We were recommended by a friend to go to assagay feeds as they have the cheapest horse food. She even quoted me the price for the feed. How disappointing to know that we have people that are rude, unfriendly, unhelpful, unethical and dnt keep to their word at the Assagay Feed Store. We called them before we went to the store to find out if they have stock and the price etc. We were quoted R259 on the feed ( the same price that my friend told me ). We ordered 3 bags because they were currently out of stock. The lady who took the call asked us for our contact number name etc and said she would phone when it comes through. We didnt receive the call. So we went to the store. They had stock but it was not the same price of R259. In three days the price went up to R279. We tried to enquire about the price increase and tried to explain that we called 3 days earlier and it was R259, but the rude and aggressive lady didn't want to hear anything. It doesnt cost a business anything to have friendly helpful and staff that are smiling. It just makes your shopping experience much better. ASSAGAY FEEDS UP YOUR STANDARDS.

After many recommendations to buy my guinea pigs food at Assagay Feeds I decided to stop whilst on route from PMB back to Durban North. I burst into the store shortly before closing on a Friday afternoon in a frenzy after having been stuck in traffic. The manager kindly assisted and organised the 'good stuff' from the back and then gave me directions to get back onto the highway. The cost of the hay and pellets was extremely good, my piggies are happy and I will definitely make the trip again! 5 stars for service and for value.

This is an awesome pet store! They have so much to offer, whether you own a horse or a cat and much in between. This is my go to store! Lots of parking, wheelchair access, well stocked and everyone is so friendly and helpful. Prices are excellent! I highly recommend these guys. It is worth the drive!

Went there hoping to buy cat food. Didn't find any in the shop and there didn't appear to be any staff on the shop floor to ask for help. I don't think anyone noticed me arrive and neither did they notice me leave. Go to The Hitchin' Post rather, you'll be greeted and helped the minute you walk in.

Excellence friendly service from the owner of the store and from Dianne and from the delivery guys! They are much more affordable than my local pet stores for dog food and treats (The Bagsowags range to be specific - my dogs are addicts).

The owner very good and the blonde short haired girl so friendly a pleasure too see them, I buy Cockatiel seed there much cheaper.....They have seen me with my helmet on often in the store....Great service indeed …
