"Amazing mosque / Parking Extremely incompetent management"
"The old guy in management is a rude, arrogant and discriminatory person"
"Spacious"
"The management is terrible and doesn't even open the mosque 10 min before the Jamat"
"I have been saying my prays in this mosques since I came to Toronto in 2010"
Amazing mosque / Parking Extremely incompetent management. Do not follow their own rules. Posted sign says door is locked 5 mins before fard prayers . Heard majority of kutbah from outside and was locked way earlier than 15 minutes before jumma started. Plenty of space inside. As others have mentioned they fail to listen to their patrons and will tell you to go elsewhere. Power trip as none of the brothers here in charge have any significant professional roles of senior management and it shows in the running of this mosque. I agree with wearing masks and bringing your own Janamaz but how these brother justify locking out hard working middle class Muslims from praying on their lunch break is beyond me. I pray they are ready to answer for their akhira as there is not one visit to this mosque where I do not hear multiple persons cursing them for their poor behaviour and not following their own policy. THEY ARE PERSONALLY REAPONSIBLE FOR 1000’s of brothers missing their fard namaz for which inshallah they are held accountable. The imam at this mosque is old and incoherent and repeats the same thing every kutbah. It is sad as majority of the youngsters have abandoned this mosque and it is only old people who come here now. The imam I’m sure is an amazing person but it is time for him to move on as he is not making a positive impact as people are not listening during the sermon . Please do not take my comments negatively, I only wish for improvement to benefit all . All knows best.
The old guy in management is a rude, arrogant and discriminatory person. He tried schooling us about where to throw a juice carton, and spoke to us in a very rude manner. He has rude to my friend and spoke to him angrily and in a threatening way, when I intervened and told him his tone is rude, he told me to shut up as per what he said, “I am not talking to you”, isn’t protecting your friend something Islam teachers us and a Canadian thing? He spoke about Canadian customs but he doesn’t follow anything himself, such as the being nice to people and being friendly. We came to the mosque for a short prayer, and never again. No wonder such a big mosque is always empty, a place where young people are discriminated and viewed as ignorant because of ageism. He thinks he owns the place, I thought a mosque is owned by God, not a specific entity. I did not argue with the old rude guy as we were fasting, I hope he may see light in the future and learns how to treat people.
Spacious. Good parking space. Locked right after isha before fajr and in between after prayers. Masks and prayer mats mandatory. There are two slots for friday jummah, 12:25 and 1:15 so there's always room for late comers. Having said that management is poor, they're not very knowledgeable nor concerned about the teachings of the sharia and how to manage a good community. They're more afraid of covid than they are of the hereafter. Discourages people from coming to the mosque. Doesn't open doors to late comers. Doesn't discuss concerns openly with public and decides what's right by themselves. Asks people to go to another mosque if we find any issues with their management. Has taken no initiative for iftaar in ramadan. No initiative for ittikaf either. All in all not a lot of sunnah there in my opinion despite their name stating as such.
The management is terrible and doesn't even open the mosque 10 min before the Jamat. The government lifted the covid restriction but these people still keeping it on. They don't let people make wudu. They literally doesn't care about the community. Went there for Juma with my family and they were not allowing little children in the mosque which is very disrespectful. Seems like a business than a community place for prayer. Missed a lot of prayer because of these people. I am sure they will be held accountable for it in the day of judgment.
I have been saying my prays in this mosques since I came to Toronto in 2010. I love the mosque and its multi lingual and cultural community. My sons Omar and Arafat attend the Quran class every Sunday. They have learnt the rules of performing salat along with necessary surars and verses from quran required for salah. They also built habit of saying salat. May Allah protect the mosque, the efficient and dedicated management team and the community. Syed Munir 686 Midland Avenue Scarborough ON M1K 4C6
Beautiful quite place with calm neighbourhood on southern city end. TTC accessible, from road facing one may not feel its a masjid so a cute minaret is needed. I am amazed by humble volunteers, so pls. Do visit for congressional prayers, weekend, aur eid. Ramadan iftar experience was eye catching. They definitely seem to be short of funds, so do whatever possible. Parking is on back side. Keep the good on, keep spreading love; the only way ahead. Stay blessed.
The shariah allows anyone to join a jam-at late and here is the management of the mosque who lock their doors when the prayers starts. And then they threat you that this is a private property and the decision of the management is final. The decision can be respected if it is reasonable. The world has moved on from Covid and they still insist on masks which is terrible. Pathetic experience with management and how this facility is run.
I am going to this mosque with my family and I have a 3 year baby boy. My son with his mom on women section he don’t understand the kudba and some time he play with other baby. That’s why some old women complain my wife you train your baby at home not in mosque. I think this mosque is not good for baby. Before Cary your baby you must think about it they not like your baby, it’s not a baby friendly mosque.
