Second time at this movie theater. Unfortunately I think they're extremely lucky to have this location. The last time we came here. The bartender was phenomenal was extremely busy but managed to get everyone their orders. The reclining seats. Worked for the first 15 minutes. They stopped working. Went to the front to let them know about the seat. They said the only thing that they could do was give me a complimentary ticket for our next time. Only to realize when I got home that they were expired. The second visit did not improve. The movie we were interested in was at 2. Purchasing tickets online was atrocious. Doors were finally open at 1:30. Tried to purchase tickets at the machine and it didn't print our tickets . Asked the associate at the desk for some help. Didn't seem like she wanted to help us literally roll her eyes n huffed her way over to the kiosk where we bought our tickets. She then asked us what machine we were using even though we were using the machine in front of her and we were literally the first ppl at the door once they unlocked the theatre. I can probably go on for a while. Definitely never coming back here again. This theatre is very lucky they are at this location cuz the customer service here is terrible...except for the bartenders-they are amazing and extremely hard workers at this location.
If you can go to another theater, I suggest you do so. My husband and I thought it was the worst experience we ever had. Half of it had to do with parents having unruly children run amok (one appeared in front of me at one point, and my 8 year old stepson even said it was chaotic in there and kids younger than 8 shouldn't be allowed to go lol). The other half was due to the theater itself, specifically: The popcorn was stale in the center, like tough enough to want to spit out. I told the manager and they gave me "fresh out of the kettle" popcorn and still had the same problem, so I'm not sure what that was about. We walked into the theater room and the trash was STACKED so high you almost couldn't even throw out your trash. We went to our seats, and they clearly did not clean it. Lots of popcorn to sweep off. Thankfully, the manager was helpful and in addition to replacing our popcorn, they gave us free passes and sent an usher and security guard there (who told me the kids were even punching the cardboard figures in the hallways.... I just wish the ushers would have been around much earlier.
The recliner was broken. We had to ask them to turn the lights off. We also asked if they could start the movie over since the lights were on for the first five minutes. They did NOT. After the movie was over not one staff member was around to report the broken seat. The movie was great! I highly recommend The Little Things 03.05.2022 UPDATE: We watched The Batman and it was freaking awesome!!! The seat I sat in worked fine. However, the young lady sitting next to me said her chair would not recline. The AC was not on and at the end of the movie almost everyone rushed out. We waited through the entire credits to wait for a clue credit..a staff member told another man that there was "nothing at the end"... We spent quite a bit of money just to be left with a bitter taste in our mouths AGAIN! VERY DISAPPOINTING. This was a last resort option. If at all possible I would NOT go back to this movie theater
The theatre was clean, and the sound was good despite being a smaller theatre for an aged release. Having worked here 24 years ago as a teen the place is almost unrecognizable with all the appropriate renovations and updating. My only gripe is how difficult the 3rd party payment system is to accommodate concession payment with a gift card: It is a ridiculously convoluted process of code entries and emails that can only be done via smart phone and then (hopefully) scanned from the smart phone screen if you even get there. Guest services acknowledged the confusion happens constantly and helped out but really they shouldn't have to. My GF and I are tech savvy enough to know when we're being forced to jump through hoops and I'm sure that 3rd party company is all too happy to not actually pay out their gift certificates and make everything a real money transaction. AMC should dump them.
Everything was almost great. We were there through a Fathom Event. Fathom interface was smooth, e-ticket, etc was fine. Ordering food with their touch screen order system was okay but since no one takes your order it was difficult to tell when it was your food that was ready. They sort yelled out a number but we never heard it. I stood there for a while until I finally asked and was told, "Oh, that's your food down over there." The seats in our theater were covered in popcorn. I brushed most of it off with my hand. There was still lots stuck in the sides. The final thing was 2/3 of the way through the movie the lights came on! I didn't want to miss any of the film so I just stuck it out. After there didn't seem to be anyone to tell. Movie was good. Seats are comfortable and snacks were good. 4 stars.
