"AVOID if you can"
Very disappointed with the service from RG law. Initially, the service was slow but making some small progress. I was informed that this was because of the stamp duty holiday deadline making it a very busy period in conveyancing. I was constantly told that the other parties solicitors were being very slow and difficult to work with and I thoroughly believed this was the case until I was notified by a third-party who was involved in the transaction that they felt my solicitors (RG Law) was very unprofessional but the other parties solicitors were really quick at replying and seemed professional. In order for completion to be done in time, I had to go out of my way and take the matter into my own hands to ensure that all the documentation was received by visiting the management company myself and constantly emailing back and forth. The worst experience was post-completion after RG law received my money. I was told unless I paid the invoice in full, (including the post-completion fees) RG Law would not complete the purchase. However, once paying all the fees and completion were done, the post-completion process was at a standstill. I did not receive my share certificates and very little communication for a few months. I would call RG Law and they will say that they will call me back but a week later and still now call. In the end, I again had to take matters into my own hand and communicate with the rest of the parties to get the share certificate issued for myself. This is my first and last time using RG Law - I will not recommend at all.
Shocking display of bad advice and failure. I was misguided and treated so badly by this firm. They effectively made me homeless as I gave up my house as my buyers were desperate. I was told I would exchange on my purchase within 3 weeks this took 5 months. I was on the floor with 2 children over christmas for 5 months. My sisters landlord was furious with her as it took so long caused untold problems. They didnt provide the correct information about my lease. This has now cost me £8000.00 plus all the fees my freeholders too. A shocking display of bad advice and missed deadlines. They handled my divorce. I was quoted £700 it ended up costing £2500 and I had been to mediation there was nothing to do just contact the courts. I took 18 months also. Total bunch of Crooks and they do not care at all about their clients in anyway. I tried to complain. Provided a timeline of events Matt Gillies dicounted the lot didnt even read it I suspect. I was distraught when I realised what the lease was going to cost and they never even advised me to take action when I was buying the property. Just let it all go through without telling the consequences How was I supoosed to know what it would cost. They were the ones that knew and should have done something for me but they didn't. Shocking Firm Rubbish at what they do. Do not use them !!!!! Ever Please tell anyone that might be seeking advice to avoid them at all costs
Avoid at all costs. Can not believe the 5 stars reviews left compared to my recent experience. We used RG law on the sale and purchase of two properties. They where nearly a thousand pounds more expensive than internet quotes but used them as they where central to York and my place of work. I thought useful if I needed to talk to someone ( I wish) Their main phone line is automated and you can only leave a message, you can not speak anyone at a reception desk. My case manager was terrible. Impossible to contact on the phone, had to use email all the time. Awful response time and at times didn’t answer the question stated. When I RG law to speak to someone the only number you can use is the automated one. We felt completely unrepresented throughout the entire process and had to drive the completion ourselves. ( hard to do when you work full time and have paid a firm thousands) Upon completion paid the final invoice and thought all was well. After about a week into our new house we received an email from our old mortgage provider questioning why we had cancelled our direct debit. It transpired that RG had received a final redemption statement from the bank but failed to send an accurate amount during completion. We are now in the position of needed to find nearly 3 thousand pounds in under a week. Avoid at all costs, I would hate anyone else to be in the situation we are now in.
Where do i begin? From the very moment I picked up my phone to ring this RG Solicitors, my case was handled with professionalism. Right from the receptionist to the Clerks compiling paperwork. Having said that, the main highlight for me is Chloe Lush (Solicitor) who was dealing with my case. Wow! I certainly received a 1st class service. Chloe knows her stuff and was duly keeping me posted every step of the way. No doubt she must be an experienced highly qualified Solicitor. Just FYI - I had two (2) separate solicitors dealing with my selling and buying. Big mistake! Wished I had just used RG Solicitors for both. The difference in level of service was extremely crystal clear - lessons learnt! Chloe would go into details, explain the process of why she was asking for things, the next stage etc which was calming me down and took the pressure off. However, I wasn't receiving the same treatment from my other Solicitor which was annoying. Another positive thing about this firm is that I was able to personally speak with Chloe over the phone at any given time. Well.., within 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday anyway. And if she wasn't available, I just leave a message and Chloe will call back. As a result, there was a smooth transition of the buying of my new property and I moved in last week without any further delays. Highly recommended... Best Regards Tony
AVOID if you can. I am a first time buyer and truly having a tough time with the team at RG law. Its been over 3 months and I am still not even close to exchanging contracts. My case has been handled unprofessionally and I have now provided feedback to my case team a number of times which I hope they will take into consideration for future cases. Please bear in mind they are all 'singing dancing' when they want to take your money. As soon as you've deposited your money, you're stuck with them. It was almost impossible to have a call with my Case Manager for the first 2.5 months until I really had to push for it. The gap between preliminary report and final report is around 2 months. So please expect to hear the answers to the queries raised only as a part of the final report. There will be no updates provided between the preliminary and the final report. Cut the story short - If you want your peace of mind and do not want to be as homeless as me right now - Avoid. Update 5/11/2022 - After 4 months of struggle, I am still nowhere near completion. Infact very smartly, my case manager has decided to include an additional fee of 500 quid for work which should have been included in my current transaction. Hidden costs, Incompetence, lack of legal expertise and laid back culture. Guys please STAY AWAY! These guys are the worst conveyancing firm ever.
