I went there this afternoon to inquire about a missing package and letter/envelope …. I’m very naive, I thought perhaps a few things were misplaced bc my steadfast, Angel postal maiden was recently reassigned to a different route. The day she switched l, my mail stopped coming. I’m serious I’ve gotten 3 envelopes (all week)as opposed to my usual 5-8 a day. My work check is gone! My roommates credit Cards(two, he ordered a replacement and it failed to show up) My brand new credit card. A small retail purchase for work… Alll Gone and the people I spoke to at window #1 at the 23rd street post office told me , yeah when this happens they are just gone. I wasn’t told they were doing anything about it, pretty much I have to accept that my paycheck, credit card and merchandise have been relocated at this new post officers discretion. What’s more, there was a note online regarding my lost merchandise . Postal worker wrote it up that it was delivered to mailbox. That Is a Bare Faced Lie. The dudes I spoke to gave me no conciliation, no hope, just cold comfort in a pen and paper. “Write your address and issue down” That’s all I get, don’t my taxes pay their salaries? Why have we all been so conditioned to be submissive with these jerks? I didn’t even get an apology and I was refused when I asked their job titles be written down and given to me for documentation. Real stand up guys huh? Refused to properly identify themselves for me. What a bunch of malarkey
I hate writing reviews but this is just for the postal employee working on Wednesday October 13th at 6:30pm at the station to the right of the only other employee to read. Customer service is a job of helping people. Instead of projecting your insecurity on everyone and assuming that everyone thinks you don’t know how to do your job, try listening instead. People can surprise you. Also, a printed first class label on a priority box can work if the customer is willing to pay full priority shipping and stick the priority shipping label over the shipping barcode on the box. The printed name and address does not have to be changed or re-written. After your ridiculous attitude, I walked over to the USPS office on 44th Street and they were more than willing to listen and take my money for shipping. It took less than 30 seconds, shorter than it took for you to exhale in frustration while telling me you do this for a living and you know what you’re talking about. Well I post packages very frequently which is why I knew my method was sound and as it turns out….you actually did not know what you were talking about so your insecurities are on point: you’re terrible at customer service and should consider switching professions so you don’t continue to annoy people. Or maybe just listen next time instead of jumping down people’s throat. Food for thought.
I have a PO Box that was opened in January. It was a joint email paid for by and associate of mine, and I was told both of our names would be on the PO Box. He paid for the PO Box for 6 months. We were prompted to show both of our id, as per PO Box, I had my drivers license at the point of time and he, an older gentleman, showed his. We received 2 keys and I was given one by him. From January to the renewal date of the end of May 2021, I was receiving mail addressed to the PO Box however faced complications receiving mail based on the zip code using Street Mail addressing complimentary service for PO Box holders despite the public display of the Street Mail Addressing zip code, 149 East 23rd Street, [PO BOX], New York, NY 10010 versus the standard PO Box Address line, PO Box [PO Box number] New York NY 10159. I renewed the PO Box at the end of my myself after receiving the prompt however recently I nkticed that they closes the PO Box and I am unable to receive mail. I need for the Podt Office to honor my renewal and reactive my PO Box. The PO Box is for me, I do not know what their problem is. Is it because I am a youth? Regardless of how I look, I am polite, responsible and orderly.
I’ve had multiple experiences at this USPS location, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend it based on the consistently poor customer service I’ve encountered. The staff I’ve interacted with have often been impatient, unhelpful, and sometimes outright rude. This has created an environment that’s both stressful and unwelcoming. I believe customer service should be a priority for any business, and it’s disheartening to consistently encounter such attitudes. While this location is convenient for me, I’ve made the decision to find alternatives for my shipping needs due to the unpleasant experiences I’ve had here. It’s important to me to feel respected and valued as a customer, and I simply haven’t found that to be the case at this USPS branch. I hope my feedback can contribute to improvements in customer service at this location. It’s essential for businesses to understand how their interactions impact customers and strive for better experiences. I’ll be seeking out other USPS branches that prioritize respectful and courteous service moving forward.
