I will not dissect one-by-one which pastry was good and how good. I will say that on my first-ever visit to San Antonio, in for barely two days for business, I made it a point to drop by this bakery. By French standards, the pastries were reasonably good. By American standards they were very good. The Kouign-Amann stole the show, albeit I'd have preferred it without the tartness of the lemon curd — although it was light, lovely and distinctive. I understand it as an identifier that sets apart from other bakeries. What I will commend like no other was the service. I came in, querying about some of the ingredients, for medical reasons. I was provided with an explicit list of all the ingredients in every pastry. I then went pn to order myriad goods and requested butters and jams on the side. I was given a hefty, overly generous amount. When I paid, there was an error on the bill – I was charged for three kouign-amanns rather than two. I only noticed it later when I got back to my hotel, the Emily Grand, from which I hiked over through the River Walk on this sweltering day. Before leaving the bakery, I went over to get cold water; the tank was empty and promptly refilled at my request, and a lidded-cup of ice water handed to me. When I called from the hotel some thirty minutes later and brought up the error on the receipt, it was refunded instantly and I received a confirmation email. The refund came with profuse apologies from management for the inconsequential error, apologies that were not necessary but exhibited graciousness and top-tier human relations. The next morning, when I returned to the bakery before flying out, I was greeted by management and given multiple compensatory pastries for the day before's mishap. Nothing I would have ever expected nor asked for, which in a scything, bureaucratic world left my mouth ajar. My husband also ordered a cold brew and a wonderful butter cake, while I an iced tea. Some ten minutes later, before I even had a chance to get around to the tea (for photographing food), the barrista came over to our table and profusely apologized that she had given us a hot tea rather than iced, and brought the latter with her, saying, "So sorry! Enjoy both!" I had forgotten what I ordered, and had not said so much as a word — she remembered all on her own and took initiative. Admirable and commendable. Now I fly back to Florida wishing Floridians had half the etiquette, respect, politeness, moral framework and humanity of Texans. Service at this bakery was sublime. I would give it 6 stars if I could, and will surely be back if and when I end up in San Antonio again. Food is good, vibe is awesome. Some of the best customer service I have ever witnessed in the world.

Horrible service. Granted, they were busy on Saturday morning around 11 a.m. $25 for a dry, cold croissant, a cinnamon roll, a couple apple juices and a cappuccino. Then prompted to add a tip when I'm paying after clearly advising the order was 'for here' and not 'to go' but given a paper bag with pastries and told we have no clean plates and waived away was insulting (they serve cooked food from the kitchen yet ran out of plates). We find a seat and a server brings the 'for here' cappuccino as I ordered. I asked about the plates and the fact that the pastries are cold. She took the bag and brought back the same bag 15 minutes later with heated pastries. I reminded her this was always for here and should be on plates. She brought me a plate. I left my party inside and left very annoyed and upset, never finishing even the cappuccino; the one thing that was correct. I'm visiting from out of town and this place has left a very sour taste. I could have gone to anywhere fast food for the same service and quality.

Delicious cake, delightful vibe, excellent customer service! The cafe smells so good when you walk in, that you'll be drawn to buy something from the bakery even if you walked in for coffee. Which is exactly what happened with us. When serving me my red velvet cake, the guy accidentally moved the top chocolate of the other slice and gave it to me for free since the shape got messed up. Such a sweet guy. Now for the actual taste, the white chocolate slice on top of the red velvet was really delicious, and the cream was super fluffy and not too sweet. The tiramisu cake was also delicious and not too sweet, which is perfect. Their indoor outdoor seating all looked very aesthetic. Looks like a great place to study/work at or just chill with friends (which is what I did). Saw lots of families with little kids there as well. Will have to try the macaroons the next time I go. Would definitely go back again. Highly recommend for the vibe and the bakery (haven't tried the coffee yet so don't know much about that).

Expect nothing but the best. Located in the Pearl, it is on the corner inside the pearl surrounded by Botika, the Culinary Institute, and Hotel Emma. The best Parisian pastries you will find anywhere in this city. A lot of hard work and love goes into these creations. You can stop by for a trendy photo shoot because the location has incredible artwork inside and adorable seating outside with the Pearl as your backdrop. You can get breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. You can get their famous macarons and see why they are so popular. You can also get any coffee your heart desires. I dont drink coffee so I ask for an iced vanilla milk when I go and it's delicious. The pastries are all delicious and change seasonally. They also do cakes that will blow your mind with the level of creativity. You will find this is one of the top bakeries in San Antonio and for good reason. They care about their customers, they strive for perfection, and will only give you the best.