Recently used R.G solicitors to sell my shared ownership property. Whole thing was pretty horrendous from start to finish. Mistakes made pretty much thought duplicate wrong paperwork. Not completely sure what I was paying them to do as did most of the paperwork chasing for them. Never returned calls or emails often. Didn't really seem to know what they were doing often confusing/conflicting information given. Was no chain 1st buyers buying my property and I had already moved out and took nearly six months to sort out and nearly lost my buyer. Didn't really care sometimes came across very rude and dismissive even when most of the problems were their fault. Final straw was a council document which they had been apparently chasing for 2 months when we complained was told it's normal and there is nothing they can do and will be another six weeks my partner contacted council and sorted it within 2 days and council said they had never been contacted!!! Take my advice and find a different solicitor. If I could score 0 I would. Mark Just to add rg have replied below. Never called or followed up complaints just like the service as usual from a very poor solicitor company. Just a follow up to prove that they say all the right things but do very little. Mark
I’ve deleted the awful review I have RG a year ago just so that I can write this up to date one. This is the worst solicitors I’ve ever encountered and what they do is bordering on illegal. After completing over 2 years ago (which was riddled with problems, delays and incompetence) I’m still picking up the pieces of these shameful people. Despite paying for a lot of services from these people, I’m now finding out that these services were never done. Checks with land registry were never completed which are a legal requirement. Checks with companies in the lease were never completed which is a legal requirement. As such I’m finding out 2 years of unpaid charges are now expected because RG failed to notify them I was the new owner. Words cannot express how much I recommend you go elsewhere. Last year I was asked by RG to sign the land registry deed! This was done 2 years ago. As such I asked for my money back as I’d paid for this work to be done and was told it was, yet it still remains outstanding. I’d give them 0 stars if I could! Myself and the property management company have reported them to the legal ombudsman as well as BBC Watchdog. This will be the second time.
Professionalism and dedication beyond 5 stars. Yesterday I got the keys to first home. It was a very complex transaction: it was a probate sale and a shared ownership, in which the heirs needed to staircase to 100% and sell simultaneously. My solicitor Chloe Lush made what I started thinking at some point was impossible given how slow the housing association involved (it took us almost 6 months and there were no chains either on my or on sellers' side!). Chloe not only excelled at her job but also taught the sellers' solicitors because it was clear that this whole staircasing process was new to them. Chloe worked extremely hard. During the week before completion and as the mortgage offer expiration date was approaching fast, Chloe dealt with everything with such professionalism that even though it was quite a nerve-breaking situation I stayed calm because I knew I could trust Chloe 150%. I've heard lots of bad stories about solicitors before starting my purchase and I hoped that all those excellent reviews here stand for something. They surely do: I will recommend RG Solicitors to each and everyone without any reservations. Thank you so much, Chloe and team!
Dreadful. I had the worst experience with these solicitors during an excruciating 13 week long process to buy my flat. The communication from my case manager, Becky Kendall, was simply non-existent. Emails would take days, if not weeks, to receive replies to. Calls and voicemails would go unanswered and the very first time she spoke to me on the phone was in the last week of the process. When I called out this unacceptable behaviour in an email, no form of apology or explanation was offered to me. Documents would be sent for me to sign with little to no explanation as to how to fill them in. The rest of the chain were growing very impatient with us, so much so that they threatened to pull out multiple times during the last couple weeks of the process, a very stressful situation to find my self in. This did not bother Becky in the slightest however, who continued to ignore all my pleas to speed up the process and enquiries regarding progress updates. In the end I submitted a formal complaint and received some compensation, but no amount of refund would ever make up for the service I received. Avoid RG Law at all costs!
Highly recommend RG Solicitors. Not the cheapest option, but you get what you pay for - from my point of view (first time buyer), the most hand-held property purchase experience you can have. There is no web portal you upload documents to (on contrary to some cheaper solicitors) - instead you get a solicitor that is assigned to you (in my case - Faye Bishop - thank you for all the help! This 5* review is because of you) and they will keep in contact with you either via telephone or email (whichever you prefer) and will create entire documentation for you. Searches are personalised (as not all of them are mandatory - not all of them are necessary in case of new build or near new build). My entire purchase was completed in 2 months give or take, which is faster than UK average. In my opinion - spending few hundred £ more on solicitor just to have peace of mind that someone takes care of you while you are making such a big financial decision is well worth it. Thanks again Faye and team! (And now it is time to go back and carry on painting walls in smaller bedroom...)
I am surprised we even managed to complete with RG solicitors (York branch). We were assigned a very inexperienced case manager who had no background in conveyancing and was just an administrator. His inexperience cost us a lot of time and money. He made several mistakes; one in particular would have led to the sale falling through. Other solicitors in the chain found him frustrating to work with. We were told the whole process would take 10-12 weeks and ours took 15 weeks due to his inexperience. We did much of the chasing up. He did not call us once in the first 14 weeks at all- it was always us initiating communication. The process was far more stressful than it needed to be. We went with rg solicitors as recommended by purple bricks- I would strongly advise you to find different solicitors. The only person who I found helpful was my case manager's supervisor- Sophie. I had to contact her on 3 different occasions because my case manager was ineffective- she was far more efficient than my case manager.
