*BUYER BEWARE* This past summer I bought a used car from this dealership. This consumer experience ultimately became an excellent case study in how NOT to treat customers. The reality is that many used car sellers are reputable and want your continued business, while others offer a “tailgate warranty” and simply cannot be trusted. While it is both, inconvenient and unfortunate, it can, as in my case, also present a monetarily expensive experience, should there be underlying (and hidden) mechanical issues. Soon after purchasing my car, there were several problems that have since accumulated: the SRS (air bags system) light turned on an hour after purchase; 1 day later a loud clicking sound snapped liked castanets from the engine and now, when accelerating, it roars with a growl that would challenge the exhaust pipes of a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Recently I almost had gotten into an accident on the highway during rush hour because one of the car tires that Amar sold me, was inadequate and thus completely tore apart almost causing me to swerve into nearby vehicles. I can accept that few used cars are ever perfect, however one would think that any reputable dealer would have done their best to minimize the items on the repairs list prior to selling, especially those required to legally pass a safety test. Mechanically, the vehicle must be ‘safetied’ in order to qualify for licensing. Before purchase, I expected the dealer to have it safetied to ensure nothing would be wrong with it. The dealer, Amar, whom I bought the car from, uses a mechanic down the road, who coincidentally happens to be his friend. Unbeknownst to me, the man at the garage, Bikky, manually switched the SRS warning light off prior to me previewing the car (he demonstrated this to me during one of my visits to his garage) and no attempt to investigate the underlining problem. The dealer sold the car to me stating that there were no problems with it – words from the mechanic. Long story short, they falsely safetied my car and I have continued to visit this mechanic so that he can continue to “fix” the car. Due to their incompetence, I have had to visit this mechanic over seven times for them to fix the SRS light. Clearly they are not very good mechanics, and are simply resorting to band-aid solutions, probably hoping I would tire and give up. The latest episode: after arriving at the garage ON TIME, Bikky was a half hour late for the scheduled appointment. He finally arrives and takes a look at the car for a solid three minutes and said that he could not help us because he does not know the cars code – gee I found the codes online. He told me that I needed to come back, yet again, another day for him to find a Honda specialist; keep in mind this was my seventh time to have him resolve this. Overall, I have thoroughly learned the “buyer beware’ lesson and the need for due diligence. In my opinion this company exhibits all that could be wrong with being in business. They don’t seem interested in repeat or referral business, otherwise they would be doing all they could to service their customer. Their high pressure sales tactics and acts of blatant subterfuge will have me carefully searching in the future for more reputable, customer-service-centric automobile companies. I highly recommend you do not purchase your vehicle at Central City Auto Sales on Merivale Rd and never take your car to A1 Auto Centre on Mcbride St. They cannot be trusted. If you do continue business with this dealership and garage DO NOT trust Amar, Fred, Bikky, and Alexandra.

2 years ago I bought my wife a Ford Fusion from this dealership, they went above and beyond to make everything perfect, even having a new bumber put on and painted. I was extremely please with every aspect of the transaction and the level of service Bruno and Neal had provided, so much so in fact that I'd referred friends to them and a couple who ended up buying vehicles from them. Fast forward 2 years and I was time for a change, my wife wanted something different, because of the service I had recieved on my first dealings with them I had no hesitation to go back to them..........huge mistake. After a bit of confusing about what this particular car was advertised as vs. what it actually was the salesman did try and make things right to a satisfactory level but prior to signing they were made aware of damages to the vehicle (cracked paint on the rear bumper and scuff marks in the paint) and I was told it would all be rectified and it would look better than it did on the day of our test drive, from my prior experience with them I had all the confidence in the world that this bumper would be repaired properly. I was wrong, instead of having it repaired properly they had their on site "detailer" try to hide the issues rather than repair them, the bumper and scuffs were painted with a rattle can, not prepped properly and no clear coat, the entire car is covered in sanding marks and looks dull and hazy and swirled, I expressed my discontent on the day of pick up and was told by the salesman that he would speak to the owner and get back to me the the next day, a couple days later and still no word from him so I contacted him only to get a run around about my trade in that they bought sight unseen. I have no doubt that this is being used against me to not fulfil what they agreed to, I contacted the one introduced to me as a manager and expressed my unhappiness........still no reply. I now have a 2018 model car which has paint that looks 30 years old. I now have to look into having the bumper replaced/repaired and to bring the car to a proper detailer for paint correction.......if there is enough clear coat left to work with. Steer clear of these guys, you'll only regret it.

