I have to say that until recently, Staples was my #1 place to go to for anything. However, recently I've tried using the Print and Copy center and I can't say my experience good. Actually far from it. The first time I ordered from them, I used the website to order prints as I was setting up for some art and craft shows. Two weeks passed and I hadn't received any word that my items had been printed or that they were being shipping to me. I then called this location directly and spent HOURS redialling and calling the print and copy center only to have the automated voice tell me to call again later or redial. After a few hours of this, I emailed staples customer service, asking where my order was? (I had 1 week shipping) Did they even receive it? Had it even been printed yet? And a few other things, mentioning to the person I was corresponding with that the store wasn't responding to any of my calls. The person I was emailing with, got things sorted for me and she was lovely (unfortunately she didn't work at this location), and it had turned out that they had shipping my package that morning. Now, if you've used their website (or i believe in person) ordering, they tell you that you will receive an email when your item is ready to be shipped or picked up from the store. I never got that email.. And the items were shipping out the last day they were supposed to arrive so they ended up being late. Now, a few weeks passed, and I was in need of a couple more prints, unfortunately the quality of walmarts prints aren't great. And if I ordered them from online, they would have taken too long and cost too much. So, in the end I decided to try staples again. This time ordering the pick up in store option, which is says is 1-3 days. I ordered them on Thursday night (so I didn't expect them to get the order until friday morning). I haven't received an email yet. So, since I was in town anyway and knowing that I never received an email for my first order, I decided to stop in at this location to see if my prints were there. Well, after the employee making me wait several minutes WITHOUT even ACKNOWLEDGING my presents. He finally comes over and I ask if my prints are ready yet and he very rudely asked "well, did you get the email?" to which I told him no I hadn't but the last time I had ordered I didn't get an email either. So, he then went to look for my order and came back with "we don't have anything to do with your order" Now mind you, this is day 3. He then brushed me off by telling me it might be in by tomorrow. That was Tuesday. It is now thursday and I have yet to receive any email that my items are ready for pick up and it has been a week since I sent in the order. In summary, the emails the print and copy center are supposed to send are never sent, and DO NOT expect to get your item within the alloted time so order WEEKS in advance because apparently that's how long it takes even though that isn't what is advertised. And the customer service skills of their employees need ALOT of work. When my first order was late, I said I would not be dealing with staples again, but I chalked it up to a fluke and apparently IT WAS NOT as I have yet to be informed that my second order has even been printed. Unless something DRASTICALLY changes, I will be spending my money ELSEWHERE, and not for just printing but the business, and computer, printer side of things as well. Thanks for the nightmaers staples, you used to be my favourite store.

On April 27th, 2022. I walk in there looking to buy a gaming laptop. The prices were very reasonable, but there was barely any staff, so I had to go find someone to help me. Staff shortages are to be expected right now. No big deal. A man in a long sleeved red shirt, I assumed to be in management, found me a CSR. He was stocking something on a ladder. The CSR who helped me was very condescending and rebuffed any questions I had about the product. I work from home and my old laptop had quit the night before, so I was willing to let the rudeness go for the sake of a quick transaction. I picked out a TUF gaming laptop and was told to wait by the front. After a long wait, he brought me a ASUS Vivobook. I told him it was not the one I wanted, apologize for the confusion, and I spelt out T-U-F because of my accent I didn't want him to misunderstand. He turned on his heel and said, " Yes, got. T-F-U" with emphasis. At first, I thought misheard but who I believe was the manager visibly shudder, so i told him to tell the CSR to forget that I wouldn't tolerate that treatment. I refused to pay well over a thousand dollars for the privilege to be insulted. I took my business to Best Buy. This is my first google review ever. I am not a Karen. I don't expect the red carpet treatment. But when your store is empty and your clearly down staff, can you afford to lose this business.