CategoriesBlog Csaba MakaiGB My ReviewsMy Settings HelpLOG OUT For businesses Your review counts! You reviewed RG Law Csaba Makai 4 reviews Just now Avoid at all cost if you don't want to… Avoid at all cost if you don't want to end up a lot off extra cost!!!!! If I could give a negative I would. We are in the process to pay off our help to buy and started the process 3 month earlier to make sure everything is done in time. We were assigned to a useful Case Manager who didn't do anything at the beginning. After escalating the issue they started to deal with our case, we submitted everything they asked sameday! Now two days before the completion they advised they we are not ready for completion because this person absolutely uncapable to deal with anything. We are facing a lot of extra cost due to our mortgage expires in two days + might need to redo our valuation as well. Absolutely gutted as we did everything the correct way and well in time. The only mistake was to trust RG to handle this for us
I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for your excellent conveyancing services for the Help to Buy Redemption and purchase of my properties. I appreciate your professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail throughout the whole process. You have made the conveyancing process smooth and stress-free for me, from the initial consultation to the completion of the transactions. You have kept me informed and updated at every stage, and you have answered all my queries and concerns promptly and clearly. You have also liaised "target" to ensure that everything was in order and on time. I am very happy with the outcome of the transactions, and I am delighted with your service. I would not hesitate to recommend your services to anyone who needs a reliable and competent solicitor for conveyancing. Thank you once again for your hard work and dedication. I hope to work with you again in the future. Special Thanks to Sara, Yewande !!!!
The team at RGLaw are extremely helpful and responsive, our case was dealt with by Akshaye Gunputh. Akshaye, was a great help to my partner and I, he made all the steps clear and gave us regular updates on what was left outstanding. I have dealt with solicitors a couple of times and I have never had a solicitor who was as responsive as Akshaye, he would respond to my queries at the very least the day of raising them, if not within half an hour and with a phone call. This gave an extremely personal touch and near the end I could tell Akshaye cared about our case, ensuring that all bases were covered. He was meticulous in his work, he would question and investigate if he believed there was additional benefit to be gained on our behalf. I find legalise confusing at the best of times but Akshaye and his team took the time to explain all steps and documents as simply as possible. Thank you Akshaye and thank you RG Law
I am purchasing a property where the seller of the property is represented by RG Solicitors. Oliver Butler (Commercial) has vetoed me representing myself due to money laundering regs. I have provided bank statements, a letter from my bank showing funds coming from a mortgage and have tried to come to RG Solicitors office with passport, driving licence and utility bills. I believe that RG Solicitor is using money laundering regs as a reason to ensure that I get legal representation because they are uncomfortable with the idea of an individual saving money by not using a solicitor. Complete inflexibility on the part of RG Solicitors and having asked them to explain their reasons, and give me the name of the senior partner who made the decision I have not had a response from them. I will be complaining to the Law Society and Ombudsman in due course, but for now, avoid this inflexible firm.
Massively Avoid them, The same experience " smiley nialley" have i got from this firm My broker introduced me to them and i found out they firm is in york while my purchase in London. Two ladies were in charge Alison Scott and Jennifer Robert , the worse solicitors I ever seen. Initially they gave me a quote £1300 for one bedroom house with the price £250,000.00 .However, later on I found that a friend of mine for a house worth half a million pound paid £1100 but it was not end of story in the middle of purchase they add so many extra cost to their quote and it turn to £2,850.00 plus 4 weeks delay based on what I had been promised. Desperately , I had to pay them as i was on the severe stress , moved on to friend house , my stuff everywhere and in a word nightmare No apology by those ladies and later on when I wanted to complained they left that firm. awful service
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend RG Law. I have used RG Law second time (1st time for purchase and 2nd time for sale of the property) and will be using them again in the future. Would like to express a special gratitude to Debra Kentmen, for being highly efficient, highly professional, who was absolutely fantastic in helping with the sale of my property. She always provided updates and made sure I am aware of everything that was happening throughout the process, every time i called she always answered, always reachable, very professional, very knowledgeable and really helped with communication of 'unreachable buyer's solicitor' she really helped to speed up the process and ensured everything was done and communicated in a timely manner. Debra Kentmen is an absolute Super Star Thank you so much for all your help and efforts for getting this across the line.
I chose RG Solicitors as they were recommended by my Estate Agents, then the sale fell through so I ditched the Estate Agents and sold privately. Then my vendors pulled out . . . I was pretty stressed by now but RG handled things smoothly if a little slowly. I finally found another property to purchase and RG appointed a 4th different solicitor to deal with my case. I was a little worried but needn't have been, from the moment Shameem Boolaky took over everything went swiftly, managed to complete in about a month and coincide sale and purchase after Easter. She always kept me up to date by phone and email, sometimes several times a day. When I did need to phone she always knew my case, her professionalism and affability put my mind at rest. I would have no hesitation in recommending Shameem at RG. Thanks for everything.
