I bought 3 magnets there. They have a great choice and it was cheaper than in another store on Pier 39 (Only in San Francisco). The store has a good selection of fun gifts and souvenirs. The employers I met were super friendly and answered all my questions to the best of their knowledge. This year, it's not their turn to sell the tour tickets - if you want to buy those, check online who's selling first.

nice little gift shop with plenty of options to choose from! (plenty of shot glasses, clothing, dog clothing, key chains, mug, magnets, playing cards and more!). only downside is that it was a bit cramped as there is so much to choose from and people coming in and out continuously.

They have everything Alcatraz, from T-shirts with great pictures and sayings from Alcatraz's storied past, to playing cards that teach prison slang in between hands of poker. Striped pyjamas for the kids are a hoot. If only they sold the ball-and-chain to complement it.

Lives up to its name has everything alcatraz in it so much fun we bought quite a few souvenirs but if I ever go back I will pick up the metal plates and cup that the prisoners used to eat and drink with lol great gag gift a great tourist stop.

Great selection of Alcatraz themed novelties. Probably over priced but you would expect this from such an historic place. On the day we visited they had an ex guard, 92 years old, singing copies of his book which was an added bonus.

  • Kailee Reuter

History of it is amazing! Half of the audio didn't work in my group of 7. Tickets are expensive so I'm not sure why they didn't spend money on the tour people with mics. if they fix this it would be worth every penny!

  • But Then What?

I love all the touristy merchandise they sell here, and bought my favorite mug from here too! I recommend checking it out if you like Alcatraz or if you need some tourist gifts to bring back to your friends!

It's nice that they have a gift shop on main land for the people that aren't able to go to Alcatraz. This shop was on the second floor. The workers were nice. I bought a snow globe for only $13.

  • Edward Torres

A fun shop! good place to get memorable stuff for the fam or the kids. shirts are awesome be ready to spend since they have a lot of great things of all types!

  • Maine Girl

Mostly striped clothing. They didn't have any Alcatraz stickers but hey had some American flag or San Fran that you could get at any other store there.

  • David Melendez

It's a nice gift shop just a lot of the same things across the board there. Some things are reasonably priced for a gift shop but others overpriced.

  • Jose David

The only store I use my credit card, 3 weeks ago. That's how I know they sold my credit info . Thanx to my bank .they stop the fraud.on my card.

Out of the million suvenier shops there are at Peir 39 my son only loves this one. I can see why. Lots to look at and customer service is great.

  • Lucy

Nice shop. Prices are what you would expect for a tourist shop. There's cheaper places about 4 blocks from the pier. It's nice to browse.

  • Vasny Casillas

A lot of cute stuff but extremely crowded and no AC and unfortunately I was there during really high temperatures. But really cute stuff

  • Lucy Leon

It was really fun the gift shop first because it is like a jail 2nd because all the prison stuff they have and last for the view

  • Jeff Hunt

Pretty cool clothing but of course being at Pier 39 most things are expensive. Pretty decent choice of commercialized clothing

  • Erwan Martin

I don't really like this shop. They don't have a lot of high-quality items. The store of the Alcatraz Island is much better!

  • Tomisin Adeshiyan

Really nice gift shop. Perfect for every type of tourist. You'll definitely leave with some knick-knacks and souvenirs

  • Michael Burdock

What a location, difficult to review on paper. If you are in San Francisco I would highly recommend a trip.

  • Cathy Hansen

Disappointed shop did not have any sixes in clothing above a 2X. Would have bought shirts if larger size.

  • Rj Sauceda

Kinda over priced and the employee's / owners are a bit rude. But hey still bought the prison stuff.

231114TU. Being in the main tourist area, price are affordable. Nice souvenirs in there.

  • Valerie L

Their clothing is at least one, sometimes two sizes too small, and the cut is wrong.

  • Dr. Doom

Basic gift shop. Purchased a "Karl" globe but it had to be shipped because of TSA.

  • tom brown

We got our can cozy and beanie hat per usual, not over priced for tourist stuff.

  • Jeff Clark

The staff was very rude and followed people around like they were shoplifters

  • Nicholas Wamalwa Omondi

One of the best gift shops around Pier 39. You'll fair prices on all items.

Even got a pic with an inmate Bill Barker and a signed book he wrote …

Interesting things. Could use another cashier. Long line to pay for items
