My issues with best buy this year have to do with the lack of knowledge that some of the associates have but not all of them bacause the ones that don't know something at least ding a way to help but others simply don't. On black Friday I purchased online a tablet, an external hard drive and a laptop (hp envy 360 i7 Intel processor with 12 gigs of ram 512 gigs hard drive) they had half of my order ready in the Bronx terminal store but the laptop was not available and the website says that there are some available in the fordham RD location. I go to the fordham RD store to get my laptop and they tell me that the order is being verified but I already have half of my order and my card was already charged, once in the store they tell that I need to call the best buy customer service number from the back of my card (I have a best buy card) and they placed me on hold for 45 minutes to speak with a supervisor because the person on the line was not understanding what was happening after speaking to the supervisor and not going anywhere I canceled my order. Once on the store I was convinced the another laptop did exactly the same that I needed compared to the one from the canceled order. Once I got the laptop I tested it and it did no do any of the things I told the associate I needed for the laptop to do so I returned the laptop (one canceled order and now a laptop return) I go back to the store that is closer to me to return the laptop and there another associate was trying to help on getting another laptop but she was to able to answer any of the questions I had about the laptop and the things that I needed. Then another associate that had help me in the past came through and was able to help as best as he could but was not very knowledgeable on what I needed and called someone that supposedly knew what I wanted and sold and extra hard because the laptop they were trying to sell did not have the amount of storage that I needed and was told that it was user friendly upgradable I took the new hard drive and the new laptop home and when trying the upgrade it was literally imposible to do. I could take it anymore and went to a 3rd best buy store to get one they had in stock that could finally do what I needed. One I got the new laptop and returned the other one this new had a damaged screen and I did mentioned to the associate at the third store that the box was dented and the sticker looked like it was removed and put back again. Now I have to go back to that particular store where they have more available and see if it works. Is a long review but I needed to get this out of my chest.

Whoever is managing this location as in District Manager needs to replace existing store management immediately along with 99% of existing employees as they aren’t helpful or representing Best Buy accurately. I visited this location to purchase a home surveillance system and no one could or would help starting from the front cashiers to the entire floor. There are sufficient employees but all huddled together in conversation pretending to unload merchandise and when asked for help they either ignore you or say it’s not their location or just walk away to the back not returning. It took 4 different employees to finally receive help but all with an attitude and no merchandise knowledge whatsoever so basically had to just purchase anything they had in stock because they seemed to not have much of anything or just didn’t want to look in the back. Then we tried to ask for the restroom which became another task and finally we found a Latina woman with a ponytail who didn’t seem to want to help us until she finished her task of stocking several items but we over looked it all due to the Holidays until we revisited again shortly after and we’re greeted with the very same non existent help as before from a younger Latina female employee who refused to allow me to use the restroom even after I specified it was an emergency. She lied and claimed it was unlocked only to have me find they weren’t as they weren’t the last time either and when I found her again in the front to ask her again to please use the restroom she condescendingly mocked me and took her sweet time opening the door carrying conversations with several male employees walking by inappropriately. Then we needed help with two other items which also became a nightmare so I brought my concern to a male manager who tried to help but wasn’t knowledgeable himself. We left but returned to find our items thankfully a younger male employee with a black tshirt helped us which stunned me as everyone else had on blue tshirts. I used to work as a salesperson and then manager years ago and was horrified at the lack of leadership this location has and would fire the 5 rude employees on the spot if I managed this team for their unprofessionalism. No one should be mistreated this way ever especially when dealing with the public and hope the right people take action because it’d be a travesty if this location closed entirely.

TOTAL TECH IS A SCAM. Today my phone was stolen and I was told they can't do anything about it at all. That I would have to continue paying a phone I don't have. As well that I would need to purchase a new phone because they can't do anything. I purchased a phone in September, I specifically asked for just protection on the phone. I let the worker know this 3 times and said once that I don't want the membership. As soon as I leave the store. I get an email about a membership. I go back into the store to speak with customer service was told that the membership was a protection plan.... again I specifically stated I didn't want a membership. They told me that it's the best thing because it even covers devices I have at home as well. I would have to renew it every year for $180. I asked what does it cover about the phone. They told me everything. Clearly not everything when I go in today to figure out how to make a claim. I'm told they don't cover lost and theft. Which is ridiculous because if I'm paying $180 for a membership a year it should be covered. Atleast charge a certain price if lost to get a new one like any other company. Not only that it should be told that they don't cover loss or theft before purchasing. Now I'm stuck paying for a phone that I don't have. Was signed up for a membership that I didn't ask for at all to being with. I can't even use. If I was told they didn't cover lost/theft I wouldn't even have brought that phone to being with. BEWARE OF THESE WORKERS. They love signing people up for memberships and not disclosing certain information. They just want to make a sale.