This the second time I am leaving a review about this post office. I just want to make it clear I am only given two stars because it is not all the employees who are rude just this one in particular. This the second time I have an issue with her. The first time she let me wait for almost 2 hours to get a package because she could not manage to do both sides even though there was like 3 customers in the place that day and I was like the only 2 in the package area. Now today I’m trying to ask for information from her and she rudely reply’s back and walks away. It’s one thing when the customer is rude and gets it back but when you come in from night shift, say good morning and talk in a respectful manner you expect to be treated the same. Overall I’m fed up with going there. I’ll just see how I can get my packages deliver from some where else when ever possible or call ahead of time to have the post office just know I’m home and leave my package there. Thank you to the supervisor on duty who tried his best to help me.
was here to submit passport application, line was long, probably because it was a Saturday, I can't say about all the staff members but the lady that I had was not nice, impatient (keep in mind I had all my documents and photos ready, yet she treated me badly just because some other applicants were not fully prepared) I asked her what I could to do to transfer a 10 year visa in my old passport to the new one or if they could just mail me the old one with the new one because visas cost money and mine still had 8 years left. But due to her impatience and unprofessionalism, she demanded that I give her the passport (which she was holding in her hands already) to mail with the documents or just leave. She did so instead of answering a question with a simple "I don't know". Other than the attitude, the place and location is fine. There were other 2 ladies who seemed nicer so if you do decide to go here and you have questions, good luck.
Horrifying experience. I had a package that was supposed to be delivered on a Friday. At 6:00pm, the tracking was updated that the delivery address was not accessible- uh it is an apartment building with a doorman. So, the lazy person obviously lied. Then, even though the tracking said that delivery would happen the next day, it didn't. Monday afternoon, I started calling to track it down. Waited for 45 minutes on the phone for what must be a more central line...they told me the package is at this post office and I should call the post office. Good luck trying to get through- one time, I did get through because I called right at a time that the woman was trying to call someone herself- a personal call. She then put me on hold and deliberately hung up on me (I heard her say, I'm going to hang up). What an awful group of people. (AND, my package is still lost...)
Mail delivery is perfect, Package delivery is no longer being made to the apartment. No longer is the apartment notified that a package is being delivered; no package is being left at the door but they are being left in the lobby where they are being piled up where each resident must look through the pile of boxes to see if there is one or more for them and then schlep it up to their apartment. This is a recent development. In the past; lobby phones were used by the Parcel Post Mailman to tell the resident that there was a delivery for them and then the Mailman would bring the delivery to the apartment. After being admitted the Mailman after the first delivery he or she would bring other deliveries to each apartment ring the bell and if no one were home it would be left at the door or taken back to the Post Office.
I am beyond outraged with the USPS on 23rd Street! I ordered a $2100 camera that was supposed to be delivered and instead, the delivery person signed for it themselves with "D.P." and didn't even bother to show up at my doorstep. Despite my efforts to track the package and contact the mailmen, they were completely clueless and uninterested in helping. The missing package request was closed without any attempt to resolve the issue. The post office was a nightmare, with rude staff who couldn't be bothered to assist me. USPS lost my valuable package, and then to add insult to injury, showed utter disregard for their responsibilities. I am shocked and appalled by the incompetence and lack of accountability displayed by this location. I am left feeling completely helpless and depressed by this terrible experience.
Good people in person when i used to live there. Now that i have moved, i am experiencing how rude and unprofessional these people are over the phone. Never attend calls, when they do, they sound so uninterested to help you as if they are talking over a gun point. Once i got through and they attended my call, 2 representatives people put me on hold while i am giving my info and address. Interrupted me right in the middle of me talking and said please hold, and then other person picked it up, and did the exact same thing. Last person picked it up " she was like, who are you holding it for? , i am like i don't know, you should know". She helped me then, so credit to her, but the first 2 people, i dont know what they are on, and why are they working in public office.
I had to get my paperwork processed for a new passport, as old one expired years back. I had Rhonda, one of the staff there assist me, I must say she was so professional, assisted me to the max, so knowledgeable of all that was required, in order to get paperwork processed. It just makes me feel so good to get people like her to assist me, she was so courteous and friendly, and great attitude in performing her job. If I could rate her, on a scale of 1-10, she definitely gets a 10!!!!! Outstanding was she, when I went to the Madison Post Office on 23 Aug 2017., and had her assist me..... It was such a wonderful experience. All the staff there were so professional, courteous and very assistful, I wish my post office in Williamsburg. Brooklyn NY, was that way.
