I was at this store on the 7th of December and my bill was $13 and change which i used my debit card and paid but now a few days later going through my bank transactions for something else i saw $16 and change from this store on the 7th not the 13 i thought i paid. I then have to call the store and give receipt info which they found but off course they cant find the debit part of the transaction. The manager said to come and I will get back the over charge but they should also be giving me back my ttc fears about $6.50 I now have to pay to go back there because it was there error which I really hope it was an error. In any case People please be aware of these stores trying to scam you especially in time like these, make sure you get all your receipts. It might just be a little amount but it adds up.

This is a good place to find a variety of west Indian foods but I'm disappointed that they have changed the lighting in the area where fresh fish is sold. The red fluorescent light is meant to mask the true quality of the fish because customers cannot see it properly. I bought 18.00 worth of what seemed like fresh fish but it was partially spoiled. As soon as I got him the bright lights in the kitchen revealed this. Change the lights, stop deceiving customers. Now I worry about all the other meats in that place. I'll be looking for another place to buy my meat.

Has a wide variety of fish, meat and spices. Has regular chain store items and items imported from the islands Everything looks clean. Customer service is friendly, everyone is always keeping busy the hair section kills me as i think its not needed esp. when shopping for food but for convenience i guess. Could have a wider variety of fruits but i assume its d/t seasonal purposes. Prices are great, thats the main thing lol. I will defs be coming here before making a stop to a chain grocery store from now on

Exclusive African, International and Caribbean grocery shop. Products of various types, climates and cultures are neatly laid out, well kept and neatly packaged with proper labeling. Prices are competitive, reasonable and value for money. Mask wearing, social distancing, and related protocols are enforced. Parking is available and where needed shoppers are assisted to get their products to their vehicles. Shopping is a breeze here. Give it a look to see for yourself.

Terrible terrible customer service. I called this morning to get a price per pound of oxtail, and was met by a very rude person. He told me that if I want the oxtail to just come in and buy it, and he was not going to tell me how much it was. His words were "You will see when you come in" then he hung the phone up on me. This is no way to run a business, and I have been a customer there for years. So disappointing, I will take my business elsewhere.

#DanforthMarket/ Keele street and St Regis in Toronto Canada. Where do i start?? For all things CARRIBEAN this is the place!! The Owner the employees the store!..... they make mega effort to source out things at best prices to keep them at cost for us (consumers) I'm not even kidding - you should go.... Even the vibes of the established is RIGHT...... I suppose - as they say the DNA of the owner flows through.......

This was the first time (and mostly likely the last time) I visited this place. First of all, this so called supermarket was dark, small, dirty & smelly. The two girls behind the cash kept speaking African language in front of us & laughing. One of them just grapped a banana then eat in front of us like she wasn't working. I grapped the 1 thing I needed then left within 3 minutes. Don't think I would be back!

  • Della Ellis

Had a bad experience @ danfort supermarket..bought fish bagged by their employee handed to me when I got home the Fish wasn't Inside the bag... Went back to the Store explained my problem to the Employee showed my receipt but my Fish wasn't Reimbursed I was told that I should of checked my bag before I leave I have been shopping @ this location for over 30 years I'm done with them ....

  • Patrick Saunders

At the meat counter you had a exceptionally rude youth wearing a backpack. Why would you have someone like that working there, that same day my items were marked up higher at the cash and they found someone to correct it. An older Indian woman with pure attitude. She also verbalized her rudeness. Get rid of your ignorant staff or give them better customer service training. What a place

  • Zené Lewis

Great experience all the time, whenever I do shop at this location. You can find varieties of items that you are familiar with, especially if you grew up in either the Caribbean or in Africa etc. I am always pleased with the service from the people who I encounter. Whether from the fish secrion, meat secrion, or at the cashier they are always friendly to interact with.

  • Cornelius Herelle

Offers a lot of what one can find in both the Caribbean and Africa. The produce are usually good. The fish look like they were caught that day. There's a evidence range of condiments, spices, canned items, and the toiletries many of us grew up with. The staff are knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. Renton tip the fish cleaning and meat staff - done cheap.

  • True Morgan

This store and all it's franchises deserve 0 STARS. My sister bought a Gizzarda here and tell me why it's maggot infested and I ate half of it before I found the maggot! The stores are not clean! They cater to the black community but the stuff they serve us is utter garbage or spoiled-- even expired! Please people DO NOT BUY from these stores!!!!!

  • Ann V

When you enter the place it first smells like rotten fish. Then as you move towards the meat counter, it smells like manure. It absolutely stinks! They have some nice imported stuff, but besides that, I wouldn't touch anything that has been prepared in that store. It literally smells like a barn with dead fish inside.

