Discriminatory treatment. Coming to this store is exposing yourself to being treated badly and discriminated against for being Latino or white. Today I came with my mother. When we finished paying the cashier the total bill, my mother, who is an elderly person, almost old, and is a bit slow, as is normal due to her age, so the cashier for being in a hurry to serve her buddy quickly who It was the customer who was behind my mother, he began to rush my mother in a bad way to move the shopping cart quickly and get out, so I told him to please wait a moment to take into account that she is an elderly person and is slow for age! immediately and aggressively the cashier woman, who is a fairly young woman, whose fingernails are longer than any other part of her body, began to yell at me, offending me and disrespecting me, with discriminatory, derogatory and challenging words towards me and towards my mother: words like: what's wrong with her, you're crazy, you don't talk to me like that, your mother has to move fast, I don't care that she's old, and those kinds of words that a cashier in a commercial establishment You shouldn't get into arguing with customers. In addition to that, while waiting to pay, I saw how the tall older lady who works in the store was offended and mistreated by another employee, a young woman, who also wears her hair, stuck to the front of her face. In the form of waves, she began to Insulting and disrespecting the two cashiers to raise their voices to the older tall employee, disrespecting her in front of the other employees and in front of all the customers who were there. Anyone comes to this Ross store to relax, buy and have a good time, they cannot find it. In that store, rudeness, impoliteness, rudeness and vulgar staff prevail, of which only the staff obviously over 40 are women respectable decent and considerate of customers. They should change the staff and put new management in that store. I do not return to this store anymore because I do not go to a place where they are treating me badly and indiscriminately. It should be noted that when the cashier listened to my mother and I speak Spanish, she had a bad attitude towards my mother and me. Who do these ladies think they are to treat the public that visits the store so badly?

I went to this location and saw at least 4 female employees and a male security guard. I asked to see jewelry and the two females there discussed it and told me I had to wait in the line. The line was long and of the 6 registers and 2 exchange/ return stations they only had 1 of each open. However, for a while the female at the 1 register left to go to the back for I presume to be a restroom break but only after smiling and talking with someone. This meant the cashier at the return/ exchange station took on both her line and the main line, meaning we're down to 1 line for everything. My mother walks with a cane and really was kinda stressed from this entire encounter. The cashier rang up items then asked if we wanted to pay for that before we viewed the jewelry, I said no! She showed us the jewelry, then rang us open and wouldn't even reach over to give us the receipt! It was actually a half star experience.

Love this store and TJ Maxx is right next door! I can stay in this shopping mall all day lol. Love how they have everything from clothes, to beauty, alot of beauty, even giant bags of candy for $5 for my son! I actually didn't even buy any clothes this time lol I went in for face wash and a blow-dryer which I got at a steal! Thanks Ross. They always friendly here too. And the staff is always busy because it's such a big store but they really do keep their composure! I would struggle in the same situation not going to lie because of the volume and also uptown location causes more issues. But the staff know how to take care of this store! Proud of you ladies i mean it!

Worked here for a month . They blew up my phone asking me to work and then when I leave they hold my check/money hostage. Do not work here co workers are rude and ghetto. But I think that's the new Orleans area. I'm not used to this behavior but they will play with your money and lie and say the main manager is not there when I know her whole work schedule. UPDATE: Managers told me they would mail my check off and did not mail it been waiting for 2 months. When I called ask did mail told me they cannot do it and have someone pick it up for me when I live in a different state. UNPROFESSIONAL. If you can get your hands on them please do !

I looked forward to this store opening yet was greeted with disappointment. The clothing selection (compared to the Baton Rouge location) is sad and cheap. Minimal racks and styles. The same applies to shoes, personal items, handbags, linen, etc. Have visited several times since (next door to TJMaxx) and it remains unchanged. Frankly, all the Orleans and regional outlets are the same. Baton Rouge is WELL stocked. WHY? The sales associates are friendly, welcoming and accommodating yet there is very little need for them with no quality goods to offer. Ross Dress, please do better and make your stores equal in offerings/selections.

I only go in here when I have some time to waste... and I mean a LOT of time. It's a big disorganized store, but I suppose it's worth it to find a good deal. I usually stick to the perimeter of the store and avoid the clothing section. Digging through disorganized racks is bad enough. I've purchased luggage, home décor, bed sheets, shoes, kitchen items, and more here... all heavily discounted below what you would typically pay at a department store. And, higher quality stuff than you would find at Target/Walmart. It takes a bit of effort, and definitely a lot of time, but it can be worthwhile.