I have lived in Ahwatukee for nearly 19 years and have gone to AMC Ahwatukee numerous times and I am sorry to say that it's been pretty below average over the past few years. 1. Not clean - food, wrappers on the carpet, carpets not clean, fountain area messy/dirty, garbage cans overflowing. 2. Staff - average at best. Not terrible, but usually not very helpful. 3. Automated ordering system doesn't speed up the process. It may save labor costs but definitely not customer satisfaction, IMO. 4. Chairs often broken - reclining chairs the last several visits have been broken. With the world of streaming being a lot less expensive than paying $15-$17 per ticket, movie goers need to be enticed to going to the movies, and, right now, AMC in Ahwatukee is falling short of this goal, IMO.
Wow this place has gone downhill haven’t been to amc in a while, but this one was absolutely disgusting. The concession stands were so dirty, popcorn and sticky soda all over the ground. The kiosks to order don’t work and are super slow. The employees are not happy to be there, and take forever filling orders. The popcorn was burnt tasting and the icee machine was so watered down. When we got to our theater, they never cleaned it from the previous movie trash everywhere. My son ended up sitting on melted chocolate from the previous person. Horrible experience, i honestly would have left the second we saw how dirty the concession stand was, but the only thing my son wanted to do for his birthday was so see super Mario movie. We will not be going back to any amc.
I usually love the movies at this location but the cleanliness is terrible and the staff will steal or throw away your possessions. I know for a fact where exactly I left my yeti water bottle by my seat. It last showing of the night 12.21.21 and they claim to clean after every movie, so why wasn't it turned in?? .i would've appreciated the honesty if they told me they just threw it away but they didn't bother to have someone take me or look exactly where i told them. They only provide small water cups so forgive me for trying to be sustainable with my own, some lost and found system?? They just take what they want or throw it away? After only a few hours? I returned to the theater the very next day as soon as i got off work. $80 yeti water bottle gone.
I've been going to this theater for years. I went to it as a kid. Recently it's really gone down hill. I went last night to see Haunted Mansion, the door had signs the AC was not working in several of the theaters and showings in those theaters were canceled and reimbursed. I should have walked away but didn't. The lobby was really hot and all the employees are wearing neck fans, the pop corn tasted stale and had no flavor. When I went in the theater itself it was cooler but the seats had seen better days and had tape on them. The women's bathroom was horrible. I'll be honest it's just not worth it to go there anymore. It's expensive and quality is horrible. I would suggest Harkins, Majestic 7, or the Pollak Dollar Theater.
I came here not used to theaters being this fancy. The atmosphere screams sci-fi and gave me the feeling of child-like wonder. Prices are of course ridiculous but that is EVERY theater I have ever been to. I am not docking any stars because their prices are comparable to other theaters and do not seem (to me) any higher than normal. Great cleanliness and help from staff. While they were helpful, they were very short staffed. I was almost late to my movie because there was one person behind the register. Also I did not expect that they are almost all digital payments. I brought cash and come to find out they have 1 register for cash. Dont get me wrong. I enjoyed my time and had a lot of fun. Will definitely come again
Fast to order and pay, all through the kiosks. The popcorn today had a weird taste on some. It's like the butter was old, since the taste lingered and was very foul on some of the popcorn. This is the second time that has happened. I also noticed they'll fill fresh popcorn for some customers, while others get the popcorn that's pre-prepped. The bucket that we were given had a lot of seeds. Then also that foul flavor, not sure what it is. The drink kiosks were fine, some flavors were unavailable. This is also the second time we went to these theatres and the seats had trash and popcorn on the seats and in the cup holders. Not sure if there's enough staff to clean, but hopefully they're getting staffed fine.
My most recent experience at AMC Ahwatukee 24 was 1 star. I will be going to Harkins for my next movie. Here are a few of the faults I found from my 10:05 a.m. movie: (A) I hate ordering from the kiosk. While waiting for my order, 4 employees behind the counter spent 5 minutes trying to fix the popcorn machine. The popcorn I did receive had been sitting out... for possibly hours. It was stale and cold. (B) The restrooms do not have soap and looked like they hadn't been cleaned despite it being morning. (C) My seat was covered in rips and tape. While my seat reclined, the remainder of my row did not. (D) The screen was out-of-focus for the entirety of the previews and the film.
The theatre is of course a nice facility. The seats are the recliner type and are very comfortable. They have a great online platform for buying tickets for specific seats, which is great. However, their price for popcorn and drinks is ridiculous and outrageous. By the time you purchase the tickets, two large popcorns and two drinks, you've spent more than $66 if paying online, just to see a 90 minute movie! Really? For $24 more, you could buy two tickets to a live theatre performance at the Hale theatre and get to meet the actors after the performance! I think AMC needs to rethink the pricing of their concessions, which cost more than the movie one is paying to see.