Customer service is lacking. Copy center was not able to read a newer USB key and had 3 tech's try different ports to see if it would work. The third tech just walked over in a loud voice saying it's our key and stop trying because we read hundered of keys a day and it's our issue. As a customer at a cash and others wating in line thanks for making me feel horrible having everyone staring at me as they wait in line because it's "our issue". Went to the computer section inn the store and a trainee let us plug it in and it read perfectly. Trainee even offered to transfer the data for us on one of their keys. After going in the office he comes back out saying there will be a $40. Charge just to move the file onto one of their keys. After saying no I had 2 more in training staff come over and try to help. At least the staff in training were more considerate and helpful. Asked to speak to the manager and she offered a $15 fee as we have to pay the tech 15 mis of work to move the file.. After I said no she gave no other options to help me except renting time on their computer to transfer a file at a cost. After that she refused any other help saying there was nothing she can do. I mentioned the issue with the print service staff and she said she would speak to her that all she could do...

I purchased several toner cartridges online at Staples.ca in February, 2019. I use about 1 every 6-8 weeks. I opened the last one now, and it is defective. The printing is to faint to see. I love my Brother laser printer as it prints the same quality on the 1st page of a new cartridge, as it does on the last page. So having a faint printed page is extremely rare. I went to the store # 133 in Kingston, Ontario, and they did not have the same brand name in stock, so they could not give me a new cartridge. However, the manager on duty gave me a discount on what they had in stock so the price was similar to what I had paid online. She instructed me to call the online store and I could request an exchange. So I called, and was declined. 1) the time was too long, so out of policy and 2) the toner had been opened. So, because I spent almost $250 on toner in one shot, and didn't use them all within 2 months, I loose. Plus, how would I know the cartridge is defective if I didn't first open it? Buyer beware!!

Provides anything related to the workspace. The sales staff are more knowledgeable about products than Best Buy. I was surprised at the level of technical products available to buy. A lot of the talk for tech services to fix existing old products can get complicated but the warranty coverage is good and most of the time the staff explain it well and have the customers best interests in mind they will even tell you not to buy a product if it is not the best solution for you. The placement of a lot of the products is confusing and questionable, with a lot of different places for electronic cords. Even some of the staff have had trouble finding stuff at some point but thankfully there's usually some staff to help you find the product for you. Long story short: Easy Care and product service warranties are great, store organization could definitely use some work, but staff more than make up of it.

I went in to make 6 copies of 1 document in black and white. The copy machines on the floor required a credit card or copy card. At 16 cents each I didn't want to use my credit card. I went to the copy desk, asked for 6 copies..$4.94!! That's what it cost me!! Apparently there is a shipping and handling fee to turn your back on said client to make the copies and turn around! Never was I told it would cost 23 cents per sheet plus plus plus! I just wanted to pay CASH! Not once did the young lady say anything like I'm supposed to know you are penalized for using cash, not credit. 6 copies, I've been ripped off!. When asked, she barely had a reply and handed me an envelope, which I left there No apology, no information and lack of customer service. I will not recommend this store for copies unless of course they want to use a credit card for a couple of dollars, yes I'm infuriated!

Most of the staff here are very helpful, usually have everything I’m looking. Kinda hard to find a specific item without asking a staff member but it’s usually a pleasant experience. Only had one bad experience, it was 1 and a half hours until closing staff acted like they had better things to do then to help, when I went to check out staff was making comments about trump supporters that all customers overheard, trumps not great in my books either but I think political views that use vulgarity and slurs wouldn’t be a great time to say in front of customers (with children).

  • nirav patel

I was at staples to print one document from my email and I login on one computer and at the time of printing I found the computer wasn’t connected to the printer so I asked for help to staff. She came after 8-10 mins and told me the printer was under maintenance so I can’t print. But the system changed me $5-6 for nothing. She told me to do mobile print so I do so and that printer was also under maintenance which I figured out after 5 mins. So other staff helped me with other printer then I got my print. It took almost 30mins and $6 for one print. That’s ridiculous.

Zero customer service. When in to inquire about printing service. The person behind the counter clearly did not want to help me. I asked about printing a gift certificate. Was told their not designers and I needed give them a copy ready file I asked was that was and got a sigh!! I continued to ask for direction or help as was again told we don't do that. So, then I went to the other counter, the person looked up at me and then walked into the back room. The pandemic is over folks, let's get back to something simple like customer service service.