Unprofessional group of women that are employed there!!! I'd purchase luggage previously from a Ross Store but the day of my vacation cruise two hours before my departure my luggage handle broke and luggage crack..this place would not accept my return on defective luggage...I had to purchase another luggage because time was running out trying to explain to customer service about my situation. ..never go there..they need training on how to treat customers expeccially when trying to do a return or exchange..if I could give them a " 0" I would give it

They do not have enough beautiful, plus-size clothing for big women at all. The plus-size clothing that they do have is totally out of date out of style and just totally old-fashioned. And they are very discriminating. I can't oversize women. Due to the fact they do have women that wear a size 32 women and they do not provide clothes for women, that's past 26 women. I noticed a lot of stores it's like that, not just theirs, even Lane Bryant and Ashley Stewart, and they are supposed to be plus-size clothing for plus-size women.

I wanted to go look for a Mother's Day item, but the Google store hours says closes at 11:00pm on Saturday. I leave TJ MAX which is next door at 8:45pm and they are already closed. If I would have known they weren't going to close the time given in Google I would have gone there 1st. Several others did a turnaround at the same time as myself. All of us looking at our phones confused ..... Not a good look especially when it was going to be my 1st time experience this new location.

There was a gentleman working security that was super gregarious. He greeted us upon arrival and talked with us when we were checking out. We found what we were looking for and when we went to check out the young lady at the register was kind as well. And the Security let us know she had just been promoted and not gonna lie it made that one trip into the store a blast. We loved Nola and its residents

This location is pretty nice. I wish their shoe section was more organized and that they carried more size 9 women's shoes, but aside from that this is a great place to find a little bit of everything. The staff is pretty friendly but their loss prevention team can be a bit of a nuisance but I guess they get a lot of theft because of the neighborhood. All in all, I do enjoy the shopping here.

Very ghetto and unprofessional location. Store staff and security harass you while you are shopping close to closing time. I’ve been to Ross’ all over the US and this Ross staff and security were by far the worst customer service. It is the closest Ross to the airport MSY but please drive past it and go further to nicer, more professional Ross stores. This one is hood and ratchet.

Although they start off having one person at the register, the customer service is good. Clothing is cute, modern for all occasions, and affordable. Store location mostly clean. Just be aware, because of it's location, there is an extra 1% sales tax added to the 10% parish tax. Unsure what the full reason behind this. But aware of the political one.

This was my first time visiting ANY Ross Dress for Less. The location is spacious and not overcrowded with items. I simply visited the home section and made a few purchases of high quality and reasonable pricing. I have since visited Ross three times and made home purchases. A must visit for home items at an extremely reasonable price.

I love this Ross, forever Ross was on the Best Bank not New Orleans so this is so popular with items frequently changing so there's tons of home decor, sheets/towels, kifs section/toys and clothes, prices are crazy low and they're for the whole family Womens/Mens/kids/shoes and home even fragrances, lots of parking, but so worth it

It's a great place to get a few things inexpensively. The selection can be limited and there's not many folks around the store to help you but that's how most stores are nowadays. I usually go there and buy supplies for our dogs. If you go you should always check out the clearance section. They have exceptional deals there.

Wow this Ross store is wonderful l really enjoyed shopping in this store this was my first time at this store l have been going across the Mississippi river bridge too shop at the other Ross l would hope that they would hire more cashier's they are short at both stores, but l will return to this Ross again and again .

Despite the variety of brands and low prices, the store is always disorganized, with pieces of sizes out of place. And the service is generally terrible!Once I was alone waiting at the cashier, because the attendant went out to see the gossip of a theft... I think this is a lack of respect for consumers.

Ross has lovely household goods and everything one needs at an affordable even with a slight increase. I don't really shop for the clothing, with few exceptions, but customers speak highly of the clothing. Lastly the employees are courteous, very professional/ competent and helpful. Thanks Ross!

Love this store! Great prices! Super prices! You can get high end clothing and shoes for less than 30 or even 20 bucks. I like it better than TJ maxx sometimes. Location is not the best, but it's worth it for the price. I would not recommend going there after dark as the area is a bit sketchy.