I wanted to try something outside of the indoor food court, and figured how could I go wrong with a bakery that seemed busy. Everything on display in the glass cases looked incredibly good. I decided, at a recommendation to try their big cookies for desert. They were both very good. Before those, I opted for The Cuban, which is Roasted pork loin, jambon, fontina, arugula, pickle and dijonnaise. Comes with a side of kettle chips and a pickle spear. It was grilled or toasted. It was also very good. Place was pretty busy, but they moved the line pretty quick and brought your food to you when ready. Seemed a little costly for what you get, but if you’re prepared for it, and ok with it, then you know what you’re getting in to. My Sandwich with chips and pickle was $14 I believe. Don’t remember the cost of the cookies. I wouldn’t hesitate to try this place again.

This place is soooo cute! I love the cute interior and artsy vibe. Sadly with COVID, they weren't allowing anyone to sit inside and eat, but the lady said they will be opening next week. I was looking forward to desserts but by the time we went there, they were closing, so we didn't have much choice. Went with macarons and coffee. I really loved their earl grey macaron. The orange macaron was delicious too. Raspberry dark chocolate was okay for me. 6 macarons comes in a box for $13. They had another vanilla? macaron with alcohol but we didn't try that one. Anyways, the macaron was on a smaller side but the texture was so soft and chewy! I think when this place opens for dining in, it would be perfect to chill with friends or come study. It's in the Pearl district (like citycentre in Houston) and they have other restaurants and shops nearby too.

First the good: the macarons and the grapefruit tiramisu were excellent. The prices aren't the worst, but be aware they are a bit pricey. Now the bad: the staff are rude and not helpful at all. After a long wait in line we reach the register and the gentleman asks us what we had ordered when clearly we hadn't. The girl that was supposed to ask us what we would like - didn't. She seemed preoccupied with who knows what. Being our first time there, we had no idea how it all worked and from the looks of things neither do their staff. The vibe is generally "you need us, we don't need you." If my review seems a one off, read the reviews prior to mine. Also notice how the management or ownership does not reply to subpar reviews. Too bad. Well, we won't be back. If you do decide to give them a shot I only hope it is on a good day.

This place was a nice stop for a snack in the Pearl District of San Antonio. My husband & I came here while on our honeymoon prior to big dinner plans, but as we were walking through the city; we got a little hungry. We shared a patty melt, which was very delicious and we halved a homemade pop-tart too, which was also really yummy! We had never had "homemade" pop-tarts (only store bought) and we were super impressed! The iced lattes were perfect too. We're not those people who get flavors or sweeteners added to ours, but we were surprised with the strong flavor because back home in middle Tennessee; we seem to have to add an extra shot of espresso or else; our iced lattes where we're from taste real milky, but these from Bakery Lorraine were absolutely amazing. We even ordered some macaroons to take home!

I’ve been coming here for years, but today I received the worst service. I nicely asked the lady who was working at the pastry counter how much a certain pastry was and she rudely said, “whatever it says up there” as she pointed at the menu. She saw my disbelief reaction and she then said the price. Honestly, what would have it cost her to just say the price. I myself work in customer service and I would never respond to a paying patron the way she did. I was not rude, just asking a simple question to an employee. I know this is a very busy establishment and I’m assuming your staff thinks that they could get away with responding to customers the way she did because of this, but that is not right. Hope you all can fix this soon as you will quickly lose customers like myself if this continues.

This is my favorite bakery and I always make sure to eat here when I’m visiting. Though the food is good, what really makes Loraine’s worth going to is the pastry’s and treats! and nice calm place to get breakfast or brunch while catching up on work or with a friend. The almond croissant is one of my favorites though it is on the sweeter side so if you’re not in the mood for sweets I’d go with a regular croissant. I love their macaroons, and their fruit tarts! For lunch the tomato basil soup with the cheesy bread is one of my personal favorites! The breakfast sandwich is pretty basic and what’d you’d expect. Warning the coffee normally comes really hot when you get it to go.

  • Oui C'est Moi ValE

Our family had breakfast here, ordered " Croque Madame" a cooked ham sandwich with the yummiest white sauce, topping a (thoroughly cooked, cold) 'poached egg.' It was served with overly baked red potatoe chunks which still tasted good in spite of being tiny & hard, potatos shrunken & 'overbaked. (Yesterdays? reheated?).. You have to saw at them with a dinner knife & hope to be able to chew. The outside view is stupendous, open plaza in front of you, presenting an overabundance of landscaping. Indoors the tables looked rather close together. Outdoors should be the choice- large clean round tables positioned 8-10' from eachother surrounded by chairs.

