I want to write a truly honest review of my experience. I purchased the vehicle directly from Canadian Auto Sales not through a leasing company. My experience with test driving was great and the guys where accommodating and did not pressure me, car was clean and well detailed. I signed to pickup the vehicle and it was sent in for safety and licencing(March 2020).I was told it would have its safety at one location and it turned out it was sent to another garage. 24 hours after having the vehicle I got a check engine light with 5 codes, this disabled my (4wd , traction control and stability). I tried to clear the code it hopes that it was a fluke but it returned multiple times. A few days later I also found out there was an issue with the driveshaft, the first rainy day the driveshaft would vibrate violently during acceleration with 4wd active. I also noticed that the heat shield was resting on the exhaust making noise also when moving a highway speeds. I managed to get a hold of Canadian auto Sales owner and he agreed to take the car to the garage that did the safety, I left a list of the 3 issues and left the car there for the week.I got the car back and sure enough the following morning the engine light is back on, nothing has been done to the driveshaft and the easiest fix the heat shield. I tried to contact Canadian auto sales but they are currently closed and that is understandable with whats going on during the pandemic , my driveshaft has failed on me and im forced to have it replaced on my dime. Toyota quote for the driveshaft and Evap canister that requires replacement to clear the check engine light was $2400(Parts Only). I managed to get some non oem for about half of this price. The Front Struts in this vehicle are also leaking and require replacement. needless to say 24 hours after purchasing a vehicle its not been a great experience and the vehicle has not met my expectations, im out a good amount of money because of the issues.I am not bitter about this because I know cars will always need maintenance its just the nature of owning a vehicle. its just disappointing and shocking to have to deal with so much within the first few weeks of owning a vehicle not to mention running around to source cheaper parts in a time where money is tight. If you buy from here have you own mechanic look at the vehicle, bring a code reader to check for pending codes, Take a long test drive.These issue might not have been anything they where aware of so just cover yourself. They are good guys to deal with but cars can have issues that they cant see so I do not blame them but some compensation would be nice for my troubles, we will see.

We made an appointment during the summer for a test drive, and came all the way there. They told us we could sit in the car but not test drive it because of Covid and it’s too much work for them to clean it (not sure why we could sit in the car, then?). Why did they not tell us that before we got there, when we explicitly called for a test drive? The sales person seemed confused to why we were there and said to us ‘While I’m sure it’s a lot of fun to go around the city, test driving cars, it’s a lot of work for us’. He also said ‘Why do you want to test drive? All cars are basically the same’- which are both pretty ludicrous statements. He also took a call from an angry customer in the middle of the meeting with us, and got in argument with them, without asking us if he could take the call. He told us he would allow us to test drive, but only if we convinced him we intended to buy that car, that day, and that we really wanted it. It all felt pretty insulting because we came all that way. I was left with feeling that our business didn’t mean much to them. And we were serious. Had we driven the car and it seemed to be in good condition, we would have bought it. Instead, we bought another car two days later from another dealership (which we test drove, with an appointment) I understand it’s a pandemic, but communicating your policies before taking appointments would prevent you from wasting ours and your time. Also, making assumptions about your customers intentions and asking them to convince you they are desperate to buy the car that day, seems pretty unreasonable. I really wish things would have gone differently, and I hope their communication has improved since then.

Avoid this place if at all possible! I was been trying to go look at one of their cars for almost 3 weeks. I've been getting the run around constantly about how the car is still in the garage, the file was removed from their desk etc. I've been told on numerous occasions that I will get a follow up call on a specific date to let me know what is going on and when I can go in. I have given the benefit of the doubt given the bad weather we had experienced as this was one of the excuses as to why the car is not back at the lot. I have done multiple follow up calls myself days after a call was expected. During those calls they had no clue who I was and I had to explain myself over and over. Yes, their cars are priced competitively, but their customer service is sub par! Edit after company response: I'm STILL waiting on a call back for some sort of information as to what's going on. Clearly this company "cares" about their customers. They do not follow up, they do not follow through on call back dates - they are disorganized and the perception is that they have absolutely no clue what is going on with their business or the cars on their lot. I am not heartless - I have given the benefit of the doubt in regards to the shop where the car apparently is. I got the same story, the same run around for over a month from Canadian Auto Sales which started well before any bad weather hit. ZERO of the communication has been initiated by this company, I have had to follow up myself. Good customer service is some sort of communication - even if you have no news but just to touch base and let me know that there is no news.