I returned to RG Law as had previously used them and received great service. However, this time I was really let down by the service received. Throughout phones were never answered and calls not returned. Twice I had to go through Facebook to obtain a response. My case was transferred from York to Sidcup halfway through. I would have accepted these as minor issues, however, on date of completion they sent me all sale proceeds instead of sending to my onward purchase resulting in a great deal of stress as I had to attend the bank with ID to try and send the funds back. This was not a minor problem. They did pay the additional costs incurred for removal company plus 100 for my stress. Now I find the transfer document should have been In my new name I sadly wouldn’t recommend now.
We had the worse experience with these solicitors. We have used them on someone's recommendation that was so embarrassed after he found out how terrible theirs service was. Continuous chasing, delays after delays, even the other solicitors and estate agents from the chain above were fed up with our solicitors. On top of all this, on the day of completion they delayed us by 6 hours, they never issued an invoice and I requested it and checked it, I found out that they overcharged us by nearly £600 that we had to chase and didn't get them back for about 4 weeks. We raised a formal complaint directly with department managers and firm partners and after 7 weeks we still had no resolution. Next step is The Ombudsman. Even purple bricks conveyancing is 10 times better. DO NOT USE!
I used RG Law after reviewing three separate conveyancer and chose RG Law as they were competitive in pricing and was local to my new house (never had to visit their office though). All paperworks completely remotely and only on two occasions that I had to sign and post paperworks. Rianna and David was handling my case where Rianna was really helpful with any queries and supported while I was on the phone to complete processes. We generally spend 15-30 mins on every single call to discuss on-going process and the next step. I had my keys after 2 days from contract exchange date where I paid addition £149 for expedited service as I chose the completion date. I am glad to say RG Law completion the whole process for me in exactly 2 months (house no chain and unoccupied).
We recently sold our flat with this law firm and our experience was a bit bumpy, especially at the beginning with a solicitor named Leanne Thomas Blair who was lazy, slow and she lied to us several times to cover her back. We had to constantly push her and chase her to get some info. In fact she managed to make us lose the buyer after several exhausting months of backs and forths because of her attitude. As a result we had to rent the flat for a while because we had moved abroad in the meantime. Finally she left the firm (or she was fired not sure), and our case was took by Sara Hamsley who we were very happy with. Sara and her assistant Yewande were approachable, kind and fast in ending this whole nightmare of a process and very helpful throughout it.
So far no fireworks. Unhelpful and confusing We will see what's awaiting us once we past the welcome team. UPDATE: Year on I am taking a star away. We had to report them as in 2015 they were aware of information that caused us to miss out on a sale of our flat and left us 7k in debt two years later. They also pretended not to know about this and caused us significant distress and having to go through legal proceedings. Case is currently being reviewed by regulating bodies as RG wouldn't even respond to our complaints. Dishonest and negligent. Ps: Charlie person who responded to this review have never contacted me so it's all for show.
Not impressed with RG Law, York office. They had a competitive initial quote but nearly cost me £700+ in additional fees and indemnities (e.g. for an access way that didn’t exist) had I not challenged this repeatedly. Told me these indemnities were compulsory when they were not. Poor communication. Did not inform me of annual leave or who I was to be handed over to, despite it being my exchange date. Totally frustrating experience and would not recommend them. It may have just been the person I was working with since when they were on annual leave a lot of the weeks of issues were resolved. Incredibly frustrating.
Yewande and Sara have been absolutely incredible and instrumental to my successful house purchase. Timely communication every step of the way. Professional and accurate with emails and documentation and extremely patient answering my multiple questions. I could not have hoped for such amazing legal representation. I was recommended RG Law and oh my! it’s one of the best recommendations I’ve ever followed through on. RG Law is also an excellent legal firm with very good infrastructure. The whole sign up process was smooth sailing and fast! The app is also brilliant! I can and will 1000% RG Law.
Very disappointing service. They carried out a conveyancing service for me on two properties. Timings were messed up and communication was poor between their internal teams. Their was also poor attention to detail resulting in me having to carry out and point out additional requirements myself. They also didn't pay full attention to my instructions resulting in them overpaying on the redemption amount. Im left to having to spend yet more of my own time chasing my previous mortgage provider for the overpayment they made. Based on the experience I have had I would not recommend them.
Very bad service. The vendor and the buyer were both from RG, hoping this would speed up the process. IT took more than 4 months, no chasing has been done on their side, we had to look for documents, chase council... we were left completely alone. No answers to phone, and lots of mistakes in the contract and worse in the final bill. They've added a lot of unnecessary items to the billing, always check what the bill you for!!! Last but not least we just found out we were in risk of Breach of contract because RG solicitors forgot to submit a document! DON'T GO WITH THEM.
I would highly recommend RG Law and will definitely use they service again. Akshaye Gunputh and Beatie Jackson have been exceptional, as a first time buyer I wasnt even sure where to start but they have made the whole process much easier. Never had any issues contacting them, was constantly kept up to date, they were quick to react to any queries and even the estate agents said that our solicitors are spot on. Again thank you for all your support Akshaye and Beatie and I will definitely recommend your service to anyone who is looking to sell or buy the property
AVOID AT ALL COST-Just like another reviewer on here, I am trying to buy a property from someone who is using these solicitors. The worst solicitors I have ever dealt with and I have dealt with a few! It's been 6.5 months since the legal process began and and we are still not there yet- I am on the verge of pulling out of the purchase- It's cost me a lot of money not to mention the time and effort I have spent on this purchase . I will be seeking my legal costs from the vendor if I pull out for using such incompetent and unprofessional bunch of people!
