My sweet father passed away suddenly on 12/27/2018. Losing my father was a huge loss for me (I'm still extremely devastated). Losing him so unexpectedly (especially two days after Christmas) was something I was not prepared for. Emotionally I was a mess and the task of preparing for his service and cremation became my sole responsibility. Unsure of what to do next or where to go I started googling mortuary's in my area and I came across Best Funeral Services. The positive reviews and location caught my attention. Trust me when I say that one has several options to choose from when you are looking for a mortuary. I am glad that I went with Best. I figured after reading all the positive reviews and with the name like "Best" they probably are! I called Best Funeral Services on a Saturday afternoon and was able to make an appointment to meet with someone the very next day. First off, I want to say that choosing a mortuary is something that most people don't think about until you absolutely have to and when you do, it can be a very emotional experience not to mention overwhelming. When we walked into the building we were greeted right away and seen promptly by Carrie Perea. who brought us back to her office so we could discuss our options and go over details etc. Carrie was absolutely amazing. From the moment I walked into her office, I felt a sense of comfort and reassurance. She was with me every step of the way. She explained all of my options and allowed me time to make my own decisions. Nobody tried to upsell me on anything. She communicated with me, met all my needs, answered every single question, email and request that I had. Everything was taken care of effortlessly by Carrie and Best Funeral Services. I never had any doubts that my father would look less than wonderful and that his service would be anything less than as expected. Carrie helped me every step of the way as to not feel overwhelmed or alone. Her genuine compassion for others shows. Her empathy is real. She understands human emotions and I genuinely felt like she cared and respected my dad, myself and my family. I had a viewing and service for my Dad before his cremation. My dad looked really good, and I think Carrie did a wonderful job with him. I can't say enough things about how truly amazing Carrie was and how fortunate I feel for not going with a different mortuary. She even walked with me to my car when I picked up my urn to make sure I was okay before I left. I am very pleased with the company and their services and would highly recommend them to anyone. There truly is a reason they are called Best Funeral Services.

I came from Washington, D.C., to collect my cousin's remains. My cousin, Greg.Rhodes, had pre-selected Best Funeral Services to handle his cremation. He made an excellent choice. From the time that I contacted Best, prior.to.my departure from.Washington, to my departure with my cousin's remains, Best lived up to their name. I had direct contact with Carol, Jamie and Grace, all three of whom showed themselves to be caring, kind, efficient and resourceful in fulfilling the needs of our family at a time.when we needed help and understanding. Grace was a sweet, comforting presence and the face that I will!.always associate.with this great.company. She made me feel that she and Best sincerely mourned with me in my loss. Jamie was the person who.pulled.out all.the stops to make things happen in a timely manner. Due to the crunch of COVID-19 funerals and an untimely crash of the county's website, the process of getting Greg's Death Certificate slowed to a crawl. But I needed that certificate to complete my responsibilities as Greg's executor. I never spoke with her, nor saw her, but Jamie went above and beyond to make the county officials understand our family's situation and our added expense and inconvenience because of the 2,400 mile travel. I am not entirely certain what magic she and Carol brewed up, but they made it work! Carol, with her kind and friendly voice, made certain that everything happened and that it happened as quickly as possible. I know for certain that Carol worked overtime on multiple occasions and called me to insure that I was aware of what was happening and to reassure me that they were working to make thing happen in my family's favor, even when success was not certain, she contacted me daily!y to give me an update. In the end things did indeed work in our favor, we got the certificate and Carol called to inform me that she had the certificate in her hands as we spoke. Even calling at 5:45 I the evening, when she should have already been home.with her family. Best Funeral Services and especially Carol, Jamie and Grace, treated me like a member of.the family who needed their help. I will be eternally grateful for their understanding,, kindness and service. The employee Kevin from the Peoria location, who for whatever reason worked on the East side this day, ruined everything for my family during this very difficult time. I will always recommend genuine, kind folk to seek anywhere other than BestFuneralServices for their funeral services, until my own passing day. My father passed suddenly from ALS, and none of my siblings nor close relatives have experienced a loss like this ever before. My loved ones expected at the very least, to be greeted with a minor dose of empathy. The mother, father, wife, and daughter showed up, and immediately was greeted with "We can only see two of you." I have been told more recently, that funeral services are kind, empathetic, understanding and welcoming. From the very beginning, Kevin from Peoria provided zero empathy, zero "I am sorry for your loss.", zero "we are grateful that you have chosen our company to service you during this difficult time." Therefore, the father ( who paid ) and wife ( who loved ) were the only ones allowed in for detailed discussion about the services. Kevin, was a neglectful wreck during this process, and Kevin never answered his phone or returned our calls. Kevin eventually ended up handing our case off to a woman named Selena, who was genuinely apologetic and kind regarding our personal loss. I read that Kevin was 3x married, so he MUST be going through something! There is NO REASON to work for this company when you strive to treat grieving families with such brutality! I pray he gets fired. My family did not deserve Kevin's lack of empathy, understanding, and attitude.

