I know this place since it's been built I remember since I was high school 1978 this place you can go early voting it has a baseball and football field and a track you can walk around or jog around whatever you prefer there's a track. There are also a community meeting you can hold your meetings. There is public restroom. You can go picnics and bring your kids there. It's very clean there and plenty of parking and there's also handicap parking also :-)! If you need help after Hurricane Harvey disaster they have that also. If you need yourself help if you got affected by Hurricane Harvey! You also can get help! If needed other things they have Flyers there if you need some information for some help :-)! And if you want to put some flyers there to help others once you go inside the front door there is a person which will help you which is the help desk. They have a lot of unique things to see beautiful ornaments! Always lock your doors in your car of course and watch your surroundings also please :-)!

A serene park during the midday day and a buzzling playground of activities in the late afternoons and evenings. Sports is the main focus but it is also a center for culture and community affairs. A place where the young and old meet at the same place. A racially neutral and equally cosmopolitan. Many come to complete their daily quick lunch break work out, others park their car in remote location to enjoy a lunch in solitude. Few others attend classes for the elderly and health related matters. For the kids it is all play and no work here which keep the balance between school and fun. A place every general feel a sense of unity, just like a park should ideally mean to a community. Not very vast and expansive but just cozy yet not too small for this community. Again another good place and a safe place.

Background: I use this park weekly for the soccer fields Layout of the park: - Facing the park from Bissonnet, the only public picnic area is on the far right side (the Hillcroft side) Pros: - Awesome sport fields for soccer and baseball. This is because there are only a few of each field and they are very well taken care of AND monitored/protected - Small and easy to get navigate and easy to park Cons: - Ugly public picnic area that is more dirt than grass and has one, short, cement jogging/walking track - The public part of the park gets a lot of foot traffic so that can be pretty crowded in the afternoons Overall: Well-kept, well-maintained soccer and baseball fields, but not where I would go for race training or for a casual day at the park.

Ok so I’m only giving 2 stars and that’s for the cleanliness of the playgrounds. Especially the larger playground located in the back of the park. There is always trash in the mulch. From dog poop, to trash, even disgusting trash you’d hope to never find at a park. The entire park itself is large and there are a lot of options for sitting and picnics. A few cars were robbed at night earlier this year at night during a baseball game so don’t leave valuables in your car if you plan on being away from your vehicle for a while. One thing I will say is the restrooms are always very clean.

I believe Bayland Park is the biggest park in Southwest Houston. This is a giant community activity central with soccer, baseball, football and tennis fields on a 865 acre land. I often got confused with Burnett-Bayland Park 3 miles away on Chimney Rock. Besides polling place, it also has Bayland Community Center, pavillion for rent, children's playgrounds, walking trails, picnic areas and lots of parking. Lucky for those nearby residents get to enjoy what Harris County has to offer.

This review is for the walking/running trail: Positives: asphalt surface (easy on the joints), there are two drinking fountains on the trail, conveniently close to neighborhood, and lots of people are using it. Negatives: trail is a bit short (about a third of a mile), mostly unshaded, and there are super creepy emogis and a poorly worded sign about nobody walking painted on the wall (of an adjacent business) having the track. Pics next time I'm there. edit 1/8/18: posted pics

Needs to be swept, to much falling leaves from trees all over the park. Soccer fields should be open to the public since this is a Public Park. Instead fields are rented to private soccer schools and league where they make a profit charging a fee to join a club. We all pay our taxes from where public parks get money from. It is only fair to the community to have a nice facility to be able to practice sports and stay off the streets and have a more safe neighborhood.

It’s nice especially when there aren’t any beer cans everywhere they are fixing it up for the most part I wish the actual restrooms were open but the Porta potty’s are actually decent they aren’t as dirty as I imagined they would be I never used them before but you can see them as you passing by but I like how the park is close to so many food places and walking distance nice place to go I always take my son

Nice park with Pokéstops throughout. There are tennis courts, baseball diamonds, and a small stadium. Most of the ball fields have bleachers and some are even covered. Picnic tables are scattered throughout with limited playground equipment for the kids. There are at least 2 gazebos for groups of 10-20 and an air conditioned rec center nearby with bathrooms and meeting areas.

  • Matthew Caughman

Great place just make sure you do not leave valuables in your car, at this park unless you want them to disappear. There's a playground for the kids. Do not enter the park before 7AM and after 10PM, as you run the risk of a large ticket even if the gates are still open. It will cost you $300 and you also run the risk of going to jail.

Besides all the Pokemon traffic this park is great. The park has swings and plenty of batting cages. I visited this park to play Pokemon with my daughter and met a very nice fella while we were there. I can't believe how long this park has been here. Very active park. Bring your snacks and make a date out of being here.

Bayland Park is known for the Youth Fun Football League & Baseball league's as well. The park is very beautiful & well maintained. I'm not sure who thought it would be a great idea to remove the wood benches from the Football Stadium, just an FYI it wasn't. Having to sit on the concrete floor is just not cool at all.

  • Mallely Tlapanco

Very clean park ! And i know clean. Plus , we came here because we were just so put off by the other park right down the street. The maintenance team at Bayland is doing such a super job! I am grateful to you all because it's difficult for me to visit unkempt parks. Sending you all a big bug hug. Thank you.