I was recommended to this solicitor to take care of my house purchase during national lock-down. At first the solicitor dealing with my conveyancing was taking ages to get things moving along and after excuses blaming Covid 19. Finally when I told them that I was taking my business elsewhere, I was given a new senior conveyancing solicitor, who constantly updated me and made sure that everything was water tight and managed to get all of the job done in just 5 weeks after taking over. I've now moved and very happy with how things turned out finally.
I recently used Jenny from the Sidcup office for my sale and purchase. This is the second time I have used her services in the course of a few years and yet again she was absolutely brilliant. She kept us fully updated, was always there at the end of the phone, never having to talk to an answerphone like some Solicitors and remained calm and totally in control even when I felt differently. I would always recommend RG Solicitors to all my friends and family and would not hesitant to use their services again, especially Jenny, who is first class.
We were first time buyers and unsure of all the processes of buying a property and was recommended RG Solicitors from a friend. They couldn't have been more helpful and made a stressful experience stress free. Adam was brilliant and replied to any queries we had very swiftly and with full explanation. The customer experience department were brilliant throughout and made sure we were happy every step of the way! We are now very happy in our new home! I would highly recommend using RG Solicitors and we will definatly be using them again
We had a wonderful experience with RG solicitors. We used the sidcup branch and our appointed solicitor was outstanding and professional through out, Craig Holgate is an asset to the company. And will definitely be using them again in the future as well as recommend my family and friends to use them. They made sure everything run efficiently and smoothly through out and we completed quickly even though the seller solicitors were being a bit slow. Outstanding service and a very happy clients Gentiana and Fitim
Terrible Service, overpriced, poor communication, never know where you stand, was told would in house by January when first called, don't believe their lies, nearly 4months for a freehold, buyer and seller chain free and still not sorted, instructed them on 29.10.19. official start date. Don't waste your time as we have, they obviously don't care . Sent documents in mid December and don't flag no problems until end of January and still was asking for different documents time and time again, they don't know what they need.
We would like to thank RG Law in handling our first time home buying experience. Charley and all staff were very polite, provided excellent service, demonstrating professionalism and personal attention to all details of our upcoming agreement toward the purchase. She responded on every email and text that we had questions and concerns and we got answers. The closing went smoothly and on point with all of the documents that had to be signed. Thank you once again on doing a great job. We would highly recommend RG Law firm.
Really unimpressed with the service I am receiving so far. I need to chase and feel like I am not the customer but the person that works for RGlaw and need to constantly keep an eye. They are are not proactive, barely can ever have a phone call. I would not recommend to use their services and regret I didn’t do a better research prior to going for them. Save yourselves the nerves and don’t do my mistake. Really disappointed for such an important decision in life make sure to feel you are in good hands so please avoid.
Do not use this firm. I have had a case with them for over a year. They assign cases to solicitors that are up north, you can never get hold of them. I made a complaint many months ago, the Partner in charge of complaints was suppose to review it, he never did! It's still outstanding and no one cares. I'm in utter despair. As a qualified solicitor myself I know what care clients are suppose to receive and this is the worse of the worse. I have now referred them to the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
Avoid this firm if possible. This firm was recommended by my estate agents. The lawyer Chloe lush who was assigned to my case was rude, unprofessional and near impossible to get hold of. Going with this firm cost me money and unimaginable amounts of stress I almost ended up loosing the home I was trying to buy. I ended up switching solicitors mid way through the transaction as their service was so poor. They may be cheaper than other solicitors but not worth the near loss of my sanity.
Used them when buying the house on recommendation by a colleague. They were ok. Most of the time I spent talking to a legal assistant. I was hoping that my main contact would be a qualified solicitor but that wasn't the case. I expected them to be quite firm and find all possible legal ways of getting seller to comply with the law but they weren't very assertive. The free will incentive is also a bit poorly executed. Not sure how it will serve me in the long run. Will avoid next time.
Beatie and Akshaye as a duo have been excellent. They have provided my wife and I with a great service. Their responses and updates have been prompt and they have been very proactive when dealing with the vendor's solicitor's. Akshaye in particular as the point of contact has gone above and beyond to provide us transparent communication. Beatie has overcame any vendor issues seamlessly. I will 100% be using them again on any future property transactions. The best in the business!
Basirat was our lead contact and she provided an excellent service. She kept us updated on every milestone stage and was, therefore, proactive throughout. I would have given 5 stars if we had been advised in advance that both co-executors needed to be available at the exchange stage. I appreciate that I should possibly have known this, however, a quick reminder would have helped. This is probably not a failing on Basirat's part, more a step in the process that may be missing.
Brilliant firm.. i bought my first home with out any hassle and on time .. Am so pleased with their great work. It only took me around four weeks since i made the offer to completion.more ever they kepet on update stage by stage it was realy helpfull to understand the process and knowing what exactly happening.once again i strongly recommend this firm, specially first time buyers.once again i should thank Craig Holgate & Beatie Jackson their service was simply outstanding.
