Always good watching rugby at Kings Park. There is always a great atmosphere on game day. There are plenty of food stalls, bars and beer gardens within the stadium. There is ample parking close to the stadium but expect to pay if you want secure parking on the outer fields. The festivities on the field outside the stadium before and after the game is an experience. Braaing, drinking, live music and rugby on the big screen. Unfortunately you have to watch out for the drunk steriod junkies who prowl around after the game looking to fight. But otherwise it is usually a pleasant experience.
Hated it with a Capital H, I got sick with muscle cramps and pain for a week because the Stadium is too high with very high steps and a long walking circles, no shelters very bad for either a sunny day or rainy day. Stadium seats are very small and very uncomfortable, and railings are old. The stadium itself is very old, with some dangerous ceiling boards in the toilet. The stadium needs to be demolished as it seems like it was approved by learner engineers. It's pathetic. I will never ever step my foot there. I'm giving it a BIG MINUS!!
Great rugby stadium. Stands are set high so no matter how far up you are, you always feel close to the match. Beer is great, food not so much but one can't expect 5 star from stadium vendors. I don't recommend getting any hot dog. Eat before the match. Lavatories were clean but I visited on a not so busy evening. Ticket prices are good for Currie Cup or Super Rugby matches but they milk it at international games.
The security and staff were well organised and friendly during the Sharks vs French Bordeaux rugby match. There aren't a lot of food options and it's ridiculously overpriced, but the drinks weren't too expensive. The steps to the Silver area seats we're very steep and there is no legroom at all. People climb over you to get to their seats in the same row. Spend a bit extra and get Gold area seats if you can.
I got the pressure of coming here with our local rugby team to come and watch the our national team play. It was awesome, loved everything about the place. When it comes to food and drinks you are covered no need of going out for food, or coming with it, you will find it there, also the liquor drinkers there is no need to worry because they are covered. Its awesome for family as well.
The home of the Cell-C Sharks. Any visit to this stadium and a family fun-day and fan-filled affair. Furthermore, there’s plenty of security around the vicinity hence you always feel safe. Parking can be tricky therefore Uber might be your best bet. Also, when attending a popular game, book tickets as early as possible as the seats you want will sell out quickly.
Obviously home of the Sharks, so we love our time watching rugby but also incredible kid friendly areas, serving drinks, coffee and snacks. Water slides for the kids to play, AstroTurf area for them to kick a ball around. Fully enclosed so it's safe.really great addition for young families to come to the stadium and the kids to play while the adults watch/'play'
Still a great place to watch rugby. Some of the facilities are looking a little dated although seating and food and drink what were available was good. A little sad to see that so many seats in the stands are covered in advertising and not being utilised for supporters. I suppose a show of the times. All in though I had a great time supporting the Sharks.
Love going to the rugby. The only problem is parking. Everytine you go they change the parking arrangement. And in that traffic it is very frustrating. When you buy your ticket online there should be an option to buy your parking ticket at the same time. But otherwise it is good fun especially with the entertainment on the field after.
Watched the Sharks demolish their opponents at this world class stadium. The lines for food and drinks can often get a bit much, waited 25minutes just to get drinks and some fried chips. The entire experience was well worth it. Great outing for the entire family. There's stalls and entertainment after the rugby is over.
It was very nice to watch the sharks last home game for the currie Cup. Smallest crowd but they were trying to create an enjoyable atmosphere. The second second going was for the semi finals and that was very disappointing as there was absolutely no game plan. Surroundings were enjoyable as well …
Always a great experience! The security is tight, plenty different options for food and drinks inside the stadium, lots of on field entertainment before and at halftime, tickets are well priced and it's great for the whole family. Parking can be tough to find at times, but arriving early helps.
The old dame is starting to show her age when at capacity, but as the shark tank for domestic fixtures she's without equal. A great atmosphere and experience. The management has done a brilliant job adding xfactor in various forms around the grounds. The plumbing does need to be sorted though!
Fantastically frantic and aggressive southern hemisphere rugby, a must if you have only ever experienced the slow grind of rugby elsewhere. Stadium was gorgeous in the sun, stands are on a very steep angle providing full views of the pitch. Tickets only ZAR100 or £5 when we visited.
Great atmosphere. Wonderful to see the young, old and aged back at Kings Park. From all walks of life , rugby united us all to witness a gutsy Sharks' win. SA music's legends, Mango Groove made us all twist to their beats in soft falling rain. A sporty, musical evening to remember.
Oh wow i really enjoyed my time being here watching my favorite sport rugby and also there is a place for kiddies to enjoy themselves and my favorite part in the kids area is the slid because my child enjoyed it so much. Im definitely coming back!