Horrible. This place really is every single stereotype for the horrors of a terrible post office. You may think the DMV is bad, but this place makes it look like a shining example of efficiency and politeness. 12 years and I have yet to have a positive interaction, or even an interaction that works the way it should - lost packages, mail that was never checked in or scanned, the most outrageously inept staff. The kind of experience you expect someone to jump out and say its all a prank. I kid not when I say I have literally considered moving apartments just so I never have to set foot in this space again. If you want to see a large number of grown adults LITTERALY weeping tears of frustration on an regular basis, this is the post office for you.
This is the most awesome United States Post Office I've ever been to. I would have never in a million years thought I'd use the word 'awesome' with 'Post Office' unless it followed with '- ly bad'. Plus #1: The line moves quickly! Plus #2: There's a super friendly clerk. And efficient. Perfect combination. Plus #3: They sell greeting cards! All post offices should do this. It should be standard. Plus #4: They have pens! Working pens! Plus #5: No bullet proof glass to shout through. It's so nice to not feel that you're in a maximum security prison when you go to mail a package, don't you think? Even though this is not my neighborhood post office, I think I may make a point to use this one in the future instead. It's worth it.
If I could give this less than a star I probably would. The eternal suffering experienced here is not unlike a purgatory. Why wait in line once when you can wait in line twice! Let's make a 10 min trip 40 mins long because, why not?! Don't we love being a pawn? Love to play the little man? Meanwhile, the big man who works for the USPS decides that to make us wait and wait and wait and wait and wait will give him the self sustaining life force he apparently needs. The ruder they are to you, the more they can suck your life right out of you! Twenty needlessly filled out forms later... suffice to say: stay away. This place and it's staff are for the birds.
This post office is a nightmare & unfortunately it's my local ! I don't believe customer service has ever been taught to these people they are rude and have a very bad attitude. But I do find most PO I go into have similar staff. I can I always use the automatic machines to mail so I don't have to interact with the staff. There are a couple of people who have been ok but the woman whose usually on the pick-up point is particularly bad. And I keep getting pink slips for final notice when I haven't received the first two so HAVE to go collect. I do have to note that our actual post man who delivers our mail each day is fabulous and most helpful!
This is by far the worst location I have ever visited. The place is so out dated and the employees are terrible. They lose packages and treat custoners like they did something wrong. The supervisor running the shift today was the worst. Every customer that went to retrieve there package was sent out of there with out it. I was lucky to get mines after being demanding why must you be this way for a simple pickup they truly need a whole new staff and system starting from management on down. The lady doing passports stopped her line to come ask if someone else was alright like her assistance was needed. Come on @usps get this right
Completely unethical. Shipped out a simple Father’s Day card and envelope and was told to pick out a different, more expensive mail envelope to cover my simple card envelope. Picked up the envelope and had to rewait in line. Upon arrival, my dad received the card bent, the card envelope (that it came with and I drew on) completely missing, and the packaging they made me pay extra for was torn open as if looking to steal a potential gift card. This was an incredibly upsetting experience and just wrong. What kind of USPS employee attempts to steal from a Father’s Day card? I do not recommend this location for ethical reasons.
All staff is really friendly, nice and helpful. THIS ONE STAR IS ONLY FOR MR. LLOYD. The laziest guy in their team, rude and unhelpful. If he doesn’t know something he just kicks you out to another window and he doesn’t care that you don’t have time to wait again in line or you already moved your stuff on his desk. I go to this post office every day because I need to ship my business stuff. If I am served by him it is a disaster: it is super slow service with very uncomfortable atmosphere. Mr Lloyd, if you don’t like your job, if you feel tired - just leave. You spoil amazing job of your colleges
I wonder if there is any way to give a negative star, but what good does it do? USPS is essentially monopoly. Evan if we dislike their services we still need to pick up our mails here.... in order to avoid rush hour I took off work to come. There are only 2 people in line, but the employee at the pick up window is no where to be seen for over 30 minutes. When I wanted to speak to a supervisor, everyone pushes the responsibility to other people, but still, no one came after another half hour. So this is where our tax money goes? Is there anything we can do about these agencies such as DMV, USPS?
