Absolutely heart broken with the committee member.(Mr.Iqbal)..no Akhlaaq of speech... unfortunately he succeeded to stop one مصلي from Salah... All because me bringing My daughter 2.5years which did not make any noises,any mess.. Not one مصلي had objection. I moved to thorncliff thinking this is DARUSSALAM MEANING " STATE OF ISLAM".... but that is a lie... the members of NOT EDUCATED ENOUGH WITH ISLAM AND AKHLAQ OF ISLAM... All they ask Muslims is to DONATE DONATE DONATE AND PLEASE DONATE.. Before juma Salah donate After Salah donate. my child never made a mess in mosque...but even if she would have done...wat do u need the donation for. U could cut the whole piece of carpet..rather than having a Muslim away from MASJID. If the Hadeeth asked Muslims to KEEP children away from masjid I accept it... But BACK IN THOSE TIMES ...IT WAS ISLAMIC STATE..Less fitnah in community .. children could stay home or on roads and still inspire ISLAM.. I bring child to LET HER inspire Islam which now u can assimlate ONLY from MASJID NOW I Have learnt.. DARUSSALAM means surrender ur WILL first to CANADIAN GOVERNMENT AND THEN TO MOSQUE COMMITTEE MEMBERS ... If left any then surrender to الله سبحانه وتعالى And yes DONATE ..DONATE.. الله اكبر However they have sold THE MASJID TO the government in return of wat.. more dollars ,big land, more construction contracts for Muslims , big train or circus ? Yes ,We need BIG TRAINS and no mosques. إنا لله و انا اليه راجعون more walking in cold for مصلي.. Thanks I never saw churches government bought for a train yard . Assalamualaikum to all my brothers & sisters, elders. Mashalllah allhumdulliah, this masjid staff, people, hafiz, Islamic teachers doing great work mashalllah. May Allah tala reward them for this great work, mashalllah, they also provide iftar during Ramadan-e-Kareem to more than 150-200 people every single day. Jazakh Allah to all who donated, all who worked, all who sends it , all who make it possible . My dear brothers who are commenting below or above for this ‘masjid’. No matter what masjid it is, its house of Allah, place of worship, place of reciting holy Quran. Please respect it & place don’t complain. Who got their stuff stolen, or who ever faced some rude people, Allah tala is there to take care of it. Allah tala will give you better stuff inshallah, Allah tala will reward you for keeping quite when someone gets rude towards you. Please try to understand it’s not masjid fault. Its people, so pray to Allah to give them hidayat. Thanks, may Allah tala guide us all (including me) Thank you.

The committee and the staff that operate this Masjid are very Xenophobic they favor Gujarati's 1st in the community. Other ethnicities in the community such as Pakistani-Urdu speaking, Punjabi, Afghani-Pashto, Afghani-Farsi, Arabic speakers, Eritreans and etc have no representation in the Masjid. There is a fear of allowing other Sunnis in the Masjid to participate and be part of the committee will potentially change the Hanafi fiqh of the Masjid, therefore the Gujrati's believe they are more pious then other ethnicities in the community and will never hire or allow any non Gujrati to participate. The Masjid should be renamed to the Gujrati Islamic society of Toronto. When will the comittee allow representation of other backgrounds. When will we see you hire someone who speaks, Farsi,Pashto? -When will the Gujrati supremacy in the neighborhood end you dont represent us but only create more fitnah. The committee is only Gujrati allowed.

Religious teaching service has now become only for giving money . However, there are recent incident when kids items are stolen but when we speak to the teacher they say it is not our job and buy the new book and when you contact the office they will say buy new product. I was always having great regard for there service but from last 2 instance they only care about money. My kids book is stolen again and the teacher said oh why your kid did not take care of it. If kids are that much bigger then i would have send them to learn from you. Teacher behaviours is so bad and ignorant which is not allowed in islam also. Just remember allah is seeing. When we send our kid at your place your responsbility is more for the belongings and child safety. Nowadays your new mantra is give money and dont expect for service. If your service will not approve then i will share with everyone.

Very pious imams, weekly durse quran/ hadees, path to piety and weekly youth program, Abdullah uncle Tajweed classes are great initiatives. Peaceful, neat & clean and inspirational. As there's always room of improvement, I personally aspire for: a) more initiatives & open door policy for community/ volunteers engagement b) Administration needs huge improvements c) Social services to be offered targetting youth and north american muslim needs like matrimonial, 1-1 counciling, ask a aalim program etc d) Local ulemas to be given more opportunity vs visitors from back home. May Allah S.W.T accept all the efforts of anyone who contributed towards establishing & sustaining this great masjid. Amen

I can't believe I'm reviewing a mosque but here it is. It almost holds a monopoly Inn the Thorncliffe Park Dr area. It's good for prayers, activities for kids (mostly academic), spacious...i mean REALLY spacious, great Ramadhan Iftaar program that'll ensure you gain a few pounds after Ramadhan. So why one less star? They need to find better Khateebs to give Khutba. Not just ppl who give lectures about virtues that have become so CLICHÉ but on relevant topics to today's youth, parents, singles, students etc by someone who is empathetic n isn't just preaching from their ivory tower with next to no knowledge about the nuances of the world we live in.