We went to the Pearl just to see the lights with my family and decided since it was our first time making out there to try the bakery I'd been hearing so much about! We saw people inside but every door was closed/blocked. So we ordered from the little window, the woman was nice enough and we didn't wait long. For the price paid I would have thought the items would have been more amazing taste wise. The macaroons were the only ones I was completely satisfied with. The drink was okay and the cake was just weird tasting. My daughter wants to go back for the macaroons but other than that I'm afraid it didn't live up to the hype for us this time.

  • Natalie Brown

I used to rate this 5 stars, but I feel the quality is declining. They made their pastries larger, but the inside doesn't feel as well cooked as a result. I would rather have a smaller pastry cooked better. I've also had ones that didn't seem fresh despite visiting before 9am. I miss their savory bread pudding. Aside from that, their selection is decent, and they do have good quality food. It's still my favorite place for breakfast in The Pearl. The line increases dramatically after the Farmer's Market opens, so plan accordingly. The quiche is always amazing if you want something heartier, but the price gets steep.

  • Rachel Barker

Always amazing desserts and food. A bit pricey but understandably so, the pastries are detailed and delicious and the food is gourmet. The problems lie with their service every-time I come here the workers are rude and seemed annoyed. This makes for a very unpleasant environment. The line is always so long which is great, there is a lot of business. But the process is not efficient, they need to figure out a new way to get more people in and out faster! Would only recommend on early weekday morning’s before the rush. If you do go look at the menu before so you don’t have to annoy the staff…

  • Mrs. McElPhipps

A 2 for the poor service. One cappuccino to go turned unto a 30 minute wait (partially our fault for not following up), and served in a non to go container. Stopped by for a quick coffee- that turned into a mess. Asked a worker here about the status, he asked "what's your number" as I'm holding it in front of him. He tells me "she's looking for you" (the runner)- ps she was not looking for us. Come to find out, the order got buried. They have no system to determine if you get missed. Just be aware of your place in line so you don't get buried like we did. Oh, the cappuccino was decent.

  • Amber A

While I absolutely loved this place and the food, the crowd is a bit crazy and there is no direction by the staff in terms of where to stand, get silverware, napkins etc. The day we went we waited for an extremely long time to get the food for one of my guest. I got mine almost immediately (which only sat there and got cold as I waited for the others). The waitress/host (?) came to tell us it was almost ready but it really wasn't and we waited some more. Between the line and food it was probably about an hour before we ate. Quite unfortunate because I did enjoy the food I received.

  • Christin Creed

This bakery is adorable! I stopped here to buy some macaroons for my wedding anniversary that we ate after dinner. A little on the pricey side but they were so delicious! My husband and I came back the next morning to have coffee and sit outside to enjoy the weather and bought a pastry and muffin as well. The muffin greatly surpassed the pastry in taste and texture, I would definitely opt for that instead next time. Unfortunately they do not offer any vegan options (I was dairy-free post-pregnancy). All in all this place is a great dessert stop if you are in the Pearl area.

Father's Day breakfast for my brother in law. So glad this is where he wanted to go! The gents got the breakfast plate. Wow, the toast was huge, very thick slices. I got the breakfast sandwich with bacon. Superb. My sister the scones. Cappuccino wasn't hot though which was very disappointing. Service was good, but I think the staff seemed a little overwhelmed and I got the impression we were a bother for some. Not many smiling faces around! Took some pastries home. They managed the 3 hour drive, but I did wish my croissant wasn't as hard once I ate it the next day.

  • Carolina Ng

Very nice bakery and coffee shop. We visited on a Saturday just before noon and the place was packed, there was a very long line to order from the counter. (you can only order from the counter). We sat a the communal table that was dirty and no one came to clean it. (I used my own wet wipes to clean it). We had the French Toast and Chicken salad on a croissant. Everything was very good. The croissant was fresh and super flakey. I did really enjoyed their black coffee I must say. The staff at the counter is nice and friendly, not so much for the floor staff.

  • Connor Belanger

This place has one of the most amazing quiches I have ever had. By far the most delectable, flavorful, rich egg dish I've ever had. The name Bakery Lorraine is certainly befitting if they can make such a high quality quiche lorraine. On top of the quiche all of their pastries are delicious and make a great snack if you fill up on their hot food! I had their morning bun and it was very light and flaky. If you're in San Antonio this place is certainly worth a drive out or a long walk from in the city. I will definietly visit here again if I'm in Texas!

