I'm visiting with my friend for advance private business. So... We have a lot of problems at Wood Green Library being called... There is printer is not working and out of range papers they comes! So, my friend is very anxious about the printer being out of range today. I've been there in such things at 5 attempts times of day! How I am embarrassed to get things to do today?! I'm asked the staff, we're complaining about business gone the way so poor conditions things to do here! I cannot be understanding, why posed be to getting fixing up with it today. There is still no printer and top-up machine still not working. I cannot expect be to handover it is! No high standard business to staffs, no checks printer actuves equipment, no elevator safety checks, no checks top-up machine checks, no checks computer network system and mostly equipments. What happen to open the door, to run furquesy in business right now? It's not good start with this Wood Green Library business up to it properly isn't. We're here to visit to create on computer work with private business today. There is no collect printer to handed. What a big embarrassment it is! We're not returning here again, staffs are not to wake up to running business to checking everything doing first before opening as fully normal. What a shame, what expect to waste lack of your business to passion checking things out to it is! What I've lost for words!

Look at the previous reviews and see that: 1) They cannot be asked to respond to any form of criticism or any reviews. 2) Nothing gets done to improve the things people are most concerned with. 3) It is not really fir for purpose. I concur with the reviews that shine a negative light over this service but it is well deserved. The toilets are horrendous, totally disgusting and unhygienic. The counter service is slow, inadequate and are not really helpful when machines are down or cards don't work The book selection is abysmal and study books are far and few between. The soft chairs look like they have been brought in from a flood drenched tip that was also neglected for 100 years. You could save a bit if money, if that is one factor, by getting rid of the security there. I would love a job of sitting on the stool inside the entrance playing in my phone all day. What a great job, getting paid to text your chums and watch YouTube videos. It's not a great reading environment and noisy people are allowed to be noisy, I suppose it would distract the security from playing on their phone if they really had to sort people out and walk around checking all is well I use a library in the city now as the local one is not fit for purpose any longer.

A very big library very close to Wood Green Station - actually, a walking distance. Next to lots of amenities, restaurants, superstores, malls etc. Quiet inside - not disturbed by the outside busy roads. Very kind, friendly and helpful staff. Has printing facilities, toilets , large lifts and stairways with a paid parking space behind the library. Haringey uses part of the ground floor on week days for its customer service. Has a youth library and adult learning classes on the second floor. Has a sizeable computer room, private reading room and a children's library on the first floor. On the ground floor, it has rows of books in one side, quiet areas to read, side room (Business Lounge) for private event which I've used to host a Women's History Month Talk. The business lounge has computers, white boards, white screen for projectors as can be seen in the pictures. It can fit upto 25 people I believe. It also has a large space on the ground floor which can be booked for events like exhibitions or launching or talks. I've also used this space for my book signing events as can also be seen in the picture.

I've been in many years to good to the library... But now, sadly is being changed to different type of this selection into the library... Anyway, I was being visit the library to be quick on computer work in few minutes... There are new change screen accounts upgraded. But, unfortunately, there was a problem connect print to create them work... Hasn't worked does get them on it, there is no show on the green box of balance to find! :( There is no customer centre office upstairs on the first floor. A lot of people who was trying to be calls. Is no longer to asked to need some help to fixing in green box on the balance before starting goes to! What's so disappointed is, no-one help the customer centre at the first floor. I was two attempts time to get by eBay collect print today. There is my eBay is click & collect expires at 18th April! I can't wait to need to be asked to fixing this on the computer to create a green box on it the balance it, before starting to print it out quickly. Now, no staff upstairs at the first floor, hm?!!... What's sad to run down now... No help at all, huh!!

The toilets are of subhuman standards, FIX UP HARINGAY COUNCIL! EVEN THOUGH THEY WORK DOWNSTAIRS NO ONE SEEMS TO ADDRESS THIS. how are the elderly, disabled or young children able to access these toilets - disabled toilets are locked, female and mens toilets are absolutely disgusting i had to hold in my pee and it puts me off the library when i sat on the coaches on the ground floor i got a rash, this is how filfthy this place is its really unfair why are us ethnic minorties getting the worst libraries if this was a highly populated white middle class area the library toilets would be clean! do the children of harringay not matter? youre not promoting life long learning your just giving us awful places this is dirty if i took a photo today i would want to but im too disgusted to go back to those toilets WE DESERVE BETTER HARRINGAY HEAT THE LIBRARY UP, CLEAN THE DTOILETS, RENEW THE BEDBUGGED FURNITURES AND REPLACE IT WITH WOODEN SURFACES SO ITS CLEANER

Only gave 1 star because I couldn't leave no stars. Staff here, if you can find any, are rude and unhelpful. Eg, in children's library the person on the check out desk was on a private phone call, she was discussing going to a party, the conversation continued the whole time she was checking out my books. Barely looked at me. Same person on another occasion was eating at the desk whilst checking out books. Then after getting the books out of the Children's library you have to go to the main desk to get the book alarms deactivated. It was lunch time and the library was really busy but there was no one serving on the main desk so I had to wait. Eventually a person very slowly approached the desk to deactivate the books. Needless to say there was no apology for keeping me waiting. Come on Wood Green Library surely you can do better than this, sort out your below average staff.

I love libraries so it's a shame to give a one star but this library has really rude staff, small selection of books, and the entrance area is always full of questionable looking people, creating an uncomfortable and unsafe feel. For the selection issue, it is possible to request a book but I've done it and some books took over 3 months to be available. For the crowds of people outside, i think increased security would help. There are computers in the second floor and expensive printing services (i think 50p to £1 per page depending on b&w or color) but i have never used it due to the cost and inconvenience. Anyway, i hope the council invests more money or support to this library to improve it to meet it's potential!

