If you are looking to get a authentic Cuban sandwich this is NOT the place for it.. An authentic Cuban sandwich consists of ham, pork, cheese, mustard, pickles and the works is optional (lettuce & tomatoes etc) and what you get here is a good amount of ham and SALAMI, a very LIGHT layer of shaved pork spread along the bread, cheese, mustard and pickles on a cuban bread toasted.. I never have had a Cuban Sandwich with salami in it, also asked for the works and got pickles only.. Their Guava pastries are eehh, nothing special about them.. This bakery is over priced; I give it a 3/5.. REPLY TO OWNER:: IT'S MY OPINION, don't see why you so offended by it.. If u aim to please you OBVIOUSLY FAILED for I asked for a CUBANO REGULAR SIN MOSTAZA CON LECHUGA Y TOMATES in Spanish to make sure I was understood YET Received the "Tampa Cuban" wit no lettuce or tomatoes.. It wasn't to my liking and definitely not what I expected or know as an AUTHENTIC Cuban; my dog did enjoy it though .. If I would've known it had salami, I would've asked for it to be removed or taken my happy a** somewhere else.. I've visited your bakery 2ce (including recent visit) within a 3.5 yrs time period and I highly doubt I will ever return nor recommend your bakery to others.. C U NEVER.. AGAIN THIS IS MY OPINION, NO NEED TO GET OFFENDED BY IT.. Good Bye!!!!

Pretty good bakery in Tampa. However, they hire some really tired, bored, rude girls to work the counter. It's that Miami Cuban feel. I stood there for 25 minutes on one side of the store with three other customers, and they walk by and look at us. Since the renovation, they only serve on the other side, but they ring you up on this side. The food is worth it, but the service attitude sells me out of going here. It would have been nice to see a sign or have one of the three girls who saw and ignored us all tell us that we needed to get in line on the new side. I REALLY hated leaving a tip this time. Really.

My Mom immigrated to Chicago from Cuba in the 60s. I grew up eating cuban pastries and snacks like the ones sold at Angelitos. Any time someone visited Miami they were sure to bring back some pastelitos as Miami sat on the throne of Cuban baked goods. In my opinion, Angelitos in Tampa now sits atop the throne. I drive 40 minutes each way to get croquetas, empanadas, papa rellena, pastelitos de queso y guayaba, pastelitos de carne, and capuchinos. The food from this bakery reminds me so much of my late Abuela. There's really nothing you can order here that will disappoint you. I've tried just about everything except for the sandwiches. Their coffee is fantastic. Their prices are extremely reasonable. There is always a line here no matter what time I stop by. The staff is helpful but they are direct to keep the line moving. I always visit Angelitos whenever I visit Tampa or St. Pete. I can't wait to come back so I can visit this bakery again.
I had an order done for a Cake and some cupcakes and all of my instructions were disregarded. The only thing they complied with was the dinosaur theme but got the colors on everything completely wrong. The front desk lady only said sorry after we were leaving, but did not offer any solutions or discounts for their mistakes, even after she saw our instructions written on her paper order and saw the colors were wrong. The Cake was nothing too great either by the way, the only good part was the layer of Dulce de Leche. The frosting was made with Permanent ink, my fingers remained stained even after washing with soap. I have purchased other goods from here and was always satisfied, but they messed it up big time this time around.

Birthday Cake
I purchased 2 different cakes from this bakery, one was chocolate marble priced at about $35.00 and a pineapple flavored cake for about $26.00. The cakes tasted okay for spending over $75.00. The customer service is okay, and there are definitely areas they need to fix. For example I am not Hispanic and do not speak Spanish, and most of the worker's did not speak/understand English. I'm not against only speaking your native language, but if you're running a business in America you should have a couple worker's who can actually take care of the Non Spanish speakers, so it is not difficult for your English speaking customers to receive service. I saw the owner likes to read and comment on the reviews, so I am hoping he takes this as constructive criticism.
I have been going to this place for like 5 years now and always meet my expectations. I brought a big cake to my work place none of them are hispanic so they never tried something like it and they loved it, some of the went there to get one for their families. The place is small but is a to go place which make it the right size. The location is really good and easy to find. Clean place and the staff are very friendly and have knowledge about the products. The quality is very high. I love this Bakery is my favorite in Tampa. The breakfast OMG what can i say that coffee is AMAZING and the toast are delicious. Best Cuban breakfast you can get in Tampa Florida. Super mega highly recommended to any nationality person anyone will love this place is the best.
In the mood for Cuban pastries, and finger food. Went to Angelito's authentic Cuban bakery. The place was clean, neat, and all the attendants looked professional, and catered to your needs. A lot to choose from. Everything looked fresh. i ordered a Cuban sandwich made to order. A Masterva a mate like-tea soft drink, cold. Ordered guava pastries, cheese pastries, and guava/ cheese patties. Everything was delicious, yummy, tender in texture, and tasty. They offer a variety of pastries, breads, sandwiches, fruit shakes, soft drinks, and definitely cafe or coffee with milk or however you want it. I'll definitely comeback. There's so many Cuban delicacies to choose from.
Ordered a tres leches cake for a birthday. It we out of the Ballpark wonderful. Pricey 72.00 for a1/4 sheet. But truly a hit amongst guest. Also ordered cuban sandwiches. Had I known they're using Italian bread for Cubans I would not have gotten them. Dry, bland & the bread overpowered the meat. Disappointed on the sandwiches.Someone picked the order up for me otherwise I would have had them remade. I am getting another order for a birthday. Hopefully it's good as the cake. I'd recommend this place & will give it another shot.. Although they did not make me feel welcomed. Perhaps the ladies were having a bad day... Blessings to your establishment Sir.
An incredible local gem. It’s a bakery and confectionery that sells all the good old Caribbean Spanish food. Pastelillitos, Empanadas, Quesitos, bizcochos, sandwiches, and more. They have expanded the locale recently and this has allowed for a much better customer flow as they are a high volume bakery. Place is clean and bright and full of color. Good service and great food. Do yourself a favor and get a breakfast sandwich if you can.
First time here and the pastries were as fresh as I've ever tasted. fantastic Cuban sandwiches also. This place was packed with locals but they had several staff members to accommodate everyone quickly. The prices were very reasonable and there was a very large variety of pastries to choose from. If you're looking for these types of pastries and Cuban sandwiches I would highly suggest you give this place a try
I came for vacation to Florida with my family and we were looking for around for a bakery and we found this one after reading the reviews we decided to give it a try. We got empanadas de carne which were delicious, we also got some pastellitos de guava con quezo and some with quezo, and they were bomb.I read alot of bad reviews for customer service and I have to say the service was very good.
Went there on recommendation and i wanted to get desserts for 10 people in my working crew! I waited on the desert section for at least 15 min and when I asked someone for help she said to join the lane on the other side of the store which was for sandwiches, bread etc! They had registers on both sides! I’m guessing the best times are early mornings.
Not to bad , the cakes are really good ,customer service not to much I asked for a tiramisu and it was super old , I had to through it away. I actually drive over 1 hour every time to come here, last time I Ordered a package and when I got there they didn’t have half of I asked I will be back but just for cakes …
Best cuban sandwich in the Tampa area! Hands down! Also, best cafe con leche, just like at home.

