The counter intelligence doesn't know from its items too well. To find somebody who does is an arduous chore. This place used to be my go to Asian market in the mission. Seemingly now, it's over priced and its produce is less than stellar. Its frozen items are plentiful and the deli sandwiches are tasty and reasonably priced.

I love Duc Loi, they have everything you might want. The meat section is the cleanest in the area and pretty cheap, and the produce is pretty good quality. The store isn't organized very well and finding a reasonably priced option is often non-trivial, but it's awesome once you're used to the layout.

You can find ingredients here that would be pretty hard to find at Safeway or even at Bi-Rite. Lots of imported spices from SE Asia, that kind of thing. I didn't honestly think their meat dept looked very appealing, but they had the correct spices for Vietnamese beef stew so I was happy.

Almost daily shopper. As a vegan they offer alot of great selections in produce. There are some international items I do wish they carried and would be cool if this location also delivered like the 3rd Street location. Other than that it is a great place for locals to grab some food.

  • Lydia Chilton

High quality produce. Lots of variety. Especially good for meats and foods from a variety of cultures. There are some really good prices mixed in with higher prices for organic, Whole Foods-style products. I shop here twice a week and they have had everything I have ever needed.

I lived across the street back in 2001. This place was a very different place back then. It was good back then but now it's a little better. more modern and, well more up to code on inspections. I remember when the apartment wasn't above it before. Times sure have changed.

This market has a little bit of everything, including the biggest malted milk balls you’ve ever seen (double chocolate and chocolate peanut butter). Asian foods and snacks, Latin American items, organic and bulk foods, and so much more that I didn’t get a chance to see.

  • Daniel Rodriguez

One of the best Banh Mi Sandwiches I've ever had. Warm bread that's soft inside, crispy outside and loaded with meat. The pickled carrots have good flavor and crunch. I only wish there was also Daikon radish which is usually typical of Banh Mis.

Small Asian mart that carries different international items. Very organized and during pandemic they give you plastic gloves when you enter so your hands and their items are protected while browsing the aisles. I buy my salted eggs here and

  • Andrea Fang

It's a decent supermarket with a variety of products across several cooking needs (Mexican, Asian, "American"). I appreciate the opportunity to get that kind of variety in the area. They also try to stock at least one "organic" or "healthy"

  • JP G

Go here for Asian staples that you won't find anywhere in Mission or surrounding areas (ie, curry leaves, Thai chilis and herbs and many authentic Asian condiments). Produce is also generally good, but sometimes you'll hit the bottom of the

This is an interesting store. I'm always surprised by what I do and don't find here. I find this isn't a very good place to go if you have a list of groceries that you need to check off, but if you want to find some nice meat or some fresh

  • Jackie Truong

Love this market because it’s one of the only ones in this area that carries all of the Asian grocery items like sauces, noodles, spices, and lots of organic, natural, vegan / vegetarian products (mock meats and American brands like Beyond

Love this place - I cook a lot of Asian dishes and it's really the only place near the Mission that you can find a wide variety of mostly East and SE Asian ingredients. The next closest place would probably be Golden Natural up on Church.

One star for the always friendly staff. I had high hopes for the ownership’s change but for now I’ll go elsewhere for items that are no longer carried here. At times the music volume is too loud, especially the blaring station breaks/ads.

  • Jess Killips

This supermarket is stocked with fresh veggies, organic produce, and a variety of your Asian fundamentals - from Sriracha to Vietnamese fish sauce! Since I cook with pretty specific Asian sauces, there are a couple I know they don't sell

  • Timothy Hsu

Duc Loi is the best! You can actually find a lot of the same kinds of grocery items (e.g., organics) as you would in Bi-Rite or Gus's, but for much less, plus a great selection of Asian foods. And their banh mi are the best - now back to

  • Coy Tran

Best Vietnamese sandwiches in the city! Bread is warm and crunchy and it's stuffed with traditional tasty meats along with fresh pickled carrots and daikon. A bit pricey but it's worth it for me! And this is coming from a very picky Viet

at the door, I was forced to put on plastic gloves before entering the store and shopping. I asked was it a store policy. the woman mubled everybody needed to wear gloves. as the place was almost empty with only two other shoppers, the

These guys were well ahead with Covid - they were selling masks for $1 each and offering free gloves at the door. Beyond that, the produce is amazing here, and they often have a lot of more obscure ingredients for sale for our recipes.

  • Frisbee Girl

Amazing anything-you-can-want shop. It's like Uwajimaya and the best Mexican grocery got together in the Mission to make magic. I go here to find things I do not even know I need. The staff is super helpful and kind. The produce is

Fantastic local shop with a fairly good variety of ethnic foods. They are changing the interior and looks great. Fairly comparable to the bigger stores. Vegetarians will also find they have a huge variety of soybased products.

  • anthea pereira

This grocery store practically houses everything I need, no matter what cuisine I feel like. They have Indian/thai/Japanese/Mexican/Isaiah spices/oils/pastes and more. Reasonably priced. Friendly people at the counter.

  • Julian Munoz

This is a great place. There is everything needed here to make Asian foods. Spices, sauces, noodles, etc. Another HUGE plus is that they have parking below the building. It makes it super convenient if you're driving.

  • Sylvia Lewis

Checkout people are always so cheerful. Excellent place for asian groceries. They even have squid ink ramen, to give an idea of the range of items there. Stocked with everything from Thai to Chinese to Korean.

  • Laura Knight

I don't go here to buy produce (too expensive), but it's the only Asian market in the Mission so it's great for Asian ingredients. The fresh kimchi is really good, and banh mi is a great deal for only $5.

  • Karan Shukla

Great selection for groceries, especially for uncommon cultural foods (primarily East Asian but also some South Asian and Hispanic goods as well). Employees are very friendly and checkout is fast.

  • David Chung

Nice small local grocery open during Covid-19. One of the only places around SF to get Vietnamese herbs. Sadly couldn't try out the well-known banh mi shop inside since it was closed.

  • Douglas Garfinkel

Very safe, always masked and requires gloves. Good selection, reasonable prices, friendly staff. Excellent for Asian ingredients. Limited bread and inconsistent quality on produce.

  • Harto Wibowo

Probably the best affordable and good quality supermarket in the mission district. They have frozen prawns which are sold fresh daily and many other fresh veggies and meats.

  • Kayla Thomas

One of the few grocery stores near me but unfortunately 50-60% of the things on their shelves are expired. Saw a whole pack of moldy bagels in the bread area today.

  • Tree Thibodeaux

Nice people great food it's the last of its kind. A quality, Asian family owned full sized grocery store hiding in the mission. I'll have pics next visit.

  • Felden Krais

Its produce is overpriced but its Asian variety is stellar. One can order a scrummy sandwich in the deli. Once it had raw peanuts but no longer.

  • D R

I love Duc Loi. They were going to close but survived with new ownership. I'm so glad! Got what I needed for my shrimp coconut curry.

  • Jacob Varshavsky (Yasha)

Duc Lol is a great store with a great deli. The deli is my favorite part. They have a wide selection of Bahn Mi sandwiches

  • Josh Kennedy

Really cheap, high quality produce - expensive condiments/sauces, but overall my go-to spot for Asian groceries

  • Vivian Hoang

Best Vietnamese banh mi sandwiches in the Mission (and in SF, IMHO but that's for another review).

  • Adam Wong

New management; no bahn mi or Vietnamese coffee. they still have asian products in aisles.

  • M Silva

only the beer is cheap. everything else is more costly than any other local store.

  • H

Great selection especially Asian ingredients but veggies and meat are not fresh.
