This is a review that you will want to read! As a sommelier, I try my best not leave bad reviews, but I will never be ok with poor customer service and price gouging.. The pricing in here is insane! 50-75% over standard mark-up. Please do your research before buying here. You’ll even come out cheaper ordering from dizzily.( an alcohol delivery service that delivers to you directly anywhere in the District of Columbia) The hurry up and buy mentality could not more prevalent. I’ve never seen customers turned away before closing..but I guess when you’re robbing tourist blind you can do that. Long story short, go less than 10 mins away and save 70% or order if you’re a v tourist. Unless you enjoy wasting money while receiving less than mediocre customer service.

Wanted to like this place more but unfortunately the customer experience is lacking. Prices are highly marked up, 20-30%, especially for the basic liquors they know people want. "Due to covid" they no longer allow browsing even on July 2021 and don't know the prices of bottles when you start asking for specifics. Also don't try to ask for a "discount" [to get closer to normal prices] as you'll be mocked out of the store. If you have another option, I would take that instead. As a side note, they pay for advertising and we've had issues leaving reviews so take what you see online with a huge grain of salt.

I came in for a hard to find tequila that was sold out in 8 other stores (including Total Wine and More). I called ahead and received really pleasant service by phone and when I arrived at the store, the on-site friendliness and accommodating service was more than I could ask for. Most liquor stores don’t exactly strive to be leaders in customer service so you definitely notice the difference between stepping foot in one that could care less that you’re there and one that has an interest in you leaving as a happy customer. I’ll definitely be back.

It's 10A & I needed last minute Beer, Wine & Veuve Clicquot for a production soirée segment & Barmy came to my rescue. The staff of three helped me out with quiet smiles & friendly service. Their knowledge individually & collectively was super useful & made my shopping quick & easy. Barmy offers Tastings, Special Events, an App for delivery & free Curbside Pickup. The store is well organized & tidy with daily sales. Prices are good & comparable for the area. Located at L/19th.

Staff is extremely rude for no reason and have no idea how to validate the authenticity of an out-of-state driver’s license (even with their ID book). If you look under 40 or don’t have a license issued from the DMV area (bring your passport or), save yourself the hassle and go to a liquor store that knows how to validate out-of-state licenses/that scans. We live in 2022– there are free apps on the App Store that can do that smh

Guy really helped me thanks giving night making my stressful night just a little bit less stress on thanksgiving. I don’t drink but of course my wife does and sends me to DC from Tyson’s to this little spot in L st. Parking is weird but as soon as I went in I showed the pictures of what I needed and the guy just grabbed them for me in 2 seconds!!! Saved me 20 minutes of searching. In an out in 2 minutes. Thanks boys!!!!!

I was searching every where for 99 Long Island ice tea 750ml bottle. I almost gave up. Then I found this place. I immediately reach out to the store to confirm they had it. And they did!!! So I got in my car in drove all the way from NYC!!! Thank you again for your service and when you get more in please let me know. I will be back.

Manish. That is his name. The man is a whiskey connoisseur. I went in looking for something very specific and he ended up giving me A little bit of a lesson that I found very very meaningful. I left with four bottles of some very good scotch and bourbon. I am eagerly anticipating my next visit.

Easy to order online... and there's even an app...super easy. Also, picking up is fairly easy...I followed GPS and just tried on that...it was hard to see any signs until you're very close. Amazing selection, curbside service available which I did, and helpful staff... awesome place!

Strong selection of liquors, reasonable prices, and very good recommendations by the proprietor. The whiskey selection in particular was quite deep. Found most of what I was looking for, and when I couldn't, a reasonable alternative was offered. Will definitely be back.

A warm, welcoming staff and an amazing Bourbon selection made this a new repeat stop. If you have a question, ask them because they know their stuff. Be sure to set a budget before you get there because someone could go broke with all the rare finds in this place.

Place is awesome. Open late they even deliver and have there own app. Guys in the front are always happy, espicially when its closing time at 11:45 PM. They have a large selection and they sell cigarettes there. I always stop by after work then head home.

This has to be one of the worst experiences I've ever had inside of a wine store. All of the resources on the internet stated specifically that the store was welcoming walk-in customers. Not only was I handled rudely by the management staff
