* Review Edit; I Do NOT RECOMMEND AVOID AVOID AVOID* After 2 months of staying here, the rent of the unit went up slightly. I had called to ask why; it’s part of their T&Cs but if I’d like to discuss keeping the rent down I should email, the email given which goes to the store manager. I did this and got no response. When it came to the day of the increase, I called up and spoke to the store manager. He told me he didn’t receive and couldn’t see it -_- . What a coincidence. By the way, this store manager is an absolute condescending snob, FYI. He couldn’t help me regardless, told me that what I was paying was significantly less than the new current rate. How does that even make sense? Nonetheless, I took it the chin and still proceeded to store my items. Another 2 months later, basically by the 4th month, the rent went up again more that double what it was last time. This was final straw, I called up again and was told to email again if price is the issue, that they’re unbeatable on price and didn’t even bother because I knew it would be the same nonsense story again. I then handed in my notice to leave the unit before the end of the month because there was no way I was going to pay that increase or stay. During, this time I managed to find another unit @ Big Yellow which is a 10minute drive away. The unit is an extra 5m2 than what I had here, the price is much less than what I was paying up until the time I left & the price is fixed for 6months - if it does go up after then it’s ever so slight plus 24 hours access too. When I was checking out, I was a day late because I was stranded the day before, I informed them of this and they told me it was fine no problem. I came in the next day, and there’s a red lock on my door . I go downstairs and they said to me I’m overdue, that I need to pay £24 (for 1 day) or the full months ahead rent and they will refund me the balance despite me not being told the day before this was the case. I’m talking to Holly, professionally helping me then Mikey the store manger butts I’m going back and forth with me on options- he was talking to me in such a rude and condescending manner. Sounded so miserable. He was so annoyed he told Holly to charge the full months rent and stormed off extremely childish behaviour. Anyway, I shut that conversation down and went back to speak to Holly. She so lovely and charged the card with only £24 . Strangely enough, the payment bounced back and credited back luckily. I believe their increase is one of their ploys depending on how long you need to stay etc. lost all trust in them as a result and DO NOT RECOMMEND. I do recommend Big Yellow Storage, it’s more value for money and cheaper than here. I did my check in with the store manager there and is a clear gem to their company. ———————————————————- *WHEN I FIRST MOVED in - I had a smooth and successful move in on Saturday. Holly who helped me was absolutely amazing ! Very professional and informative. Kind enough to give me a bigger unit based on my indecisiveness. Would 100% recommend.*

DISHONEST & DID NOT RETURN MY FUNDS 23rd Dec - Unit handed back - I handed back my unit as per my agreement and all payments up to date. 27th Dec - I chase as no one responded to my last email. They then say this: “Good morning , Mike isn’t back in the business until the 8th of January. I will leave this with him to view when he is back in the business.“ 29th Dec - I reply saying this isn’t good enough, I as a customer expect my money back regardless if the manager Mike is on holiday or not. 30th Dec - They ignore my last email and send a generic email saying refunds take 7-10 working days. Totally ignoring my email and not even taking any action. 9th Jan - I email saying I’ve still had no contact, no money refunded and still no emails. 13th Jan - Almost 3 weeks later, no money refunded, no deposit returns, no replies to my emails or any contact. 17th Jan - A month later now, no reply, still ignoring me. No responses to emails, no calls, no money returned to me. Been totally scammed from this company, ignored and just pathetic service. Dishonest company. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM. DO NOT PAY A DEPOSIT AND TRUST THEM. Better to rent a private garage.

Access Self Storage was the first experience of storage that I’ve had. I was a bit confused upon arrival as it seemed that other customers got on with their business, there was no clear instructions. But the staff was so, so helpful and sweet and made the move-in process super easy! The size of the storage room was exactly as described to me so all my belongings went in perfectly. The app is simple and helped speed up the process. Finally, there was this lovely lady at the front desk who helped me out by drawing on the map telling me which lift to take and how long to walk for until reaching my locker. This helped me so much as I was very daunted by how many lockers there were. Shout out to her <3

While I was using their facilities I had no issues. It was when I was moving out I started having problems with their refund system. It took them nearly a month to refund me. I had to chase them up on several occasions and was asked to provide proof. I mean I do not need to go through anything in order to receive my refund just as they should have no issues in receiving their payments. People be careful not to go through a refund process as they will drag it out to the max like we have got no lives. Very dissapointed after a pleasent stay with them. Moving in and taking your money is quick and efficient, but moving out will be hard especially if they have to refund you.