  • Solange Hall

My area doesn't have alot if Caribbean centric supermarkets so I have to go to this location to find what I need unfortunately. Not only are the customers rude but some of the staff as well. It looks damp and dingy, hardly any bright lights and the meat sometimes is questionable. Have patience going into this market.

  • phillip valentine

Could be alot better, the workers act like you owe them something. Bunch of idiots, if they don't want to work their find a new job. Beside's that still one of the best places to find carribean food. Kind of sad‼️ we need more and better services for our people, more black owned carribean/african stores PLEASE‼️

  • Paige Chambers

The cashiers in the morning are severely lacking in customer service skills. Cashiers will charge a higher price vs. shelf / sticker price so make sure to check your receipt even if the cashiers pick a fight with you, the customer. Decided to stop shopping there - they're bad for the soul.

  • Kamla Jaggernauth

I just called April 7th at 1:42p and asked about a product and the girl was a bit rude. She answered my question with " If we had it Mami I will say that" then I said thanks and she just hung up the phone before I did. Customer service is poor.... Otherwise you have products. North York

  • Rosie Walters

I picked up crackers, opened it two weeks after purchase and the taste made me take a second look at the expiry date. That's when I realised that they expired 6 months earlier.. Disgusting.. Only after discussing with other customers, I started hearing similar stories …

  • David Buchanan

I don't like going here. . Too many great fresh products and genuine staff. Just feels like Jamaica man. Big up the fish stall and the meat stall. If you want real ripe plantains and real cheese you got to be here. Yam, mango dutch pot. Oh lawd. Great place to shop …

  • D B

This food has changed so much over the years it's gone downhill. I went in for fish and stood there behind 2 other people while this person is playing music and asking Siri to call this and that person. It was ridiculous I got fed after half hour and went somewhere else

  • Rocka D

This store has fresh varieties of meat and other stuff! It's a clean store but the cashier's don't seem to be friendly and not much help but the prices are ok, they do have some good sales on sometimes... I would recommend going when sales are on..... …

  • Bharathi Mohan

The ambiance in the store is not desirable. It was dim in some areas. The range of goods and prices were not attractive. In fact some of the items, the Chinese and Carribbean foods, were more expensive than the competitors located along the stretch of Keele Street.

  • Fabulous Faith

They have decent prices and a good selection of Caribbean foods but I have had awful experiences with the men at the meat counter. Like being forced to pay in advance of them cutting the meat while other customers were not. Definitely felt like discrimination.

  • Patrick Williams

Used to be the go to place for real Jamaican/Caribbean food staple. But it has since been surpassed in range, variety and quality by other groceries. But on occasions this might be the one place you may find that rare authentic item you're looking for.

  • Rain Fox Fire

I can always go to Danforth for all my island needs. They usually have fresh product and good deals. Definitely worth the trip from Richmond hill. Store is always clean looking. Staff is straight to the point. Things are well organized.

  • Christella Duplessis

Great store with lots of the stuff we would be missing from our island home. It's like a home away from home kind of location. You walk in and walk out with just about all that you need - from meats to snacks and grocery items. …

  • Shanay Hamilton

The one on keele is more organized but there meat or spoiled the 2 Time I get it there becarefull how u pick up ur chicken legs from out the pan they not good it happened to me two times I dont want to buy meat from there

  • Kaye Peters

Meh, they cater to the Black, Caribbean and African community. The store always has a dingy, dirty and not so welcoming feel. It has all the staples, but can definitely use some paint, brighter lighting and happier staff.

  • MFUMU MBANZA

My favorite place to buy Caribbean groceries. Their prices are high sometimes, so I won't buy it, but customer service is great. You can always get a little extra help from Ricardo; tell him I sent you. …

  • Garfield Seaton

This place is great for Caribbean (mainly Jamaican food stuff) but it is SERIOUS NEED of an upgrade. Before entering, you are treated to the smell of old meat or a really bad smelling dumpster.

  • Henry Johnson

Grat place when you are from the Caribbean community and are looking for native food items like meats, oils fruits and vegetables and the services are not bad either. My wife loves this place.

  • Sophia Whyte Owen

  • Fatima S.

I really like this place very much. Always has what I need! But I'm always discouraged with shopping here because it smells like rotting fish and meat as soon as you enter this place.

  • TIFFANY

When to buy some fish and a few other things . The price was good on the fish the worker did an awesome job cleaning them and was very polite great customer service. …

  • Corey Simon

I usually go there during the day, less people wait isn't so bad but because of children being home from school the store was ridiculous the wait long for fish and to cash out.

  • Gerald Dougherty
