. We ordered the vegetarian quiche, feta and tomato tart, smoked salmon benny, and sweet crepes. We absolutely LOVED the crepe, so delicious and light! The quiche was flavourless and the tomato feta tart was really salty and grainy. Smoked salmon benny was solid though. The main issue was with being seated in front of this humongous heater in the outdoor patio. We were boiling and had to remind our waiter a few times to reduce it. Just something to note if you’re being informed about your seating options — avoid the heater if you can.
Bonjour Brioche (which literally translates to “hello danish”, is one of the best places to have brunch in Toronto. The food is nothing short of delicious. The interior is warm and welcoming. The only downside are the crowded seating area; you’ll most likely be sitting close enough to the people sitting at the table next to you to hear their conversations. If you’re wanting to go to Bonjour Brioche, you’ll also want to arrive early (10 am) to try to avoid waiting in a line, which sometimes stretches outside. Another big downside is that they only accept cash. In a 21st century digital economy where methods of payment continue to multiply, you would at least expect the convenience of paying with a debit or credit card.
I've visited this place a few times and I must say, their pastries are quite enjoyable. Their brioche, in particular, is amazing. During my last visit, I ordered the Baked French toast and while it was different from what I expected, it tasted quite good. I would describe it more as a bread pudding. The flavor and consistency were pleasing. On a previous visit, I had the Smoked Salmon with Scrambled Eggs. The eggs were perfectly cooked (believe it or not, scrambled eggs can be an art). However, the dish could have used something to cut through the heaviness of the fat. Nonetheless, the flavors were still great. I was fortunate not to have to wait too long in line, but I'm aware that it can get quite packed.
The food is exceptionally mediocre. Why do people wait to eat here? However, this but one star review is for the truly garbage service. It took us 15 minutes to be seated while the restaurant was empty. Then, the server repeatedly screws up describing menu items and specials. We have to correct her, otherwise she was going to overcharge us. Then after bringing our drinks, the waitress forgets to bring mixing spoons forcing us to get up and find spoons. Then when the food comes, our server is again no where to be found. Since we have no cutlery to eat with, we had to get up again and scout the restaurant for clean forks. Never ever going back!
Love, love and loved this place. This one is completing 22 years now. An absolute French bakery. We went to the downtown location. It’s small, with full of positive vibes and laughter around. I and my husband totally enjoyed having it here. We order two expresso, egg salad with greens on the side, chicken sandwich. And while we were having all of these, I was already drooling over their French bakeries- we took away three different tarts, an absolutely gooy chocolate cake. I have been relishing over these since. And yes, do not forget to have the lightest and flakiest croissants. The staff is super attentive and always happy!
There was a long line outside. The waiter comes and asks out loud who is willing to sit inside. I’m the only one to raised a hand, and I don’t regret. Lovely smell of freshly baked pastry, the fans were more than enough for a 25C morning, the kitchen was a bit behind the orders, and it took them about 20 minutes to bring us the food, but it was delicious. We had eggs Benedict and smoked salmon, and a marvellous Fig, Caramelized Onion and Gorgonzola tart. The arugula salad was stupidly well balanced with balsamic vinegar and spices! Not too sweet, not too acid. Bonus point, they had decaf! Marva was our waiter, she is the best!
This is a boutique Bakery and breakfast place. So if you got fancy friends or want to impress your parents take them here. You can enjoy paying a little more then the average place and still feel good about yourself. The food is great. No doubt about it the menu is limited (No standard eggs bacon hashbrown combination) but they're always trying new things and there is always a different special on. The staff is very friendly but they can get overwhelmed at times. There is definitely a line up to get in especially on the weekends for brunch. Oh yeah there coffee is excellent when you pair it with a shot of Bailey's.