Friendly and helpful staff at the Sidcup office. They have given me good advice, responded to my questions/emails in good time acted when I needed them to. This has resulted in getting my house sale to exchange/completion in good time. They were also very understanding when a buyer in the chain pulled out and put the whole process in jeopardy - advising I could move the file opening to a new buyer as necessary. Very happy with the service I have received from the team.
I have used RG myself in the past and was extremely pleased that my sale went through within 6 weeks, which meant a lot to me at the time. As a local Mortgage Broker 3-4 of my clients use RG in Sidcup on a regular basis, I continue to only hear good things about the Sidcup office. As the conveyancers work in pairs, the clients get to know their Solicitors, but aren't left waiting if one of the pair is not in the office. Well done Sidcup for delivering great service
I had an outstanding and stress free service from RG Solicitors. The two Solicitors Doreen Park and Phil Bone were Just superb, friendly and very professional when dealing with my many questions. They ensured that all matters were simplified and clear for me to follow. The process of buying the property run smoothly from the very beginning as help was always available when dealing with the many documents I had to provide. I would give RG Solicitors 10* if I could.
Can't fault RG Solicitors. My case handler was Vicky from the Sidcup office. Always returned emails the same day, 99 percent of the time answered the phone when I called. My home was sold through RG and my new home is being bought through RG. The sale was a drawn out process hindered by my previous lender and their own solicitors. Vicky remained on top of my sale and we exchanged and completed on the same day. Great service so far, just the purchase left to do.
We were extremely satisfied with the York office, who handled the sale of our flat in London. We dealt with 2 solicitors during the sale period (original had annual leave at one point) and both were extremely professional and very prompt in replying to queries. The other reviews posted here in no way reflect the experience we had with this firm, who I would certainly recommend to friends and family based on the great work they did for us.
Our case manager was Jenny and she was brilliant, very calm and professional throughout what was quite a stressful process for us due to the end of our chain. Our only criticism was at the beginning of the process we must have spoken with about 5 different people so we didn't know who we were suppose to be returning forms to. Overall we were very happy with RG Law and thank Jenny and the team for all their hard work and patience.
I have just used RG Solicitors in a 5 property chain. Holly at RG was bar far the best solicitor out of the 6 involved in the process. Always contactable by phone, replied to queries promptly and happy to help in anyway! The estate agent couldn't believe how prompt and accessible Holly was. If only all solicitors were as good it would make the process far easier and quicker! I have since recommended RG to two friends!
We recently completed our sale through RG Law with Megan and Jordanne. They were both excellent, kept us well informed and very quickly replied to emails or phone calls, they also discussed and explained things clearly when asked. They were always on-top of any issues, and happy to chase the other side with any delays and see things through to completion. Would certainly recommend them without hesitation.
The people that are managing my case are very nice but RG is severely understaffed so every step takes 3-4 weeks longer than it should to complete. For example, enquires from the buyer's solicitor sent on the 11th of September did not reach me until the 11th of October and this is after much chasing. Therefore, I cannot recommend RG if you are looking to complete your sale/ purchase in a timely manner.
I’ve just had another successful completion of my property and would like to thank Akshaye Gunputh for his excellent work throughout the last 12 months. I have used RG Law for a number of house sales and purchases over the years and have always been immensely impressed with their service and incredible value for money. Five stars from me. Looking forward to you helping me with my next home purchase.
I have used RG Law and more specifically Sara, Conveyancing Case Manager, on my last two house moves. I have always received a fantastic service, being kept fully up to date with progress at each key stage and in a timely manner. A very experienced and helpful team and a real pleasure to work with. Competitively priced and giving great peace of mind during what is always a rather stressful time.
My partner and I used RG Law to buy our first home. I couldn’t recommend them enough! Both Beatie and Akshaye from the Sidcup branch have been extremely helpful, professional and informative. They have updated us through every step and I could not fault them. It has been such a smooth process we can’t thank them enough for all their help and we will definitely use them again. Thank you again.
We were very happy with the prompt responses to our queries, support and regular updates. Due to the pressures of a chain the turnaround from initial instruction through to completion was very quick- RG did their very best to accommodate this. Only gripe would be lack of attention to detail- e.g. failing to provide invoices reflective of reduced purchase price. Overall, we would recommend!
I would not hesitate to use RG Solicitors. They were introduced to me via a Linden Homes development where we purchased a new build property. They efficiently managed searches and the process was smooth and hassle free. Holly M is a great communicator and very effective at her job with all the dealings I had with her through the house purchase. Would recommend without reservation. Thanks!
Great service, I felt the cost was reasonable considering I was a first time buyer with nothing to compare it to. But like another reviewer said, you get what you pay for, and I felt this was good value for money alongside friendly professional service. Nothing was too much trouble, and all questions or concerns were promptly dealt with. Thank you, would definitely use RG Solicitors again
We bought our first house with RG Law. The experience overall was very good. Sara Hemsley and Yewande Owoola were brilliant! They were very punctual , professional and friendly. As first time buyers we were very in-experienced and Sara answered all our questions in a timely manner and addressed all. our concerns. I would highly recommend Sara and Yewande from the Sidcup office at RG Law.