Went here yesterday to buy a used car under $12k because the website had 10 listed. Arrive to be informed there is in fact no cars under 12k and closest they could do is a fully loaded ford edge for 14k. Fully loaded sounded too good to be true. It was. Car has over $31k repairs made to it in the last 4 years and the sales guy (Fred) told me "oh that could just be a fender bender." So we go out for a test drive on the road and there is a clear and present high pitched scraping noise coming from the back right tire and the sales rep has the audacity to tell me he hears nothing and I'm making it up. Also while on the drive, he tells me a giant sob story to add to make me feel pressured to helping him out. When we get back to the garage I wait inside while this small dog barks at me whole time. He comes back in and tells me that if I wanted to pay for the vehicle with 31k worth of damage I would have to pay his garage another $800 to get it safetied. This "perfect machine" sales pitch was the first time I've ever seen the scummy used cars sales man stereo type before. No faith or trust could have been established. Almost gave up on the whole day of car shopping after that. Luckily the next place was straight shooting and I was able to purchase a nice truck. Avoid this place.

Nothing went right. Eventually, I did get the vehicle but not until nearly three, if four, weeks until after it was promised and the inside was very, very dirty. I spent hours cleaning it. Not only that, but it wasn't delivered on a truck, no, it was driven here from Ottawa to Sudbury by two gentlemen, which put mileage on the Jeep. The sales person promised me that I'd have snow tires. No snow tires. Combine it with the fact that they never answer their phone, never return a phone call when you leave a message, and never answer a text unless they need you to answer a question... the post-sale experience is just terrible. Also, despite the paperwork saying one payment date they also feel the need to take payments weeks in advance. I wouldn't recommend. If you're stuck on a vehicle, don't call Canada Drives because they send you here. Just go to a local dealership and find something there. If not for the Jeep being great (after cleaning it!), the whole thing has just been a headache from the start. I'm at the point where (despite loving the Jeep), I just want to return it and go somewhere else.

I dealt with numerous car dealers as well as customer service people at different businesses. With this car dealer Angie and Shannon were outstanding. I would utterly surprised at their customer service experience. Hopefully I'd never have to buy another vehicle but if I had to I would return to this company for another vehicle. Between Angie and Shannon they went far beyond the means to go out of their way and get me the vehicle that I needed and I wanted. They were always in touch with me on what was happening what was going on and that is what customer service is all about. This is the second response to posting this on this website for their reviews. Five star review for these two members of this company is not enough. If I were to rate them out of a hundred it would be a hundred plus. I am extremely happy with my vehicle and my latest experience with these two sales people. The company should be proud of these two individuals for all the work that they put in to find me the vehicle and be proud of having these two employees.

We called the dealership at 9AM to book an appointment to go see a vehicle. Appointment was booked, everything was good. We show up to the dealer 20 minutes prior to the appointment. When we walk in all the sales people were on their phones. No one greats us, they kinda just all look at eachother as if “who’s going to take them”. We tell them we are there to meet so and so for an appointment and they all say “ya he went home” and their passing my service onto eachother as if I’m a big burden. Finally I sit down with a gentile man and tell him what we were coming in to see for the appointment which we mentioned on the phone for him to say “ya that’s sold”... very unfriendly, very unorganized, very unprofessional. Too bad we came there with cash because they would have had a for sure deal.

I had a positive experience purchasing my vehicle from Central City Auto Sales. I dealt with Mike with Canada Drives at this dealer. He was amazing. He worked really hard to make sure I got into my beautiful brand new 2019 Toyota RAV4, and also ensured I got the colour I wanted. Mike is exceptional with customer service and really goes out of his way to ensure his customers are satisfied. I absolutely love my RAV4, and would recommend working with Mike if searching for a vehicle becomes overwhelming because he really took all the legwork out of it for me! So, call Mike! He doesn't stop, is very responsive to texts and calls, and will even drive back to the office when he's not working to get things sorted! You won't regret dealing with him and CCAS.

I just finished paying off my debt and was looking for a second vehicle on top of needing to improve my credit rating. I filled out the application on Canada drives and was contacted the following afternoon by Sal. He asked me what I was looking for and was very thorough. He got me approved very fast and had no problems finding me exactly what I was looking for along with a little extra. He even found the exact same car with lower km’s than the first one and the tinted windows I wanted as well. Sal made the purchase of my vehicle fast and effortless. This was my fifth time purchasing in my lifetime and would highly recommend Sal over anyone else or any dealership.

Fred and Mike were extremely easy to deal with. I knew what I wanted and ended up finding what I wanted at their shop. They made sure everything was as painless as possible and really were excellent to deal with. I did not feel rushed, I did not feel pressured in anyway. The entire buying process was just a breeze. Their lot is tiny and their inventory is rather deep so you may have to wait a day for the car you would like to test drive to be delivered to the dealership, however they will make sure it is nice and clean and they will remain in contact with you with updates if you are waiting for a car to be delivered. I would highly recommend them for used cars.