I was in the Mosque last week after the Jamat was over. One mosque management called me and told me that mosque is closed after each Jamat and reopen 15 minute before next Jamat/Prayer. He told me(only me) that between prayer time people come to mosque and vandalize and steal. I think the management should post this in their website plus put note in the entrance door!
The mosque is very clean and it has big space. Location is great as well for the muslim to come for prayer. Lots of parking spot at the back. Friday it is hard to get parking as well as hard to get out after Friday prayer.they do need a traffic light. City should come forward to help the muslim community and make it easy for everyone who comes to pray.
They stand to guide peaple but they are themselves lies in their website about Jumma Prayers timing. peaple are going straight from their work and can only take short breaks but they don't care the just need to complete their own plans. today they started after 45 min of the time they mentioned so prayers please schedule your timing accordingly.
This Masjid is an example for others to follow. Just a simple building that suffices for the needs and requirements of the people. The beauty of it is the humongous parking lot. So many Masjids spend money to make a Taj Mahal structure but alas the Muslims park and block neighbors driveways. What a pity, people must get so fed up of that.
This Mosque is very spacious and has lots of parking space. Women can also come anytime of prayer times. There is a dedicated Imam to lead prayers of the daily five time prayers. Very clean prayer area and washrooms very friendly worshippers and management too. Recently children Quran class has been introduced and is going very well.
I came all the way from pickring and end me around this mosque, during jumma. The brother there won't allow me get in even i have a clean matt to pray on it since its the requirement. Their problem was it should be a prayer matt. Not another matt. Thats ridiculous. Won't allow people pray even if they have a clean matt to pray on it.
Very nice masjid. With plenty of space for praying and parking. Segregated place for men and women for prayers, a big common hall for events and iftars. Very good Friday lecture. Only drawback is they don't regularly update their website with events and other notices. The best mosque in Scarborough!
I know it’s ok that if you do have a prayer mat, you’re not supposed to pray inside the masque. But today, literally they had sent us back from right in front of the entrance. Where whole Toronto is now getting normal, why are you guys becoming that rude to the Musulli?
If members are responding to an invitation to meet at the mosque then a more ‘welcoming’ ambiance should be established., Coffee, tea, water, snacks, members can meet, mingle , and communicate in a relaxed atmosphere, before and after their meeting.
During Ramadan - No Ifter during the week but only in the weekend! Mosque management discourage to attend Mosque during breaking fasting since they do not offer Ifter during the week (Weekend only). Very different from other mosque.
I had a disappointing experience at this mosque. The people selling clothes and candy at the front were very rude and didn't show respect for fellow Muslims. Even the volunteer was pushy and behaved as if he owned the place
AselamuAlykum werahametullah I just came from other city. to pry juma selah they refuse to let in coz I dont have prying matt it's not fair to do that even I explained Zero results may Allah forgive us amen inshalAllah
THE MASJID IS ONLY OPEN DURING THE SALAT TIME AND AFTER THAT ITS AUTOMATICALLY LOCKED. IF YOU ARE TRAVELLING OR NOT A REGULAR MUSALLI DONT BOTHER STOPPING HERE. MASJID IS NOT FULFILLING ITS PURPOSE AT ALL.
Worst experience. Its a mosque not a business place. The management is rude, they even lick the doors during prayer time. Locked doors??? Why?? This is a mosque. People should be allowed to pray here!!!
A great mosque in the Birchmount community MashAllah. Very large space for both brothers and sisters. Clean carpets and mosque. Nicely air conditioned as well. Ample parking in the back of the masjid.
Kids (under the age of 10) are still not allowed!!! And the people are so rude!!!! I hope someday these people (the management) will learn some manners to talk to other "Humans".
Masjid should be opened in day time, especially for taxi drivers, yesterday it was closed at 3:00 pm. Very surprising that only opens for jamat times. A message for management
During COVID 19, this management have been maintaining social distancing and tracing strictly. Much appreciated. May Allah bless all of us to return to normal life.
Love this place during covid time & still they maintain all necessary action to protect people from covid. They have done great job.

Very calm and quiet neighborhood ideal for prayers. Big parking space and wheelchair accessible.
So peaceful. Friday's are busy and especially eid days. Nice place for taraweeh and magrib salat
That's is good place to go for prayer. They follow proper timings, clean and peaceful place.
Just waste of time to go there. No time punctuality but restrictions alot in Jummah prayer.
They write 24 opens, but I turned all around the mosque I didn’t find any open door.

Nice clean mosque with lots of parking space. Lots of washrooms. Friendly people
Huge mosque. Prominently seen from the roadside. Pakistani majority community.
Large enough for the grandest festivals, but too large to be really intimate.
Maintains proper social distancing and rules to avoid community transmission