My God! The last 24 hours were extremely stressful. I had an audio related project I needed to submit for a job and I couldn’t figure out how to make it work on my brand new laptop. I was frazzled and STRESSED out and I walked over to Best Buy to plead for help. I walked up to the counter and Edwin asked me how I was doing. I told him I was not good and needed help. This man is a GOD and a saint mixed in one. He worked on my computer for TWO hours helping me figure out how to get the software up and running. I had to return my laptop and buy a new one to get the software to work. Edwin is the epitome of superb customer service. He went ABOVE AND BEYOND for a frazzled stranger. We worked on it together through all the roadblocks. He never gave up and as we figured out the roadblocks we celebrated. When I tell you he is INCREDIBLE believe it. He never lost faith that we would get it to work. If you’re considering getting the Geek Squad membership DO NOT HESITATE! It is soooooo worth it! Three Cheers for Edwin in Geek Squad! Edwin! Edwin! Edwin! When my podcast gets chosen it will all be because of your help! Thank youuuu!!!

Today, November 27th, 2023 I went to pick up my online order. First let me say they only had one line for pick up, purchase, returns you name it. Then after waiting about 30 minutes in the line, they tell me my tv is still in the warehouse that I’ll have to wait. After waiting 50 minutes they came out with the tv & I asked if someone could help me bring it to the cab they said no, then he tells me he can take it to the elevator. I then ask him who is his manager and he tells me he doesn’t know. Could you imagine trying to get something done and they couldn’t and wouldn’t help not one bit? Thank god there was a taxi guy outside and asked if I needed help and he went and brung his car and helped me with this. Best Buy please do better, please pay your workers enough where they would like to help us without a problem. Or at least open more registers there should be more reason I made a pick up & im in the store waiting for a whole hour and some change

I was looking for a backpack but the price seemed too low to be true, I asked the employee by the backpack desk and she said that was not the price. She was standing next to me and said bring that to my desk I will tell you the price. I said I was only asking for the price and she insisted that I bring it to her, well I did. As I walked out after purchasing I told two senior guys what happened and they said too many customers complain about her attitude. I only came here today because it was conveniently good for us due to time. Was able to purchase an antenna & Chrome cast.I was not helped ith my purchase, everyone was busy with a customer. So I did my best to get what I needed. They do need more sales help if you're reading this. We waited on line to check out as we watched the cashier go back & forth but never stayed long enuff to actually check anyone out. We laughed & finally one customer got fed up and went to the front area & demanded service immediately. Well thanks to her they sent another young lady over & we were able to check out & leave. So Best Buy gets a 2 star today. Hopefully they hire more help.

Customer service needs alot more improvement, staff hanging out and on their phones is unacceptable. I literally walk for about 10 minutes more or less before I found someone that would "Help Me", I asked him to help me find an Modem/wireless router with certain specifications and according to him the item was not in stock. I asked him to help me find another brand with those specifications and he said that the store did not have any in stock, told me to order it online. I looked through the shelves and of course I found the modem I was looking for. It's a shame that most stores in the Bronx have suck terrible customer service.

If I could give this best buy a zero I would! This has got to be to most unorganized store there is. I purchased a tv online for store pickup, received an email stating it was ready for pickup. Fast forward to 4 pm and the store tells me that someone already picked it up. I don’t understand how a 65inch Sony tv was picked up without verifying Id or person for pickup. They tried to “fix” it by giving me a floor model with a deep scratch on it. I refused! The manager did not speak directly to me, nor did he apologize for my inconvenience. Let me leave the store with my refund. DO NOT COME TO THIS STORE FIND ANOTHER IN THE BRONX.