Car's are a good competitive price, however service is not great. I bought my car and the car's oil wasn't even changed before it was given to me. The break pads and what not were rusted, due to sitting in the lot, and they were also not done before they gave it to me. They didn't do anything for my but take the money for the car. I would make sure that you get it in writing that the stuff that should be done and you want done, will be done. Car's are in good condition, but I would advise you to make sure the work is done and is reflective of the asking price. In response to the reply: Putting any information about finances on a google review it not acceptable at any time. Not to mention that the details are incorrect. You should understand that I had my vehicle checked by multiple mechanics. Instead of writing a rude comment back with improper spelling, as a business, you should look at this an an opportunity for growth or to see where something went wrong. I recieved no call from anyone.

I have dealt with a lot car salesmen and dealeships for quite sometime but never got to have a great experience as i did with Chris and Brian of Canadian Auto Sales. I got a great car. Clean and in great condition as they advertised it on their website. The documentation was more than I have had for 3 latest cars I bought. Every service, detail including the Carfax print was handed to me so I would make a informed decision since there was a lot of money at play. They did not try to sell me a car and forget about. Chris and Brian have called me after I got the car more than once to see if everything was OK, if I was happy with the car and if there was anything that they could help with. I hope the car I got is going to last for a long time, but in the future if I need a car for myself and my extented family I know where to look for, Canadian Auto Sales. I talk with Chris at the beginning. We agreed with coming up with $500 as a down payment on a 2010 Ford Ranger. I started with the application for financing. The in house financing (Carfii) asked for paystubs n they said that wasn't enough to prove i was employed. They asked for more proof so I sent my employee contract etc etc . That wasn't enough so from the vice president of the company I gave a letter of employment on company letterhead. After I jumped over many hoops and bent over backwards the financing company phoned me 4 days later saying I was approved but when I show to pick up this 2010 truck they now want $5500.00 dollars. Are they kidding. My advice would be to stay far away from Canadian auto sale. Far away! They are con artists. And to top it off they they tried this bait n switch on my birthday. Wow

Hi to all perspective customers of Canadian auto sales. I had an unexpected pleasant experience at this used car lot. In the past I have stayed away from these smaller lots as they have been disappointing. But with this lot it was great, the sales staff was polite, informative, and quite easy to answer any question that I had. They did not linger or stand over you and let me browse the lot at my own speed. The vehicle I chose was then brought up to the office and all aspects were shown to me. We negotiated a price that was fair and fianancing was secured and 3days later I picked up my vehicle at the agreed upon time and left. A few days later I had a small issue about the radio and they fixed right a way. Thanks a lot to they staff and I will be telling my friends.

Did not seem interested in selling me a car. I sent an email inquiry on Kijiji. No response. A few days later, I called in the morning. They said they were too busy that day, so told me to come for an appointment at 10am the next day. I went, and without even getting up from his chair, he handed me the key to go look at the car. The 15cm of snow from the day before had not been cleaned off, so I had to do that. I liked the car very much and wanted to buy it. Basically, they blew me off saying they were very busy. So, I just left. He never even got up from his chair. The car had been listed on Kijiji for 42 days. Doesn't seem like they sell cars, or that they are interested in selling cars. FWIW, I bought a new car today from another dealer.

Hands down the worst service I have received ever. The man was INCREDIBLY rude. I had two cars I wanted to test drive, he said that I needed an appointment. It was a Thursday afternoon and there was no one else on the lot - he could have made an appointment on the spot. I questioned him about this policy (which is not on their website and would have been nice to know before driving across town), then he proceeds to ask what happens if I get in an accident while test driving (why because I'm a woman driver?) - never in my 40 plus years on this earth has a dealer ever said that to me. He said unless I was a serious buyer (which I was) no test drives. I'm not sure how you can run a business with this attitude towards potential customers.

We were looking for a work truck for several weeks and had a hard time finding something we wanted. We walked in and Chris immidiately mades us feel like our search was over it only took him 2 days to finds us 4 different options. From those options he had us rolling within 5 days it was a great experience. He was very honest and straight forward about their quality of what I was buying. If your ever looking for a car or specially a good truck walk in and ask for Chris he sits in the front so it's not hard to miss. They are really fun people and patient in their process they made sure I got exactly what I wanted sunroof and all. If your ever in their tell Chris exactly what you want and don't be shy he has a great sense of humor !!!!