  • Chris Johnson

6/14 Not sure what was going on but the inside was super hot with no explanation, like AC was out type of hot, it was nauseating after a short while, staff didn't seem like they wanted to be there.. the vibe was just not there. We just left after quickly eating what we paid for, tea, hot chocolate, chocolate croissant, cinnamon roll, the croissant tasted stale like it was from yesterday, cinnamon roll was pretty generic too, $18+tip no thanks. We were counting on getting some work done, but had to go to the coffee shop next door for cooler air.

  • Joel Rodriguez

I wanted to get some dessert after having eaten lunch so I stopped by at Bakery Lorraine, very clean establishment with friendly employees. The aesthetic of this shop matches the overall aesthetic you expect while at the Pearl. I ordered one Cinnamon Roll since their huge! It was also very cheap only being around $3. The Cinnamon Roll itself was fresh and very tasty, the icing did make a little bit of a mess so just make sure to get some napkins. Overall, very pleased with my visit and will now stop by whenever I’m close by.

Great French bakery located at The Pearl San Antonio. There are a plethora of food choices here, both savory and sweet. My favorites were the kouign amann and the croque madame. The croque madame was well balanced and nicely flavored. The kouign amann *chef's kiss* is so simple but one of the most delicious desserts ever. Not too sweet, crisp & just so yummy! The citrus tarts were just average. They were beautifully presented though. I can appreciate that! I would definitely visit again & recommend you do as well.

  • Amanda Venegas

If you are a fan of the pearl farmers market or just the pearl in general, I would recommend stopping in for a cup of coffee, some tasty sweets or even breakfast for yourself or even two. It is a very friendly environment, smells amazing upon walk-in & is an awesome place to take yourself for a day date, to catch up on some homework or even read a book. They also have outside seating and all spots are mainly shaded with overhead coverage or umbrellas, great location for the restaurant/café all together.

  • Matt

Overall, a good experience. There on a beautiful, busy Saturday. Baked goods in the cases look and taste excellent. Recommend working the ordering line flow to take orders faster, as it got really backed up. We had a group of six ordering sandwiches and other items, but the line for just the baked goods was the same, making it difficult for both sets of customers to get where they wanted. Staff was very friendly throughout, and the food itself was great. Just need to work on the flow for efficiency.

  • Jonathan Hernandez

2 weeks I was forced to wait by life before I was able to get my almond croissant with coffee. I have been coming to the pearl since before all the nonsense “pay for parking” was even a thing. As a teenager, I used to come here on my bike and eat at this bakery. I absolutely love the almond croissant. 10 years later and it’s still the same quality. Sad about the amount of tourist that overrun the pearl now, but oh well, thank you city officials for bending over to the out of state “investors”.

  • Trauma

Edward, David & Managers are amazing their service deserves more than 5 stars. They make you feel at home as family. Ambient soothing enviorment & music covers the mood along with their food and pastries. I never got up once or had to look for service ..its like they read my mind and had what I needed already on hand. Very professional & friendly staff.if you are in town this is the place to go...amazing FRESH, 5 STAR FOOD AND PASTRIES!!!! GOD SENT STAFF!!!✨✨✨

  • Katherine Melnyk

Charming bakery - in a charming location! This place is atmospheric with enjoyable interior and flowers on every table. Desserts were delicious, we tried “Opera” and “Fruit Tart”. I also liked the service, the staff is attentive. Therefore, be sure to come here for a cup of coffee and dessert! This place is popular, there was a long queue in the evening. Therefore, if you want to have a larger selection of desserts, I advise you to come here not too late in the evening.

  • Dori Diaz

The bakery is good, the wait staff can care very little. The to go packaging for such amazing macarons need a little improvement. I bought 2 dozens and the boxes are too long to fit in the bag they provide, that plus rain and the other stuff I got was a disappointing experience because of the struggle of carrying everything in a very funny way I am not happy with the packaging because the plan for the baked goods is to gift them, now I have wet boxes/bags

  • A Meadows

I’ve never been a big bakery or pastry fan but this place never disappoints!!! I’ve gone a few times to spend quality time with my father in the ambiance of the Pearl and decided I need to write a review. I loved the pride cookies they had for this month, I love that they always seem to have something different to try! My new favorite is the Orange Blackberry muffin I tried this past Sunday morning, it was delicious!!! Definitely a great stop to try (:

  • Daniel Perez

Cool modern spot to grab some tasty baked goods. Their raspberry danish was flaky, buttery, and sweet. The center contained the cheese filling, some kind of raspberry preserve, and topped with a few raspberries. It was a tad tough, but it still had a good texture. As you walk in, there's a display of various pastries on your way to the counter. The interior is very bright, simple, and modern. I recommend checking this place out for a quick baked bite.