I used to come to this place a lot a long while back. It was so cute/ neighbourhoody/ vibey etc. Revisited last week and it was rather disappointing. The food was kinda bland, kinda basic, not very elevated. They still had the caviar on potato rosti, the croque madame, but somehow it just felt underwhelming. unlike the girl in the reviews below, I thought the waiter was trying his best to service everyone in the space, also it really was just him running the whole show. Kinda demanding, and post covid I understand if they're low staffed, it was more so the food that disappointed me. I’m
We each ordered eggs- I ordered smoked salmon. The eggs seem like liquid eggs. My breakfast came with a baguette but I'm gf so couldn't eat it. It also came with a very small rosti (shredded potato) under the bread. I asked if they could replace the bread with another rosti and they did. The second rosti was soggy and cold. They charged me for it. I'm sure their baking is good but I can't eat it. For breakfast, this place has small portions, really overrated food and not worth a wait in line. The greenwood down the street, Mawa's or lady marmalade are each much tastier/fresher.
What an absolute gem. A true stalwart of the queen east village. Very busy on weekends, but well worth it as the dishes are savory, sweet, complex , rich and so appealing. A delight not only to the tastebuds, but to the eyes as well. Parking can be an issue. The side streets are busy and if youit arrive before 10, ....you may get dinged with an over night parking ticket. Use queen street- if possible the green p # is 5522 on the north side between Broadview and Boulton. This was formally a cash only venue, but they now accept cards. Love Bonjour Brioche
Excellent food and service. Was at the park nearby, and decided to come here to eat improptu for Sunday brunch. Surprisingly, they seated us within 5 minutes, which is very rare to happen in Toronto for Sunday brunch. Waiting staff were very friendly and provided great service. Food arrived promptly after ordering. I had the eggs Benedict, which came on a croissant and tasted great. It also came with a salad, and a toasted half baguette, which were both fresh and great tasting. Overall outstanding experience, and would highly recommend.
Our favorite local spot that’s been around for many years. Retains its fantastic local neighborhood charm and the staff will get to know you after a few visits. All the pastries are great and the salad dressing is something I buy and bring home. Prices are also very reasonable. Whether you’re new to Leslieville or have been here for years, you haven’t experienced local Toronto east end until you’ve been to Bonjour Brioche. They also launched a Friday cocktails series called Bonsoir Brioche which is equally charming.
Imagine being excited to go for brunch at Bjr Brioche after a long time. You get there and it smells great. Love the ambiance. You wait quite a bit for your order. You take a first bite of the baguette which happens to be soggy and cold. Then the scrambled eggs arrive on soggy tasteless rösti. Tried the restaurant 10 yrs ago and never went back until now. Such unimpressive food for such a quaint place full of potential. Sad. I’ll try it again in another 10 years.

The food here is fantastic. They make their own bread for their sandwiches and ask their food is made fresh with quality ingredients, and made well. The only downfalls of this place is their seating is very limited, it is popular (and rightfully so) and when it's busy the food can take some time to arrive, but the servers are pleasant and very attentive while you wait, and this is a place you don't want to rush in and out of. They also have a take out window if you want your sandwich to go. Highly recommend.
A cute spot in the Queen street East neighbourhood. Waiting was approximately 20 minutes if you want to sit inside. We enjoyed the spicy bacon sandwich. The filling was a perfect mix of bacon, avocado, tomatoes and spices. However the showstopper was the baguette that was freshly made in house. We bought a baguette to take home with us to make our own sandwiches. Our server was hilarious and gave us goos tips of the specials and how to heat the baguette once we reach home. Keep it up Team Bonjour Brioche!
I’ve always heard amazing things about this place but I didn’t really understand the hype. I understand that they have fresh baked desserts but the tart we tried was only okay. Everything we tried was quite lackluster. There wasn’t a lot of flavour to the scrambled eggs. The Caesars were quite watered down. Our service was OK during the meal but when we tried to look for refills on drinks and pay our bill the server had vanished for over 35 minutes. I don’t know if I’ll wait in line or ever come back here
We went on a Sunday and there was a line up indicating that it is a very popular place. So prepare to stay outside in a line to be seated. We ordered fig tart and bonjour Benny with smoked salmon. They ran out of tomato and avocado and no one informed us that they ran out of croissants and it was replaced by a bun. It took a long time for us to get our order but considering that they just opened indoor dining after Covid restrictions are lifted, that’s more understandable. Food was really delicious!
