Terribly disappointed in the customer service at this store. I found a pair of gloves in the store that were $9.99. This particular TjMaxx had about 8 different pairs of these exact gloves ranging in sizes S, M, L, XL. Out of all of the pairs, only 1 of them was priced at $14.99. The $14.99 pair were a size L, which was the size that fit my hand the best. The S, M, and XL gloves were all $9.99. The exact same pair of gloves was $5.00 more than all the rest. When i went to purchase the gloves, I took 2 other pairs priced at $9.99 to the register, so that they could honor the correct pricing. The cashier told me there was nothing she could do to lower the price and that the $14.99 pair of gloves came on a different truckload, so it was $5 more. A lady came over and proceeded to introduce herself as the "Price Reduction Manager" to tell me that the $14.99 price was correct, despite the fact that every other pair of the gloves were priced at $9.99. I asked them if they could honor the price of the other gloves, since it seemed that this one was incorrectly priced. In a very impolite way, they explained that there was nothing they can do and the price was final. I proceeded to explain that if they could not honor the lower price, I wouldn't be purchasing the gloves. They both explained that that was fine, and sent me on my way. As soon as I turned to walk away, both women began speaking in Spanish (after our whole interaction was in English) -- clearly talking about the interaction that had just happened. I generally always try to respect people in retail and customer service, since I've worked in myself, but this experience was terrible.

I AM VERY DISPLEASED! Today I went with my mother for school shopping. We like tj maxx its a very nice store, we find great clothes and shoes! But this experience may have put me off from tj maxx. When we enter we went to look for school clothes and their selection was kind of scattered but that is to be expected as it was around 6:30pm. When I went to try on the clothing the women at the dressing rooms barely spoke. Had no smile. I felt as if I was a burden to her magazine reading! After that we went to wait in a LONG line. There was one register open and he was really trying his hardest to be polite and keep the line moving. A man opened another register and took ONE customer. After helping that customer he then proceeded to get on the phone and talk for a while. Another man came over to a register and got on and that made the line of people move more efficiently. When my mother went to purchase the items I went over to the man who had simply stopped and got on the phone. I asked him of there was a manager around that I could speak to. He then told me he was the manager. So I asked him "do you by chance have any one else coming on duty for a register because we have been standing in line for over 10 minutes." He proceeded to give me a shrug and say "this is the best I can do." The boy who had checked us out was very polite but the manager was simply rude. As we left he decided then was the time to get on a register. I will NOT be going back. They had poor customer service!

Very bad experience with a cashier called Michael who try to rob my friend of $3. He heard us speaking in French together and probably thought he could take advantage of that. My friend put $23 in bills, and $1 coin to pay a total of $23.99. He faked a confusion between $1 coins and quarters and asked repeatedly to my friend to put 3 more $1 coins (she had them in hand). Of course he was holding all the bills, so we couldn't re-count them. When we were finally able to count the bills and coins and show she put enough, making very clear that he tried to rob us, he suddenly starts to chat about the weather, soccer games, etc, likely to make us forget he is unreliable. Will never go to that TJ MAxx again.

I dropped by after work because I needed a baby bath tub. They only had one, and the box was busted and no price tag. Since it was in the clearance section, I grabbed it anyway thinking it would be a steal and mostly because I didn’t want to have to run around to other stores. They wanted to charge me “at least $40 or more” because it was a bigger box than the $24.99 baby sling (totally unrelated item). I showed them that the Summer brand website / Amazon and Walmart were selling it new and free delivery for $29.99. All they could do was match the price because “it seems about right” . I bought it anyway because it was late but definitely Not impressed with the service and the way they handled this.

This store is ok. As a shopping mother with a baby, I was very disappointed to see that there was no changing table in the women's bathroom. It wasn't for lack of space because there was plenty. Also, found an 3 pack item that was missing 1 of the items and had some pulls on it (not a big deal but still a cosmetic flaw). Inquired up front about the cost and decided not to purchase about I was given the discounted price. Happened to be in the store the next week and saw the same item back on the shelf but with no discount. The employees should have discounted this item before returning to the shelf. I view that as lazy.

This was probably my least favorite visited tjmaxx, the set up was pretty messy inside, the selection for the things I usually get at their other stores was pretty slim pickings here. The staff there at the registers had zero personality. Didn’t even smile and when I asked if they could remove the security tag from my item, I was met with even less personality. The gentleman was more fixated on leaving to go to lunch and the gal next to him told him he needed to completely finish helping the customer before he could leave. I don’t think I need to return to this location

It's been a while since I've been in there and for anyone looking for a good buy, it's always worth a look. You might have to sort through quite a bit of choices, but who says that's a bad thing to have options. In some places cluttered but overall good experience. The cashier (lady) was very friendly and asked us if we found everything and smiled throughout the transaction. We didn't get her name but we bought some exercise weights and weight ball if she remembers. Thank you for our experience and definitely if you have a day, go out and visit this location!