This place is pretty darn good. The Pastries are amazing especially the cream cheese ones - WOW! Sandwiches are really good. Just don't go during lunch rush because you will be there forever. Customer service skills are lacking with the servers but the food is really good.
I was visiting from Nebraska and decided to stop to have some home food I order a pan con croqueta and Cuban sandwich only got one sandwich one of the girls had a bad actitud and a horrible customer service. The environment was cleaned and organized other than that.
I tried to place a small order by phone. I gave them my order. They then asked me to wait on hold and to not hang up. I started driving to the location, 15 minutes later I arrive as t the location. I tell the attendant that I still on hold. They did not care.
I have been going to this bakery since I moved here in 1985. It has been the best bakery for cakes, pastries and cuban sandwiches since then. The quality changed a little when it became "Angelito's" La Caridad but it has improved. Still my favorite bakery
Thought I would give this place a try. Worst decision of my life. Old breads and flavorless pastries. The meat pies taste like they were made at least 5 days ago. I don’t trust anything this place serves. They really serve this to humans. Disgusting.
Ordered a media noche and mango smoothie. The sandwich was very bland and the smoothie tasted like blended milk. I had asked if they could add mango to the smoothie and the worker said I had to PAY for a new one for them to remake it… WTH
I dont stop often because of schedule conflict but I won't anymore. Can not feel welcome when the last three of four times, items we buy to take are poorly served and/or burnt. First a burnt coconut flan and then a pudding...they don't
This bakery right here is hands down one of the best Spanish bakeries I've been to in awhile they have all kinds of pastries sandwiches cakes you name it they got it it's right near our job so me and my husband stop here frequently
Perfect bakery we needed for our visit to Tampa. Grew up in Miami and moved away. Was so excited to visit and was not disappointed. Delicious and great service. The ladies that were working every time we visited were friendly and

Great place! Been coming here since 2019 and I am very pleased everytime. Cafe con Leche with a guava pastry and jamon croquetas are my go to! Media noche is a great breakfast sandwich. Give it a shot won't be disappointed
Excellent place to order Sandwiches, Pastries, drinks, Cafe con Leche. Great Service, pleasant staff and cozy atmosphere. I Love the stand up hang out and eat ambiance. So relaxingly different. Go experience and enjoy.
Visiting family in the area we stopped at La Caridad to buy guava and meat pasteleros. I was impressed with the cleanliness and nice displays. There are two sides to the bakery which is confusing for new customers.
We order a Cuban sandwiches, for my understanding it includes pickles, mustard, Swiss cheese and turkey. What we had was salami, pork and ham, we lacked of the rest. Coffee was the only thing that was good.
Their customer service is the worst. They are not willing to make things right for the client. Not only they make mistakes with the orders but their prices are high for this type of food!!! …
First time there. Pastries bread and sandwiches. Can't wait to try other stuff. We had the Egg ham and cheese and a guava cheese pastry. Check them out after a night at the hard rock. They open at 5AM.
Loved the extension they made recently! The food has always been great. Truly, no changes through the years. I love the fact that customer service is better. I'll go back for breakfast every week!!
4/16/2023 10:03 am, An employee was serving a customer and others were putting products, we were only two people. The ones that were putting out products ignored me, the one that was serving the
All I have to say is this bakery gives Vicky Bakery in Miami a run for its money. Smells good and tastes good. Everything is well proportioned. I'm glad I dropped by. Thank you for your service!
The best pressed Cubans and extremely Delicious pastries! I drive an hour to get these items customer service would be better if I spoke Spanish, but I don't, the service is good though. …
Love this bakery. There is nothing there that will dissapoint. The staff is friendly, the choices plentiful and FRESH. I pick up pastries for my team and made converts to Spanish delights.
The girls are really nice and service was good but it took for ever to get a coffee and 2 pastries due to the big line. They need more people working so the line goes faster!!!!!
Great bakery and staff very happy with the birthday cake I ordered for my daughter birthday... the cake was delicious, moist and the perfect level of sweetness. ❤️
Your mouth will water as soon as you enter the doors, amazing fresh baked goods. There’s really not much they don’t have, wonderful selection to choose from.
when I travel to Tampa this is the first place I go to , cuban pastries are the best.