If you're looking to do brunch on a sunday, I would recommend arriving before 10:00 a.m. the menu has changed quite a bit in the last few years for the better, and this time around we tried two of Savory Tarts and they were both good along with the side salad and baguette. We also had the blueberry custard brioche and almond croissant. Both were just okay as the Almond croissant did not have enough almond frangipan and the blueberry custard brioche could have used a bit more filling as well
My favourite brunch spot in the city. There’s a reason that there’s a line up for brunch every weekend! The place is a bit small and they have limited indoor dining but they only accept walk ins so you just have to be prepared to wait a bit. Their smoked salmon benny (only offered on weekends) and baked french toast are to die for! Their croissants are sooo yummy too, especially the cinnamon raisin one. Also the mango tangerine juice is so fresh every time. This place is a must try!
This place was incredible. It’s a staple of that neighborhood. The line out the door was indicative of how great the food is. I was impressed with the coffee as well. My wife and I will definitely be coming back.

Your friendly neighbourhood brunch spot. You’re pretty tightly packed together and you’re almost guaranteed to be waiting for a seat but you’ll forget about that when you’re enjoying your bonjour benny, the breakfast sandwich, or even the salad (which is surprisingly fantastic for a fringe character in your meal!) Don’t leave without treating yourself to a dessert. I can only speak to the pumpkin pie and flourless chocolate cake but both were fantastic.
Truth be told, this place deserves 5 stars for the food, environment and service. Where the rating falls short is solely due to the fact that dogs are allowed on the shrubbery/fence enclosed, covered patio. We could visibly see the dog hairs flying around in the sunlight, just to have to pick them off our food while trying to eat. We then also had to pick dog hair off our clothes after leaving. We are dog lovers but I do have to draw the line somewhere.
How anyone can give this place less than 5 stars is a mystery. French breakfast food the way they make it in France. Yes there will be a line at peak times - it's popular for good reason.. They just recently got a debit machine, no longer cash-only. Bread and pastries are excellent, quiche has a perfectly light and fluffy texture unlike the egg-brick normally found in North America. If you love Paris, you'll love BB, a Leslieville staple.
A TRUE 5 STARS! The food delicious, this I knew from the many times I’ve been. I had the omelette provençal and my daughter had the french toast! The french toast is made with fresh raisin bread (YUM!). What made this visit special is that my daughter couldn’t decide which juice she wanted so the server prepared a whole juice tasting for her!! So sweet!! She definitely felt like a princess. Definition of going above and beyond.
Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a cute brunch spot, or just craving some excellent baked goods. I had the salmon eggs Benny and it was to die for. Service was impeccable, never did I get a chance to run out of water or coffee, felt welcomed and appreciated since the minute I walked in. Will be returning again 100% some of the best baked goods I’ve ever had.

Have pre-ordered desserts from here multiple times for family occasions. My favourite so far has been the clafoutis which was so delicious I'm still thinking about it 6mo later. I also usually pick up some tarts or baked goods for myself when I go - so far my favourite is the tomato feta. Service at the window is friendly even though in spite of the inevitably long line. Go early before the brunch rush to avoid it!
I don’t want to share this place because the lines are honestly long enough at this point but alas the hype is well deserved, and every single person I’ve ever met here has been lovely. Weekend brunches here are absolutely worth the wait, the smoked salmon eggs Benedict is a forever favourite, and even the side salads (which I usually hate) are delicious. Love love love this place, and will gladly queue up for it.
Meh - is the best descriptor I could offer. Ordered a croque madame... first, it was the size of a tea cup with no gruyere and no bechamel! Dry and tasteless. It cannot be a croque madame without this. Butter tart tasted like it had lemon in it, with a soggy crust. Food is not that great; not sure why the long lines. The only thing I've ever liked from here is the croissants and brioches. Won't eat here again.
Taking pictures of the food before it has been eaten is a beautiful art. However, what if you start giving recognition to the places that blow your expectations? And all that's left is an empty plate and a big smile. If you want to see what food looks like, come and try. To simplify, this place is fantastic Great customer service! They gave us the cutest blankets and we didn't talk while we ate. That's big ...
Food was mediocre. The butter croissant was like store bought, I could not evet get butter smell. The omelette was definitely not french style as it’s claimed on the menu. The crepe was uncooked. There is nothing special with this please. Also they brought me a glass with lip marks on it and when I mentioned this waitress did not even bother to apologize, but she gave me a weird look instead.
