"Thank you for today, I haven’t gone to the Maltese bake shop in years but I said to my mom let’s go, drove all the way from Hamilton and not disappointed, I’m so happy to be half Maltese ❤️, the most friendly people you will meet and generous and I love you all …"
Just got off the plane from Calgary AB. wanted to take my daughter to get authentic pastizzi. The pastizzi's were amazing. Just like my nunno used to make. I will be getting these shipped off to Alberta when I get back home. Prices are so cheap for the amount of time it takes to make these. Must try
Appalling customer service. I asked if they offered GF Pastizzi and their response was to laugh at me and then to unsult me. I have to avoid gluten for a medical condition and found the inconsiderate response to be insulting. When I pointed it out the response was worse. I would not recommend.
We just stopped by while waiting for someone. Small place but you can see chef baking pastries down stairs. Pastries are fresh and so nice. Pastizzi was so crispy and flaky. Stuffing was just enough. Price was excellent. Even though shop was empty when we went, it was well worth it.
I really only go here for one thing only. The pistizzis. They are excellent. The coffee could use some work and the decor is definitely outdated. With that said this place has a loyal following and would be hard pressed to change, and for the food's sake this is a good thing
Thank you for today, I haven’t gone to the Maltese bake shop in years but I said to my mom let’s go, drove all the way from Hamilton and not disappointed, I’m so happy to be half Maltese ❤️, the most friendly people you will meet and generous and I love you all …
Tasty products and great customer service. The Pastizzi is fantastic! Some grocery stores carry their products in the frozen section. There is a list on their Facebook page. I can't believe how easy they were to make and how delicious the result was. Thanks!
So delicious! The ricotta pastizzi are so yummy - the pastry is so light and flaky! This was my first visit. I'll definitely return to try everything else! Make sure to bring cash or expect to pay via etransfer. But it's worth the extra effort. :)
A lovely little bakery café in Little Malta (The Junction) with a variety of delicious goods baked fresh daily. The shop specializes in Malta's famous savoury pastry, pastizzi. Pastizzi is an awesome little treat that is made of wonderfully
Grazzi hafna for this shop!! An INCREDIBLE outpost of true Maltese baking in Toronto! We enjoyed the pastizzi (both ricotta and pizelli), trizzi, even Kinnie (a bitter orange soft drink) and Twistees (a Maltese version of Cheetos). I bought
I love this little bake shop! I wanted to get my Nuna something awesome for Christmas and was having a hard time coming up with something because the woman has everything. Then it hit me pastizzi! So I raced off the the Malta Bake Shop and
I was 8 years old when I started coming to this beautiful establishment my grandfather and father used to bring us here and we would sit and eat. The hosts were very kind and generous; My grandpa Vincent always said if you ever wanna go to
Great little café! It is real nice and different. There is a family atmosphere. Service was great and generous. We had a mix of sweet and savory. The coconut and jam cake was very good. The spatizzi are very good and cheap (1$ each). Just
We try visit for the pastizzi when we get back to the city. We get a mix and they are always delicious and so fresh. It's a small shop and it was packed. They really need to get a debit machine though. Most people never carry cash anymore.
I grew up coming to this place in the late 70's as a kid. Everytime I come to visit Toronto I make it a priority to visit and say hi to the owners. I try to always order a large batch of pastizzi to take back to British Columbia with me
I love this place. It's like a little piece of home (Malta). I just wish they had some kind of delivery service or there was someplace in the downtown core where I could buy frozen pastizzi. I've also noticed how over the years (I've
It's very outdated at the bakery with most of the decor, photos and press clippings from the 80s-90s but if you want some memories of Malta come here. It's the last bastion of what we generously call the Little Malta neighbourhood in
Came here on a whim while in the area today and was appalled by the horrible customer service at this establishment. My mother and I ordered a couple coffees and pastries to go. Not only was the woman at the front counter constantly
These places in the old junction have lost the true baking art of Malta’s delicious pastizzies These local bakeries and businesses have been bought by non ethnic Maltese who have difficulty reproducing the original receipts. Charlie
I always buy the frozen pastizzi from here. The cheese one is my absolute favorite. I highly recommend this place. The owners are sweet and great customer service. If your ever in the Junction area it's a must stop to this shop.