The movie was great, but the most uncomfortable movie theater experience I ever had. First the theater smells old and outdated, Second the guy at the bar was nice so one positive, third it was so hot in the theater I should have wore boardshorts with how much I sweat, I couldn't focus on the movie with how hot it was in there and left soaked after I pried myself from from the sticky seat. I noticed several other people moving about like they were uncomfortable too, not to mention my wife was saying it was hot in there and she never gets hot. Guess I just needed a reminder of why I don't go to the movies often and prefer to just pay to watch the movie at home.
Looking for an entire evening of fun that won't break the bank? This movie theater is your ticket—literally. Not only do they offer affordable cinematic adventures that make you question how they keep the prices so low, but the surrounding area is an entertainment playground. Whether you're in the mood for a casual stroll, or some post-movie cocktails, the options are endless. Think of it as a one-stop-shop for an unforgettable night out. The theater itself may not boast the luxury recliners or gourmet snacks, but what it lacks in frills it makes up for in genuine, budget-friendly enjoyment. So why not make an evening of it? Two thumbs way up!
Don’t like the self service snacks/drinks system. Usually you pay and receive items immediately. Now you have to walk to other end of counter and wait for items. They don’t even call out a number or name. Someone took my two large drinks and then associate tried to give me two medium drinks. This is what happens when they don’t call out order and don’t verify receipt. Also there is never any ice in the soda machines. Last 3 times I came here I had to search all soda machines for ice to find only one with little ice. Also they really need to play music in the bathroom. It is so quiet in the bathroom you can hear a drop of water.
It was good to get out and see a movie again. We saw Cruela and it was really good! There weren't a lot of people there which was nice. I like the fact that you can pre-pick your seats online and pay before even getting there. By doing this there's contact-less check in. I took my own wipes to disinfect the seats but they do have disinfecting wipes outside in the lobby. It was nice that everyone continued to social distance in the theater. The restrooms were cleaned and well maintained. The only thing I wish was that the popcorn was fresher. It was a great family night outing and we will definitely be back for Fast9!!!!!
Went last night for first (and last) time. Watched an 8:30 pm move and got there by 8:05. Not crowded at all, but I was shocked at how dirty the room was. I'm really happy they did have sanitizing wipes so seat could be wiped down but they didn't clean in between movies. Trash in the seats, floors, cup holders. Ew! Seriously felt gross like I needed a shower after. Tape was used on several places on our seats for repair. Wish I would've taken a pic. Did not purchase from concession. Feel if they are comfortable with areas customers see being this trashy no telling how trashy the parts we don't see are, no thanks.
It’s good bc if it’s location, but honestly I have been in theaters with broken ac/ really poor ac too many times this summer. A leather recliner is cool till you are sticking too it bc it’s so damn hot. The place has almost no staff so it’s often really dirty. The kids that work there can be found in camera blind spots glued to their phones so it makes sense. Not that I can blame them, they really need more people for a place this large, but if the owners can’t/ won’t put the money in the HVAC what are the odds they are gonna properly staff again. Pre covid they had way more staff and way better service.
My confirmation#613539961 it was on 11/12 at 4:40 pm /auditorium 3 The image quality was horrible and the brightness level kept flickering throughout the entire movie. I really wanted to get up and go ask the management about it because it was distracting but then I would’ve missed the whole movie. The problem is I thought I would just come onto the website and maybe send an email so they could fix it or tend to that theater because it was really bad but there is no where to send an email. There is nowhere to communicate and there is no one to address this to at all. So now I’m extremely frustrated.
I never liked AMC. The service I had Saturday confirmed the fact that I will never step foot in AMC again. Customer service isn't being taught anymore. It's sad that we still give business to companies with horrible service. Not to mention discrimination. The fat guy working at the bar was obviously prejudice. He's also a lier. I never have problems getting my drinks at other theaters. They don't judge or pick my drink sizes. I was just enjoying a movie with my kids, taking time out on a stressful day and winding down. Thanks for the horrible experience. I will definitely not be going back.