We've been here a few times as it is right next to the park where our daughter plays soccer on weekends. Usually has a line up, but tends to move quickly. Their weekend brunch is very good, with lots of selection. Our personal favourites are the Eggs Benedict, Crepe and Roast Beef Sandwich. The coffee is quite good too, especially the latte bowl; lots of coffee for a good price.
This small and cozy authentic French breakfast spot is a staple in the Leslieville neighbourhood. There is usually a wait for a table but it is totally worth it! Be sure to try the goat cheese and tomato basil tart, served with a simple salad and fresh baguette with butter. And save room for a delectable, buttery, flakey croissant! Or better yet take a dozen home with you.
Dropped by for their bake good for the first time. I fortunately was able to pick up their tarts. Ethan was really kind and was super accommodating. This is one of my favourite tart so far in Toronto. It was super well made and has a nice balance between sweet and acidic. Every bite has the taste of buttery flavour. I’m going to be coming back for their other bake goods.
What a delight! The food is exceptionally good, staff are friendly, coffee is fantastic, and the pastries are out of this world! The line is long to get in here for brunch but it's worth it. Be prepared to pay with cash as they do not accept credit/debit cards, there is an ATM in the basement if you forget. This is a small gem on Queen street that should not be missed.
The service is always very friendly and attentive, the food is also good. The coffee is decent too. Sometimes the food doesn't come very quickly. I've never been inside but the outside seating is cozy and heated when cold. The patio is dog friendly as long as the other customers are comfortable with your dog (so far everyone loved having dogs around, in my experience)
Outstanding there is a reason why this place is always busy. The food is fantastic. Their Eggs Benedict is so yummy! The hollandaise sauce tastes like it’s made with real butter and not coming out of a package. The coffee and lattes and pastries are also really good! Usually good reviews are an HR campaign not for this place what you read about it is true.
One of the best breakfast scenes in Toronto! A must check in for everyone!

Baked French Toast with Fresh Fruit, Smoked Salmon & Scrambled Eggs with Chives Rosti Potato Creamed Horseradish & Caviar
Love this spot for brunch! The food is fresh and delicious and all meals are served with a side of their house-baked baguette and green salad. If you go after 1pm on the weekends, the wait is much shorter but they may start running out of their chocolate and almond croissants. They only take cash so make sure you stop at the bank ahead of time!
I ordered the eggs with a hard yolk, the soft yolk came, they said they couldn't do the way I asked... every time they took off our things... they bring the bill without I asking and before I finished the food! The person who seemed to be the manager or one of the owners, always frowning and unsympathetic! The food is not worth the bad service.
This place is a gem!! Delicious food and pastries, cozy atmosphere, friendly service! Definitely will be back!

Delicious food, very affordable as far as brunch goes. I loved my latte bowl! It was huge and fun to drink. My meal came with an exceptional salad - and I bought the salad dressing afterwards. It was a basil vinaigrette. We will definitely be back. I recommend going on a weekday if you can, as weekends often have line ups outside.
I went here while my dog was getting groomed nearby. I had to pick my dog up earlier than expected and they were very understanding and held my food back until I was back with my dog. They then treated him to a snack and some water while I enjoyed my breakfast on the street side patio. Great service. Very friendly. Amazing food!
Not sure how this is possible but Bonjour brioche is actually better since the new ownership. It’s always been so, so good - and now - service is friendlier, croissants even more amazing. The flourless chocolate cake is more spectacular than we remember. Congrats team!

Great little place. I’d recommend to get here early or not long after it has opened. Everything is fresh and the coffee was really good. I had a basic breakfast and it was super speedy. Be warned it is cash only but there is an ATM in the basement so that is not a problem at all. Overall I will be back and recommend.
Always busy French brunch spot in Riverside. If you want to avoid the crowds, go early! They bake their bread and pastries fresh every morning and it shows. Delicious and light food (unusual for French food of course) and the ambience of the restaurant is truly reminiscent of a little French boulangerie.
Cute, cozy and always fresh! A classic brunch spot in the East end that has been going strong for over two decades. We’ve been going for years and it’s always such a pleasure. Breakfast options are creative and flavourful and the baked goods are so good. Definitely try their flourless chocolate cake!