We’ve recently completed on selling and purchasing our new house. Beatie / Akshaye and Andrew were great at keeping us up to date and we’re very patient not just with us asking questions but also because the chain took a long time to complete over a year of working with us. They provided us with hard copies if we needed them and made sure everything was clear. Thanks for all your help.
I had pleasure to work with Basirat Naseer from RG Solicitors. Very professional service, always detailed update on the progress of my purchase. What I especially liked- before she went on holiday she always warned us she will be away and there was 2nd solicitor who knew about the case and was able to answer all queries. Hard to find with some other solicitors. Highly recommend!
Absolutely horrific service - must have chased hundreds of times over 6 months - repeating ourselves and experienced shoddy service like others. AVOID. Never answers phone - ever, company may as well save money and throw their phones away. Run by total amateurs - even messed up £50k payment and couldn't get it back for over two weeks until I spoke to a partner at the firm.
We used RG Solicitors for the sale and purchase of our property. As our sale is a leasehold - we were surprise that it was quick and smooth. Lucy was very responsive on email and phone. She sets our expectations and gives very clear updates when necessary. If there was anything urgent, she picks up the phone and contact us immediately. I would use them again in future.
I purchased a property a year ago and I am still chasing up RG Law to amend my details with the freeholders. I can't get through to anyone on the phone and the last email I recieved was a month ago to say they will notify me with any changes. Also, during the sales process they changed my case manager without notifying me. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
I wish I'd read poor feedback before. We used RG in the past and they were not so bad, however we are now facing with real difficulty to find another solicitor midway through the deal. Awful service,no communication initiated by them, requesting same documents time and time again. Instructed mid-August,nothing happened since. I'm going to lodge formal complaint too!
Have used RG Law twice; 5 years ago when I purchased a leasehold flat, and 5 years later when I sold it. Both times brilliant to work with, and the new portal they use makes the whole process super smooth. Honestly working with Beatie, Rianna, Akshaye and the team was incredibly easy. Highly recommend them for anyone buying/selling a property in Kent or London.
Amy Reehal from RG Solicitors handled our conveyancing, she did an excellent job, going through the documents in detail. Kept me posted on time all the developments, clarifications etc. From her responses, it appeared she had reviewed all the dependencies and litigations and did a very speedy work as well. Overall very happy with her work and RG Solicitors.
We had a wonderful experience with RG solicitors. We used the sidcup branch and our appointed solicitorJenny Offord was outstanding and professional through out. I was so impressed with her attention to detail, excellent communication, and subject matter knowledge when dealing with my flat. Thank you very much Jenny, you've done a great job. Best wishes Fadi
I used RG back last year when I sold my flat, and was so happy with the service that I used them again this year, very quick service and it went through in no time which I was surprised as was a leasehold sale. I would recommend using Beatie Jackson she is friendly, polite and professional and always responded swiftly! Would definitely use again.
I could have not gone through the stress of selling my home and purchasing a new one without the help from Lucy at RG solicitors. Lucy was outstanding and kept me up to date from day 1. I had 100% confidence in the work she was doing and her professionalism was to the highest standard. I recommend this solicitors and especially Lucy to everyone!
I bought my first property through RG Solicitors and overall had a good experience. Whilst initially communication with RG was a little frustrating and slow, my case manager Amy was very thorough and friendly and reassuring throughout the process and I felt comfortable that she was representing my best interests. I would happily use her again.
Fantastic conveyancing service by all members of RG Law. I’d like to say a very BIG thank you to Beatie ,who’s helped tirelessly with the Public house sale since May! Here’s to completion Friday! Love working with you all. Thanks team! Here’s to a super successful 2023! Happy Christmas to you all! Best wishes Michelle The Good Estate agent
Akshaye has been fantastic throughout. He has supported us fully with our house purchase professionally, keeping us informed along the way with timely emails and accounting. Akshaye went above and beyond expectations even after the purchase was completed by chasing an outstanding payment due to non-compliance by another law firm. Thank you
I was recommended RG Solicitors by two friends who had both used them before so helped in my choice. I found their staff helpful and friendly, the service efficient and made the whole process of moving house go smoothly. I have used them again recently for other legal work. Good people, who know what they are doing and seem to do it well.
A very smooth operation which to be honest I have never experienced before in any previous house sales. Doreen clearly knows her subject well, doesn't easily get flustered and just asks some straight forward questions and the rest just happens. To complete from beginning to end in four weeks with four customers in the chain is amazing.
Great service from RG Solicitors on the purchase of our new property. They were always easily contactable, dealt quickly and proactively with any issues that arose and clearly explained all the costs involved up front so there were no surprises. We would not hesitate to use them again in the future and would recommend them to others.
I would recommend RG Solicitors to anyone buying/selling a house. I have not had good experiences in the past with solicitors however RG have been brilliant and I would use them again. I have found working with Jenny in particularly to be very easy - she is very professional as well as efficient and thorough at her job. Thank you!