I have so many good things to say about this place! Buying a car has never been so easy. I was on the market for a pre-owned car for the longest time; however, I had the worst luck. Until one day I applied online and I got a call from Ahmad. He asked a few simple questions to understand my situation and what I was looking for. He made the whole process so easy and without stress. He was able to get me the car I wanted while sticking to my budget! They delivered the car straight to my door, which is excellent because of the pandemic. I will definitely recommend Ahmad to all my friends and family! What an excellent service and team !!

I needed a car pretty quickly. I saw the ads on Facebook before which drew me to the site. Within minutes I was given details about how I can get a car as efficiently as possible. I got a great deal on a Mitsubishi RVR and within less than a week the car was in my possession. It was delivered all the way from Ottawa which amazes me to this day. The car itself is great. I'm still learning new things about it. It's very good on gas so far which is a good thing for I'm going to be driving it a lot. I hope it lasts a long time. Thanks again for your help and if I hear anyone looking for a new vehicle I'll refer them here.

I Absolutely recommend them. I got my first car from them , Mike helped me finance it and got approved from bank on a good deal. They are very patient and helpful. All the way from the owner to the sales man and the finance manager. I was being a difficult client with my needs and condition and they tend to all those issues. I did have an issue with the battery 3 days after I got the car , but to my surprise , they got it fixed and installed free of charge for me. I would definelty do business with them again and special thanks to Mike , in my case he was the sales man and the finance manager.

Not super impressed with this dealership. I called to inquire about a specific vehicle, the rep told me he would call me back with the answers to my questions. Great. About a half hour later, the "GM" calls me to say he has some good news and that he can offer me a great deal on the vehicle I was calling about. His offer ended up being 4 grand more then what was posted in their advertisement. To which he responds "oh. wow. let me call you right back." I never received a call back. I don't plan on doing business with these guys, way too disorganized. Sorry.

My mother recently dealt with Neil when she traded in her car for a newer 2015 car and after having many negative experiences with dealerships in the past, this one has been extremely positive. Neil is really friendly, helpful and most important of all, he's honest! There was nothing hidden from her, he was upfront about it all and every single problem she brought up to him, he got it fixed quickly and never had a bad attitude about it. I was by her side every time and I can honestly say that he made 2 new customers out of this and I highly recommend them.

I just had my 2015 Kia Sportage delivered and I couldn’t be any happier with the vehicle. I will not be recommending people to this place as I got sold a car, the mirror was broken the gas tank lid was broken, my back latch to open my trunk doesn't work, they put a lid on my windshield wash that wasn't the right lid for it! Also to add that my car has well over 150,000 KM on it and they are making me pay over 30,000 for the car! I'm a single mother and they totally ripped me off and took advantage! I've called them and they said they'd have someone call me back and it's been a few months with no returned call!!!!

The people at this used car dealership is amazing I got approved of a 2014 dodge dart. Andrew is one of the best finance managers that you will ever meet, he will fight for you to get the best deals of a used car. I 100 percent recommend this place for anybody who is looking for a used car. If you have bad credit do not worry they will help you like they helped me. Also they took their time to drive me to the bank and back to get my bank statements no other dealership has done that for me. Deserved 5 stars for sure.

Shayne was very courteous, very professional. I bought a Hyundai 2 years ago. Very good service. The only thing was that I had a hard time getting in and out of the car. I'm not young anymore. Lol. So Shayne called me and explained him the problem. So he recommended that I buy a Nissan Rogue 2020. They delivered the suv to my home that is far from Ottawa, same with the Hyundai. Bought a 2018 Dodge Ram from here. The truck broke down less than 2 months later. I was led to believe this truck was in good condition. My mechanic told me it’s never had an oil change and because of that the engine was long gone before I even purchased it. With it being my first truck I was exited to get it on the road, so needless to say I am quite upset. The whole engine needs to be replaced and it will cost upwards to $8000. Be careful buying here

Feb01,2021 Spoke to Fred this morning agreed to buy a vehicle for the listed price $9992.00 as per our telephone conversation. Fred said he would call back in 10 min with the invoice details, he never called so i called him.He told me he could not sell me the vehicle for $9992.00 as it was a mistake new price is $13992.00 take it or leave it... SCAM SCAM... EVERYONE BEWARE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALER THEY ARE NOT HONEST, FALSE ADVERTISING.

My mother and I had a truly awesome experience with Mike! He was super attentive and listened to what we wanted and provided us with many options! I can honestly say that the service I received from the staff at Central City Auto Sales was excellent .
