This review is based solely on the bakery's pastries and treats! Sadly I have yet to try their drinks I've been hearing about. 85 can be one of those 'Hey let's grab a quick bite to eat!' and 'Dessert tonight?' type of place. Interior decor is stunning, a minimalistic white, modern and sleek look from its floors to its service desk. Always super clean when I've visited which is awesome! I don't get a chance to casually visit 85 as I'd like to, but always when visiting 85 I purchase in such big bulks ($75-150). The pastries I've gotten have always had the right amount of sweet and savory. I haven't tried much of the meat mix pastry items like the bacon/cheese or the ham/cheese/tuna, but hearing from friends it's mouth-watering! Pastries are always lined up and filled, if not, you can kindly ask one of the bakers to refill and they do it almost immediately. Parking is definitely a hassle in this area since it is located around a few large shopping and grocery centers. So I beg you not to come during peak hours or you'll find yourself parking near the Goodwill four buildings down! Overall, such a delectable place for your everyday fix. Would love to visit more often if I could; I've been meaning to try that Rose Milk Tea!

Green mold was found in the bread I bought yesterday. I went there today and demanded a refund for the bread I bought yesterday, including the moldy one. I didn't receive any apology. The manager, a woman who oddly attached long eyebrows, came out and quietly refunded only $3 for the bread. It's already frustrating to have bought moldy bread for the first time in my life, and the attitude of the female manager is very unpleasant. Do not go 85 degree bakery San Jose. Reply answer Train your employees properly. Everyone, including the manager who had false eyelashes, who was there, looking at moldy bread. Then she threw it into the trash bin and I said "I'm never coming here again", she said "Okay".

A great place for dessert and coffee. Bready or flakey pastry on the right side of entrance, colorful cakes at the register. Not too sweet which is nice too. Coffee and tea, any way you choose.

I want to give this place a better rating because the product and service are pretty good, but it's just so dirty whenever I go. I always have to sit at a table with spilled tea and bread everywhere. I came here with my friends and was a little embarrassed. However, I was happy to find that they do have gluten free and soy free options. The macarons and Rose tea are delicious !

Variety of Taiwanese desserts, buns and breads served in a modern setting. The mango cake and milk bread were lovely. We felt the flaky biscuits near the counter were very dry. Curry pan, cheese bread and other buns were alright - can be better though. Note that many of the items are out of stock by 5pm.

Was here for the Taro Lavender Latte. Self ordering machine was out of order, so had to go through the line. Always busy. It was ready immediately but he realized quickly that he missed to add the requested topping. He made another one with lychee jelly. It was of course a satisfying latte …

Wonderful Bakery providing sweet breads, breakfast breads, cakes, pastries, coffees, juices, and more. Clean and organized; servings are individually wrapped. Yummy choices - I tried 4 different ones and would recommend them all. Can't wait til more of these bakeries pop up around other cities!

If not 'Delight the customer', could at least be 'in service' of the customer. Terrible service, including the manager. The attitude was basically 'we'll do fine without your business'. Thankfully, there are plenty of bakeries in the area!

The bread is delicious and reasonably priced, but the lines are always long. After you place your order, it can take up to an hour to get called and I've been forgotten a few times since it was so crowded. This isn't a good place to talk or study since it's usually very noisy and crowded.

What a great experience! My husband's birthday, the cake I ordered online in the afternoon, was picked up before 9: 00 pm when I got home at night. The birthday cake was fresh and beautiful, and we were all very satisfied! Give a compliment!

-terribly unreasonable staff! Lock the door during office hour and ignore all the customer standing outside with no response at all! I even feel they are tracked in a parallel universe, otherwise how could they have no response at all!

This is our go to place at any time. Bakeries are very good - not too sweet. Coffee is pretty goo too - not typical Asian coffee. Even can do quick lunch with meat buns. Good environment as well compare to other Asian style bakeries.

This 85°C is run well. Stock is constantly replenished. All the pastries have signs. Everything's in its proper place. They changed the layout so you can see the cakes while you're in line, making it easier to decide what to request.

We ate, took 1/2 home for our husbands; they loved it too!

Absolutely delicious and very pretty presentations. I've personally used them twice in our corporate events including a holiday party, in addition to just casually picking up some of their egg tarts for a snack. 100% recommended.

It was my first visit to an 85c location. Good variety of treats, coffee bar and cold drinks. Not much seating but it appeared most people did a grab and go. Helpful staff.

If you are in the area and just looking for a cafe to seat for a while , this place is okay. But, for the baked stuff, they are all very sub-par. Parking is a problem on weekends since the Korean supermarket opened.

My everyday bakery shop. For bread, I love their red bean and coconut twist. My son’s favorite is garlic cheese and Tiramisu cake. They used to have a coffee bread and mocha bread, but not anymore. Missed them!

Just got to know about this bakery through friends , the place is amazing and good vibe. I really love the tiramisu cake , it was so yummy. Easy to grab tray and pick up the things which you like:)

I tried the Matcha coco bun, coffee cream brulee, and macchiato cake were all great. Not super sweet that would overwhelm you, right kinda sweetness that still lets you feel the other flavors

Excellent place to get some delicious coffee and bakeries. Very clean and nice looking inside. Coffee and sweets taste much better and is cheaper than Starbucks/Peet’s. Highly recommend!

Seating is limited and this is their only flaw. Good selection of Taiwanese pastries and parking isn't bad. Right next to the freeway so easy on and off

  • Ritesh G

My go-to boba store in the area, very economical. The best part is there are many pastry options available. Don't forget to scan for points or deals.

  • Nicholas Pun

Selection feels a bit smaller than other 85°C cafes, but there's a lot of seating and the cafe is pretty spacious. Not a bad spot for a quick snack!

  • Kanthaporn Ludwig

Delicious and cheap the downside is that there are very few tables to sit and eat inside.

Smallish Chinese bakely, but with fresh, great options and good prices. The matcha salt cheese latte is worth the trip if you are around.

  • Martha De La Cruz

LOVE their pastries. So yummy and fluffy and not too sweet which makes it that much yummy! I highly recommend this place.

  • Eddie B

Pastry delight time. Green matcha roll, hot dog on a bun and almond croissant. As always, post wherever you end up.

Very nice cakes pastries and bread. Asian bakery usually use less sugars in their products.

Their cake is super book! Not too sweet. Their birthday sign is a small piece of chocolate!