The absolute WORST, if you are considering this business please do not! They cremated my grandmother without asking any questions despite there being conflicting information over how she passed. Peter Netzband during the identification of my grandmother's body OBNOXIOUSLY out loud told my mother how much time was left ex: "You have 1min left..You have 30sec left". Who in the funeral business thinks that is an appropriate manner to talk to a distraught daughter as she processes seeing her mother in such a state. Even worse it cost &1,400 for my beloved grandmother to be in a cardboard box when asked why was it more expensive Netzband advised the cardboard box had a lid, apparently that was a good reasoning for $1,400? All in all it was a terrible experience for such a vulnerable moment in our lives. I highly consider someone taking legal action against this place because I believe they are victims out there who were taken advantage of. I plead to you out there considering bringing your loved one here , DO NO DO IT. I am terribly sorry for your loss but this is not the place you want your loved one to be.

This place was amazing to work with. I had talked to other places and everyone was so cold. Talking with Best Funeral Services was a warm and friendly experience from the start. They handled not only my loved one with care but me as well. I really felt like I had a friend in the business. I can't express how sincere they treaded me. They filled my heart with ease and helped with every aspect and then some. I don't know how I would have made it through the process without them! Andy and the entire team made me feel like they had nothing but compassion and love for me. They do this daily but understand that I didn't. That is was my first time and how hard it is to be in my position. I really could go on and on about how amazing this team was to me and my family. Nothing but the best of things to say about this company. Thank you all agains so much from the bottom of my heart.

I was helping out a friend trying to make arrangements for her husband and when we called everything seamed fine. When we called again they said that nothing was coming up in the system with her information! They entered it again and once more when we called to confirm everything was set in place we were told nothing is coming up! I told the lady on the phone that we were going to go with another company and she said that's your choice and she very rudely hung up the phone on us without even trying to apologies and try to salvage the business we were bringing her! Absolutely would NOT recommend this place to anyone! To have to deal with such rude and unorganized people at such a difficult time is very sad!!!

We had a good experience with Best Funeral Services. It it is hard enough having to deal with the loss of a loved one, but even more so when you live in Ohio and your loved one is in Arizona. We dealt with Sarah over the phone, and she was very professional and took care of all of our needs. They prepared the body for a service and did an excellent job. The body was then cremated. Sarah helped us pick out the urn. Once the ashes were ready to ship, she called us to find out which day would be best for us to receive them. They were shipped via next day service, and we were sent an email with the tracking number. Everyone we dealt with was so courteous, and I would highly recommend Best Funeral Services.

My mother was cremated by Best Funeral Services in Peoria Arizona and even though she had prepaid for her cremation the Funeral Home added on additional fees in the hundreds of dollars at the last minute without our knowledge. They held off the cremation until our family paid the fees. This was very unfair because we had the option to make different arrangements and could have avoided these extravagant fees, but the Funeral Home Employees did not disclose this option to us. The Funeral Home Manager will not respond to our complaints and we strongly encourage everyone to use a different Funeral Home. One that would have better customer service then this one.

Contacted Best because they had onsite cremation. Since we needed to fly back to my Dad's home state with his ashes we where told he would be ready for pick up our day of departure. When we called that morning to confirm our time to get him we where told that he was not on the docket and that others where placed ahead of him since they payed for expedited service. Also was told that if we wanted him shipped to us we would have to pay $140. This is appauling that money is more important to this company versus fullfilling their comitment during our difficult time. I would strongly recommend not using their services. I would give a ZERO rating if Allowed

I’ve had an amazing experience with best funeral services. I’m only 22 years old dealing with the sudden loss of my mother completely lost and didn’t even know where to start or what to do. Nathan was nothing but kind and understanding throughout this whole process. I’ve called 5 different funeral homes and everyone was super bland and didn’t really help direct on what to do but Nathan went through the entire process with me and completely broke it down making this experience so easy. Super thankful for all this help he definitely deserves a raise lol. If you are young or have never experienced a loss I recommend Nathan at best funeral services!

Our over allexperience was really good with best funeral services it did seem to take longer than expected to be able to pick up the remains but all in all very pleased. When my wife and I went to get the remains we had the pleasure of talking and being helped by Erik he is very nice and compassionate and makes you feel at ease and comfortable even though your picking up the remains of a loved one. Thank you Erik and all the other staff that behind the scene y'all are amazing and when we need your servises again we will be back hopefully not for a while though haha

Carol helped me with every part of this process from start to finish. I had no idea how to handle the things that needed to be done after the death of a loved one, however, she answered every question I had, got me set up with everything I wanted including the viewing and the urns, and she even worked with me on holding everything until I got the chance to make it back out to Phoenix as I live out of town. Failure to provide correct link for website obituary resulting in one week delay. Failure to provide correct information regarding cremation. Failure to schedule burial with National Cemetery promptly. When staff doesn’t know the answer they make one up. Are the correct cremains returned. Who knows.

I think it is disgusting that they put a salesperson on the phone with you and use photos of a cardboard box like you would ship something in as the upsell. Then they tell you we think she would be much more comfortable in a nicer box. Money is not at all the issue. Seriously disgusting.