Both arms of our Kendros Task chair (purchased 2016) have worn through and we needed assistance and direction as to what our options were. As it turns out, with the aid of staff including Liam at the Kingston Store, and besides an understanding reception and sympathetic ear, we were provided a contact phone number to call customer support. We followed up with Kirsten at customer support, who promptly offered full support for their product and customer (us). What a pleasant way to do business. Thanks to all.

  • Linda Shanks

This store was less than helpful when I needed to scan some documents. You must use a credit card. They would not even give me an estimate of how much money to put on the card. Then I have to wait for a refund on my card. Such inconvenience. Would not help me with the process which I did not understand. All she would say is this is self service. To do self service, I need to learn the process. Clearly this store has told their employees that people do not matter and that service is never to be offered.

  • C. Runpixierun

Excellent customer service at this location! Tech sales and support rep Kieran is extremely knowledgable and provides excellent product information and advice. Whether I am buying larger ticket items or, like yesterday, going in just to buy an inexpensive peripheral, I am given amazing service every time. So, I have great confidence in the tech staff here for my purchases from this Staples store. That is why I will always shop here instead of taking chances elsewhere.

Great experience at the Staples in Kingston located at the Rio-Can centre on Gardiners Road. Went in to purchase an "Otter Defender" series iPhone 8 protective case. Store was able to price match the item with Amazon.ca and i saved at least 50%. The store associates helped and the transaction went smoothly and without hassle. I have always frequented this store and love their products. Would recommend to one and all to make their work and home office purchases there.

  • jack mori

I am shocked from the service i got from an employee at this location. I don't think I've ever had better service anywhere before. Usually I'm the kind of person who goes in and does his own thing, but this was the one time i got to know so much and the new technology i got was a great buy. You got any questions regarding computers and gaming, ask for the employee who's name is at the bottom of this post. Employee name: Kyle Lam Technology Associate 616 Gardiners Rd

I got my photo taken here for immigration purposes and My photo was rejected by IRCC for multiple reasons. My application process is significantly delayed due to this which is impacting my travel plans. Very dissapointed. Please do yourselves a favor and do not get important photos taken there. In fact, i will teach out to their manager at my earliest convenience to address this because this is not OK and very serious just to stay as a google review

  • Connie King

Kyle l was very patient with me and went above and beyond in helping me as a Tec so I could get papers copied. The women working in The printing dept were very patient and helpful. A very positive experience when it very easily would have been a disaster for me. Kyle l is a great Ambassador for your business and I look forward to having a tutorial with him to learn more. It is not easy for a senior to learn the new technology. Thank you.

Stopped in to do a return today June 19, Store 133 Kingston Ont with a item purchased Mar 13/20 and was told I was past the 30 day return policy. Hello Covid! This was my first venture out since March, in keeping with the recommended stay home policy for Covid. WOW! Very disappointed with customer service, and found it hard to believe they wouldn’t accept a small $7.00 return. Not impressed!

  • E Kangaroo

Wow! Superior service at the print shop! I submitted engineering prints online on Sunday afternoon, and they had them ready to pick up within 30mins. This is great, and now helps speed up work for the start of the week. The new branding of "solution shop" is living up to the name so far. Pleasantly surprised and will be back! Thanks to their hard work!

  • Patricia Page

I received the best customer experience by Greg at Staples. He helped me make the right decision on the best computer for my son with my budget and what my son needed for gaming. After being to many other stores, I choose to purchase the computer at Staples , for the excellent service by Greg! BTW- my son loves his new laptop. Thanks Greg and Staples!

  • Sarah-Chasity Johnson

Matthew was an absolute Saint. I left confident and way under my budget. I highly recommend requesting him if he's in. This kid is going places. Integrity, understanding, and very knowledgeable. He took his time making sure I understood the pros and cons and helped me weigh out my final decision....till 2028, that is ;)

  • Ada Kalu-Obuba

It was my first time in a Staples shop in Canada. Was invited to buy a phone, by a friend who works there; Abhishek. I liked his professionalism, and detailing was exceptional. Jeremy, the manager on duty, was also very pleasant! The ambience was nice and comfortable. Great service! Happy with my purchase!

