I was referred to A to Z Moving by Classic Pianos, when I bought my 6 ft. Yamaha Disklavier grand piano 9 years ago, and my first experience with them was so positive that I used them again in a recent move. I was particularly concerned with the move in that the piano has 3 computers and speakers attached to it, so anyone not familiar with moving this type of piano could easily do major damage. The crew was very professional, efficient, and all very personable. They had all the right equipment and knowledge to manage the move flawlessly, and I appreciated their phone call to let me know they were on their way. The office staff, too, were very courteous, provided good communications, and were able to accommodate my schedule for the move between a large condo complex and an equally large apartment complex in the Pearl District. I will be using them again and I highly recommend this company to anyone thinking of moving a grand piano. John

My Sister has a beautiful Steinway upright that she decided to loan out to some friends for a few years, but the thought of “having to move a piano “ was daunting at the very least! After speaking with several other moving companies beforehand, Ben, from A to Z Moving made our decision really easy. Rather than just provide a quote, Ben asked a handful of important questions particular to the final placement of our piano, and was able to save us hundreds of dollars in the end! The entire experience, beginning with that brief phone call to the end, was absolutely flawless! Four Movers arrived promptly the day we were scheduled. They were friendly and professional, but most importantly they were conscientious and hyper-vigilant with property that has been in our family for generations! I would highly recommend using A to Z Moving!

I have worked with Ben at A to Z many times, and these guys are the most reliable I have worked with in the area. They took expert care of my three pianos. Especially impressive was their moving of the 9 foot, 1200 lb concert grand. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with a 9 foot. They are kind, personal, professional, reliable, and take care excellent care of the instruments, the home, and of themselves, so I wasn’t worried about them injuring themselves. I’ve used other movers who did a good job, but I felt uneasy watching them—they didn’t communicate with each other as well. A to Z made sure each other knew what the plan was befitting before making any moves. I’m also encouraged to see the same guys working with them for as long as I’ve used them. If you need a piano moved, look no further.

A to Z piano movers did a fantastic job moving a 140-year-old Steinway grand piano from Albany to Portland, Oregon. I had been quoted $2062.50 to move it and they moved it for $770. Ben the office manager was attentive to all details as called back twice with changes. The men who arrived here were careful and kind. Sam, who handled the paperwork and seemed to be in charge even watched a video of my gifted cousin who has played the piano since 1946, but has now been moved to an Alzheimer’s memory care unit. Franco dusted and polished the piano the whole time, showing a genuine love and instructing me as to how I might improve the damaged finish. Clearly these men love pianos and they were on time and professional every step of the way.

I had A-Z Moving remove, store, return, and set back to perfect location a concert grand piano while floors were refinished. From the first phone call, scheduling a difficult situation, to the professional and respectful movers that showed up on a Saturday to accomplish my needs were top shelf with documented details of any blemishes to the piano. When it was returned by the same techs, they were prompt again and made sure my customer was very happy with the placement of the piano and cleaned up the piano and made sure all was tip top shape. The final billing was very reasonable and it made me happy to pay them the invoice. for my next move, A-Z will be my first call. I highly recommend them for your next move. Thanks guys!

We recently had my cousin's Yamaha baby grand piano moved from his home to ours. I was concerned about the move, as the piano was equipped with a Disklavier (electronic player piano) and I was concerned it could have gotten damaged. The team knew just what to do. They carefully disconnected it, transported the piano to our home without a hitch and successfully installed the unit. everything worked perfectly. The were not only good, they were courteous and funny too! I would strongly recommend A to Z to anyone. Best, Tom

They are the primary piano movers for Classic Piano in Portland. I had a fantastic team of movers come over. They were kind, professional, prompt, and competent. They had lots of useful tips about piano care, and they charged half of what I was quoted by another company. Email communication was slow, but when I reached out via phone to ask if a special time frame could be accommodated, they were able to make adjustments to help me out. I will definitely be using them again and recommend them to friends and family!

We were looking for a trustworthy company to move my mother's piano that I inherited. I contact my music teacher from my youth. I knew she had a baby grand that she had moved multiple times in the past. She said that the only company that she would recommend was A to Z. When I called they were able to schedule me sooner than I thought they would with the holidays being so near. They handled the transfer wonderful & their communication was amazing from the moment I scheduled it. I highly recommend using them.

I'm sorry but I have to warn others against hiring these guys. Yes, they'll do the job, but not without complaining the whole time. Three of them--and all I got was complaints (they had to carry my apartment-sized, upright piano up 23 stairs). I'm mad at myself for tipping them well afterward, and I did so because I felt guilty. Seriously. This is your job, guys. Yes, 23 stairs suck, but I'm sure I'm not the only one with a piano that needs to be carried up stairs. Beware.

We used A to Z moving a piano this past week. The team of 3 showed up right on time, brought all the equipment they needed, communicative, efficient, and were caring in their ability to move the piano. The owner also followed up to ensure the move went well which we appreciated! We had called a few companies and A to Z had the best prices and were the quickest to respond. We would highly recommend A to Z for all your moving needs! Thank you!

Hired through through Classic Pianos. Every step was easy, clearly communicated, and professionally executed. A sizable team was on site to protect the piano, the origin property and destination. A thorough inspection was done prior to the move and they even pointed out one defect with the foot pedals, then advised me how to fix it. They even referred me to a couple of tuners. Would hire them again in a heartbeat.

A to Z moving has moved our baby grand piano twice, each time doing a stellar job. Their inspection identified a safety issue with one of they legs that we have never noticed (and since rectified). Also, they were able to point out pros and cons for our placement for consideration. Just a very well organized, experience and wise crew. Thank you for the wonderful move!

A BIG Thanks to A-Z Moving crew for taking good care of our baby grand piano, moving it up multiple stairs, that seems to me impossible to do, but they did it in a breeze! When our piano was moved back into the house they placed it perfectly- better than where it was originally! Definitely the professional team to call to move and/ or store your piano.

It was time for the piano I've had my entire life, over 70 years to move to our daughters house. Professional men who cared about my piano came and moved it.
