I rented a car with AVIS, it was for a weekend. The car broken down when I was about to come back, I was driving abroad. I called the help and it took at least 4 hours to receive the tow, when the mechanic was there, he just wanted to tow the car because it was not in good conditions to continue driving, after that I had to find a hotel to stay one more night and pay for the costs, hotel and transportation. In the second day I had a replacement car, I drove back to the Netherlands and delivered the car in the location of this third company. The process when a car break down is very stressful and not organized, the customer care is ridiculous and they don't care about the costumer, we need to solve everything by ourselves and after to receive the refund of the expenses is very unclear and it seems that the process can be very long and not sure if is possible to get the money back. Also, the deposit of 1.100 is still reserved in my credit card and the information from Avis is that the car is still in France, they can only release the deposit when the car gets back in the Netherlands, but it has not forecast for when the car will be back and it can takes weeks. Finally, I spent more money than I should, I have my credit card blocked, I'm not sure if I'm going to refund the money and the company didn't give any compensation for the situation that I had to face. It is the worse company to rent a car ever. I don't recommend and I will never rent with them again.

We were a regular customer of Europcar in Enschede for more than 5 years before moving to Utrecht. Since moving here, we booked a rental from here twice in November. My husband and brother-in-law (who was visiting us from India) went to pick up the car. The first time, when we asked them to add our brother-in-law as a co driver, they said no since his Indian drivers license looks fake (also not in a friendly manner). We had to accept because the final decision is theirs. The second time, again with our brother-in-law, we asked them again about adding him as a co-driver and the person at the counter said it looks like the license was made on the road! This person was extremely unfriendly and I think the racist undertone of this comment is pretty evident. We had read about the really bad reviews of this branch of Europcar but still decided to give them a chance since we were a regular customer of Europcar in Enschede and were happy there. After this incident, we will not be going back. You should be treating your paying customers with more respect.

My experience here were great! The lady who worked for 30 years in Europcar was very friendly and provided all the information I needed. Her colleague helped me check the car and explained some functionalities. I booked a VW Golf (or similar level) then received a SEAT Toledo with an even larger trunk! Very convenient for our 3 luggage. I returned the car on Sunday when the office was closed, but there was a little box to put the keys in. And I received the correct invoice on Monday with exactly what I should pay for. No surprises. So I guess the previous bad reviews came from: 1. rules changes 2. personnel differences 3. mutual trust, at least I wasn't asked to provide a bank account information. Only my ID and driver's license. Therefore I could definitely recommend this local office to other travelers. No risks.

Be very careful when hiring anything from here. They will try to take as much money from you as possible. Be especially careful when hiring over the weekend, because even if you did not cause damage, they WILL charge you for damage that may have happened on their own property. They lied about not having cameras on their property, and then refused to let me look at the footage. Just makes me wonder why they won't let me see the footage. Of course they come up with, "there is nothing here, you must have caused the damage". If it were up to me, I would never hire from here ever again. I am scared to lose hundreds of euros. Also, be aware, they charge you the insurance amount before actually hiring the van or car. This should be a huge red flag.

Moet de auto uiterlijk 18u terug brengen, gevraagd of we hem om 18.30 terug konden brengen maar dat was niet mogelijk omdat ze om 18u sluiten. Om 17.40 waren we daar. Deur al dicht met een groot bord " gesloten", geen personeel meer en telefoon niet beantwoordt. Er stond nog een autohuurder die ook voor 18u de gehuurde auto terug moest brengen. Uiteindelijk foto's gemaakt van de auto (binnen en buiten) en de sleutel in de brievenbus gedaan. Slechte zaak dat ze tot 18u open horen te zijn en vervolgens al eerder dichtgaan en de auto's niet in ontvangst nemen

Wij huren zakelijk bij Europcar. Ondanks alle negatieve reviews die hier staan , zijn wij mega tevreden. Medewerkers denken mee , lossen problemen op, regelen snel de reserveringen. Zowel Kees als Jurgen hebben mij altijd netjes te woord gestaan en geholpen. Beleid van een bedrijf zou niet verhaald moeten worden op medewerkers in persoon. Jammer dat mensen dit toch doen. petje af voor alle hulp! verder: auto's zijn altijd goed schoon en goed onderhouden/nieuw. Ik heb nog nooit problemen gehad met een auto die ik hier heb gehuurd!