Love this place, staff was super friendly. Asked me if I needed help. I like to take my time to see my best options and the manager was so patient with me and my 4 kids. He definitely knew his stuff and what he didn't know he went out of his way to look for the details or prices for the items. Prices for the electronics were actually very affordable. They also had alot of open box clearances super affordable prices. And if their store doesn't carry it they have no problem looking for you in another Best buy store just ask. Didn't catch the managers name but he has dark curly hair with blond tips. Very cool guy.

Im really not sure what is going on in this store went to purchase airpods and a new galaxy tablet. First they told me I couldn’t trade in my old airpods even though it says you can online, then the 10.5 tablet I went to purchase which was priced at $199 they wouldn’t show to me and also said it was the same size as the old one I bought to the store which is 8inches. She tried to get me to buy one for over $400. I past math class and I very well know that a 8 inch tablet and a 10 inch tablet will not be the same size. So now I’m doing it online and will just pick it up in store

I have always had the best experience in Best Buy. I love that fact that whatever you purchase there, as long as you have insurance on it, and active, you can bring it back and replace it with whatever. No questions asked just have the box and the product and it's easy peasy. I brought me some Bluetooth earbuds 2 yrs ago. 2 days prior to expiration of insurance, I brong them back, picked out new ones, paid the difference btwn the old and new, of course added insurance back and that was it. Thank you Best Buy for being the best electronics store to shop at.

Everyone had extremely terrible and ghetto attitudes and personalities they will make you feel like your not wanted there I'd say for a store selling stuff that's 2,000 dollars and up they need to act like it if I was the general manager I would fire everyone no question it was that bad of a experience they also put wrong prices on items and don't value it to mislead people they need a visit from corporate as a former best buy employee I'm very disappointed corporate needs to show up asap

Cherish was absolutely stellar and gave us phenomenal service. We were not given any solutions at checkout and left waiting for help for 43 minutes before we walked over to her in her section. She was not only able to help us with finding a solution. We were able to get the answered originally asked answered as well as purchasing the product in replacement for the defective item. Thank you Cherish your doing phenomenal and the experience was amazing due to your service.

This bestbuy has the worse customer assistance I ever seen in any other best buy. I waited 30min for someone to assist me. Every time I approached a staff they will tell me am jot from that department. I had to go the the cashier and she was kind enough to get someone to help me. Very frustrating when you shoping and now what you want but there is no one comes to assist you. I will never again go to this bestbuy The worse, I will give it a -2 starts if possible.

Sales were awesome, but besides the brother who brought me my TV ,he had no customer service. When I walked to him, he'd blasted the radio to tune out my needs. They need to improve a lot, I order online on black friday sale to pick up at this location, half of my order was ready the guy on the counter told me to gather the test of the items my self, and I replied, is that my job my friend? You don't have somebody on the floor that can do that?, He when on look for the missing items just to show up with the wrong color, I had to come again, just because they are sleep walking.

Could not get anyone to help me find a cable I needed so I ended up ordering it online . I was showed wonderful laptops for my price range as well as for the purpose I was using it for! Went in for a charger, found the charger I needed at a lower price. Apparently an employee placed all the chargers in the wrong spot and the managers decided they wouldn't respect their own corporate pricing policy even though the discount wouldn't have been that far off. Managers had me wait but none of them would even come over and talk to me. Won't be back to this store.

This store has gotten so bad over the years, nothing is stocked properly so you end up having to ask the workers to find what you want or have to wait 20 or 30 mins for them to find it in the back also they stock thing incorrectly making you think your getting a deal to just be told that's not the right price and they will not give you the price even when it's their fault.

I know it's important that everyone works right now(COVID-19), and I am no rocket surgeon but it's my opinion that vampires should not be in charge of Curbside Pickup. I placed an order for Curbside Pickup, they labeled it as picked up without me ever having touch the store. In the future I am going to just leave, and perform a charge back.

I've always had excellent encounters in BestBuy. The trick is to be sure toy disk with someone knowledgeable. This encounter was no different. The gentleman didn't try to upsell me, was informative. It helps to know at least know a little about what your looking for.

Great salesman helped me decide on a great laptop. Very knowledgeable, practical, and not trying to upsell me. And the extended warranty has given me 60 days to return or exchange if I am not happy with my purchase. So far, I am happy and satisfied.