Worst customer service and false advertisement. Storr has a 5-10 clearance section in which, not only are products not all in clearance, not in that price range, but also they have the SAME product at different prices. When questioning them, as I wanted to buy 2 units, they failed to honor the lower price arguing that one came after the other to the store.... this is Shampoo that had the same serial number on them. Store rather not admit their mistakes for 3 USD. Poor trained staff to handle issues.. and false advertisement.

Marcel is a manager at this location and has a very poor and unprofessional attitude. He was shouting at the front desk about my transaction. 2 cashiers apologized for his behavior. I've always spoken to him but he never speaks back, just looks and looks. The rest of the staff is PHENOMENAL!!! Marcel makes me not come to the store as often. He straight out lied to me about store policies or he just does not know them after all these years. I surely do and customer service confirmed I was in the right.

Being a dog friendly store, this location is very against dogs coming in. My dog was staying right by my side and very well behaved and let out very minimal barks. An employee came and said in a very unprofessional way, “if you can’t get your dog under control you have to leave” all while the manager hid behind her and later said “did you tell her” as I was walking away. Being a dog friendly store, you can’t be sensitive to a few dog barks.

Normally decent selection. Always long lines. Online returns impossible but that’s not unique to this location. Why does TJ maxx corporate make returning in store so difficult? Anyway..Went to this TJ’s tonight shortly after 10pm. Supposed to be open til 11pm. Sign on the door said they were closing at 10pm due to staffing. Just inside 4 staff standing chatting, 2 sitting down on the displays. Guess it’s just a symptom of the times…

I'd give it a five star if they'd put the cashier guy with the dreads in the back stocking. Other than that everyone in that store from the manager with the curly red hair and the awesome fingernails to the cashiers and the people stocking store are all awesome with the exception of that tall thin guy with the dreadlocks he is not a nice person and should be in the back stocking or sorting clothes and very little customer contacts.

Well stocked and had what I needed, but some of the staff seems unprofessional and ratchety. Cashier manager who checked me out never greeted me, never looked my way, and talked more, and quite loudly, with the greeter than she did with me. Poor leadership example and not the typical TJ Maxx /Marshalls service I've grown accustomed to from other locations in various states. Unlikely I'll visit this location again.

If I could zero stars I would. The cashier (Tia) was extremely rude and condescending simply because I tried to pay with a gift card and didn’t let her know. I asked her to grab the manager to what she responded “she’s out there somewhere” she continued to give me an attitude and got one of her friends in line to threaten us. I’m reporting this to corporate and hope to have this person removed from her position.

I love the home section here, but had a very unprofessional experience during my last visit. I was yelled at by an employee for accidentally dropping a small plastic bin (it didn’t break) and then overhead the employee mocking me afterwards while I was in line waiting to check out. I totally get people have bad days, but it made me feel terrible and I will probably avoid this location in the future.

Went in to return a $5 item a few days after purchase (after my total bill was $160) because it was not in the box (a phone glass protector). They would not refund me the $5 saying they couldn't accept an empty box and basically accusing me of stealing the item. What a terrible feeling and poor customer service. Be prepared to not be given the benefit of the doubt as a customer there.

I came to return the shoes I got 3 weeks ago, never worn as they were super uncomfortable. Manager refused to accept them as 1.she insisted I wore them outside, which you can easily tell is not true by looking at hills and 2.were not able to find them by receipt and said that I got them somewhere else while everything was purchased in a same store. great service! never coming back.

Not a very good experience coming here. Not enough people to help if you needed assistance carrying an item to the checkout. Store was unkept. The cashiers were loud talking back and forth to each other at the registers as if they were some place other than work. Very unprofessional and "ghetto" that's right, and I was even embarrassed by their verbiage. Won't be going back there.

They really need to revamp this location all together, staff, marketing, upgrade the styles like some of the other locations I've been to. I have to dress Professional at work and things like blazers, nice skirts, nice blouses are hard to find at this location. The clothes are all over the place not in order like it should be. I guess good help is still hard to find.

Store hours online and stated by an employee a few days ago were 9-10pm. Arrived at the store at 8:32pm, doors were locked and staff just stared at me. People in the store and checkout line so they weren’t closed yet. Tried explaining I just needed to grab my favorite socks and shampoo. They said they close at 9pm yet I wasn’t allowed to enter at 8:32pm. Inconvenient

this store is not good with customer services an returns i had to purchase double the items because they didnt have the dressing room open . an lost my receit brought the remaining of the purchase back an they offered a store credit ,,,,, this purchase was not even 4 days pass i had to call corperate just for them to take care of this an im still waiting

My wife went today and had 2 items that were priced incorrectly, and the cashier woman just said, "well that's not the right price", and wouldn't honor the tagged price. Horrible customer service. It's a shame issues like this aren't address with cashiers. This is a management problem. Customer service is what keeps customers happy and coming back.

The clothes at this store, in great part, are of poor quality. It is hard for me to find clothes here. The store has quite the inventory and may be a great place to shop for a younger consumer with children and a love for toiletries, makeup, purses, gadgets, etc. However, for a person looking for quality clothes the shopping must be elsewhere.