First time here and was happy with the service. Our server was very nice, in fact. We tried the eggs Benedict, which was very good, and the baked French toast, which I found a little rich, but tasty. We also bought some pastries to go. The dining area is small but they have a heated outdoor patio.
One of the best brunches in the city. I always try and go with the specials here as I completely trust everything they do! I also got the Sangria which delightfully came with a fruit salad on top - what dreams are made of. Highly recommend! Note: they don't take reservations or payment by card
Our favorite place for a weekend brunch so far. My wife and I loved this place since the first bite. We have to wait to be seated but it worth it, anyways is not a long time waiting. The service is great and the staff very kind! They always refill your coffee and the food is delicious!!
The scramble egg was perfectly done, soft and fluffy. It's a lot better than Lady Marmalade's scramble egg. The place is small but warm and cozy. It's not a good idea to bring baby stroller but the waiter was nice to find a spot for my stroller. I will definitely come back for brunch.
Fantastic little French bakery. Great croissants, tarts and brioche. The service is not the best, it's not terrible by any means but it's not one of those restaurants you go to specifically for service. So try to remember you're not there for good service, it's all about the pastries.
Last day before lockdown breakfast. The patio was well heated, the service friendly. The coffee and cappuccino were very good. We took two croissants (almond croissant and chocolate croissant), both were cold, undercooked and the chocolate filling looks undetectable. Will not return.
One of my favourite pastry spots in the city. The croissants are amazing but the lemon twists are insane - I can’t recommend it enough. I always think to take a picture but start eating as soon I get the product. Never had brunch here because of the long wait but hope to try it soon!
One of my favourite brunch spots in Toronto. Egg bennies are amazing and you must try the Baked French Toast. There’s always a lineup to get in. If you are a group of 3 or more, expect to wait longer. And remember it’s CASH ONLY. Did I say how awesome the Baked French Toast is!?!
Food is consistently good, quiche is fabulous. Salad dressing is to die for. Customer service, on the other hand, is completely lacking, as reflected in many of the reviews below. Don’t expect to be treated in a friendly manner, particularly by certain managerial/owner staff.
Great French bakery and restaurant. I usually have the croque madam but everyone else that I go with loves what they order as well. I have since branched out a couple times and tried the daily specials. The bacon sandwich was good but the breakfast sandwich was even better.
Delicious brunch that tends to become busy during the weekend, so get there early! Excellent selection of brioche and croissants. The scrambled eggs with smoked salmon was what I had for brunch and it was delicious (really can't go wrong with smoked salmon and eggs).
Wow wow wow! Safe to say that was the best croissants I've had in canada! Had a lemon twist, plain and pain au chocolate. They were all perfectly buttery and flakey and delicious my only complaint is that they aren't close enough for me to walk to everyday!!!!
The French Toast I ordered was delicious, but I didn’t finish it because one piece tasted like bacon and I don’t eat pork. Their coffee was great and the best part was that they refilled it. The tablecloth was dirty but maybe because it was really busy.
Indoor seating is quite cramped and looks like the jiggled things around to try to make it work. Ran out of some of the brioche pastries around lunch time unfortunately. Kitchen was also quite slow to get out some relatively common breakfast items.
A nice and cosy brunch place which also has an outdoor heated section. Service was top of the line and the Bennys (Benedict) are probably the best I’ve had. I had it with the smoked salmon and would definitely go have them again. Brilliant!
This is one of the best French bakery in town. I tried their baguette, tart, croissants, quiche... all of them were great quality. HOWEVER eat at their restaurant is not worth it as their service could be one of the worst in town.
I had the almond croissant and it was disappointing. I’ve had their regular butter croissant, it was ok. Not worth travelling to the east end for.

We spent a great time and had a wonderful brunch there. The staff there are just amazing. Bread could not get any better and also they offered us a passion fruit lemonade which was just so wonderful. We will go back there 100%
Been coming for years and I’ve never been disappointed the slightest. A cute, cozy cafe with all the brunch essentials. Where coffee comes in bowls and all the juices are freshly squeezed. The pastries to go are also 5/5.
