I used to work there so I know it inside out. It was my mother in laws idea which manifested splendidly. Aside from fabric and all it’s by-products, as in, linen for your bed or table or living and clothes that are originals designed by our in house design team applying Barbara’s principals which are sound, beautiful and functional. I love the cafe and gallery area. I don’t work there anymore due to health reasons ( I feel great, so don’t worry) I can objectively say that it’s the only place in cmb where you can chill, and spend an entire morning afternoon or day — you will be entertained or you will entertain yourself and leave with the most authentic experience in Colombo.

The perfect place for high quality, colourful Artisan items, homewares, beautiful silk dresses, tableware and handmade bags. There is a lovely cafe there also for my husband while I browsed. It is expensive by Sri Lankan standards, but quite reasonable on international dollars.

Huge collection of home decor and related stuff. Good food, great ambience, always run into interesting people here! And Bawa's heritage just makes this gallery & cafe a must visit in Colombo!

They have some really good fabric related items. So bags, medicine bags etc. table cloth, cushion covers etc. Some handicrafts as well but their main items are fabric and fabric related items. Also now have a tea section

The shop front is not that attractive but inside is the real world of handmade products made by barefoot local craft man. The inside more colorful then the sober and simpler outer facade

I used the 'Barefoot Gallery' website to buy a rare Carl Muller novel from his 'Von Bloss family saga' series. You can find rare Sri Lankan English literature from their website.

織り機を見た時少し泣きそうになっちゃった。 とっても品の良いギャラリーでは素晴らしい展示が。 ショップではカラフルなお洋服を買いたかったけど、サイズと形が合わなくて断念。小さなお土産をいくつか買って帰りました。 カフェではビーフサンドイッチをいただきました。とっても美味しかった！