Parking my car at Birmingham Central was an endless nightmare. £1,260 a year & they take no responsibility for your car. Gate is always breaking. You either can't get in to get your car out, or the gate won't close, so at that point there is no secure parking. When asked who was responsible for our cars when the gate wouldn't lock at night i was told "that's why you have insurance" Needing your car at 6am to get to work & the gate won't open in the morning before 8:30 isn't considered an emergency. More than once i had to get a taxi to work as i couldn't get my car out. Took 8weeks & contacting Access three times to get a refund when i removed my car.

After shopping around the quote was the cheapest therefore I went ahead with the access. Once I had confirmed the price, booked and reserved I thought everything was ready until I was told to need to buy insurance. A little more clarify at the time or moving in would have been ideal. I always felt the staff were in a rush to put the phone down. On arrival the facility was okay, does the job. However there was still a padlock on my door which took extra time which I then had to pay the removals for their time too. Overall not too impressed but maybe I shouldn’t have had high expectations.

Excellent service! Sam was fantastic and helpful in determining the best unit for storing our items, providing ongoing assistance and follow-up calls. Holly at the Birmingham branch gave exceptional service. She helped us through a seamless move-in process and was really nice. Nothing was hurried, and everything was explained in depth step by step. Continue your excellent job. The storage is reasonably priced and conveniently located. Accommodated our needs and made us feel excellent about the service. I strongly recommend it!

Easy to access location with lots of storage options. The best thing about here is the staff-everyone I spoke to has been very kind and helpful. The lady who was there when I checked in was so helpful and explained everything clearly, and then answered all my many questions. I arrived about 2 hours before closing on Sunday and the moving van an hour later, but the staff when above an beyond to make sure we had the time to get everything into the unit. Overall, really happy with the choice to store here and highly recommend!

Very impressed with the friendly and efficient service at this self storage facility Birmingham Central. Whenever I called or emailed, they were quick to respond, never left hanging on the line, and always friendly and helpful, ready and able to answer all my questions. Storage was good value particularly with student discount. Have to pay a month in advance but easy to cancel a week before and a refund of any overpayment. Would highly recommend and use again.

I was I need of some storage quite urgently so I headed down to Access Storage in the city centre and was attended to by Holly who was a great help, she showed me the sizes of storage which were the 50sqft and the 75sqft. I went with the 75sqft in the end and it took no longer than 10 minutes to set up with the help of Holly. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for some storage, service was 10/10.

Their security system is really top-notch, which gives me peace of mind. The prices are cheaper than most other storage companies in Birmingham. Plus the place is very clean, tidy and airy. As a company; the process to become a customer feels rather long winded, don't expect the quote received online to necessarily be valid and once an approved customer you need to download their app to manage your account which seems a bit silly. This particularly facility; In a rather scruffy area (so good they close relatively early) but friendly staff.

Everybody who works here is really helpful and approachable. However Sam who helped us through the process from the start is so lovely. The facilities are easy to access and clean. *have now had my unit for 6 months and the price has increased twice in that time which is excessive given that nothing has changed in regards to what you get.

I received quote from them: £14.88 per week. Actual price they charged: £95.(for two suit cases). How they explained price break down: £65 for rent(you can only pay monthly) £20 content protection(I don’t need content protection) £10 lock (this is nonsense to me, lock is your problem, not mine, I’m already paying for storage)

Safe, straight forward process and friendly staff. The App is very good and clever. It generates a different code every time. Just check with the branch as not all of them are 24h access, not that you will really need to have access at 4 am. I needed out of hours access and the staff sorted that for me.