Used to love this bakery, but they have become lousy. Size of almond croissant is smaller than my palm, and I have small hands. Also one of the don't even look like a croissant, completely unrolled. Not impressed anymore.
It was astonishing breakfast with good service. Definitely will recommend this place.

Love!! Just love for all the years of this wonderful European correction of the once bleak Toronto food scene and whose special place standard has remained steady over so many delicious years. May we have them forever!
I waited 25 minutes after I ordered to get this paltry piece of quiche. You charge the same amount for takeout as you do dine in and this is half of what you serve for dine in. This is insulting to your customers.
Loved the place for the authentic french Pastries and croissant! Best Chocolate Tart and flourless chocolate cake I had in Toronto. The taste was rich, dense and not over sweet. It's my go to for Sweet's craving.
Delicious breakfast and fresh breads. The eggs benny wasn't smothered in sauce, and the presentation is clean. The owners and servers are great, and the location is really pretty. Awesome spot. Great prices too!
Super yummy breakfast and delicious fresh Parisian pastries. They also have a cute outdoor patio and give you blankets to keep warm. Friendly and attentive service, but sometimes there is a wait.
Picked up brunch at their window service. Ate the tuna and veggie sandwiches. Very filling and delicious. Also loved that they serve the take-home alcoholic beverage with a reusable glass straw.
Such a wonderful place to have brunch. Great food and friendly service. Can highly recommend the Spicy Caesar and make sure to get dessert. Thanks Hannah for making our visit memorable! Cheers!
In case anyone still thinks BB is “cash only”, it is not! They take plastic. Rejoice! Also, the little bakery window is delightful and serves the whole menu. Food is excellent. Worth the wait.
Such an amazing place! the food was delicious, the service was fast and friendly, and I absolutely had to take a second dessert just because it was stupid delicious. Definite recommend!
Love their sweet French toast, tasting of Apple and cinnamon. The savory version was intriguing and satisfying too, with veg and peamea bacon in the batter. Even the coffee has depth.
My new favourite breakfast spot in Toronto. Food very good but has a wonderful charm. New owners used to work there and kept the warm character. Best French Toast in a long time!
Seated quickly food took a while to arrive. Ordered the toasted brioche with the egg, it was average. Blueberry brioche was okay. Okay overall but not as good as I expected.
One of the best breakfast places in Toronto offering a delicious French style breakfast. Be sure to arrive early especially on weekends because there is always a wait here.
Decent place for brunch.. I did like the salad vinaigrette a lot. overall pretty good and surprisingly filling (for me at least) even though portion looked small at first.
Wonderful food and staff. We enjoyed the quiche and eggs Benny. The grapefruit juice was so fresh. Picked up some croissants for my family and they really enjoyed them.
We lucked out and got a table as soon as they opened. The food was super tasty and the vibe was intimate and nice.

Great Cafe, good for breakfast and lunch or just coffee and a chocolate croissant. Service was friendly and very helpful. Great spot to try if you are in the area!!!!
Yummy as always, been coming here for about 25 years! Sour cherry tart was a bit sweaty today but still delicious! Staff atmosphere food . Keep it up. …
It was a good visit. I find the food ordinary, the croissant was mediocre. The coffee and the service was good to say the least. One time visit is enough I guess
It's a great place for brunch. The coffee is wonderful and the qrocke madame is the best we ever tried. The croissants have real Parisienne taste. Dine outside.
Down to earth, French Cafe vibe. My quiche was the lightest and fluffiest I've had. Prices were reasonable, given that it's 2023. Excellent, friendly service.
One of my favourite places to have breakfast. Something special about their home made jam that makes me want to keep ordering the baguette and butter and jam.
Enjoyed a delicious brunch outdoors— yummy eggs benedict with lox and their basil and goat cheese tart— everything so fresh. Service couldn’t have been nicer!
We had a lovely breakfast and our server was so kind and generous. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing experience with a small-town vibe.
I had a very delicious avocado toast. Staff are very polite and friendly. The patio is amazing, and the food is delicious. Very ideal for brunch.
Liked the chai latte but the food didnt really excite us. Breads for sandwich would have been better if warmed. Crepe special was nice and cheesy