Staff is friendly. My seat had a little popcorn on it from the previous movie. Concession prices are outrageous and a small popcorn is only available in a combo with a small drink! I've never heard of such a thing. I bought the expensive hazelnut churros (which were very good) so didn't need a lot of poor quality popcorn to go with it. I live 200 miles from here and my much less expensive Cinemark theater at home has far better popcorn and they will sell it in all sizes. I would have given 3 stars but the friendly and helpful staff compensated for some of the disappointments.
Amc stubs memeber here. I ordered a ticket and a limited edition scream cup many days in advance. I showed up and watched my movie and my drink was never delivered. I spoke with a young incompetente "manager" after my movie finished. She said she didn't count the cups for the online orders and had sold them all. Thought amc stubs members had priority. Clearly this kid has no clue on how to manage a movie theater. I am horribly disappointed and will not be returning to this location and will promptly be canceling my membership at renewal time. I expected better from amc.
Went and saw Little Mermaid 3D in auditorium 23, and yikes.. I’ll stick to Harkins. First off, it was so hot in the theatre, my legs started to sweat. Not only that, but the screen was discolored. It was a weird pink and blue hue/tint the entire film (even during the previews). The light of the screen flickered the entire time as well - never fully bright. Tape covered a rip on the seat next to me… This location just FEELS ANCIENT. Harkins Chandler has never failed me, so I definitely won’t be coming back to AMC, or this location again. I did try and give it a shot!
The leather covering on the seats had separated from the seat and was SUPER loose AND there were cuts/slits in the leather seating. Also, the lights were left on in the theater for about the first five minutes of the movie. And then to top it off, NO toilet paper in any of the stalls in the women's bathroom. I was forced to use a seat covering as tp. Clearly, this entire establishment needs some serious renovations. But the biggest disappointment was the movie...Crimes of the Future. It was THE WORST movie I've ever seen. I'd REALLY like my money back.
This place has really declined since covid. Concession stands and bathroom were dirty despite several employees just sort of standing nearby. Many of the doors in the women's restroom didn't even close. The updated seats are ok but there was something wrong with the projector and the movie itself was extremely dim - in dark scenes you couldn't see anything. No one seemed to notice or care. Husband talked me out of saying anything to management because he said all they'll do is give you tickets to come back, and we don't want to come back.
We went to this theater to watch a 10 am show. It was pretty nice inside. It wasn't that crowded. Our tickets, popcorn and sodas was bought in advance which made our experince quicker and convenient. I love the seating. We had very comfortable like Lazy boy recliners. There was ample amount of space between rolls so you could recline your feet up without invading the person in front of you space. The lighting and quality of the picture was good. Their washrooms were very clean. I really enjoyed the whole experince.
Came to the Ahwatukee theater on Ray Rd to see Sound of Freedom. The prices are a bit high. Ticket for the movie was $13+change. Food was good. The mozzarella sticks were good. I like the fact that you can get drink refills — can’t do that at Harkins. With a box of Butterfinger miniatures it was $22+change. All total came to over $35. The seating in the theater was fine. The leather chair I sat in needed some repair (Thester 12, seat G-10). And the bathrooms were clean. A fine experience, and a great movie.
Love the comfy reclining seats! This is the only movie location we go to! We love the reclining chairs that give us an unobstructed view of the big screen. The staff there is A+, very eager to provide excellent services. Place is kept very clean, and offers new food and beverage menus which we love. My only complaint is the Stubb reward card. Unless you buy the premium card, you cannot auto'check and this location is understaffed. As a result, we always have to anticipate a waiting line.
Filthy! The moment we walk in there are giant stains everywhere and dirty carpet. Walls are banged up, bathrooms are horrendous. You go to order snacks and no one helps you they just point you to a filthy screen that has a thousand prints on it. We get to our seats and two of the four seats we paid for the recline doesn’t work and the seats have grease stains all over. Finally get situated and start snackin the popcorn is old and stale. Terrible experience, I’ll stick with harkins.
Went to see Plane was excited. Then we got our stuff from the snack bar. Now it is get our own drinks which is ok. But several coke machines not working right. Then we got popcorn and I wanted extra butter. I tried 4 different ones and nothing they were not working either. We ordered pretzel bites and those were microwaved. Hmm we have air fryers that cook them better. The bathroom were clean. But you get a 2 star because everything should have been ready by the 11am showing
This place has really gone downhill. I went to see Super Mario Bros. with my family and the first thing I noticed was how dirty the concession stands were. When we finally went to go see the movie it was disgusting. They hadn’t cleaned the theater from the last showing. There was popcorn and melted chocolate everywhere and sticky soda all over the floor. The only reason I stayed is because my son really wanted to watch that movie. I won’t be coming back here anytime soon.