After finally reaching my apartment, they leave a note of 'could not deliver your small parcel' within the large, empty mailbox within the secure lobby and then never try again. When I try to reschedule the delivery on their website, it won't let me. When I try to 'verify my identity,' after answering all of their obvious questions, it says "Your identity could not be verified, please try again in 72 hours." Ridiculous! Who are they to tell me that I am not who I am after I prove it with my answers? Not only that, but they leave the parcel at the USPS furthest from my apartment. Unacceptable.
I never write reviews but I also have never experienced someone as rude as one of the employees here. When he got annoyed and very rudely raised his voice at me (for no real reason other than I, in a normal tone, told him that the place I was making a return from said USPS could print the label and he said no), I responded that I had not raised my voice nor was I being rude to him so his tone was uncalled for. As i was trying to get more information, he yelled again that I was distracting him from helping someone else by standing at the counter and should move. Absolutely ridiculous.
Waited almost thirty minutes in line for the guest in front of me to get their package. (Which they didn’t). Then waited another 30 minutes while they look for my package, just so they could come back to the window and say they couldn’t find my package because it “wasn’t at that post office”. I showed them my tracking number and message showing it was there ready for pick up and all they did was stand there and replied with “ahhh our supervisor will be calling you when we find your package”. Very terrible experience and a waste of an hour for a package I didn’t even get.
By far the worst customer service I ever had. I had a transaction with USPS online and no one want to help. I got USPS online on the phone and no one from this post office wanted to talk to the main office. They even ignored the phone call from the main office when they tried calling them about the online transaction. I ended up calling the credit card company and canceled the purchase for the service I did online. That was more then two years ago and never stepped into this post office.... Garbage people/attitude in this place! USE A DIFFERENT POST OFFICE!
US Poster service is a mess. First, I ask the rep with pimples all over her face to put my package, which is a wedding ring worth more than $500, in express and she put it in local - May that pimples in her face never get cure. Secondly, the package has not arrive since the past 3 months and I want to file a claim, but when I called post office they told me the shipping method she used does not come with claim. So my package is gone I asked? They said, unfortunately, if it is stolen or loss it is. Take my middle finger.
I love this post office! I am zoned for E 34th St, but the workers there hate their jobs and it shows - plus, this office is so much closer to me: go figure! This post office is in a big space which is kept tidy, with a booth for passport services; postal needs (i.e. tape, padded envelopes) sold there, along with cards and gift cards. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. I am always happy with the amount of wait time (generally very short). I highly recommend this for all postal services.
The clerks who helped me were actually very kind and helpful even though I thought it was going to be a bad experience, seeing these reviews before going. The line was long, definitely, but it wasnt the clerks-- the customers had ZERO clue as to how to mail a package. The clerk who helped me was very kind and didn't have any sign of being a burnout even when having to help a whole line of people ahead of me- not to mention an entire day's worth of people. That's good service in my opinion.
I sent a certified package from this office Which didn't arrive in expected time, I checked status of my package online by myself but system didn't work. And I asked supervisor to check status of package and she gave me 800 # to call but even that number didn't work with my tracking # .I told her (supervisor) "I need your help", she answered me "DO NOT CALL ME NO MORE, I GAVE YOU NUMBER" I was shocked. Never have seen that kind of clerk, very rude, disgusting, was a nightmare.
"Mrs Smith" might be one of the laziest incompetent people I've ever met. She refused to get off her chair to retrieve my package that wasn't delivered the day before, citing the fact that the elevator was broken and she didn't want to have to walk to get it. I went back later that day, and I heard over the speakers "please send the elevator down" - so the elevator was NOT broken- She just didn't want to have to get up. Avoid having Mrs. Smith help you if possible
this was the worst Post Office that I've been too. I made an appointment online and they told me that I was lying and I had the proof to show them. they were very disrespectful and they never wined up helping me out at all. the lady that does the passports in the post office was very racist, disrespectful and refused to listen to me and she said she will not take care of me at all no matter what. even though there was nobody else on line.
Passport Renewal: Highly recommend getting your passport renewed here. Personnel were all very nice and super helpful. I had completed the form via the online tool in advance to save time. They have a dedicated passport window and can handle the paperwork, photo and submission with tracking. I was in the post office for under 15-minutes total, and received my passport within 10 days even though they told me it could take up to 3-4 weeks.