  • Benjamin Thompson

What a lovely little bakery! We discovered it on our first night in San Antonio but ended up eating elsewhere, and so we made it a point to visit on our way out of town. So glad we did! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. I had the croque madame which was a savory delight. Kids had some sort of breakfast sandwich and some pastries. The cookies were amazing! Highly recommended if you're at The Pearl and want a sweet treat.

  • rodney alejandro

This place was work the stop for lunch. I had the Grilled Cheese on sourdough with Brie, bacon, green apples drizzles with honey. it was Amazing!!! So many flavors sweet and savory, and the chips added the salty edge to complete the cycle. I couldn’t sit inside due to lockdown, but sitting outside in the pearl district was a good substitute. The staff were very welcoming and service excellent. Can’t wait to return and have again!

  • Amanda Morris

The macarons are baked beautifully but some lacked flavor. The caramel and blueberry were the best imo. The opera cake was very light and smooth to eat. It's pricey and maybe not quite worth it given that the total came to $30 for 6 macarons and a slice of cake and we felt that the flavors just weren't quite there which was disappointing. The little cafe is lovely inside though so it was an overall cute experience.

  • Jocelyn P

Such a lovely bakery but the girl that took my order was unwelcoming. She didn’t greet me but stared at me waiting for me to give my order, I guess. That put a damper on my experience. My blueberry lemon scone was delish, along with my matcha latte. My boyfriend really liked the oatmeal macaron, which taste like oatmeal pies.

Come here if you want to grab a bite or enjoy some delicious pastries. Be aware that it does get very busy and there is usually a line. You enter, get in line and place your order in front of the pastries. Pay at the register and they'll bring your order. Great selection of pastries, breakfast, and drinks. Not overwhelming with options. Was a huge fan of their matcha latte w/oatmilk. Very nice staff!

  • Le Li

Good not great. Also in the summer they don't believe in air conditioning? At least not when i visited. Their dishes are overly sweet which you need to get coffee. The fruit was on point, sweet a bit tart but complimentary to desserts. The coffee was good. They have a section to add creamer & sugars. Also their are 2 entrances. This is not worth trying to find parking and then the walk to get there.

  • David and Ruthie Wu

Always love the sweets from Bakery Lorraine. Glad to stop by for AAPI Heritage Month, get the 10% off and get my stamp on the passport. My husband wanted the almond croissant, I've never tried moonpie and I got the Strawberry popheart for Dad. The line was long as usual and thankfully, it moved along pretty quickly. Dad ate half of his popheart and I ate the moonpie. So sweet! So good though.

  • C Daquin

Consistently good. Nice little hole in the wall niche place to hang out and people watch. Lovingly designed. Smart and attentive staff. Perfect for sitting and talking or watching. My favorite stop-off in this area. Great cold drinks in the fridge. A little expensive in comparison but really worth it and the baked goods are excellent and really high quality. Recommend highly.

  • Vicky Haro

Love coffee shops that can make a good iced mocha. I can taste the richness of the espresso and the subtlety of the chocolate. Not overly sweet. Ordered the beet salad and fries and it was delicious. The cherry on top was the wonderful service.

Stopped by this beautiful place during the farmer’s market. Line was a bit long, but service was fast and friendly. We had the Raspberry Kouign Amman and the Kouign Amman with Lemon Curd and Two coffees. These pastries were the highlight of the day. We added a Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip cookie and Mexican Hot Chocolate rolled in habañero sugar cookie to go.

Bakery Lorraine is my favorite place to eat. Love the sandwiches & salads. Plus their cappuccino is the best. So creamy & huge! My favorite cappuccino in town. Don’t really like the parking at this location though. It’s not easy for older people having to park far away. But that’s not the Bakery’s fault. Just the heat here is hard to find parking for older folks

  • Michael Kolias

C’est trop bon! This place has nailed it. The decor is cute, the atmosphere is relaxed/inviting, and staff is very very nice. The almond croissant is always my go-to and this bakery has nailed it. You can tell from how flaky the croisant that it’s homemade. My latte was also spot on! My one complaint is the size of the tarts are too small for the price you pay.

