I went to Bunnings Glenorchy today Tuesday 31/8/21 to purchase a number of different hardware items. As usual with Bunnings they have such a great range of products for both professional tradesmen and completely DIY amateurs like me. I have mostly found Bunnings prices to be competitive and really good quality. I find the staff to be knowledgeable and helpful. That being said, I particularly want to give a HUGE thank you to a young lady that was on the seperate checkout area where all the electrical tools etc are held. I found out that her name is Khayler. I first asked her where a certain item was in the store, she immediately pointed me in the right direction, her advice was delivered with a friendly smile and made one feel special and that their simple enquiry was important to her. After a while I found that some directions by other staff weren't as accurate, nor was the Bunnings app. I think the app was only inaccurate due to stock shortage of some items. However, I found myself returning to Khayler as she was like a store encyclopaedia when it came to finding where stock is situated. I think I asked her on four occassions and how she knew exactly where stock was situated, to me, was amazing. So, to me, Khayler is the epitome of what a professional staff member member is. Not only did she know her products and where they were, she was always keen to assist and make a customer feel special. She was also immaculately presented. I know I have written a large portion of this review about this staff member, but to me she made my visit faster, due to her knowledge and pleasant due to her positive character. I will also thank the gentleman at the vehicle entry door, name not known, but has white hair and glasses and there about 1130/45. I asked him a question about wood and didn't know exactly what I needed to carry out my task. After talking to him he took me to the exact wood product that will do the task perfectly. I had no idea that the product he showed me existed. So a big thank you to him for his expertise. To me, it was these two staff members that made my shopping at Bunnings Glenorchy a very pleasant, successful trip. Bunnings are fortunate to have such professionals as these, they are a real asset to their company.

On Friday 10/11/17 I purchased a hose fitting @ Howard Road Store. First I must say that the salesman who helped me was most helpful, & went to much trouble to find what I was needing. {His name was Aron. I think} I initially shopped in Isle 31. By contrast my experience on Monday 13/11/17 when I went to exchange said fitting, was appalling. I explained to the girl at the door of the garden department that I wanted to exchange the fitting & as I could not find what I needed on the previous Monday, maybe I could get a refund.. She asked me to wait by the check out & the cashier would help me. This I did for some time, Then she suggested I wait in the que. Which I might add was getting longer whilst I had been waiting.. Finally after waiting some more & approaching the check out at a snail's pace, the same girl told me that I must go to the end of the corridor to the exchange department & they could not help me here. I almost burst into tears. I am almost 90 years old & after standing for so long I was exhausted, & the thought of walking to the end of the building seemed formidable. I wonder what has happened to service?? Is the staff @ the entrance not trained properly. Surely she should have pointed me to the exchange department in the first instance. I assure you that if I ever shop @ Bunnings again, it will not be willingly. & not for a very long time.

I recently visited Bunnings Glenorchy, and I must say it was a fantastic shopping experience. This place is a DIY enthusiast's dream come true! First off, the range of products they have is mind-boggling. Whether you're tackling a home improvement project or just looking for gardening supplies, they've got you covered. It's like a treasure trove for DIYers! The staff here are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. They were more than happy to assist me in finding the right tools and materials for my project. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers. What also impressed me was the cleanliness and organization of the store. Everything is well-labeled and easy to find, which makes shopping a breeze. And let's not forget their sausage sizzle on the weekends - a classic Aussie tradition! Grabbing a sausage sandwich after a productive shopping trip is the perfect way to end the visit. Overall, Bunnings Glenorchy is a one-stop-shop for all your home improvement needs. Whether you're a seasoned DIY pro or just starting out, this place is a must-visit. I highly recommend it! ️

This evening I was met by a man who had more badges then his IQ score. I was sold a product that had a fault, on taking the item back and waiting twenty minutes to be attended too. Up rolls a worker, I explained the fault, he agreed to give me a “brand new” replacement of the item, once in the isle after watching him troubleshoot. He suggested I take their display model, now I would’ve been fine with that, BUT the display item was marked at $98 and the new in the box was $120 So after bringing this too the workers attention he said he’d drop the price to $75 and give me store credit to makeup the difference. I was happy to take that.. But once at the counter said worker ran into some friends and forgot to mention to the front counter what the deal was before disappearing having a chat. So I didn’t receive store credit, and after explaining to the person at the counter I was looked at like I was stealing something. The desk staff called the worker to the counter but did not come to the front so after 48 minutes of returning an item I left.

