I have served as a Board Member of the Andrew Jackson Condominium, since 2016. The Andrew Jackson is a 214 unit building that is constructed as three, 7-story towers with a shared lobby and 300 linear feet of hallway connecting the 3 separate “wings” A, B, and C. These are important facts regarding this recommendation – I would not know this much about Gas and the building if the Board of Managers did not decide to partner with Budget plumbing. This will also give you an appreciation for the type of project Budget was able to complete in a professional and timely manner. These two adjectives, professional and timely, are of the utmost importance when you have a situation where your residents are left without cooking gas due to the “catch-22” of city requirements which I will not go into further opinion. The span of the building was our first design issue. The second issue was the number of apartment risers sharing a main gas overhead – 36 in total. Our building had 3 times the amount of work needed to complete a gas restoration project due to the amount of risers going through kitchens and the 300 foot overhead main gas pipe running through the lobby. A project of this magnitude requires professionals that not only focus on safety, but can be pleasant in their interactions with the community in which you live due to the daily interactions that inevitably occur. The employees working at Budget have been a team for a while and they understand the importance of being pleasant and understanding around upset tenants. Idriz, the principle of Budget, was with us every step of the way. He attended Board meetings and worked with management to suggest solutions throughout the process. I’ve come to learn in my role, dealing with a variety of vendors and contractors, that you get what you pay for – Gas and plumbing work are not to be taken lightly or compromised. Our building was lucky to have come across Idriz and the Budget team. Ever since our gas project, they have become our plumber of choice for any and all issues in our building and we couldn’t be happier.

This rave review is long over due. I called over 10 plumbing companies for an appointment and for some type of cost estimate. This company was the only one who called me back and within 1 hour too. I had a complex gas line/ConEd issue, and not only did they tell me the process step by step, they followed up with ConEd and me with every inspection and paperwork, but they also gave me fair pricing. The other companies that I contacted gave me ridiculously over priced cost estimates. At the time I had twin babies and they worked around my schedule, they came exactly at their scheduled time, and were up front and honest about their prices. There were absolutely no hidden fees. I have referred them to everyone I know who needs a plumbing and heating services. This is one of the rare companies that values their customer and treats them fairly.

Stop looking around and just go with these guys. Went with them to switch over from electric to gas water heaters/ovens. Punctual, professional. Idriz was extremely knowledgeable, gave us options that other plumbers did not even bring up. In addition to this, their prices are better than the other plumbing companies we looked at. Mike, one of their plumbers, is the MVP, super friendly and was happy to answer any of my silly questions while he was working at my house. I appreciated how they made sure to be respectful of my family's privacy as much as they could as they walked through and worked on things. Very happy with the service. Definitely go with these guys.

My gas meters were shut down by Con Edison so I needed to hire a DOB certified Plumber to conduct pressure tests. I found Budget Plumbing searching on google. My first interaction was very pleasant thanks to Frank, who gave me some orientation on how to proceed to get my gas turned on. He spoke to his Supervisor Idriz who responded personally to perform the test requested by Con Ed. Idriz was very professional and knowledgeable about his profession. The guy is Aces I guarantee. He was always on time and made process go smoother than it would normally go. I was very happy with the service provided. I will definitely refer Budget Plumbing to anyone.

Budget Plumbing & Heating are very professional, highly technically knowledgeable, courteous customer service and they clean up after working Yet unlike other companies that I've called in for assessments, they didn't charge me an arm and a leg to review my cooking gas leakage and restored it in the shortest time possible having close ties with DoB and ConEd who acknowledge them as one of the highly rated plumbing and heating companies in NYC I'm very satisfied with their service and I highly recommend them for plumbing and heating installations and repairs as they work together with your budget to solve your issues

Made appointment about a week before for a set date and time window. On the day in question I called to confirm but was told that my name is on their record but they will call me back to let me know when the plumber will be on their way. I got a call 1 hour before the end of the time window informing me that they would not be able to do my job and that they have no future date and time available as to when they can do the job. As such, if you value your time then stay away from this company as they don’t know the meaning of keeping appointments and being on time. If I could have posted negative stars then I would.

These guys are a lifesaver. Was finishing up a small renovation when Con Edison shut off the gas. These guys at Budget Plumbing came out super quick, scoped out the work, gave me a proposal overnight and got to work within a week. Permits were pulled, Con Ed had a half dozen guys checking out there work and they all said they love seeing Budget Plumbings work. I kid you not, they told me it was the one plumber they knew whose work was always solid without flaws. Gas got turned on 3 months ago but are still willing to answer a few questions here and there whenever something arises. Top notch fellas.

Mr. Frank Budget gave me a very affordable price for an installation of an inlet valve before and after a water meter as a requirement for a meter upgrade by DEP. He just asked pictures of the meter needed the work and the ticket from the inspector, did the math and gave me a quote..... everything done through text messages.....easy and quick. His expertise and sincerity can be sensed in just a brief exchange of messages. To Jaimie and his young apprentice (so sorry, I forgot to ask your name) thank you very much for doing a great job. I highly recommend their service.

Budget installed a bathroom sink for $400. But they screwed up the installation by not leveling the sink, as I warned them of the un-level floor before installing the sink.. Now the sink is on a slant and bolted into the wall so it cannot be leveled. I would not use them again and suggest you don't. If they can screw up such a simple installation just think what they will do with something more complicated. Extremely incompetent and unprofessional workmanship.

These folks are top notch. Very helpful and very accessible, always answered the phone. Had the gas turned off at my property due to a leak and they helped throughout the entire process. Everyone was very professional and engaged from the owner to the team that performed the work to the folks in the office. The issue was resolved very expediently especially given the complexity of the process involved. I highly recommend this company!!! Thank you

People answering the phone were friendly. Someone came to look at the issue the very next day and said they would put together a quote. Every time I called to get the quote they kindly said I would get the quote the following day. 10 days passed and I moved on. Big waste of my time. Just say you don’t want the job. We needed our heat back on and budget plumbing and heating delayed the process.

Very difficult repair. Emergency rate was better than some regular rates in the area. Speedy. Will only charge to diagnose the problem before moving forward with hourly rate. Very nice. Within minutes of speaking to Frank I had two repairmen here - Brian and Jamie were professional and walked me through their repair!

I called Idriz last night because we had a leaky boiler drain. He came within 30 minutes, assessed the situation and then came back this morning @ 9 am with all the materials and had our boiler back up and running within another 30 minutes. these guys are fast and get the job done. Affordable as well!