  • Reuben Reyes

This place is wow! The selection and variety of treats is amazing. Plenty of things to pick from and you can’t go wrong here. It does get busy but you can get sweets to go or eat outside. Located at the Pearl. Once you take a bite you know this is high quality and made right. The have good breakfast selections and super good sandwiches also.

  • hallie forslund

I came here and absolutely fell in love with the french toast. It is hands down the best thing I've ever put in my mouth. It's so soft and fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. It was perfect. I also got the fruit tart and the strawberry rhubarb tart and they were delicious as well. There was a very long line but it was so worth it.

  • Emily Myerly

French toast, Croissant Sandwich and Turkey Pesto. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their choice. My turkey pesto was excellent, the potatoes that came with the croissant sandwich were insanely tasty! Our daughter sat happily nomming on the French toast. We took half the food home because they give you a lot. Always a treat to eat here.

  • Elise O'Hare

This place is delicious! We went back for the quiche three times in a week. It was my grandson’s favorite food of the trip! He is 16 months old! The bakery treats are a must but the food is amazing too! I had the quiche and my friend ordered the BLT. Both came with salads and we both cleaned our plates! This was a great lunch stop!

  • Gracie B

First time at Bakery Lorraine. The restaurant was super cute and very clean. The line took awhile, the staff weren’t too helpful, the food was good, and it was a bit pricy. My breakfast sandwich had a very small thin sausage Patty. I did love their potatoes and their orange juice was really good. Their macaroons were also good.

  • Kara Turney

Cookies were delicious. Waited 30 minutes for my food to find out the kitchen was never even working on it. Finally received my food and it was subpar at best. I was so excited to try this place too. The kitchen was not busy and there were only two people before me waiting on food to give more context on the thirty minute wait.

  • Brian Carey

We had an excellent experience. My wife had the avacodo toast and poached egg with smoked salmon. I had an everything croissant with smoked salmon. We both said we out ordered the other. The coffee was delicious. We went on a Saturday morning and enjoyed watching the Pearl Farmers Market setup outside. I highly recommend.

  • Shameer Zahid

Bakery Lorraine is a great part of the Pearl complex. There was a decent amount of wait to ordering and getting our food, but it was worth the wait. I had a patty melt and would definitely recommend it to other. We also got a few of the baked goods to-go, and the muffins and croissants turned out to be delicious as well!

  • Sarunas Vil

Stopped by for breakfast and we loved it. Crossant sandwich with white egg and baked potatoes was amazing, fresh and just melts in your mouth from freshenes. My friend had a baked oatmeal and while it was tasty, it was also on a chewy side. Overall atmosphere is very welcoming and has that modern-industrial style to it.

  • Next Level Explorer

The variety at Bakery Lorraine is truly outstanding. They offer an extensive selection of pastries, bread, cakes, and other baked goods that are sure to satisfy every craving. Whether you’re in the mood for a flaky croissant, a decadent chocolate tart, or a perfectly baked baguette, Bakery Lorraine has got you covered.

  • Emily Ann Ibarra

Dropped in while we were out exploring the Pearl’s Farmers Market. We tried BK’s pistachio macaroons, matcha green tea latte, and a chocolate covered gingerbread. The Matcha Green Tea Latte was spectacular! The best I’ve had in months actually. The pistachio was said to be delicious - my niece and partner loved it.

  • Marielena Ruiz

Traveled from California and the server young tall male was rude and arrogant when we asked about our order. By the time we got drinks they where cold and they didn't have a microwave to warm up. Very disappointing and will take my business elsewhere!

Very busy, exquisite, and yummy food! This place is always packed. Service was great, and the sandwiches very super tasty. The Turkey Pesto sandwich comes with a spear of pickle and kettle cooked chips. The bread was toasted and warm. The fruit tart and cheesecake were super good as well, not too sweet.

  • Sebastian Obando

What can I say.. light and fluffy pastries accompanied by some of the best lattes in town. A great compliment to the Pearl which is mainly known for its brewery. The tiramisu and cheesecake were incredible! I'd like to consider myself a cheesecake lover and this one hit the spot! Definitely coming back!

  • Christina Mantas

Such Fun Pastries! They usually have a couple Gluten-Free Pastry options and a ton of Gluten Free Macarons! This is located in The Pearl shopping center, and shares an open green area with Cured. There is plenty of Indoor and Outdoor Seating. Chocolatey Mocha and attentive staff. Great local place.

2/29/2022 - back in San Antonio after 5 years and their food is still amazing. The chicken salad sandwich was excellent. The best bakery/lunch spot I have been to in a long time. Just prepare to wait in line because it is the place to eat in Pearl. WOW - is all I can say about their cinnamon roll!!