Extremely annoyed and disappointed by the service that was given at the checkout today at Glenorchy.. I didnt get the ladies name but I only wish I did.. I had a elderly man that I care for with me and he was asked if he had his flybys whilst he was looking for his cards I managed to get my flybys out and the lady at check out goes to late I've already put it all through. I just thought you rude person. She had no patience to take the time for the elderly 92 year old man to get his card out, it wasn't about not getting the points, it was more about how impatient the woman was..after all the old man would be one of Hobart's richest men, he wasn't annoyed about not getting his points he was extremely annoyed by her rudeness and impatience.. Ive never faulted Bunnings as its one of my favourite stores this was one of my first bad experiences ever due to a staff member having a bad day. Just remember you to will get old one day . Shame on you

  • Tennille-Rose Kelly

Amazing service received over the phone when I was arranging a delivery. It's not always easy giving gardening advice over the phone. Staff assisted me in, not only, locating the right plants to suit my garden but the staff took the time to assist me and directed me to the items recommended online so I could also see the product. They were patient and committed to ensuring I found what I needed. They arranged delivery the very next day and the items they recommended exceeded my expectations. I was so impressed with the service, I followed their channels to leave feedback with head office. Head office contacted me the same business day to say how appreciative they were that I took the time to contact them. They also informed me that all staff members involved would receive recognition for their efforts. Great to see a business value their customers and staff so much!

Ok, so I would like to complain about the customer service at bunnings in glenorchy. I don’t usually complain about things but, we spend a lot of money at bunnings as we recently bought a house & have been doing a lot of renovations, gardening & bits & pieces. Pretty much every time we go to buy things, we have a bad experience when it comes to the staff members there, like today for instance. We had quite a few plants & a few other items, we asked nicely for a box to put them in & we were ignored by the staff member that was serving us, the lady at the door rudely told us they didn’t have any. No Thank you or have a nice day or anything like that, very bad customer service every time we go there. The staff are never friendly & have very little product knowledge when you ask them a question.

We ordered our kids a big playground for Christmas, at the beginning on November. We were told it would arrive in the first week of December, but we received nothing and heard nothing until we got a phone call 6 days before Christmas to notify us that there was no stock Australia wide. We were told that is was the suppliers who were at fault because they didn’t notify Bunnings until last minute. Regardless, there should have been communication between the two earlier. the woman in special orders refused to take any responsibility. We got our refund and a $50 gift card purely because we requested some form of compensation. Unfortunately that won’t suffice come Christmas morning when my kids have nothing.

October 2022: Still going strong. Still aiming for a monopoly. Just make sure you also support the local stores ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ April 2022: I'm hesitant to allow Bunnings to become the monopoly, but they've literally created a venue where you can get everything you need/want for your home and garden renovations, in the one spot. Prices are competitive, and the team are usually super friendly and helpful. I guess that was the downfall of K&D, buying power ceased when they dropped Mitre 10, and the staff became grumpier and grumpier as the years went along. Anyway, it's not about K&D, it's about Bunnings. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2018: Staff were super helpful when I couldn't find the shaving mirror I was looking for.

The sale manager is a lier and rude for customer. Today I going to buy the timber flooring, I double checked with the saler with the price. I told them the details and amount I needed. Then the saler called the manager and make sure the current price for me. Everything is fine. When I go to the counter and pay for the order, the manager change his mind. He said I just can buy 4 packages in stocked with special price, others I must pay the original price. He said the saler makes wrong, he did not say I can get the special price with all timber floorings. He said you just can get the special price with 4 packages. After saying that, he walked away. very rudely.