Dude they had such a great selection of shoes when I went a few weeks ago! I couldn't decide which ones to get. Ended up with two pair! And a few outfits too. Waps really pleased with the selection apt this location. One of the best I've seen in a while! Compared to tj Maxx, & Marshalls!

I came here from SC and I am OBSESSED with everything in here as a 13 yr old! I found pants $40 cheaper than what I've could of payed for on SHEIN website. Also I love there is different type of styles here. I'm in love with these pants,shirts, and belts I got from here. Tysm! <3

This Ross store is very organized and neat. It is hard to find a discount store that can keep their store organized because of the amount of stuff they merchant. Do not be discouraged by the line — it moves QUICKLY. You are guaranteed to find something in this store so beware.

Staff is always pleasant and helpful! Security aren’t doing too much but actually speak to you when you enter the store lol. Great prices, good finds, and items aren’t hard to find at this location. The lines can be long sometimes but it doesn’t take long for it to move!

One of the Female workers treats a Spanish girl very poorly because language barrier….I confront her properly and calm and she flips and says you people like I’m Spanish. She also treats me with terrible customer service. Like all of us needs Job but I will fire her.

Pretty much like every other Ross everywhere. Extensive selection of Misses and Women's clothes, in all sizes. I was very happy about that. Not a ton of toddler boys clothing though. And only a small toy section. Lots of adult shoes.

This Ross's is located in uptown New Orleans, same place as TJMAXX. Not a large variety of clothing, or shoes. Store was clutter, no sales person to assist you. Elmwood location is better, don't know what's the problem, same company.

If y'all don't get some more cashier's in their. I had a good 400 dollars worth of stuff. And I left the whole basket. They had one cashier, a good 15 ppl in line. I love the stuff but that was to much, then ppl were getting upset.

Great selection. Like most Ross stores the line is usually outrageously long due to a lack of staff working registers. Way more employees working "loss prevention" than checking out customers. Need to shift their priorities a bit.

Not open as late as Ross stores I've come across in the past, but maybe that's just a New Orleans thing. I usually go to the TJ Maxx next door any time I come to this Ross, and TJ is open later, I believe. Just keep that in mind!

The clothes are great but the stuff isn't always discounted and the stuff is expensive. Ross dress for more. The employees look like they come from horrible backgrounds. White, Black,Spanish or Asian. They seem all aggressive.

This Ross seems to be getting worse. It's hard to find stuff, merchandise is thrown all over the floor, lines are super long. This used to be a go-to for affordable clothing options, but lately it's been too scattered for me.

The store is well-organized with a good clothing selection. I give this location only 3 stars though because check-out and returns always take forever due to the limited number of employees. Usually the wait is 15-20 minutes.

Got 3 sports bras for $7. A steal! Store was pretty clean and organized. There was an adequate number of cashiers working for a busy day. The security worker greeted me upon entry of the store. Definitely a worthwhile visit.

The employees are nice but at this time of year it is really messy in the store hard to find stuff. There are things everywhere. They do have a wide range of items you will have to search through racks to find it.

Got some cute tights and dresses...had problems finding things in the undergarments section...too messy in most of the ailses. The changing rooms need improvement and the attendant wasmt quite helpful and warm .

Shopping was great, but the check out was terrible. I waited over thirty minutes in a very long line, there was only one person at register. One worker was hanging up clothes, while another was just standing.

I felt like that had a lot of merchandise variety and choices of things to select from in this store- especially mens undergarments and little girls clothing. They even had a good selection of yoga mats.

I love Ross' merchandise but the service sucks. There were 4 Ross associates in the office chatting and 1 associate working the register with 12 customers in line waiting to see check out. Ridiculous!

Nice selection normally. Staff doesn't always know the answers to prices and will redirect you to someone else that works there often. If they would all understand the prices it might change to 5*.

I love being able to find all sorts of items like clothes, kitchenware, home decor, luggage, etc. at great prices all in one place. There is ample parking in the lot and the store is easy to find.

The worst customer experience ive ever seen in my life. All the employees are rude. Travis was playing on his phone at the register and the lady working returns had the worst attitude.

Ross has a large selection of clothes (not so much if you're looking for xlarge) and a small shoe section. The prices can't be beat but be warned shirts shrink when dried.