  • Sara G

Coffee tastes okay. But, the staff service can be bad sometimes. The other few times I’ve been here, the staff was fine no problems but recently, the people at the counter didn’t care to take an order or be attentive. Probably will not return as there are other better coffee options nearby.

  • Bruce Ellis

Plenty of delicious food awaits you. Regardless of whether you're wanting the sandwich, soup, or dessert, if you leave less than full and satisfied then it is your fault. Bring a friend and enjoy the atmosphere inside or on the patio or walk over and enjoy the outdoor seating at the park.

Who doesn't like sweets? Great selection of everything from coffee to a great sugar rush! If you go on the weekend or especially Sunday's, please be patient and enjoy what they have left to choose from. Awesome service from the staff. A must to stop by if you find yourself at the Pearl!

This is a beautiful square where this bakery is located. You would need to invest some time to find the parking. I liked the ambiance and the quality of the pastries was good too. This place and around us very children friendly and had a kid if families there with kids and babies.

  • Bruno Vasquez

Long line but definitely worth the wait. I wish we could have tasted everything they have to offer. Although we only had a few pastries, such as the Pop tarts and croissants, from the plates I saw around the restaurant everything looked delicious. We will definitely be back!

  • Ana Calderón

Delicious option for breakfast. I had the avocado toast. The bread tastes to butter. It was great combination. The latte is good. The service can be better. The restaurant is located at the Pearl. A lovely place where is located the Culinary school. You must try this place.

The potatoes served with the quiche were divine. The quiche was best I’ve tasted. My daughter ate up all the s’mores tart which was rich enough and not too sweet. Everything was yummy and the service was great. I just wished they served the whole menu later like 6 or 7pm.

The Bakery Lorraine was so cute! The macarons were delicious. All the employees were so welcoming especially Gypsy, she helped us pick out our bakery items & was so sweet & accommodating! She definitely deserves recognition! Highly recommend to anyone who’s in the area!

  • Andy Benavidez

Even with COVID-19, Bakery Lorraine is still a must visit while in San Antonio. The staff is always friendly and courteous. The food, pastries, coffee are fresh and delicious. Saturday and Sunday the Pearl has the Farmers Market, so get there early to avoid the crowds.

  • Christine

We went to the location at The Pearl for breakfast and loved it. We got the traditional breakfast with eggs, bacon and toast and the Quiche Lorraine with potatoes. The food was quick and EXCELLENT. The espresso was perfect and the staff was friendly. Highly recommend

  • Lindsi Paul

This place was wonderful! Waiting outside for a table was worth it! My eyes are way bigger then my stomach. Ordered their BLT, Almond raspberry cake, smores tart, macaroons, cheesecake....yeah it was all so so good. And the service was great. Not a single complaint.

  • Lauren Edmond

Great spot at the Pearl! Cute atmosphere with a decent menu variety. The bakery options are divine & make it hard to choose! Honey, Earl Grey, Pumpkin Spice & Cassis Macaroons were delightful and so flavorful

Amazing experience again today, food was excellent but the service was even better. Thanks to the manager for coming and spending a few minutes with us and our family (who were in from Wisconsin). Truly a destination you have to add to any trip to San Antonio!

  • Francisco Javier

The Place is nice but the pastries are from Yesterday's batch. We shopped some kind of expensive pastries -5 breads 35 dlls-, and the flavor wasnt bad, but the bread is "cold" that means may have the whole, I mean 24 hours waiting for a nice buyer! Deceptive

  • Randy G

Excellent French bakery with super nice atmosphere. The cinnamon roll was really good and so was everything else. A perfect place to stop on your morning walk around the Pearl District of San Antonio.... And...... Well behaved furry friends are welcome!!!

  • Fernando Sanchez Jr

I love stopping by this location when in town! The ambiance is quiet during the week which is perfect for getting some work done. Plenty of seating space both inside and out. The breakfast sandwich is incredibly tasty and the drinks are pretty good.

  • J B

Great place for breakfast. Show up early because it can get busy around 11am. Enjoy your cappuccino and Croque Madame on the patio. The staff is very helpful and the macaroons are incredible. Dont forget to grab a Pain Au chocolat for the road.

  • Rene Ramirez

Good stuff at the Pearl. To this veteran owned business, thanks for giving back! Things are great here. Having a low blood sugar event. Very accommodating. Tall dude was cool and very kind. Thanks for what you do and what you have done. Peace.