I would highly recommend RG Solicitors of Sidcup, Kent. From the moment they started working for us on the sale of our property everything went like clockwork. The cost was reasonable, the timing of the sale process excellent and a special thanks to Amy Reehal who handled everything very professionally. 5 star service. Mike Poole
Brilliant service! Lauren, Sara and Max made our house buying experience very smooth and quick. The team was very professional and worked tirelessly despite being in this pandemic. They updated us regularly and reassured us through out the process of the purchase. Highly recommended! We will definitely use their services again.
Jenny in the Sidcup office dealt with our house purchase. Her communication was excellent which is really important in the house buying process. She worked really hard for us and we are grateful for the effort she put in to ensuring we had detailed answers to all our questions. We will definitely recommend both Jenny and RG.
Absolutely brilliant service from Becky very very helpful and knowledgeable. Becky couldn't have helped us anymore than she did and she also made everything so easy to understand. Very happy first time buyer's and glade we had Becky to help us through the whole experience. Thank you very much for all you're help.
Excellent communication and no unnecessary jargon! 4 stars just because we needed to push solicitors few times to go ahead with documentation. We were First Time Buyers and the process wasn't super clear for us but Aljosa and Rheanne helped us out with everything by responding on multiple calls during the day!
Would highly recommend RG Law solicitors. Excellent work by Jenny and Rianna who handled my case with due diligence and wrapped up the processing very quickly and efficiently. They were very easily reachable on the direct nos. given to me. I am very much satisfied with my decision to go with RG Law
Excellent all round service from Robyn. Very timely at responding to queries and keeping both me and my partner up to date with developments. Robyn was clearly knowledgeable, but importantly, knew when it was appropriate to consult her colleagues. We've already recommended RG Solicitors to friends!
Akshaye Gunputh at RG Law, was amazing. He guided us through the whole process of selling our house, kept us fully informed and always answered any queries quickly. He was patient, understanding and always really friendly. If you are looking to sell your property, I would highly recommend Akshaye!
Thanks to Akshay, Beatie and the team at RG Law for dealing with our recent sale and purchase. First move in 31 years. It was at times quite stressful but they always kept us upto date and well informed of what was going on and were always available to answer our questions. Thank-you
Amazing! Both transactions dealt with by friendly, professional staff - nothing is too much trouble for them. Will definitely use them for future transactions and have already recommended them to friends and family who are equally impressed. Thank you RG for stress free conveyancing.
i was introduced to RG Law by Chris Lang of Winkworth Estate agents who were selling my property. The service provided was very swift even when unforeseen circumstances led to exchange and completion having to be carried out on the same day. This was achieved without any problems.
Brilliant service all round. Dealt with our remortgage and I would highly recommend. Very quick to update you on the progress of your case & quick to answer any questions. Rheanne & Aljosa were the ones looking after us and I would hope to deal with them again in the future.
I had a great experience using RG Law. I was working with Donata and always kept me informed throughout the process. Very professional, helpful and above all kind to me. I was treated as a person and not a client in my opinion and would recommend the services RG Law Provide.
Chloe in the Sidcup office was brilliant. Excellent communication and very friendly. She helped us purchase our first house and was happy to explain anything we didn't understand. I will definitely be using RG Solicitors again and will be recommending them in the future.
Many thanks to RG Solicitor's and most of all to our case manager Amy Reehal. Unfortunately our purchase was not swift and straight forward other than when we required Amy's help. We are very grateful for all of the hard work and time that Amy invested in us. Thank you.
I've used RG solicitors twice now - the first time Alison Scott acted for me and the second time Tina Khanna acted for me. Both times their service was excellent - the staff were friendly and both transactions were smoothly completed. Highly recommended.....Thanks RG !
I am trying to buy a property from people who are using these solicitors. We have been unable to make any progress with the transaction since mid-December and are about to pull out of the purchase because it is a waste of time. Lot of suspicious 5 star reviews here.
RG have been fantastic! I would highly recommend using their services, they work quickly and professionally and are very patient in dealing with and concerns you have! We mainly dealt with Lauren Cherrington at the Sidcup office and she was absolutely brilliant!
We used RG Solicitors to buy our first house. It was a very professional service and communication was excellent. Every step was clearly explained and our contact Chloe was fantastic at keep us informed to changes and next steps. Overall an excellent service.
Big thanks to Holly and all at R&G the service I received was top class. I'm sure will will be in touch again and would not hesitate to recommend your services. Thanks for all your help with dealing with my father in laws property. Brian Smith and Fiona Smith
Used on a fairly simple sale and purchase of property, all done over email and the phone, very responsive and it felt like RG Law and our conveyancer Uba were moving as fast as other dependencies allowed them. Good value for money - would use them again.
We recently used RG's services for the second time and I was very impressed with the service I received from our case manager, Craig. He was always on hand to answer our questions and he ensured the process was smooth. I would definitely recommend them.
As a first time buyers we had a very good experience with RG laws..Mr Max and Mr Salman Khan were very professional while dealing with our case. They made all the exchange and legal process very clear and straight forward.I really recommend RG laws.
Base on my experience with Holly Meek at the Sidcup branch RG law. I will recommend anyone I know who needs conveyancing for a Mortgage. She was so helpful and professional through out the process. thanks so much Holly, appreciated. Regards Mariama
