Someone was sitting in a car on a Sunday morning. Just sat there and revved their motor every few minutes. Was there when we arrived, still there when we left. A man in a truck told us we couldn't skate on tennis court. Which is impressive because 1) It was a Sunday morning 2) We hadn't even been there for 10 minutes. 3) There's no posted signs about skating. 4) Biggest factor, this tennis court is so damaged and split and covered with debris it's difficult to use anyway. Broken glass, leaves, trash, and thick patches of grass growing through it. We're just starting out and very green. I highly doubt we could've done much, if anything, to damage that court more than it already is. That coupled with the unwanted "audience" sitting in the car the whole time was just really off-putting.

The City of Jacksonville has done a nice job of updating this park to include more pickle ball courts. There are three small baseball fields, one large baseball field, one full size basketball court, and now offers twelve (12) pickle ball courts. The pickle ball courts can be very busy, especially early morning before it gets hot. By 11:00am I find courts nearly empty. The basic rules are posted on the fence to highlight skill level for each court and some rotation rules when it’s super busy. When courts are empty you can play wherever you want for as long as you want.

Small and quiet, it wasn't what I was expecting, but I could see how this could be a great place for locals to shoot some hoops or a quick picnic. Most of the park is occupied by various courts, I saw basketball and baseball specifically, but there were others I probably didn't notice. We were there for a picnic but had to leave rather quickly due to a storm.

I mean, I wouldn't necessarily call it a park, more so a parking lot, tennis court, "picnic area". Looks like the park garbage dumpster is a public dumping area. It was meh, at best. Although, it could double as a nifty place to do a deal or get some strange on the sly. I mean, I guess that could be the case. Stay Classy, Jacksonville!

Bathrooms were a mess! No toilet paper in either restroom. Also, another thing worth mentioning is the HUGE dirt mound in the SMALL parking area which is taking up two parking spaces. Not sure what is going on here. Only thing positive to mention is the back t-ball field that our game was played on was in decent shape.

I love this park it has like 5 or 6 Pokéstops and 2 gyms so if you play a lot of Pokémon go it’s perfect. Always clean and the bathrooms aren’t locked during the day so you actually can use the restroom if you need to More

Great place for the children to play their ball games at. Concession stand, all fenced in around the ball park. They also have tennis courts for the adults. My dogs love walking to and around it.

  • Jason Gano

They have cleaned it up but it still could use some work. They did just put in a nice basketball court though. And re did the surface of the tennis courts. We love playing pickle ball there.

I don't dislike the park but it looks like it's not being maintained. Kids can run around some. It has couple baseball fields and tennis courts but overall it's in bad shape.

Why would you place a t-ball field next to a water treatment plant that reeks of hydrogen sulfide? Or debate federal USABAT standards, hope we don't play here ever again.