  • Daisy Woelk

It's always a good time going to Staples -- of my favourite past times (so I may be a little biased here). This branch, though, always does an outstanding job at reaching out to lend a hand, is rife with information, and its employees are consistently kind. Love the atmosphere and love the products!

  • Anne-Marie Langan

Manager spent an hour helping setting up a computer for my friend and showing her how to use it! Went well above and beyond and was so pleasant and patient. I will be going back to get my office supplies from there from now on thanks to his amazing customer service and encourage you to do the same

  • B Campbell

Twice needed to print, scan and email. Both times took 20 and 40 minutes. Help is reluctant to help. The ONE computer is stupid slow! When I asked if they had Wi-Fi they said yes but use the store next door's wifi. Joke for what say they are a tech store as well as office supplies.

  • Faridoon Haidary

Their self service printer is wonderful. Very user friendly interface, efficient and cost effective. Good quality for the pictures. And if help is needed, the staff are very helpful. I wish their self service printers had multiple photo sizes to choose from.

  • Steve Fraser

Went to Walmart first to have my status photo done, told me that they didn't do them and then they laughed when I said something. Went to Staples and got they best service ever. Plus Staples was ten dollars cheaper. Can not thank them enough.

  • Allan Good

Store was clean and spacious. Well laid out and had computer chairs assembled and ready to sit in to test out. Staff member was there right away without us asking or hunting him down.Customer service which is usually lacking these days

  • Paul Carroll

A very sincere thank to Jose for his excellent customer service. He very ably and quickly addressed a printing task for me which unbeknownst to him was critical to my business being able to service a key client. Thanks Jose.

  • John Whitmore

Staples has great merchandise selection. Helpful, friendly, knowledgeable staff when I had questions. Also provided me information on their Canadian website. Great place to go for office supplies that are reasonably priced.

  • Sacha

Worked with Lacey from the copy & print centre on a project for graduation. This was so well serviced, unbelievable! She knows what she’s doing and has excellent customer service skills! Thank you for all your help!

  • C.J Finnie

Went In to get information on purchasing new laptop. I lookedaround the laptops for about 30 mins. I didn't see one salesperson. No one spoke to me. I just left..guess they don't need to make a sale. …

  • Arjun Bakshi

I used to love visiting here. But charging extra 25 bucks for soft copy of photos for just putting them in your device is completely unjustified and unfair. It should be inclusive in hard copies payment.

  • Muriel Rosenplot

Ordered address labels online on a Tuesday, received an e-mail on Wednesday telling me my labels were ready for pickup. Very satisfied with entire experience and how fast the order was completed.

  • Lisa Gurran

Found what I needed with help as a first time buyer of the item. Came across a couple of really pleasant persons working there. Ended up buying more than I came for. Also noticed recycling bins.

  • Mike Miller

Most unresponsive, lazy and irresponsible tech department. They can't be bothered to even respond to calls. Probably expect their salaries to be delivered at their homes without doing any work.

  • Gil Strachan

Big, clean, well-organized and well-stocked store. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. I always find what I need. Conveniently located in the RioCan Centre on Gardners Road. Tons of parking.

  • Richard Weigand

Love this store. Wide variety of products competitively priced. Knowledgeable staff to help out as needed. Happy the staff were able to bring the heavy box of paper to my car.

  • L MN

Everyone at this location is great. Helpful and not a long time waiting for service. Google states is doesn't open until 12 on Sunday but it really opens at 11 .

  • Anzal CM

The customer care services are not worth. This company could save money by putting some mannequin instead of giving salary to the customer care associates.

  • Zander Van Asperen

Great experience! Griffen made the experience very friendly and convenient! Any questions I had he could easily answer. Will be coming back soon!

  • Christine Janiuk

Friday I bought a desk/workstation for 400$ plus tax and warranty. Firstly, I know I wasn't dressed like a business woman but I didn't think it
