I have been here on 3 occasions now spread over the last 2 years when my regular barber is out of town. The first time I went I had a pretty good experience the barber was super friendly the cut wasn't super but I was happy with it, the 2nd time a few months later I went again and the barber was nice but the cut wasn't great. After almost a year after the 2nd cut I went back again as my regular barber was out of town for an extended period and I received the worst haircut I have gotten in 10+ years. The barber asked me what I wanted and then proceeded to do the opposite and on top of that when I left my face ears and neck were full of hair. When I got home and looked in the mirror there were numerous hairs on the sides of my head that were not even cut which I had to clean up myself and the hair cut looks like I went to the school for barbers and got cut by someone on their first day of class. For the price point there are just so many better options, the people are nice but the cuts and quality of service are super low. Needless to say will not be going back here again when my barber is out of town.

The only place I've returned to several times to get my hair cut since I've been back in Ottawa. For a long time I went to one place in Halifax, and was having a hard time finding a place that could give that perfect mix of quality, consistency, affordability, and expediency. My hair is very fine and it really shows if the person who cut it wasn't proficient with my hair type. Junior is top notch and has always delivered, listens to what you say and in on what you're looking for with a great eye for detail, and a fast worker, too. The staff is very friendly and the place is not overrun with errant scents or attitudes, a real place for all ages that doesn't sacrifice quality. If you're done settling for underwhelming haircuts, I would highly recommend giving Hair Fellas a try.

Great experience at Hair Fellas Barbershop in Kanata! I brought my son in for a haircut and was impressed with the cleanliness of the shop, the friendliness of the staff, and the care that was taken working with my son and his sensory sensitivities. The whole experience was incredibly positive, the haircut looks great, and I would highly recommend.

Disappointing... better try some other hair saloon who are kind enough to accomodate your request.. Little bit late for your appointment and your appointment is given to someone who just walksin --better to just walkin and not take any appointment.. this is when you have called them beforehand that you might be late..totally unprofessional fellas.

Decent haircut but as others have stated they have no respect for your time. I booked a 12, which was the first appointment for this barber, and he was 20 mins late. How are you that late for your first appointment? It’s understandable to fall behind during the day but this is unacceptable for your first of the day.

Lack of skill and accountability. Barber: Sam. Pics:What the 15 yo old boy asked for vs what he got. Response from the barber: “Put some product in it.” Response from the manager: “The model has more textured hair.” Neither acknowledged that the cut was wildly incorrect, looked awful, and they still charged me $40.

I've been going to Hairfellas since they opened nearly a decade ago. The ability to book ahead of time and pick the barber you want made the task of getting a haircut very easy and relaxing. On top of that, all of their barbers are well trained and give excellent cuts. Highly recommend any Hairfellas location!

My 4 year old got his hair cut here with a gentleman named Douglas Cooper. The patience and dedication he had to do it perfectly and still keep him entertained despite the difficulties of cutting a 4 year old! Last cut of the day and still took the time to make sure it was top notch! Will be back for sure :)

Excellent place to have hair cut. Douglas was very professional and caring so much. Usually i was not happy with barbershops so i was always cutting my hair myself. Excellent, easy to book through the website and I was happy to have options even though I was booking for the next day. Sam was my barber and he was fantastic - so much attention to detail, super nice, and I could tell from his approach he is properly experienced. I will definitely come back.

Hair Fellas is a great barber shop. They have really friendly staff, and their prices are really reasonable. Their services are top-notch and their equipement is always sanitary and the space is always clean. Plus, I never have to wait more than the expected time. Definitely a five-star spot!

I have Been here a few times with my son and everyone there is good at their job. They Listen to what I want and do it well. My son has so many complicated cowlicks which make his haircut a challenge but they always knock it out of the park. This is our permanent place.
