For what was previously an old WW2 radar station and is now a Scout campsite, it is a wonderful place to stay. It has and is being worked on constantly by the Wardens staying there, of which I currently am one of them, to make the stay of our guest more enjoyable. Great location to start hikes from, host events or just enjoy a sunset.

An amazing camp site for scouts, and probably the only camp site I know of on signal hill, with an amazing view to boot. What the wardens have accomplished with restoring this facility in such a short space of time is remarkable.

Excellent camp venue. Just above the city bowl. View was stunning. The added bonus was the owner giving the cub scouts a talk and slide show on his trips across the atlantic ocean in a row boat, walking to aouth pole

It is the only property on signal hill that is out for hire and its close proximity to Lion's head makes a day hike to the summit a viable camp activity. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time spent at Appleton.

Great place where Scouts can share the opportunity with all to experience nature and mountains right in the centre of the city. Hope we able to give many more kids this opportunity especially the townships.

Unfortunately it only for scouts, but is a wonderful experience to camp above the city of Cape Town with spectacular views of the city, Lions Head, Table Mountain and the sea.

The lawn overlooking Clifton offers breathtaking views of the sunset. Well kept flora and friendly fauna makes this a great getaway nestled atop the city.

This is a stunning Scouting venue with beautiful vistas of Table Mountain, Cape Town and Sea Point. Definitely worth booking as a Scouting Camp.

Not a lot happening at Appleton but a great base to sleep at and hike from (up lions head and table mountain which are so close)

What a lovely place to have a gathering. Team building turns out more fun than I thought it would in this nice secluded spot.