I bought a Nissan Micra through this dealership. Being that this is my first car purchase, I was understandably nervous. The salesman was great in calming my nerves, answering all my questions, and informing me on things I did not know to ask. Despite what the used car market is like right now (crazy high prices), I received a very fair deal for the car. Everything was painless from start to finish. Financing, licensing, certification, etc... was all taken care of for me. I was well informed every step through the process. They were even accommodating with how we communicated because their working hours directly overlap mine except on weekends. It was less than a week and I was in my car driving away!

Have been trying to speak with Chris and Brian about reselling our truck that we bought from them last year, for 2 weeks. We keep getting told they are busy and they will call back or put on hold for 30+ minutes without anyone picking up and not returning voice mails. Full blown dismissing us. Very disappointed in the lack of customer service we are receiving this year after buying 2 vehicles from them last year. A simple “not interested” would have been respected on our end, but this dismissal and poor service was really surprising and disappointing.

These guys really go above and beyond for their customers. I changed my mind over cars and financing multiple times and they were very patient and on the ball to get me back on the road quickly. I never had to worry about calling them back over anything, they were following up faster than expected. They had the car ready to go, saftied in Quebec 2 hours after i signed the papers and a minor repair already fixed. Really an outstanding experience with these guy!. 10/10 recomend on service and their prices simply wont be beat.

Excellent Service from Canadian auto Sales. We Bought our first car (Honda Civic) from this place and I'm totally satisfied. Chris is very professional and gives you the right information without pushing you. Excellent after sales service, i observed some noises coming from my tires few days after I bought the car, I contacted Brian and he fixed the problem very quickly. Really recommend Canadian Auto sales and will sure return for our second car !

I can't help but notice every negative review has a response from the owner alleging it's a fake review. While I could maybe see that being possible for one or 2 reviews, I highly doubt every single negative review is fake. More than likely the business would rather lash out at those with negative experiences than address whatever issues may have caused those experiences in the first place. Just some food for thought. :)

We bought a truck from these guys via the internet and had it shipped out. It was totally trashed and uninsurable until i spent the initial price of the vehicle again repairing it. I sent them an email explaining it was not the truck they had described and i wanted to talk to them about it and they ghosted me. Very unprofessional. But what can i do 5000k away during the pandemic. I would never buy from them again.

Don't recommend this place at all. Showed up on Saturday at noon. Said they were open till 1. Doors locked no one around. Called today to see if there was anytime later to see the cars as I work during the day. Guy tell me he won't stay stick around because he has to see his family at the end of the night. Like we all don't have families. Brutal service DO NOT RECOMMEND

My wife and I just bought a car there. The staff did not put any pressure on us and it was appreciate. I drove test a couple of differents cars there and found the one we liked. The car is in good condition (carproof, Ontario safety check, emission test and my garage did a check up on the car). The car is running great. At this point we are happy with this purchase.

When I tried to get more information regarding their warranties, deals, and options, the guy asked me to write an e-mail, which no one responded to. They have good cars in the inventory but no one will give you information or meet with you... disappointing

Similar experience as others. I made an appointment for a test drive back in the summer. When I showed up for the test drive (which I had called ahead about) the sales person had no idea who I was and made several rude comments about how they only give test drives to "serious" customers. I bought a car at another dealership instead.

Bad experience. He is a liar. He will do anything to steal your money. After you finish your in-house finance you will be surprised for 17000 $ added to the amount without known and after sign. Dont do any in-house finance with him. Dont be surprise if you find bunch of 5 stars here. They are all fake reviews.

Amazing place to buy a car . Got 2010 Toyota rav 4 from them in amazing shape . Not a spot of rust . They wouldn’t sell you a car they wouldn’t drive themselves!!! Few weeks after they called me and asked how the car has been and even found spares keys for my car to come pick up . Great guys go check them out

Great experience buying my first car here (2012 Honda Civic). The price was reasonable and it came with all the essential safety checks. Brian even called a couple weeks later to check in and see if there were any issues with the car (as I was driving it to London, Ontario a few days after my purchase)

Only 2 shops in the entire capital region that would support the company the warranty was through, and they were not good shops :S

Garbage company, that does zero to help you when you need it. Garbage customer service. Do not buy from here. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. Additionally, extra warranty is a waste, as it doesn't cover anything on a used vehicle. Save your money, and shop somewhere else.

Sometimes the manager knows about mechanics, sometimes not, so... Couldn't trust him. He told us from 15 years ago, all the Cars CAME with timing chain instead of belt, ha ha ha....