Just an overall disappointing store. They didn't really have anything that caught my eye, my wife's eye or my daughter's eye.... which never happens anywhere else. Also I felt most of their stuff was overly priced in comparison to other stores with better quality. TJ Maxx just isn't the company or brand it used to be.

Prices are over rated. Style of clothing is different. Store cluttered. Not a good experience. Went to clearance area and they aren't clearance prices. Not a fan of TJ Maxx but my daughter wanted to go in the store. Back in the 90s I use to shop there constantly. Brand changes is very noticeable. Just saying.

I’m not sure if I’m spelling this employee name correctly but elesie was very rude when I went up to paid. I nicely asked if I could get changed for a 20$ bill and immediately she rolled her eyes and aggressively started shaking her head mumbling something under her breath instead of politely explaining why.

The place is not in order, lots of stuff just lying around in the floor and got mixed up in places. The quality of the goods is questionable. The place is not comfortable for shopping at all. There is no comfortable place to sit down, just one chair. There is not much staff to help around.

Good for a T J Max! Run out of items quickly though, especially in common sizes. Lacking in friendly customer service, and expect a wait at the register - not because they are busy, but just don’t seem to care about checking anyone out until they get ready. Happened on several occasions!

The lady at the dresser ask me to hold up the clothes that I did not buy, I did it because I show respect to her due she was an old lady, but she was not asking the same to every body. I really felt bad about the situation, I won't come again to that store.

Nice looking store. Wide selection. Pretty clean and the men’s bathroom was pretty clean as well. Only complaint is that I didn’t like their belt selection and that some employees looked miserable but you will see that everywhere for the most part.

Mona the “front end manager” was awful, I went through checkout and I had two items and one was on sale. She proceeded to scan and take off the tag and tell me that it’s original price and not the sale price and I asked her why. She said it

So proud of myself when I can walk out of this store with less than my entire life savings. Their seasonal things as well as clothes are fabulous. Those oversized sweaters are all the rage and they’ve got some really cute ones I purchased!!

It was a great shopping experience. The store was very organized and clean and their prices were great. A lot of great deals on name brand clothes and shoes. I would refer this store to anyone that's looking for great clothes or footwear.

Execellent! I always find deals. Leather gloves (calf skin) supple some w/mink fur.. more than half off.. like 70%. Go there. Sweater's also on sale. Making room for "Spring stuff" don't walk, run go get the deals. End of season things.

The whole place looks ugly. There very few selection for mens clothing (pathetic quality items too), there are not even a mens shoes section. There are only one chair for the whole store. On the upside, the restroom is acceptable.

O-M-G. Fav store. Always find something I like here. The selection of products is by far one of the best TJ;s I've been. Super organized, the line is quick, the staff is nice and friendly and there's always good clearance.

This one is a goodie. TJ is my favorite store and this one stays organized for the most part. The home section can be a bit scarce from time to time so not sure if they just take a while to restock or it just sells quickly

Not sure if it’s under new management or what, but kudos to your team! I was amazed by how clean and organized it was the last couple times I have been in. This is my favorite TJs in Charlotte. Always find something good!

The prices are always so reasonable at this store. The inventory is always suffice l, especially when you’re looking for a last minute, reasonably priced piece for an event, be it casual, or black tie.

Hadn't been in quite sometime but while I was waiting on some food I ordered. I stopped in, I needed a new necktie and I run up on these great finds. And I was in & out like the Flash‍♂️ …

Store was a little messy and disorganized, but I found some nice things. It's always worth stopping by and checking out their selection. Often find nice home decor and somewhat decent clothing here.

Found a few good things there, they are my go to for a couple of reasons...I also find great anime t-shirts for my sons and myself! You just have to walk through and see what catches your eyes

Came in looking for luggage but they had one or two pieces, not a great selection and the price wasn't with the quality. I did find a few things in the men's department. More than I expected.

They have a pretty lackluster Men's section. Probably the worst of any TJ Maxx I've ever gone into. No joke. Staff is pretty friendly though and for the most part the lines move quickly.

Miss Erica Rodman was excellent help this morning. She help me find the perfect tie for my outfit. Also, she was very charming to all guest and provided a wonderful environment for all.

Made a quick stop to pick up new socks. They have great prices on socks and underwear so why spend department store prices for the same items when you can get such deep discounts here.

Found some great sales on children's clothes. The store was neat and orderly. Unlike Burlington that's next door. They had ample cashiers and I did not wait long to checkout.

Has a decent selection of clothing, could be better but overall not bad. Service is great as well with usually 3-4 registers open when it's busy things move decently quick.

Long lines and very slow check out...the employees were nice and tried to personalize with every customer...which turnt into 3 to 5 minute conversation and held the line up

Ok experience, biggest complaint is almost getting knocked down a couple of times by employees. And employees stocking shelves on a busy Saturday and blocking isles.

This one is much smaller than other TJ Maxx stores. It should be bigger given the growth in the area. Customer service is good and selection decent for its size.

Great place to find inexpensive home decorations or discounted designer handbags. I found a lot of picture frames and cute signs for my wedding here.

Not the best TJ Maxx location in Charlotte but very convenient and better than the Ross up the street. Employees are very nice which is a positive.