Been coming to this place since I was 3 and I'm now 29. Absolutely love this family and the food they make. The cheese pastizzis are the best. Cute little coffee shop at Runnymede and Dundas. Will always come back to this place.
This place is fantastic!!!! Have you tried Pastizzi? It's the national snack of Malta and you need it in your life, but Malta is far away so just come on over to Dundas St W and immerse yourself in this little slice of Malta.
My grandparents and mom used to travel here from another city just for their marvellous pastizzis. Wonderful family run business, and they even were kind enough to give us a glass of water. Lovely people, food, and decor ☺️✨
I am very disappointed with the pastizzis made by Malta bake shop I purchased from molisana bakery. They are not the flaky pastizzis I’m used to :( I baked them according to directions but the peas pastizzis are not flakey
The pastizi was delicious as usual, but they have stopped taking debit or credit. So that is a real pain in a retail shop. Your options are etransfer or cash - and they don’t have the etransfer set up for auto deposit.
Definitely one of the city's somewhat hidden gems, the date pastries (both the ring and the fried dough) are ridiculously good. I've been coming for years and they're still as good as the first time! - Mimi's Cake Tour
Has been around for a very long time. Maltese pastries very good and fresh. However they only take cash or etransfer. No debit machine for some reason. Don't understand the etransfer thing, debit would be better
Being 1/2 Maltese myself, this place is near and dear to my heart. The pastizzi is awesome! I recommend having one in store and buying some to bake at home. A great appetizer to share with friends and family.
Their cheese pastizzis is amazing. I would often bike 30 minutes just for a few of them. You can also buy them frozen and cook them at home. Too bad the best tasting things are often not the healthiest.
Absolutely delicious cheese pastry was offered generously by the owner after I bought a bag of round sesame kaak to have with my coffee. Definitely going back! This place is very authentic
My Maltese friend brought me here in the 80's!!! So glad it still exists. I live outside Toronto, but I drop in every 5 or 10 years when I am in the neighborhood. Love the pastizzis …
They don't take debit only cash or e-transfer. Pastizzi was small and greasy and not flakey. Used to be the best . The pea was not very tasty .To bad been going there since I was a child.
Absolutely LOVE their Pastizzi ❤❤ Since we are not able to get to Malta , this is the next best thing.. Their customer service is excellent. Love to enjoy tea and pastizzi on a Sunday
We just went and got pastizzi and they were horrible and the pastry was hard as if they have been repeated for days and that’s not good for the Maltese community. Will never go again
Cute little shop and very affordable frozen pastizzi . However they only take cash and e transfer. Which is really weird during a pandemic to not take credit card or debit ♀️
The cutest, loveliest, little Maltese bakery. The pastizzi are to die for! I especially like coming here during Christmas season when the whole place is decorated! Well done!! More
My favourite place in Ontario to get pastizzi. The service is always friendly and quick. They only accept cash! Lots of seating too. The owners speak Maltese which is lovely.
My favorite of all the Maltese bake shops. Not only are the pastizzi amazing and the Kinnie ice cold, but the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm back in Malta for the moment.
Have been coming here since a little girl. My family is Maltese and we always stop by after going to church or if we are in the area. Yummy goodness of Malta !
So many memories are tied to the aroma and taste of beloved food. I am filled with joy being able to have fresh warm patsitzzi from the Malta Bake shop.
I have been coming here since I was a child. The pastizzi has always been my favourite. I bought 2 dozen when I was last there. It was a nice treat. More
I buy a dozen frozen pastizzi every week. Take it home and cook them with air fryer. Just being honest. 10 times better than in house. More
You can always count on a tasty Maltese treat here. It is like a trip to another country. These people are authentic.
Friendly staff and everything we ordered was delicious, especially the qaq tal-ghasel and trizzi …
A staple for the Maltese community with homemade pastizzi. Fantastic service from the staff!
Fantastic authentic Maltese food and excellent service. Would highly recommend this place.
A decades-old gathering place for Maltese. Great pastizzi and other Maltese dishes!
Yummy food and bakery! So glad they didn't give in to the condo vultures. Malta❤❤❤
Always great food and friendly service. Lovely people.
