The lady that works there or runs the place is very friendly, the price is unbeatable BUT for those whom own a caravan for leisure purposes and who camps for fun, this is NOT the place for you. On googling Kay's, the pics look great, swimming pool - didn't see one, 24hr security - yes they have to have because this is white informal settlement. You cannot unpack and get comfortable, its not safe. There are 2 bathrooms for all the sites they have available, no toilet paper, no shower curtains. Basic would be an over statement. No playground for kids to play at. It is however conveniently close to shops and Stand beach.

I was not impressed with the caravan park. Contractors in the park. Were loud music and shouting at night after 22h30.dogs making noises. The solution block not up standard We feel was not what we saw in the Internet. There is no security guards or gates in the caravan park there is no standard and rules in the caravan park .when we arrived at the park we had to look for the place to report on the arrival. And phone the office to be attended to. The park was not on the beach front .washing lines with overols and lines with underwear all over the camp. Thanks. Thank you Driena(reception) and Edward(night security) we enjoyed ourselves. The plots are big, you can braai, nice ablution and dish washing area, 10 min walk to the beach. The kids loved the walk. Close to shops and has a shop with all essentials. Kids played soccer and rugby. We enjoyed ourselves.

Its a quiet mellow place without the dramas outside the park. The permanent residents live on the fringes of society and ask nothing but peace. The Lourens river is our border which in its turn the border of the small ecosystem all along the river' banks upriver and downriver as well.

Kays Caravan Park at the back is full of little wooden huts, with permanent residents living there. The caravan park in the front is well kept, nice solutions although small, several permanent caravans parked on the grounds. I wouldn't like to stay there if I was on holiday.

These photographs of Kay's caravan park is deceiving. It's no longer a camping site. It looks nothing like the photo's, in fact, this place is derelict. The gravel road is bad, in a poor state of affairs, potholes and all. Old mattresses are dumped on the roadside.

Went to offer Audiology help to dwellers in this area as part of community service. The point is to identify hearing loss before it's too late. Offering free Audiology screening as part of health community campaigns. Enjoyed very much.

I stayed there for a month with some co workers. The service was good and the location is also nice, it's a ten minute walk to strand beach. The structures however need some up keep, but the community living there is great

Drina the caretaker is dear, very helpful and the camp feels like a family, everyone is very friendly. The shop in the camp has everything you will need and prices of items are very good.

Nice place only problem the water ran out toilets and showers did not have water dont know if it works with tanks or something but other than that very nice place friendly ppl

The staff is friendly. Amblitions is a nightmare disaster and uhm sorry, but i camp with campers, not roadworkers and share the amblitions with them. …

Very clean and tidy. Friendly service and working amenities. Walking distance to the beach in one direction and walking distance to a local grocery store in the other.

Peaceful and quiet nice get away for hole family and the staff attends to your every need and they are very friendly thank you guys for a lovely week

Compared to other parks this one is small and the ablution block is primitive but the stands are grassed and good maintained

Very untidy. Dirty and I don't think very safe due to the permanent people staying just on the other side of the fence.