This was my first time to an AMC theater and my first going to the movies in several years. There was no direction that I could see instructing you to use the self-serve kiosks so I stood in line at the only attended register. When I realized I could do this myself I moved to the kiosk and took care of the transaction. The person taking the tickets was very friendly and chatty. The popcorn was stale. The reclining seats were VERY comfortable. The bathrooms were clean.
It was super busy at the theater tonight and I put in an online order for 6:40. I check to see if my order was ready since I was super early. Obviously didn’t see my order and took a strip back, within a minute a very nice lady, I don’t remember her name but she had cute butterfly clips in, asked if I needed help. Especially on busy nights it’s amazing to have someone super attentive and trying to help others! Overall great experience and theater was super clean!
Had a great time, Went to see the twenty year release for lord of the rings return to the king, They had some technical difficulties but they made it right , popcorn was a little stale , but all the employees were great , seats were a little worn , no one was working the bar , not sure if there was specific hours , overall 3 stars , but again not the employees fault , I usually go to harkins but would consider coming back to amc for another try .
The concession stand is very bad too order from for food. As I was waiting they had to go get more pizza. When the workers came back they started to make the food. As the workers made the food they touched their foreheads and phones using the same gloves to touch the food. I asked for a refund. The manager was helpful, but the workers were snickering while smiling as I complained. I am very hesitant to come back to this theater.
The seating was really comfortable! I loved the adjustable recliner chairs. I didn't give the theater a 5-star rating because the drink machines dispensed thick frothy syrup which was not properly mixed. All the machines had the same problem. I didn't report to management at the time because my movie was about to start. Management should be checking this on their own anyway. I paid $7.00 for a drink that I had to throw away!
It’s disgustingly filthy now and used to be so nice and kind of upscale. Trash on the floors near concessions and the butter dispensers seems to consistently be broken. The girls’ bathroom smell awful. I’m disappointed the theater is managed this way. I hate going to this theater. Superstition springs is what AMC 24 used to be but it is so far away. I may drive the distance because I get grossed out at the AMC 24.
Staff is friendly and the location is close to our house. We go here often because we have an A-list subscription. Sometimes there are issues though. Like getting broken seats... which happens a lot in different theater numbers, sometimes they leave the lights on and we have to ask them to turn them off, Nicole Kidman is getting on our last nerve, etc. So we'd give it an okay experience. Gets us out of the house.
AMC is and always will be a staple of the community. Comfy seats and great customer service. For the first time ever we had to switch theaters twice due to issues with the projectors. But the customer service was superb including Lauren and Arianna who were very kind and helped us get situated. Ultimately we took passes to come back another time - but still 4* service and we'll most certainly be back soon!
Nice theater, everything was clean. Went and saw one piece film red. Was great! Only negative thing I have to say is that the theater chairs were a pain in the butt. Me and my wife are a little bigger and she has wide hips and the button kept getting pressed for the chairs so it kept moving the chair everytime she moved. It was no big deal though it did give us a good laugh lol. Hope this review helps lol
I thought the staff was very friendly and kind. I love ol boy at the bar! He is an artist and just love his vibe. I handed him a $20 for a drink and couldn't be anyone sure. No change. He deserves it. I appreciate all the staff for being there so I can enjoy movies with my family and make memories. ❤️ Super Mario was pretty Ima just continued to add my movies for each review after this : ...
12$ for a large popcorn, ok we get it, sorta… ended up being the worst popcorn we have ever had. It was all like the bottom of the machine popcorn small burnt and all seeds plus very stale. We saw a late movie so by the time i went back to get it exchanged the snack bar was already closed and they were cleaning up. Now we feel crummy from eating what we could from the popcorn we got. Be aware.
This is a great place to see a movie. All the seats are reclining and wide aisles so you don't feel too crowded. I need space around me and do not like feeling crowded so i usually wait till a weekday to see something i want to watch but even if you went here on a weekend and the place was full the Theatre's big enough that it wouldn't be too bad plus it's always clean , it's a nice theater.