What a fantastic night we had at Jonsson Kings Park. Took my whole family and friends and we loved the entertaining rugby. The rugby spectators were first class. Sharks won so that was a huge plus. Food was just right Burger and Banting chips.
Such an incredible place to go watch the rugby.. really enjoy the atmosphere and the crowd know how to have a good time. Awesome fields outside the stadium where families and friends have braai's before, during and after the game.
The stadium could use some care to be honest. The bathrooms and food stalls need work. I don't think they could also charge a single amount for all seating, until the stadium gets packed again. The turnouts have been poor.
Always a good atmosphere here! Staff are friendly and always ready to assist. There's a wide variety of food options to choose from. The stadium is very well taken care of, and is always kept neat and clean.
I do a bit of work at the stadium every now and then and I occasionally get distracted and stop working to watch the training session. But the stadium is always clean and well maintained.
Great atmosphere pre and post game. Win or lose for home team. Home of the Sharks Rugby team. One of the best a Stadium atmospheres I've ever been to. And I'm not even a Sharks supporter.
Lovely atmosphere. Had some inconveniences with the entrance and camp chairs being allowed/disallowed in certain areas but once we were in, we had ourselves a good time! Thanks …
Always a great atmosphere here. As soon as you walk into the stadium itself, you'll be greeted by a feeling of awe. Would recommend to watch a match here at least once in your life.
Wonderful, Great game today well played Sharks 45:5, amazing stadium every time I come to watch a match never dissapoint, buy food whilst you enjoy the game wonderful
A very huge sports ground to accommodate everyone who came for that particular function/convention. Lots of entertainment areas and a huge space for parking …
I have been going to the stadium every other weekend as the uMzinyathi Ministers RFC manager. I love the place. There are a lot of memories attached to the place.
First time I've gone since covid started. And it was a blast as always. You obviously have to have the mini donuts and potatoes spirals if it's your first time.
Always a joy watching a game at Kings Park. Word of advice, make sure you arrive 30min before the game so have have enough time to grab some food and drinks.
What a question ! The stadium was safe, food was available and cheap. The parking around the stadium was open and clean. Very professional Sharks home base !
We were at the box so the game was better than expected. Good security. Good turn out. Be careful when leaving the stadium though. Too many beggars around.
Wonderful to see so many children enjoying themselves at a rugby game! No rush to get out as everyone starts to have fun after the game! Lekker warm!!
It has adequate parking and wheelchair access via ramps. Bathrooms are clean and the stadium is accessed via boom gates. Visible security patrolling.
Come along this is amazing the parts are wonderful the grounds agreed even the caffeine and People's Park even the view is unexplainable
Stadium very old lifts required for elderly,Toilets need upgrading, very little shade unless you know some one with a hospitality box.
The chairs on the east side are too close you cant sit freely. The shelter is also small it rained we were wet.On sunny days no shadow
It was my first time to participate to this race, was marvellous,i won't miss it next year, well organised. Thanks for the goodie bag
Great atmosphere in and around the stadium. The staff are very friendly and helpful. 10/10 would recommend experience …
Soul Sessions Sunday is now playing at the Kingston restaurant and bar. Good spot, hopefully it will stay there for a while.
Great place. Beautiful atmosphere to watch a live game. Sharks vs the bulls. Weather was perfect. Parking convenient.
I enjoyed a lot being around here since it was my first time visiting Durban, the experience was really amazing....
Stadium was OK.. Not enough people, also had a fire on the stands, can only assume it is from poor maintenance
Poor security. Poor organising. Watching the test match there was very unpleasant. Won't be back in a hurry.
A breath of fresh air, very clean and accommodating to everyone. A bit far if you're not driving …
My rugby home, where I learnt to love the game. Such a pleasure to return, the atmosphere is always great.
I had a very bad experience there i'm hoping to never come back again this stadium is just wack!
Great atmosphere, not enough security control. Chaos if it's the first time you are visiting.
Always great atmosphere! The vodacom box was great, friendly staff and the view was amazing.
Lit event... The venue even has perfect lighting at night ... Nice Picnic gcwalisa event
It's was great to be back at the stadium, festive, and even better when your team wins.
The atmosphere is awesome, the staff are friendly, brilliant first time experience.
There's plenty of space to host events and activities. Ample space for parking.
Amazing atmosphere, lovely staff, food was amazing, rugby stadium just lovely.
Large area, easy to navigate, not to difficult to move around when necessary.
Awesome, went to the Shark Tank and got a bikini for an excellent price
We enjoyed our game experience on the home of the Sharks. Fear The Fin!
