Me and my friends came here for my friends 21st birthday no problems at all and enjoyed it quite a bit. Came here again after recommending it to a friend and the same bartender that served us on the night of my friends 21st, took my friends LEGAL government issued I.D. looked at it for at least 2 minutes and said “sorry I’m not taking that I can’t serve you guys” and wouldn’t even look at the rest of our I.D.s. Don’t waste your time coming here if you’re younger. Clearly they don’t want your business.
This is one of those hidden gem dive bars, cash only bar as a heads up. They have a pool table, dart board and digital jukebox. What they are known for are their mini beer shots. An italian liquor with a vanilla creme. And as of recently a new chocolate mini beer shot.

Came in around 1 am for a finisher drink the night prior. Not only is it a block away from where I'm staying, but this bar has such a homey, small-town feel that you can't get anywhere else in town. From my understanding it's ran by and older couple and they're the bartenders. It's awesome to see someone take so much pride and happiness in their work. It is a Cash Only bar; Dont let that be the reason to skip out.
We stopped in here for a Bachlorette party. Our first bartender was nice and the patrons were great but an older lady came in to take over bartending and was completely rude. She was yelling at regulars and treating us like an inconvenience for being paying customers in the bar. We were had a pretty good experience prior to her coming in but with how she started treating us we left and probably won’t come back.
I have to give my fair assessment here- I’ve been here 15+ times and there is always an issue here. ATM Doesnt work, closes early for unknown reasons, off/ on about serving people in general. I know the location is great, but I’ve always had to leave very close to arriving here for reasons listed above… just kinda strange ♀️ …
I would make this a 4 star rating, possibly 5, were it not such a small establishment. The seating area is thin and there is only room for one pool table and dart board. Meaning you have to win or come in a large group if you want to use the tables. Staff is friendly and prices weren't bad, even during peak weekend hours.
Make sure to bring cash. I love this bar for the fun and quirky nature it has. There is a genuine feel from the bar tenders that they want you to have fun. They aren't pushy or annoyed when the crowd shows up. They are very kind and patient with guest which is refreshing in a bar setting.
A dive bar. Surly service from the bartender. Prices are slightly high for a dive bar. Cash only. They do have an ATM on site. There is a pool table. Small amount of seating inside. Bathrooms stink and could use deodorizes. A decent selection of beer and mixed drinks.
The bar tender who was in the teal shirt tonight was incredibly rude and claimed we didn’t tip although we did multiple times. We only didn’t tip once when we didn’t have extra cash and she threw a fit and would no longer serve us. Don’t go to this bar!
Great bar! We were in from out of town, and the bartenders were friendly and fun. They get lots of regulars who come in all the time, and as they told me "Everyone is family here. And if you're new, you're family too!" Very relaxed and cozy.
Absolutely horrible service. The bartender with her dog was very dismissive as I went to close my tab, she rudely replied it was a cash only bar. She should have been informing upfront before taking drink orders, that's part of providing
BEST DIVE BAR. Need a place to go in the middle of the week with a big group? This place fits the bill. Need the memory of holding a can or bottle of your favorite beer from college. That may come true too. Just make sure you have cash.
Great little bar, pool table, juke box, friendly staff and the regulars there were all welcoming. I would recommend ordering the 'mini beer' shots, very nice indeed! Cash only, but they do have an ATM inside. Had a great few hours there.
Classic Dive Bar. If it still had a pay phone, I'd grant 5 stars. Graffiti, all makes & models of people are welcome. Jute box, pool tables and no nonsense barkeepers. A youth hostel-old school vive. Bring your own food. Settle in.
Probably the most inattentive bar I have ever come across! Definitely would not recommend to anybody had to wait so long to even get a refill. The bartender was more interested talking to her friend then doing her job …
Stopped in for a quick drink after lunch and Marilyn was quick to greet us like we had come there for years! Great little bar with a neighborhood vibe!

Love this place! Enjoy the marker covered everything...walls, bar, tables, and ceiling. You won't break the bank drinking here. Bring cash. They don't like those plastic things....

Really cool little dive. Obviously a locals joint, but that being said, the regulars make newcomers like myself and hubby feel welcome. Didn't catch the bartender's name, but she was lovely. Try the mini beer! Delish
The only spot I'm aware of in KC that still serves Stag beer. This is a cozy lovely dive that presents Kansas City's best asset first; it's people. You can't help but rub shoulders with us. Cheers! …
Close-knit experience. You feel like family right when you walk in. Know what you like at the minimum and the staff will take it from there. If you want to feel at home, this is the place to go.
Best Bar in the Power & Light District... and has been there for decades before there was such a District...

Great drinks! Sadly cash only, but also there’s an ATM machine in the building so it does not actually pose as a real deterring factor. You need coins to play pool, fyi.
Definitely Izuzu had a wonderful time met some really fantastic Viggo Phil David just too many to remember will definitely return next time I cross the river
Fun no frills dive, cash only but there is an ATM on site with a 2.99 fee. Friendly patrons and attentive bartender, will visit again when I’m back in town!
Service just sucked. Nice atmosphere, couldn't get a second drink even after tipping 100% the first round. I love dives, ut this one is a hard NO!
Politically correct atmosphere. Someone said my friend was “offensive” simply because they didn’t like him and kicked him out over hearsay.
Historic local dive bar in downtown KC. Cash only. Has an ATM. Great prices. Get the "mini beer" shots.
Cash only bar and a wonderfully dive atmosphere. Hidden gem for those who think P&L is too corporate...
Cool dive bar Get the mini beer shots!!