Very well managed and amazing mosque with clean facilities. The mosque is run by Indian Gujarati management who have done an excellent job of maintaining the mosque and now plan on expanding it. They offer partial Alim courses and Hifz programs from the young. Always feel welcome here, they have for years invited ulama from across the world for weekend programs and lectures. They have 2 Friday sermons and halal food is sold in parking lot(burgers amd hotdogs) after the Friday prayers. They do an excellent job at keeping the youth involved and I pray to God that they keep getting better Insha'Allah. Ameen

It's a well maintained mosque. After various administrative internal disputes they seem to have finally settled to a stable admin. Unfortunately, even if not administratively the congregation is not child friendly. Even for adults, for unintentional mistakes during Salah (ie cell phone rings) the past Salah reaction is like a volcanic eruption of anger. No Sunnah etiquette to deal with such situation to correct someone. No administrative oversight to manage such situation or crowd control or even post scenario to teach the congregation for some patience, wisdom to deal with matters.

Its a mosque and an Islamic school. Pretty clean with good management. My only criticism is the delay of Friday prayers. Website would say iqama at 3.45 and often the actual prayer won't start until 4.00 or after. Management should consider the fact that a lot of people take a break from work to quickly offer their prayer and go back. Delaying the prayer because of announcements will take people away from the mosque in the long run. Other than that its a perfect place run by motivated individuals.

Alhamdulillah it has good facilities for man and woman. It has nice clean washroom and parking lot. Alhamdulillah getting bigger and extended facilities nearby. Inshallah it will be one of the best mosque in North America. We need more ethnic groups in management, getting united Ummah to work together as our Rasul Muhammad SWS united Muhajiruns , Ansars and greater Ummah in his period. May Allah SWT bless all of us and unites our Ummah.

Spacious and comfortable masjid. They don't have enough parking space for Juma and other big Ijtama. Better to park your car in the nearest parking lot of the mall that has plenty of free parking space and walk from there for 5 minutes. Please dont park in unauthorised parking spots as you will get parking tickets and your vehicle may be towed away at your own expense. Be a good muslim!

My childhood Masjid (Mosque). I remember Maulana Muhammad Budaniya used to take me there to pray Asr and Maghrib when I was a little kid then taught me how to read the Qur'an. Then some years later, I was taught a little bit of hifz with Qari Umar Farooq. They were like my fathers. Allah bless them all and keep the masjid operating until the world's end. Ameen, thumma ameen.

This is the place where Muslims go to offer salaah, recite the Holy Scripture and praise the creator. So it is a really quiet place to be there. Have not been there. Don't know much about the timings of the salaah. Because it frequently changes. We mostly see large gathering on Friday afternoon.

Good mosque. Blessed to have it. Needs a bit improvement. Masjid management Does not represent multicultural community that have it in neighbourhood. They need to have more Arabic, Pakistani and other multicultural people in management if true representation of community is to be represented.

3 times Jumah, last Jumah about 3:45 PM but these may shift by an hour depending on season. Have Sister entrance too, if you want your children to study they have Madarsa classes after asr and before magrib I think but double check and for girls too. The whole community comes to this masjid.

This masjid is a blessing of Allah to us. Because of this masjid we have musallas in Thorncliffe buildings where youngsters of this madrassa regularly leading jumaat. This masjid Masha Allah has full and part time Hifz and Aalim claases, my son is also this masjid student in part time class

Very well maintained, organized and tidy mosque. Spacious but parking spots are limited. They do have Quran and Islamic class. The reciter is great . Surrounded by a lot of Halal shops and restaurants. Thank you for all behind the scenes of this great mosque. Jazakum Allah Khair

I was living close to Darussalam Masjid in 2019 and 2020. It was an amazing experience in a lively place with a lot of people living closeby. inshAllah with a growing community and plans for expansion. It will remain one of the best masjids of Toronto.

Masha Allah it's a place of worship for Muslims and they have purchased a larger vuilding that will accommodate a lot more Insha Allah. Donations are needed to help with the loans. The new location is jut steps from the current location Allhumdullilah

Over the years, ive seen this Masjid evolve for the betterment of the community span over 30+ years and counting. Great madressa/Islamic studies for all ages. Male and females. By the mercy of Allah swt this place gets bigger, and better.

It's a masjid so hard not to give 5 stars. Convenient stop over to pray salat. One star docked because Jumuah bayaan and announcements given in urdu despite the diverse congregation and availability of English speaking scholars on staff

It is very nice misjid but 2 3 people in the management are not good they are creating problems for people other than this everything is perfect and a gentle request from the management to guide these people to not create problems

Good place and nice people...very clean and easy to find parking and they are offering many youth programs to the community. Every Friday they had a program after isha salat.. Two Jumma prayers...1st 12.45 PM 2nd at 2.15 pm

It's one of the famous masjid in Toronto Canada, it contains two main section one of this for the women's and other caters for men, also contain the other smaller sections for Qur'an learning (The holly Qur'an ).

Well organized and well managed masjid and madarsa, weekly and daily programs for adults, teens and kids. This location is now shifting to a block nearby and the new facility will be much bigger and planned.

Greap religious, community and spiritual place. Very well organized. None of the speeches carry any policatl agenda. Parking guards are always present on big events. A must visit.

Attend Jumuah O you who believe! when the call is made for prayer on Friday, then hasten to the remembrance of Allah and leave off trading; that is better for you, if you know.

Very clean n loving people. It's a masjid with all facilities fir praying even ladies section is separate. So blessed to have this place thank you Allah.

The place tries to cater to the nearby community and succeeds occasionally. It is an Islamic society and as such, does its part, but that's about it.
