Building has gorgeous interiors. Housing a wide range of botanic materials from around the world. Currently home to SALA exhibition as well. As well as some hidden treasures of exquisite beauty. This is the only museum of its kind in the world. Do not miss the art installation Grove by local artist, Fiona Hall. More

Well what a find this place was! Purely accidental but what a delight. It was like stepping back in time. Amazing collection of botanical items sourced from all around the world for their usefulness to mankind. The displays were fascinating and the presentation unlike anything else in Australia. Loved it.

This Museum is a rare gem, an insight into the past and a lesson for our day. The building itself is beautiful and the displays include 130 year old creations of fruit and mushrooms which works of art. There was a guide who spoke with passion and knowledge. Wonderful!

This is a must visit place for anyone. Such a knowledgeable place with great items to see. There are collectibles from foreign countries too. Specially one whole cabinet full of products belonging to veddhas that lived in ancient Ceylon

This is an extraordinary museum. Wonderful collection of all kind of plant seeds, displayed in the most wonderful and magic setting. The whole exhibit one big art installation, in my opinion. Was fortunate to meet the curator. Inspiring

Sooo interesting. Even learned about Sri Lankan tradition - where I often spent time. And the importance of the coconut. Building is awesome. And inside exhibition shows again how important plants are and always have been in human life.

This is a free museum set in the stunning botanical gardens. The museum was well presented and interesting but was very small with limited exhibits to enjoy. Still worth stopping by if you get the chance More

What an astonishing visit! Who knew that so much money could be handed over to make an oil and gas profiteer appear to be supportive of beautiful and rare plants while fracking away like crazy

Educational & fascinating exhibits superbly displayed .... Congratulations! However a catalogue of photos of the exhibits with descriptions would be helpful for school projects.

This place is the last of it's kind in the world. Absolutely worth a look in. It should only take an hour or so to see everything and there's plenty to learn.