They don't even deserve 1star no one at this post office is trying to work at 9:30am I would investigate the entire staff not even a manager would help when asked for one i asked them for a simple pen to write with they said that they didn't have one to lend me this post office should be closed down period and staff fired they're very unprofessional if people don't want to work then they should quit not take it out on the customers
Worst Worst Customer Service And Delivery Person didn't even come to my business and took the package back and said bussiness was closed in fact we My bussiness was open since morning and didn't close till 8 pm he or she wrote on tracking information that they tried to deliver but bussiness was close at 5.02 pm. It was very urgent package and spent a lot for overnight shipping and they did horrible job on it. Very frustrated
Went to go pick up a package that couldn't be delivered for some reason. Honestly, I wouldn't be mad if they had told me: "We can't find your package right now. Would you mind coming back tomorrow?" But, no. They said "Wait here, we'll check upstairs." And then I waited. Five minutes became a dozen. A dozen became an hour. Winter came and went. Years passed. Presumably they couldn't find my package. They never came back.
First time here because I never received my package which was supposedly "delivered". I had to come here because my local post office (East Village) told me, I called at first, no answer so I showed up. The people that work here look so miserable and don't want to work. I pray that it was just lost and that no one from my building stole it! The only thing I can say is the front desk worker was very nice.
Employees are unnecessarily rude and have an attitude when you ask questions. They also have their headphones in the entire interaction, making the entire experience feel insincere. While this is not the case with every employee, as I’ve been to this location several times, I think they need to teach their employees customer service skills as it’s apparent they don’t have it.
it was not crowded at all when i was there (around 12) and the worker there helped me drop off my delivery package (there were 2 working windows). I thought i wrote the wrong zip code but he kindly informed me that the last few digits didn’t matter and that the actual zip code is what they used to deliver packages. very quick process, i was in and out in less than 5 minutes!
What can I say, maybe if they could do something like Boost The Employees Moral we Could Possibly Get Better Service. But then that's Any Job where an Disgruntled Employee Is Providing a Service To The Public, we as the public/ customer get the Blunt Of Their Frustrations ( Did I say that right, maybe I should have left the Blunt out...still doesn't sound right ).
Went to apply in-person for my son's passport, along with my husband: two and a half hours of waiting, the baby screaming, me almost crying and my husband shaking from stress. The attitude and the intentional slowness of the person working at the passport window is hard to imagine or explain. I hope their jobs get replaced by AI machines and robots. Never again!!
Not even worth a star! I called because I have an issue with a package. I am trying to locate it. And make sure it's physically there. Of course, the person who got on the phone was speaking to me very rude and talking over me then she put me on hold and hung up on me. And this was after days of calling and finally getting someone on the phone in the first place.
Never receive my packages, it's happened twice now in the last month. Not to mention the AWFUL mail carrier, who gives us a shake down for a christmas tip. Almost seems like he is threatening us, making me think he will do something sinister with my mail. I've never been more upset with the Post Officer, or a carrier. I'm disgusted and headed there today.
I go to this post office on a regular basis and I can say it is always a bad experience. Rude, slow, inefficient people. No one seems at all interested in helping anyone. The machines are frequently busy, the phone is busy so you can not even get through to ask questions, and if you need to pick up a package that you got a slip for.....just forget it.
I don't even live in the neighborhood but I take the train just to come to this location everytime. Nieves is so funny and nice! I've never had an issue with any of the other workers here compared to the USPS workers in the 14th St and Cooper Sq locations this place is great. They're also open way later than other post offices which comes in clutch!
Revolting! I feel this post office is staffed with parasites of the society that take advantage of the antiquated laws to insult hard working tax payers and waste their time that could be spent on advancing economy. I can't wait for all of their services to be transitioned online so they and their attitudes become a thing of the benighted past.
Made an appointment for passport online a couple days before, and got served at the expected time today. Excellent service. The application needs to be filled out with black ink only, and blue ink won’t be accepted. The current processing time is 2-3 months. One week after receiving passport, your support document should also arrive by mail.
This location has some of the friendliest staff in the city. I've visited many USPS sites in search of the best customer experience, and this remains a leader on my list. The commute here is lengthy, but that's offset by how I'm treated. If you don't fully understand an aspect of shipping or customs exporting, everything gets explained.