A really good theatre located in the marketplace. But, a couple of times have witnessed some bad experiences in terms of cleanliness. For instance, there was a chewing gum stuck somewhere on the recliner and no clue when it got stuck in my hair! Once there were a lot of butter popcorns spread on my recliner and it was quite dark when I sat on it, the butter from it stained my dress.
Jan 30th treated myself to movie at 11:30 as theater opened. Theater just opened and no fresh popcorn..messy concession area...cleaning out old popcorn and I got stale box that was cold. Lobby messy and bathroom stall had no paper. The theater just opened and it should be immaculate. The only reason I will go back is I was given gift cards. Please attempt to care about your theater.
My husband and I came to watch a movie and as we were heading up to our seats we were shocked to see they were not cleaned ... there was garbage in the cup holder , popcorn in the seats or I should write embedded in the seats.... So he went to get paper towels and used the hand sanitizer and cleaned the seats himself....he did make it aware to your staff...this is really bad AMC....
Watched a movie in the first week of opening post pandeminc shutdown. AMC/this location has done an outstanding job of keeping the theaters clean, there are wipes and hand sanitizers located all over, plenty of signs informing about social distancing and masking policy. Overall the location is pretty good and beyond what I was expecting for my first movie in almost 6 months.
Ya'll when I say I had a great experience.....I had a GREAT Experience! I was a little annoyed at the price (everything os going up so I guess) then o got in there with the seats......makes the movie a WORLD of difference. So comfy! Didnt try any food as I ate prior to arrival, looked & smelled like pretty good selection. Overall just really freat atmosphere. Thanks AMC.
Even after the quarantine, no one takes your money: just kiosks. The theaters are small, but everything else is great. The sound is good. The sodas are self-serve, which means you can get refills. You can order your snacks at a different kiosk, or order in person, so it's nice to have the option. The building itself is well maintained. The staff are professional.
Filthy bathrooms, looks like they never get touched (Men's room). My girlfriend told me multiple stalls out of toilet paper in the womens side. The reclining seats were uncomfortable and held together with duct tape. Popcorn was just sitting there on the counter when the clerk gave it to us, extremely stale. By far the worst theater I have stepped foot in.
This AMC has a super friendly staff, clean comfortable theatres, a great snack bar, and a perfect location! I belong to the A List and get a lot for my money. At this writing, Covid is dying down, but they still have safety and cleaning guidelines. I’ve had both vaccinations, so I could go without a mask. A great place to see a movie on the big screen.
Six of us that won't return. Just a waste of money for snacks and drinks... just silly. Over $6 for a small bottle of water. Spent 3 times more on snacks and drinks than the tickets cost. Icing on our cake was that is was very warm in theater. We were ALL sweating. This happened a few years back and reminded us of why we hadn't returned. Too bad.
A great place to see a movie for sure! Comfortable reclining seats await but don't forget to stop at the snack bar. Automated kiosk ordering keeps the line moving and if soda pop isn't for you the full-service bar in the lobby will expand your choices to spirits. The movie we saw was just okay but the movie-going experience was top-notch!
AC units here are the worst because there is none. You walk in and it’s as hot inside as it is outside even in the theater room. I had to take a decontamination shower when I returned home. Spent $27 to see Oppenheimer then another $30 for 2 drinks and popcorn for both my wife and I . Then endured sweating in my reclining seats! Gross!
Very relaxed recliner seats for all of us to enjoy your choice movie. I like that you get easy free parking and no hassel to find food outside if you wanna grab something to eat after your movie. With multiple screens almost all the movies are listed to run at several convenient time slots. Audio and screen quality is also good.
I guess all theaters are AI. I did not know how to operate the darn machines. Thanks to the worker's who helped us operate them. It was easy. Popcorn and soda were good. Seating was ok. Did not know u can chose your seats on line. Good if your young with basic computer knowledge. Bad if your computer illiterate like me.
This is a great theater to go see a movie! We saw Fast X. The seating and seats are spacious and comfortable. There are plenty of concessions. The women's bathroom was nasty and needed to be cleaned regularly. Other than that, this theater was clean. I recommend this location. I will return to this AMC location.
The movie and sound quality was fine, but the place looks like it isn’t being taken care of. Sticky floors everywhere, drink machines out of a lot of flavors, butter machine didn’t work, no cup lids available. I will still see movies but I am considering a change to a new venue if conditions don’t improve.
