I recently visited this wonderful puppet museum and shop, and I am beyond grateful for the incredible experience I had. From the moment I entered, the owner greeted me with such warmth and enthusiasm, making me instantly feel at home. He shared with me that creating these puppets is a team effort, involving over 10 talented individuals, each responsible for a specific step in the process. It's truly remarkable to witness the dedication and passion that goes into every puppet. The craftsmanship displayed in this place is truly exceptional. Not only are the puppets stunning in their style and shapes, but they also hold a rich history of puppet making. As I explored the museum, I couldn't help but marvel at the intricacies of each puppet head, which is meticulously handcrafted from a unique mixture of paper and flour water, then carefully nailed together. It's a blend of artistry and technique that truly sets these puppets apart. This museum is a treasure trove of puppet theatre history, particularly focused on the art of puppetry in Uzbekistan. It's not just a place to admire the puppets, but also an opportunity to learn about their purpose and significance throughout the centuries. The performances that take place here are truly captivating, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the world of these enchanting characters. The passion and dedication of the puppet museum's creator and his team is nothing short of inspiring. This place has been delighting both locals and tourists for over 20 years, offering free entry to all. However, you also have the option to support their work by purchasing a small puppet, which truly showcases the meticulous craftsmanship behind their creation. It is truly awe-inspiring to witness the beauty that comes from people who create such masterpieces. Every puppet here is a testament to the incredible handiwork and attention to detail. The atmosphere is filled with vibrant colors and a sense of wonder that stays with you long after you've left. I highly recommend visiting this outstanding puppet museum and workshop, especially if you have children. The puppets made here have been handed down from generation to generation, preserving the secrets of their creation. It's a place where history comes alive, where you can immerse yourself in the charm and culture of Uzbekistan through these magical puppets. This is not just a museum; it's an entire world encapsulated within its walls. The puppet master behind this incredible establishment has truly captured the spirit and emotions of Bukhara, its people, its culture, and its history through these intricately crafted puppets. I couldn't resist leaving a donation to support the further development of this museum and buying the great puppets which complete my room today, as a memory about Uzbekistan. In conclusion, this shop is an absolute gem. You can even take a piece of their artistry home with you, as they offer these fantastic papier-mâché puppets for sale at an affordable price. Whether you're a puppet enthusiast, a lover of history, or simply looking for a unique and unforgettable experience, this puppet museum is a must-visit destination. Don't miss out on the chance to witness the magic and creativity that lies within these handcrafted works of art.

Wonderful museum/shop. Owner incredibly friendly and enthusiastic about what he does. He told me it’s a team effort involving 10+ people, each responsible for one step. The puppet head is made from paper and flour water, then nailed together.

Отличный музей кукол, изготавлеваемых вручную. Кукол изготавливают в течении нескольких династий. Секрет передают от покаления к покалению. Рекомендую к посещению, особенно с детьми.