  • Anis Sury

Well maintained, however not much of facilities when compared to other parks in town. Surrounded by run down neighborhood. However I will always remember it by two good hearted ladies from the neighborhood who took good care of a lost 3YO child for 30 minutes or longer until found by family. Great people.

  • Jacob 'Isreal' Eiler (Jacob)

Bayland Park is a great place to visit, plan a family picnic or grill, exercise and play. It's highly underrated and is a gem of the Houston Southwest SW side. It's location off Bissonnet and Hillcroft makes it very easily accessible from major apartment complexes and homes in the area.

  • Nicole Ross

Take my dogs here twice s month and after rains so they can run top speed, jump high over puddles and stuff, and get SO dirty! They love it. I can go mid morning and allow them off the leash because there are very few people in the park and other people with dogs is even more scarce.

  • Michael McNeill

My wife and I were in and out in 15 minutes, so if anyone doing early voting now is the time, no long lines. Awesome, Awesome. No excuses . If we don't vote and the wrong person wins, then we're all responsible ,we can't complain. just deal with it. It's your voice , so sound off.

  • Everybody's Got One

Bayland Park is open yet has ample trees to shade the picnic tables. The restrooms are reasonably clean; the lack of doors on the stalls promotes safety at the cost of privacy. One complaint: there's no place to hang a hat, or backpack, and the floor isn't dry or sterile.

  • greedy torres

Great place to spend the afternoon n weekend with the family. Once there don't expect to use the baseball fields or succor fields. They are Fence n used by company's. I thought it was a park for everyone to use but someone is making money on taxpayers money...

  • Mary Cockrell

It was GREAT! I went there to VOTE early. The line of people there.to Vote moved at.a good pace. The Workers were very helpful to the Voters if they had problems. I'm letting my Family and Friends know about the.location. Sorry.didn't take pics.

Best Park Ever Heavily Patrolled by H.P.D. for children safety watch your speed they give tickets out. Daytime and Evening sports Baseball,Softball, Foosball, Football, Track And Community Centers. Restrooms are actual brick buildings. Free

  • Mr. Mccoy

Went out to watch my nephew play football. I haven't been inside the building, so I can't comment on that. There was adequate parking for all of the games that were starting and finishing. There's also a refreshment stand to purchase

  • Preston Peery

This park had a little bit of everything. Baseball/softball fields, soccer fields, playgrounds, etc. Pretty clean, and well maintained. The soccer fields have gotten MUCH better recently. Hats off to whoever is managing the Turf!

  • Jerome Davis

Pokestops and Gyms Galore for Pokemon Go Players. Plenty of Community, Sports, Park, playground, and family facilities. The most 'Fun' Football Stadium ever. Conveniently located. Also a great place to early vote for elections.

  • Earlene Drayden

This is the AARP tax office. You wouldn't believe they are doing it for free. I have referred several people to them. The also do team work. I had a problem and they want the extra mile to help me. Thanks so much.

  • Yehia Omar

Best soccer fields in Houston. Amazing maintenance, plenty of parking, access to facilities and relatively central. The only issue is when people kick the ball beyond the fences into some of the houses’ backyards

  • Abraham M

Good city park but the staff is horrid. Place primarily caters to Chinese people and they put up with rude old guy at front desk. I only go directly to meetings never ask him for anything. He needs to be fired

  • Kevin H

Bayland park is better than Chimney Rock park, but frankly Bayland park could use more amenities. Most fields are closed off for teams, there are no open soccer fields unlike the awesome park at Elkridge. :p

  • Tracie Bigham

Park is large, nice with good options for space and activities. The facilities are always kept clean and lots of trash receptacles. Awesome programs for Seniors. Very well managed community center!!

  • Martin Daniels

Go there for meetings. We have been having our meetings there about twice a month for years. Good facility, clean, pretty centrally located (our members come from all over town). We really like it.

  • mike liberto

You're working on the driveways and parking lots. All good. Except if you need people to stay out of a certain section, use some signage instead of selectively telling people. Thank you.

  • Jessica Vidal

Its a nice spacious park, well kept, a lot of different types of people were exercising or taking walks. It's a nice environment and there's someone patrolling the area so you feel safe.

  • Bonnie Davis

Went there to vote, short line about a 5 minute wait. That's the only reason I've ever been to this park. It is a beautiful park though. Large, nice and clean with a lot of shade trees.

  • Katherine

Always like coming to this park. It is great for people looking to jog, power walk, have a picnic, or play Pokemon Go. The park is large so you can drive through and opens until 10 PM.

  • Ahunna Akoma

Park is located in the Sharpstown part of Houston, on Bissonnet. There is a .33 mile walking/jogging/running track and fields for football, baseball, and soccer. Easy access.

  • Khoa-chau Nguyen

Wonderful place to enjoy with family. If you are into Pokemon Go, then this park is amazing for it. You can drive around the park with your car with 4 gyms and 11 pokestops.

  • herbert castillo

Whoever is responsible for the Park Needs to find another JOB. Hundreds of kids play on playground area. The children are exposed to broken equipment that can be dangerous.

Tennis court lights don't turn on at night even after pressing the buttons. Not sure if because of daylight savings or not.