Well-located for pre-/post-showtime eating or shopping nearby. Great theaters with comfy reclining chairs (although some are starting to show their age). There's a bar in the lobby for grownups. Consider their A-list membership, which allows up to 3 movies a week (plus other perks) for about $20 a month!
So a theater manager has the capability of giving free tickets. Discounts, and anything they want in their location. But a manager can’t simply change your seats. They make you go through the process of refund and repurchase. There is no wonder why AMC is going belly up and needs stimulus to stay afloat.
Dirty lobby. Dirty theater. Dirty seats. Our 2 seats were broken... no reclining. The soda machines were filthy and soda/syrup balance was way off. Got stale popcorn. The theater was poorly sound insulated from others. Quiet parts of movie were ruined by sounds in other theaters. All around bad theater.
Overall dirty. The bathrooms where filthy, no soap and the had drying machine was unbelievably nasty. The area of the fountain drinks, was just a mess. On the counters and the floor. Multiple trash cans filled to the rim. Movie was good, but just getting my drink and going to the bathroom I felt dirty.
Transformers was an awesome movie! You don't have to see the previous movies to enjoy the cool transformer convertions! Enjoyed the cozy chairs. The bartender forgot to give me by bottle of beer after payment he went in the back. We had to ask him for it. We enjoyed bottomless sodas and slurpees too!
I love the comfort of the space while watching the movies. I do not like the slimline chairs. I am a girl with a wider hip range, who seems to hit the lean-back button when I shift in my seat. It's frustrating and I get distracted from the movie when I am going back and forth with the chair.
Went from 20 minutes of previews last time we were here 3 years ago to 25 minutes now. Reminds me why we haven't been back for 3 years. Maybe if we come back in another 3 years they will start the movie closer to scheduled time.... WOW snacks are expensive! Recommend eating before you come.
We come here quite frequently. Unfortunately, it smells like a wet sock left in the washer. The cleanest place is probably the restroom. Prices are what they are, regardless of where you go. The staff are quite friendly and they do try their utmost when it comes to service and hospitality.
This place needs some serious renovations. The last few times we have gotten tickets only one of our seats reclines. This last time only 4 in the whole row reclined. The seats are so uncomfortable when they don't recline. Won't be going back. I'd rather go to AZ mills where the seats work.
No butter, no ice, flat soda, screens off that are supposed to direct me to my theater off, floors were filthy, and no supervision in the theaters where teens can act like fools during special features. Come to this theater if you want to waste money on salty popcorn and sticky seats
Amazing! By far one of the best AMC's I've ever been to. The staff is friendly, theaters are clean, and the overall experience was fantastic. Definitely will recommend to friends and family. Having automated kiosks to ease up lines, and a fully stocked bar is a major plus
Some movies, like Top Gun, really need to be seen in the theater. AMC has always been a Top Choice. Prices for concessions are competitive, though still much too high, but the discount tickets help ease that pain some. Sitting is good and the audio system is great.
Everything is nicely organized but the only issue... I have is the bathrooms it seems like they never clean or there always tissue on the floor... or there is never enough tissue in the dispenser. The other AMC theater on Stapley has better looking bathrooms
Defitnely an old theater that needs a renovation. Starting with their air conditioning. The whole theater was hot. Will never spend money here again. In Arizona we go to the movies to escape the heat. It's unacceptable to be sweating throughout your movie.
This place is completely gross. It’s trash everywhere and the self service is filthy. Take a peek behind the concession stand and the employees are literally walking through trash. Don’t go there and God forbid if you have to use the restroom…. Disgusting!
Movie was great and all the employees are always great and friendly. Cons are pricey (but you know that going in) and parking. It's in a big shipping center therefore finding parking can be difficult. Unless you drive a Tesla. Charging is right up front.
It's an older location. I've been there several times. This last time the power went out (not their fault) and the could have handled it better. Staff didn't provide any details and it took a long time to exit the building. Standard movie food + bar.
Probably my favorite AMC in this area. Kind of my home theater until I moved and Mesa Grand was much closer. However, I don't like AMC popcorn when I do get it (which is rare). But if you like movies, they have those. Edit: I now like their popcorn.