I recently visited Bunnings and had the pleasure of being assisted by Deep. He was incredibly helpful and friendly throughout my shopping experience, and his knowledge of the products was truly impressive. He took the time to listen to my needs and provided me with expert advice on the best products to suit my requirements. His exceptional customer service skills made the whole experience a joy. I highly recommend Deep to anyone visiting Bunnings - his expertise and helpfulness are second to none!

  • sukhvinder singh

Staff is really good, friendly and very helpful. There is a place for kids where they can play, and besides that also kids can do some drawings and colouring. While we grab our things, in the meantime kids can enjoy, and no issues with parking, its more than enough. Close to city so again not an issue to reach. The only thing is that we can't buy anything to eat for kids as the little restaurant closes too earlier than the actual closing time of Bunnings, I think the timings should be the same.

  • DEB BURKE

Went to Taubmans to get roof paint. For some reason they couldn’t get the colour right. Went to Bunnings Glenorchy and the lovely lady behind the counter, unfortunately I’m not allowed to say names in my review but I know she knows who she is, was amazing. Hit the perfect colour straight up. Put the staff to shame in Taubmans. Great people to deal with And I won’t bother going elsewhere in the future. What’s that old saying “Stick with what you know” or who knows in this case. Thanks ladies.

  • K P

Impeccable. Bunnings have perfected their stores. The floorplan is nice and spacious, staff are willing to assist, and the outdoor section provides a nice contrast with the rest of the building. It's also important to note that the range of products is unmatched by any other competitor, with some notible items you won't find anywhere else. Overall, Bunnings Glenorchy is a great example of a convenient and well thought-out shop. I highly recommend it.

  • Kat S

The staff were so friendly. I went in with a shopping list from my husband and no idea where to find any of it. The staff were knowledgeable, and helped me find everything. One even assisted by carrying the heavier items to the desk for me which I really appreciated. Wish I'd got their names, but to the lady in the paint aisel stacking shelves, and the gent near the ladders with the fork trolley at 845 Friday 26th November, thank you very much.

  • Andrew Hudson

As is usual with any Bunnings the variety of stock and store layout was very good. I was surprised that there were quite few people in store and had a clear run through. The staff were all helpful and pleasant. On the way out I was directed to go the long way around for social distancing. There were absolutely no people around the entry at that time but full marks to Bunnings for their resolve to adhere to the measures put in place.

  • Peter Johnson

Fairly decent store but they really need better stock control and ordering, about 25% of the time when I need fasteners of a particular exact size they've run out. Over the past few months I've also had two occasions where I've asked my wife purchase things from there and despite writing down the exact description and item number from their web pages she's ended up being provided with the wrong item.

  • RM & KC Peterson

8:30 in the morning and my first time at this store. 7 people in the line with only one register open. It took roughly 10 mins to get another register open? Plenty of staff around but more interested in the social aspect of work! One staff member was even asked to help with a BBQ and she said "nope not my turn" and walked off. Looks like customer service is also DIY here. Very poor first impression.

  • Melissa Flynn

I had a rough idea of what I was after but wasn't 100% sure about the product so when I found the area it was in someone approached me and offered help straight away! The advice was informative and straight to the point while still friendly. Store is clean and easy to navigate, didnt check out the toilets but they're at the very end near the cafe! As a casual shopper it was a good experience!

  • Andy Wright

Bunnings is my go to for most DIY building supplies. You have to be careful when choosing items as they tend to have a range of quality (elcheapo, good quality and over priced). On most occasions the middle road will be good quality and reasonable value. Just don't trust their online store "Item In Stock" indications, give them a call before driving to the store or you may be disappointed.

  • Ella Taylor

Bunnings Glenorchy is a fantastic place for all your garden needs. The variety and quality of plants and gardening supplies available here are impressive. The parking facility is convenient and spacious, making it easy to load and unload your purchases. Overall, Bunnings Glenorchy is a great destination for garden enthusiasts, offering a wide range of products and hassle-free parking.