The United States Postal Service needs to be revamped. Late last month l mailed a certified letter to Long Island City Ny. My letter ended up in a small town in Sacramento California who's nick name is Long Island City, SMH. I will try my best to avoid dealing with usps. 3 stars only because the letter finally was delivered 2wks later.
Large USPS office with self checkout booths and 9 counters for quicker service. They have mailboxes at this location and act as a center where you can apply and get your passport. The staff were courteous and helpful. They also sell birthday cards and gift cards of multiple companies such as MasterCard, ebay, Bestbuy, AMC etc.
Terribly unhelpful in everything and stuck in the 1980s. I had to go to FedEx to print off a USPS shipping label. Also, apparently I was supposed to go back home to tape it on, too. They made me buy an entire roll of packing tape to tape one, small box. Avoid them if at all possible. Everything must be completely spoon-fed.
Very strange all the negative reviews...I had a positive experience. The staff were helpful to me and others on line while we waited. Of course there was a moderate wait time but it’s one of the few places in NYC that do so I suppose people aren’t used to milling about waiting. I certainly wasn’t a fan but understandable.
This is my local post office. I've come a few times and they're always quick and efficient and kind. Today I needed to buy tape to affix a label. It kind of sucked cause I only needed a few pieces but I've used donated tape in the past so I donated the rest of the roll back. So if you need tape - you have one roll …
thank you for helping me out to prepare and send my package even though it was 30 minutes after closing time. I went there all the way from Brooklyn because this place doesn't have stupid windows with intercoms in it. Great service and polite staff which is rare for post offices. But don't forget to bring your own tape
they answered their phone after 10 rings. they then put me on hold for 20 mts, when i asked to speak for an expert in int's shipping. when i called, on another line, to try to get someone, phone was busy.. no. is always busy, or no ansr!! i m sorry, but, this is not good service. lines are always very long, as well!!
I find it extremely odd that this location can't offer the most basic of services such as adhering a pre-printed shipping label to your package, or even providing you with tape to at least do it yourself when every other post office I've been to has done that automatically for me without me needing to ask.
Ridiculously long wait for passports--almost 20+ mins per person. They are helpful by filling out the paperwork with people but it is at the expense of other customers. The main counter is pretty fast and the staff is generally nice, but the fact that they are constantly short staffed delays things often.
Went to return a cable box to AT&T. Prepaid box just had to drop it off. Even got a ‘receipt’ Turns out dude gave me a fake receipt and AT&T says it was never returned. I handed this DIRECTLY to a USPS person. He even said oh it’s a cable box. You should take a receipt. SMH. Can’t trust anyone these days.
My package was labeled as "undeliverable" although the mailing address is correct and someone was home waiting for the mail. I was putting on hold for more than 2 hours when I called them to check the status of the package. Finally, someone in the post office hanged up the phone without any answer.
I sent a few packages of holiday chocolate from this location last week because I work around the corner and it seemed convenient. They all arrived with rat bites and holes. I have never had this problem at my local post office. There is clearly a rat infestation...won't go back to this branch.
We had an appointment for 1:15pm for a passport and they just decided to be out for lunch with a sign that said “back in 45 min”, yet no time stamp so we had no idea when they would be back. They didn’t show up for ever - absolute No regard for the appointment. Worst customer service ever.
I live all the way in Brooklyn. Let me tell you every single one is HORRIBLE! They are rude & don't want to help you at all. I come here ALL the time to have my mail, 's and for the first time a money order here. They have ALWAYS been kind and helpful to me. I'm so for them. …
Good clerks, but i always drop off prepaid packages and have to wait on long line. People solving problems, picking up packages, arguing, and i am waiting to just drop off and that is it. This is the only post office that has no dedicated window for prepaid pachage drop off. Useless
This place is like an Amtrak bus terminal. Filthy, long lines, no pens and most (not all) employees don't really seem to care. The place feels more like a run-down mausoleum than a place of business. Careful with the smoking deadbeats loitering in the front entrance...
Really nice staff, I come here about twice a week and most of the staff is nice with an exception or two. Nelson helped me today and he was speedy and had a great attitude. Sometimes the line gets busy towards the end of the day, so I try to head there in the morning.
Rude and not helpful. I had prepaid shipping and no one could take my package, nor was there a place to drop it off to be mailed. What in the actual fek do you get paid for if it’s not to handle mail? Disaster. Do not go, it’s worth it to pay extra for Fedex.
