Either they really don’t know the plans they are offering or they tell you whatever they need to, to make a sale. I was assured “several” times I would have the exact same coverage for Canada /US as I currently had for $10 less and with more data. Who wouldn’t agree to that. Once my bill came I had extra charges because the plan they gave me at Best Buy Mobile was only a Nationwide plan. I went back in the store to complain, they once again assured me that I had the same coverage for Can/US and that Telus now call their Canada US plan Nationwide and everything else was called international. He said Telus charged me for my calls to the US in error and to just call them up and they’d reverse the charges. Before I had a chance to call Telus they called me inquiring why I changed my plan since I’m now incurring additional charges for calling the US. Even they realized something was wrong. I was also told I wouldn’t be able to go back to my old plan because they no longer offer it for that price, it’s now $20 more than my current plan. Telus did try and make things right, they gave me a couple of add ons at no extra charge, but it is still less coverage than I previously had. I then went back into Best Buy Mobile and was once again offered something that in the end was also incorrect. They offered me a Canada/US add on for $15 a month of which they would pay $5 and I would have to pay the other $10 a month. Once again assuring me this would give me the same coverage as before. That it would not only give me unlimited calling/texting to the US but also allow me to use my phone in the US as if I was in Canada (what I originally had). The guy even looked it up on his phone and showed it to me, but what he actually looked up and showed me was for the plan I used to have that now costs $20 more. He wasn’t showing me the information for the Canada/US “add on” plan, which is what he was trying to sell me. Thank goodness I didn’t take that, because after talking to Telus that add on would only give me unlimited calling/testing to the US from Canada, it would not allow me to use my phone in the US without getting charged an additional $8 per day. In the end Best Buy did give me a refund on the case I bought for my phone. Doesn’t exactly make up for the fact that I have lost the plan I had for the price I had it for, since I will never be able to get it back. I also question how they could be that misinformed on the plans they are selling. It seems more to me like a “tell them whatever they need to hear to make the sale” kind of thing. I strongly advise to deal directly with the cell service providers. They know their products a lot better than Best Buy does. This is the only way I will in the future. I will never trust Best Buy Mobile again, way too much incorrect information which has cost me a lot in the end.

Wow. Just. Wow. What a fabulous unexpected experience. These folks did what Virgin and Bell in this mall couldn’t and basically told me couldn’t be done. They didn’t stop until the finish line - til my elderly father’s phone (iPhone 8 red limited edition 64 G nothing down w Rogers) was entirely set up - on a new company (we’ve been with Virgin since they came to Canada - (cheerio ;-)). The fellow who was helping me primarily meticulously searched out what I was looking for, while his young female red-haired colleague added in extra knowledge of how to accomplish my unusual mission. Further off with technical experience from the older guy with the pony-tail when more blocks were encountered, I walked out of the Cataraqui centre with exactly what we needed and way, way more. A few weeks later we are still very, very happy!!!

After a evening of going from Phone store to phone store last night (Friday June 18)..... I just had to say that we had a very very pleasant experience with Best Buy mobile in the Cat mall in Kingston. Congrats to the young man and woman, I didn't get their names , but they were just great with us. Helpful , patient and friendly. Thanks!

This Best Buy is a decent store. They always have great in-store specials. And there's always stuff on the floor to help answer your questions. They are very friendly courteous and knowledgeable. I like the store because it's well laid out and you can find things very easily.

I only replace my phone about every 3-5 years but I come here every time I do. Their customer service is above and beyond and I've never been made to feel dumb when asking questions. Meg especially is a star! Highly recommend coming here for any mobile needs.

Absolutely fantastic service, ended up with a dud phone and they got me a working one, even tested to make sure it didn't have the same issue. Later on I had some questions and they provided the perfect answers! Excellent service and aftercare!!

The staff member who helped me was great, gave me easy to understand information about my phone plan options and was not aggressive about selling! Would recommend going here if you’re usually intimidated when having to talk to sales people!

Best service ever! They provided me with detailed personalized help to change to another network. And they stayed several minutes after working hours to finish up. They were very kind and friendly as well.