  • Anthony Hood

Ooh Bunnings, you and your people (from Glenorchy and Mornington, TAS) did it again! There are only few days ago when your both Teams (in particular Mitch and Chris, Karl) helped me with a few special and online orders, plus shopping in store, to have all ready and delivered in one go. You are fantastic! Greatly appreciated your time, services and efforts. Best regards and wishes - AH

  • Caleb

Only bad thing is you no longer get to choose where your Onion is placed on your fundraiser sausage. The onion must be served under the sausage, this compromises the integrity of the bread however the onion is now closer to the taste buds allowing the full bodied flavour of the onion to be enjoyed more..... I don't know what I prefer but now unfortunately you no longer get a choice.

  • Terese Shepheard

Hopefully what products you need are not on a top shelf instead of a reachable shelf. The staff aren't allowed to get products down for you. We waited nearly 3 weeks for a phone call to tell us our product was now down for us to pick up. Apparently up to 500 people a day can't buy what is actually in stock and on the top shelf. Ridiculous. Not the floor staff fault. Management.

  • Garry Southwell

A great company who supports charities by allowing them to raise funds by cooking and selling sausages. Staff help with set up and taking away tables etc after the clean up. The charity cooking has a responsibility to obey Covid and other basic hygiene rules and to leave the outside kitchen area in a spotless condition. A great supporter of the Rotary Club of Sandy Bay.

  • Amit Kumar

All the hardware related to household, construction, mechanical equipments, other handheld products are available at reasonable rates. You need to search the bay for your require items or you can seek help from customer service available at entrance. Check-out is very fast and smooth. One can grab some fast foods at exit gate. Friendly staff and ample parking available.

  • Jim Roussos

I know they are doing their job but there has to be a better way than having to empty a back pack to prove that you haven’t stolen something. Also, to replace a whole tool because a minor implement is broken in a ryobi multi tool (after two goes I might add) seems to be a waste! Glenorchy is also so far away too! Rant rant rant! Sorry. I feel better now.

  • jake loh

My 70 year old father went in this morning to get some cement and he asked the foreign staff member to help him load it on the trolley and was told that he was too busy to help do it yourself basically.Bunnings need to re-educate some of their staff in manners and customer service. What happened IF he injured himself and we sued Bunnings!!!.

  • Em Hopwood

Had an unusual, and particularly negative experience, so left feedback on the web portal. Within hours, had a call from the management team who did their best to rectify the issue without fuss. We didn't necessarily agree on what occurred, but they listened, were pleasant to deal with and went above and beyond on a solution. Thank you!

  • Dhruv Chawla

Just like any other Bunnings really! Fast service, easy parking and hassle free returns. I have also ordered home delivery from them, for which one pays $10 but it was delivered next day of ordering which was pretty sweet! I would recommend ordering online if you don’t want the hassle of driving up, loading and unloading goods.

  • M R

While very impressed with some of the staff knowledge at the special desk orders. I found myself always having to ask for reordering whats missing on the shelves. It is constantly missing some items and the rotation is not good either, some products (e.g. silicone - sika products) were passed their use by date.

  • William Henderson

Just had a very enjoyable visit to Bunnings Glenorchy. Waiting in line when Sajana saw me waiting, raised her hand and asked me to come to her checkout. Excellent service with a beautiful smile and beautiful name. Please don't change your approach to customer service. A 15 out of 10 for Sajana …

  • Peter Vrakatselis

Great range of goods at hand. Basically what they're known for I guess. Plenty of parking but if they're busy (which they usually are) you still spend a little time trying to spot a bay. Usually have plenty of deals on the floor. The service is good and most of the staff are friendly and helpful.