A bit of a wait during the Sunday Farmers Market but it was worth it. Pastries were delicious and the coffee was fresh. This is a very good place to have breakfast or brunch with friends and family. There is plenty of seating indoors and out.

  • Theresa Flanders

When we travel- I always try to find the best bakeries. I was really excited to try this place when I saw they offered gluten free options because our oldest has celiac disease and loves pastries but can never eat them. This bakery did not

Loved this place. Custom ordered a cake for my friends birthday, and they absolutely delivered. It was delicious. We then had breakfast here on our first day in SA, it was so good, we came back the next day. Oh, i can't forget the staff,

  • Jay Bee

Cool place. The ambiance is really nice. The place is spacious so you aren't crowded. The crossiant sandwiches are pretty large. The scones are tasty. The staff is friendly and polite. I would definitely recommend this place for others.

Been going to lorraine for over 10yrs and by far the worst experience of service and food. Stopped by for lunch. Order half sandwich and salad and extra side of potatoes. Waited more than 30min but no food. Went to go see a worker and

  • Micaela Rodríguez

Amazing! Had an iced latte which was good, but the real star was the gooey butter cake!! My friend got the macaron and enjoyed those as well. If you’re there for a drink don’t skip out on the pastries — you will regret not having one!

  • Robin M

Delightful food! Pastries and breakfast are outstanding! The Croque Madame is amazing! I found the coffee only ok, but my husband liked it. Will come again! However, limited seating, so get there early and expect that you may wait.

  • # TECH

The area and restaurant had nice decor. The line took awhile and the food was okay. The meal was only filling because of the thick bread..not the portion. The prices were high. The lobby was dirty...hard time finding a clean table.

  • Ed Rodriguez

The location was warm and humid. There were flies inside the cafe. I ordered the fathers day special but the order came with chips instead of the publicized French fries. Moreover, the burger was not worth $15. Do better Lorraine.

  • Arpan Shah

Lovely bakery with wonderful pastries. Sugar overdose with kids! The macaroons were awesome especially the margarita macroon with tequila. Also the pistachio eclair was very good. Must try place in San Antonio's Pearl district.

  • Ruth G

Enjoyed a dessert snack at the busy Bakery on Fiesta weekend. Purchased the tasty cinamon habanero cookies and the light Opera cake. It was not too rich or heavy. I would recommend this location when it's not Fiesta weekend.

  • Christine

Outside seating only right now, but there are heaters near some of the tables. Delicious grilled cheese and tomato soup. Gingerbread cake had a little too much molasses flavor for my liking. But great experience like always.

  • Maia Smith

The staff is SO nice and the food is delicious. The Phantom of the Opera was great- a mix of pumpkin spice, chocolate, ginger, and more. Like fall in a pastry. The macaroons are also great and their coffee cups are huge.

  • Jeff

Nice breezy spot near downtown. Serving sandwiches, salads and a variety of desserts that are very unique and tasty. A lot of the menu items are locally sourced (love the bottled rain water). Prices are very reasonable.

  • Marc Franceschini

They honestly charged me $8 for this. Straight bitter greens with nothing else added. I understand it’s a side salad but for $5 no other items added just bitter sour leafs. It’s so sad it’s come down this.

  • Aaron Brown

Excellent latte, excellent Quiche Lorraine, bad wifi. Wouldn't connect and there were other sus ones named the same so beware.

Stopped here for a cookie and coffee. Coffee is very good and the PB Chocolate chip cookie is delicious. They have a very nice outdoor cafe as well as inside seating. Great place!

  • Amethyst Switzer

A little pricier than what I'm used to but of course this is at the Pearl so I should've expected that. But otherwise really good their macarons and fruit tart were really good.

  • Noxiya B

Before I begin writing about my experience, I would like to share that I have had multiple desserts and beverages from this bakery that were sublime in taste and presentation.

  • Greg Leong

My wife and I absolutely love this bakery. Everything we've tried here is really good. The folks behind the counter are just as great. We don't come here often enough.

  • Les Haas

Breakfast & coffee was amazing, and the strawberry rhubarb was perfect. Excellent service, and great atmosphere. Will stop again anytime in the Pearl district.

  • Mauricio Alvarez

Everything was very delicious. The staff is super friendly, patient and helpful. Bakery Lorraine has become a must visit when we visit San Antonio, Texas.

  • Simon Katan

Every time that I am in San Antonio, I start my day here. A great bakery with lots of choices of Danish and cruasons that they are delicious.