Very big disappointment and waste of time visit there. I wish to do some work with computer on the first floor. He told me, have you've been booked computer? I said, No, I have a member library card for use 20mins on computer work to do. He says to me, I'm sorry, we're fully booked on the computer. How come to visiting here everyday, not goes thoughit computer reopening it?! Is still closed or something dong there "fully booking computer", I don't know such things why still fully booked computer access not goes to! Sadly, I have to ripoff this... I don't return again. I just absolutely pathetic!

  • Jamila

Been waiting here for over two hours just to get a parking permit. Even though half the people are here for parking permits they only put one person to deal with it. When you tell them that you had to wait two hours they say ‘nothing we can do about that’. Everybody in the queues were angry and upset. They didn’t open another desk even though the parking permit queue became 20 people long. When I arrived the ticket number was on 245 and it took 1 hour just for the screen to get to 246. It literally takes 5 minutes to pay for your tickets so I have no idea what the staff are doing!

This library is definitely on the more traditional side but it is very spacious. The books are well maintained and organized. The staff are friendly and the library is clean. I alway grab a book and go onto the first floor where I can enjoy reading in the quiet section. You can also study here as the chairs are comfortable, the library is warm and there are clean toilets. There is also a kids section which is very welcoming and colourful. I like the environment in this library and the location is not bad. Its a good place to just get lost in reading.

  • ny

I would give them more, but i feel like they don't deserve anymore, since when i tried to return my book at the front desk, they refused to talke it, and said i had to use self checkout. But now they have lost the book, and are charging me for the book they lost, because they leave the freshly returned books (easy to access) and right next to the exit. The annoying part of this, is that i returned it, a month ago so i dont even have the recipt cause i didnt realise they were charging me.

  • Keerthi Mukku

I never leave reviews but I think this will be useful for the next person trying to get their parking permits sorted. Customer service people are friendly but the process is too long! It takes two hours for them to process my visitor permit application and THEN collect them the next day! My suggestion would be to go to Marcus Garvey library instead, if you can. Service was miles better and it only took me half an hour to including the waiting time to be called.

  • Mesh

It is true. This is by far the worse library ever. Don't come here to study- there are hooligans here with loud deafening music which apparently is acceptable for the quiet study zone. Library is a shambles. Staff are lazy. And security guards are half asleep and never doing their jobs- they should monitor the quiet study areas more closely.. rather than people erupting into verbals because that's what happens here. Bloody joke.

  • Asma Mohymen

My local library. Still under construction. Half the area on the ground floor has veen taken over by Haringey council's customer service due to Station Road building being under construction. Due to lack of space a lot of things has been limited and I miss the old library and its set up. New system to print has been introduced and I love it. It has made printing so easy and saves time.

  • Turts Mama

The security guard is rude and shouted at me today. He's very strange. I simply asked him if the library was open yet. I get it not everyone's a morning person but have some manners. Also the toilets are very very dirty. Need to fix up. With pee all over the floor. Although the study area is quiet in comparison to others in haringey. I can actually get work done!

  • Ali Naseri

I waited 2 hours just to get a visitor parking permit. Very slow service. When you ask for information they get moody, and then referring you to internet. Not sure if they have no idea about their job or they are impatient. The whole library need to refurbish specially the service ( toilet)area is very dirty. The atmosphere generally is depressing.

  • Diarmuid Barry

Nice building, was refurbished not long ago. Large selection of books. Also a bank of computers, some different study areas and a play area. Often really busy, especially at weekends. Often people talking really loudly, but this is due to inconsiderate library users and not a fault of the library itself. Staff are usually generally friendly.

First time to this Customer Services - what a horrid experience. I have never met such insolent, arrogant, utter disgusting behaviour from a Security Guard there. Accused customer of jumping the queue when he had no evidence, just jumping to conclusion, I have seen better manners from animals.

  • A P

I have waited in the parking permit office nearly 3 hours as they only put one person to deal with this department and every one who was waiting was only waiting for parking. I don’t understand the logic behind that why don’t they open two or three desk to deal with parking.

  • Marios Kareclas (Marios)

Went there early wednesday morning to get a replacement blue badge and parking permits. The two members of staff that served me (Munever and Yassin) were very helpful and friendly. I arrived at 10am and left at 10:25am, fast and efficient service.

The library is a great place to go and study with a lot of resources at hand. You can print and photocopy in colour, black and white and double sided! There is usually always a computer to access, even if for only 20 minutes.

SOS ..Without the residents there is no borough of Haringey, the citizens need help, the responsible Borough of Haringey does not want the good of the citizens. We are not in good health and the owners are threatening us. SOS

  • Anouk

Great library, use printing service, borrow books and DVDs (small fee for dvds). Has a great childrens area. Library staff are very helpful. Haven't used the Haringey Council service here so can't comment on that part.

  • Rajeev Sivadasan

Didn't actually use the library as such. Went to Haringey Learns, which is based within the library on the 2nd floor. They offer plenty of courses for unemployed people who want to either update or learn new skills.

  • PyME Competitividad

Muy completa, libros, cd’s de música y dvd películas todo muy interesante y sin ningún costo, solo basta registrarse y ser cumplidos en la entrega de préstamos de libros. Muy buena opción para una tarde cultural.

  • Kayy

Good library with a wide range of facilities, I especially enjoy using the quiet study space upstairs, the desks and chairs are comfortable enough to bring your laptop and do some work for long hours.

  • Karen George (Kazz Gee)

I didn't use the library today, but unfortunately, I went to use Haringey Council facilities to purchase parking vouchers. What I did see was a helpful eoman on the front desk assisting customers.

  • Leonor C.

Staff was helpful and nice. Not the widest selection of books, but they have a children's reading area as well as a study area. If you get a library card you can use their computers and printers.
