"Excellent western art collection; it ranks among the best"
We loved the experience! The lady at the front was very helpful and gave us great information the bronzes and about Sid Richardson. We asked her about some places to eat that were open and my wife and I agreed on Cheesecake Factory. I'm sorry that I didn't get her name, but she helped make our viewing very enjoyable! Thank you!
Very interesting. I'm a history buff and enjoy museums. I'm glad to see the story boards weren't politically correct and told the story as seen through the eyes of that day. History is history, let's not try to sanitize it and try make like it didn't happen. Thank you for a wonderful experience. More
Located in the heart of downtown Fort Worth, this is great museum to check out! It is fairly small, but the artwork is nothing short of breath taking. There is no entrance fee and it will only take 30 minutes or so. There is also a gift shop which is pretty affordable. Definitely worth checking out!
What a wonderful surprise tucked into the shopping and restaurants located around Fort Worth’s Sundance Square. A collection of paintings from Remington and Russell. The friendly staff and informative print guide (all free of charge) with the gorgeous paintings made this a trip highlight.
Excellent western art collection; it ranks among the best. As a Remington and Russell enthusiast, this museum was right up my alley. While not as large as many museums, it makes up for this in the quality of the works displayed. There is a good gift shop, too.
I thoroughly enjoyed your museum! I'm from Montana but live in Taos now So I'm very familiar with Russell's art. I go to the Russell show every March in Great Falls! And I luv the story about Mr Richardson! And the painting of him by Peter Hurd!
100° day; 2 18 year olds… one tired mama. The museum was closing and the kids only got to spend about 45 minutes. They want to go back!! Much appreciation for the art collection. We appreciate the reality of the American West. I am partial
We just stumbled onto the Sid Richardson Museum strolling around downtown Ft. Worth on a nice late winter afternoon. One of us (me) is a huge Charlie Russell fan so were for sure going to go in and see what sort of a place this was when we
It is a small museum with only 2 rooms to display paintings and a few bronze sculptures from the collection of Sid Richardson. The docent was heard explaining some of the works to other visitors and offered good services to us too. But we
Named after the Oil Tycoon that collected these Western Themed painting depicting the old West with cowboys and Indians. Free to view in downtown Fort Worth. Only a fraction of the paintings of the collection are displayed at one time, so
Fort Worth has some of the finest art museums in the country. As a Fort Worth resident I frequent those museums several times a year but for whatever reason The Sid Richardson Art Museum slips my mind. It could be because this museum is
The paintings were nice, and the staff friendly enough. it was small but not what we expected. The staff hovered and watched us constantly in a rather disturbing way. Made us feel like we were intruding. Wouldn't go back. More
Everyone was nice and answered all questions we had.Their knowledge of the exhibit was overwhelming. You can tell they enjoyed being there and discussing Sid Richardson as a person as well as a collector of art. More
Lovingly arranged oils and watercolors by Charles Russell and Frédéric Remington of the Old West, the romantic, the violent, and the (for that time) commonplace. And it's free! More
Stopped by with some time to spare before catching a flight. Loved how small this place is, the artwork is very interesting and staff is super knowledgeable. And admission is FREE!
Very informative and nice staff! I brought my 1 year old and carried him throughout the gallery and they were more than welcoming! Thank you thank you! More
Small but nice museum. My favorite part, is they provide a postcard and send it for free. I sent a nice card back home. The admission was also free. More