De auto prima ontvangen. Alleen een medewerker die hier achter de balie werkt is echt absoluut niet klantvriendelijk. Hij doet ontzettend kleinerend tegen zijn klanten. Dit zelf twee keer meegemaakt en een keer gezien bij de klant voor ons. Zo hadden wij netjes de auto teruggebracht met een volle tank en werd de medewerker boos, omdat het niet bij het (volgens hem) goede tankstation was, terwijl ons hier niks over vertelt is toen wij de auto meekregen.

I rented a van from Avis, after returning it I realized I had forgotten my AirPods Pro in the van. After looking in the “find my” app I could see they were used at this Avis location. When I called them they knew nothing about any AirPods even though I could see the exact date and time they were at this location. So long story short, someone working for Avis has stolen my AirPods Pro, and the company refuses to take any responsibility.

Slecht verhuur bedrijf. Lekke band kost je een eigen risico van 300 E en dan leggen ze onder protest een thuiskomer eronder voor je. In eerste instantie sturen ze je naar een bandencentrum op een zondagochtend bij -7 graden en een autohuur van 2 dgn. Hier huur je géén mobiliteit. Zeer late respons van de debiteuren afdeling en klantenservice. Gecorrigeerde factuur na 2cmaanden nog niet ontvangen. De lijst is lang !

Via Avis een huurauto laten afleveren op het Utrecht Science Park. Deze hebben ze daar niet op een parkeerplek gezet waardoor deze een wielklem heeft gekregen. Na contact te hebben gezocht zouden ze uitzoeken wat ze voor mij konden doen en mij terugbellen. Ze hebben nooit meer wat van zich laten horen en mij gewoon laten staan.

Ik huur al een paar jaar regelmatig een auto bij deze vestiging via Oproepauto. Ik ben altijd vriendelijk geholpen door de mensen achter de balie. Het zijn prima, schone, nette auto’s en ik heb ook nooit een probleem rondom schade gehad. Kortom, ik ben tevreden.

Geen communicatie. 2 dagen geleden een bus aangevraagd (waar we zogenaamd na 4 uur iets over zouden horen) en pas na zelf te bellen, een dag van tevoren te horen krijgen dat er helemaal niks beschikbaar is (ook niet in de andere filialen in de buurt).

Fijne goedkope autoverhuur. Nette service, fijne auto. Ik had drie dagen een auto nodig en kon hier voor minder dan 100 euro terecht. Auto was gloednieuw en reed prima, de medewerker achter de balie heel vriendelijk en correct.

Klantenservice mag wel grote les klantvriendelijkheid gebruiken.. Wat een heks aan de telefoon en maar blijven schreeuwen.. zeker verkeerde been uit bed gestapt of ongesteld maar maak van bedrijf z’n probleem niet ons probleem.

Goed en erg vriendelijk geholpen bij het inleveren van de gehuurde vakantieauto. De auto zelf was ruim, luxe en schoon. De kilometervrije actie was de reden om met een huurauto op vakantie te gaan.

Kleine upgrade gekregen, borg binnen 1 dag terug fijne auto. Kleine punten: eerste streep benzine was wel heel snel weg dus waarschijnlijk niet vol, auto was niet goed schoongemaakt

Rented a Toyota Aygo for the weekend for a good price from Avis in this location. Car was new and had no issues. Quick and easy booking and pick-up process, friendly people.

Be careful! Cars don't have a parking disk! We had to walk through the rain with our groceries for half a km, because we needed a parking disk to park at the supermarket.