The man over the phone was rude! I got the run around all week and my package was delivered to the wrong address. But the man who delivered the pack was nice, but doesn't weigh out my bad experience. They need to have more respect when speaking to customers.
The attitude of some of the workers here is so uppity and confrontational. They seem to forget they are public servants. Also, I was told there was no manager working on a Saturday. Workers who are poorly trained should never be left alone without a manager.
Never had such a bad experience IN MY WHOLE LIFE. Entered the post office on Saturday and it was my first time to use usps mailing service. The staff was really impatient, rude, and literally shouted at me. If you have any other choice, please don't go.
Not only does the mailman never ring for us to go down to get our packages, and my husband works from home, so he is home everyday, but when you come the post office MOST of the ppl have such a NASTY attitude. Like it’s your fault they work there.
The woman in the passport kiosk informed me, with attitude, "I'm NOT answering your question." I had waited patiently for fifteen minutes. If she can't handle the job, why is she there? Totally unacceptable. I still don't know the answer.
If you want to not only experience under trained staff led by incredibly poor management but experience incredibly rude and condescending managers, then definitely come here. Would recommend a different branch to try to open a PO Box.
The mail person will not deliver anything he cannot shove into a mailbox, thus leaving me to find someone to pick up the mail due to I am home bound. There is not way the mail is undeliverable when we have people at the front desk.
Employees such as Ms. Hunter, Carol, and Rhonda have made my post office experiences very pleasant. They are very professional and knowledgeable. No item is too large and no need is too small for them to handle effectively.
Walking into this post office is like walking into the 1950s. It’s a beautiful yet brutal relic of the past. No line and fast service. There are self checkout machines as well. Great vibes. Also open until 7 which is DOPE!!
I didn't have to wait at all around lunchtime on a weekday and the person who helped me took me through my options very clearly. If you do find a line and there's no one using the machines, they are quick and easy to use.
I would not give even a star for the poor quality of service I recieved today. I needed feedback regarding my lost package and did not recieve any help. The lady in package tracking point was extremely unpleasant
Large sign that says go to Window 1 for money orders. Wait on the long line and they dont(or that person) doesn't know how to do money orders. Go back and wait on the main line again.... Life of using USPS
I waited in line for 45 minutes for my passport and there were only 2 people in front of me. The lady processing at the desk was rude and seemed so miserable. Save your time and go somewhere else...
NOT handicapped accessible. Must climb up stairs plus push a heavy door. There are about 5 service windows but usually no more than 2 staff on hand. Looks like a store that's going out of business!
The line can be long but I now go non-peak hours so it really hasn't been an issue for me. The postal workers are incredibly professional, efficient and kind. They make the experience a pleasure.
(female) staff at this post office are unprofessional and rude . no pen are given at counters . and when ask for the attitude is outright and disgusting. no star should be given
They lose packages and employees treat customers like they did something wrong. They really need a better and more up-to-date system. Hopefully these situations no longer happen
Busy! There should be more operators...waited 45 min. On line. Please. Do not blame it on The pandemic. Everyone kept their distance. Everyone had a mask...what's their snswer?
Lady who helped me was proactive and helpful. Even ran off to get some extra tape when she spotted mine wasn’t secure enough. Line wasn’t the shortest but went quickly enough.
This location has more packing supplies than other post offices I visited. The lines are not too long but still have to wait a while because there is only one person working.
Was using their passport service.. it took them 4 hours exactly to process 7 people.. hmmm .. bring food, water and a chair.. if you plan to get there Sat at lunch time..
The longest I've waited is 15 minutes and this is if I get there by 5pm. The staff is generally helpful , but the white guy with the thick black glasses is the best.
Beautiful post office constructed in 1937. The interior is amazing. The murals on the interior were executed between 1937 and 1939 by Kindred McLeary (1901-1949).
The incompetence is just amazing. Had to go there for the second time and they don't disappoint - the people that suppose to give service just didn't show up
Visited on Saturday just before closing time. A staff standing in front of the counter kindly solve mailing problems.
Can get busy and short with you ... but, hey, it's New York, even the street people don't have time for dawdlers.
Friendly staff, fast service, has every service you could need