The theater was so cold! I always bring a sweatshirt and a blanket but I was wishing for a heavier blanket and couldn't wait for the movie to finish so I could leave and get warm again! My poor husband was also freezing but didn't have a blanket.
Nice seats and rows designed so others don't get in your way. It's pretty cold in there. Ordering food is super unorganized and popcorn is usually not fresh or very warm. Massive amount of ads in front of each movie also. Prefer other theaters.
Could of seen 2 movies at Harkins Theaters for the price we paid to watch 1 movie. No workers even helped us how to work the refreshment kiosk. So we watched the movie with NO POPCORN, DRINKS, NACHOS, OR SWEETS.!! VERY, VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED.
We always have a good experience at this theater. This theater has good popcorn, Icees, and nachos. The theaters are large and they have reclining seats. We live in West Chandler, but we prefer this over the Harkins at Chandler Fashion Center.
Great theatre. Love the seat selection/reservation ability when tickets are purchased (online from home or at the kiosk in the lobby). The only danger with the oversized, reclining theatre seats is that they are almost TOO comfortable! …
I went to go see the Nun 2 with my friends. Unfortunately, the Taylor Swift Eras Tour movie was playing in the next theater. So, all we heard was music the entire length of the movie; even after complaining. Totally ruined the experience.
Located in the middle of a shopping center. The theater was very clean, staff was very helpful in picked you seating for your movie. Reclining seats and hold about 60 people. With handicapped seating for wheelchair and their companions.
There was trash everywhere. The theaters weren't cleaned in between each show. There was sticky stuff and popcorn all in my seat. It was gross. There were no lids for any of the drinks . Definitely going to a different place next time.
Loved the movie and sound system is good. However, the chairs me and my mother sat in were not working so we couldn't lean back in them. Felt like a discount should be given if you can't lay back in the fancy seats they showcase.
Associates were friendly enough and the theaters themselves were clean. Only issue is the bathrooms seemed a little unkept. Seven month later update: tonight I had an associate tel me to have an AMC Amazing night. What the heck.
The place was super clean, the staff was helpful. But there was no A/C in the theater we were in so it was really stuffy and luckily it was just my wife and I. Plus they were out of nachos how can you be out of nachos lol.
The movie theater has big seats and are very comfortable. The theater is clean. The price of popcorn and drinks cost $100 for 7 people. The movie theater was hot inside. The temperature felt like it was around 80 degrees.
Always clean. Seats exceptionally comfortable. Affordable prices. So many changes with food service. Popcorn is already packaged and sitting under a heat lamp. Not that fresh. Also, smaller containers. No more buckets! :(
I like the courtesy of the staff, the variety in the Coke remix machines and the quality of the sound in the theaters. As a bigger man, I do not enjoy the recliner seats at all. They are too rigid on the sides/dividers.
What a clean and wide selection of movies! Unfortunately, the manager here is less trustworthy to folks of my, let us say, persuasion. Imagine being racist and calling the cops on paying customers in this day and age!
Thank you for showing The Sound of Freedom as it is a much needed wake up call for the world. Data from ten years is hard to watch yet we all need to see hard truths and be better aware to stop child trafficking.
Love this movie theater!! Great neighborhood, comfy reclining lounge seats, great viewing and sound, it's kept clean with fast service, definitely my preferred AMC location, they even have iccee refills …
Really like the seating arrangement, and the recliners are comfortable. Went with the amc stubs a list package, can't beat 3 free movies a week for $19.99 a month. This place always seems to be kept clean.
AMC Seating does not accommodate their Fluffy guests. Sitting at an angle, unable to adjust the leg rests, was demoralizing and bad for my hips and back. I will not be enjoying movies at any AMC locations.
Went to watch sonic the hedgehog with the kids , This theater has touch less pay for the movies. The Seats recline. Pretty dope shopping center and different food places around just in case you’re hungry.
Most of the chairs need to be replaced on the to leave! Clean and wiped down! And 2 chairs didn't work. move was good and sound was great! Maybe it was just the one theater I was in. The movie the chosen
Clean, modern, well-laid out. Almost everything is automated, from purchasing your tickets to ordering your snacks. Too late I saw the bar! The best part is definitely the reclining seats. Soooo comfy!
Very clean, nice people and super comfortable reclining loungers. There’s a good sushi place next door for a light bite. Definitely be going back. Saw Top Gun Maverick, great screen and sound system.