  • Joanne Bate

I love Bunnings but this particular store had me waiting all day for assistance with a special order. After 3 phone calls and no call back I rang the Mornington store and was all sorted within minutes. Sorry Glenorchy but you’re special orders team can’t be busy ALL day long 1/10

  • Lynn Wilson

I noticed in the cleaning aisle there is plenty to choose from, but I would like clothes washing liquid added to these items as i wanted to shop in one store only that day, after speaking to a staff member I was told heaps of people ask for this would like this as a consideration

  • Y Å M Ê Z

Amazing service from a particular staff member is the main reason for this five start review. After being given the run around by another Bunnings store, the staff at Bunnings Glenorchy was only too happy to go above and beyond the call-of-duty to ensure we were satisfied. 10/10

  • Katie Henderson

Heaps of parking and very friendly staff. Dog friendly if they are in a trollie or muzzled, some of the staff have dog treats for your fur babies. Sausage sizzles almost every day. Staff in the tool section are fantastic and very helpful. Garden section and staff are great.

  • Daniel Barwick

Fantastic big store, unfortunately they are regularly out of stock of popular items. If you want to special order anything in, I wouldn't bother the special orders team are pretty useless at the best of times. But aside from that it's BUNNINGS, who doesn't like Bunnings.

  • fallguy

This place is okay. Some staffs are exceptionally good and some staffs just do not know what are the doing. Specially the customer service staffs- most of them have double standard issues(Some Nepalese/Indian lady workers are just ridiculously rude). Overall, not bad.

  • Im Chuah

I love going to Bunnings. Opens till 9pm on Fridays about the only time I manage to get there. Lots of things to look at.Large stock of light bulbs, probably the same as other electrical stores, but it is open. Staff are always very pleasant, helpful and cheerful.

  • Michaelblog456

I wanted a replacment washer for my dropsaw and a second clamp assembly, how did that go? The service desk put through an order for flanges. I have found some staff at this store, lack any kind of understadning regarding anything to do with timber and or tools.

  • Hanif

Worse customer service ever. The work looks too heavy for the female staffs and they don’t want to help. Especially Ujvala, was super lazy today and she refused to ask another staff or herself to check the price of cement sheets that I bought.

  • Beck Murray

I always love the variety at bunnings. The facilities are always clean and most of the staff are absolutely fantastic, very friendly and helpful. If they don't know something, they will go out of there way to find someone that does know

  • Xander Five

Very friendly customer service. Staff are fantastic with their knowledge of products and where to locate items in the store. I love the complimentary magazine too! Missing the sausages and shopping with the pooch during the COVID-19

  • Rama Bhandari

Worst customer service, came for return as the product still worked like new and we have not used more than twice and not satisfied with the purchase but got advice from them to sell on gumtree or something.. unprofessional people.

  • Charmaine Kelly

My very favourite place to go. . I absolutely love the place, and spend most Sundays there. . I.love the sausage sizzles.and the little cafe inside. . I love browsing the well set out aisles, + find the staff so helpful. .

  • Christine Wright

We were at the store on Friday 21st April, on exiting the Trade area the young fellow on the door checking receipt was calling my husband who would be old enough to be his grandfather Champ which is very disrespectful

  • tanya dare

Im always getting lost here, but it's alright. i always end up in the garden section, so anybody knows where to find me. They haven't always got what i want, but the staff are great and very helpful, and most smile

  • Nick

Convenient opening hours but you go in 1 hour before closure and they are all grumpy and miserable. Already packing up and looking like they want to to go home. Customers in there seem to be being rushed out.

  • Steven Daniels

Extremely helpful when asked for help finding items I was looking for. Polite and professional, my trip to bunnings was comfortable and expedient. Loved the sausage sizzle on wait for cab as well... yummo!!

  • Bob Gilmour

Good store but wait times at information and trade desks are getting longer and longer. Not enough staff or registers. Staff on duty are friendly and doing their best, but there aren't enough.

  • Saran 77

Key cut machine never works at this place. Staff has to say just machine not in order with smile on their face easy peasy. Get rid of this key cut service if can’t get it fixed disappointed.

  • Jeanette Callow

Most of the time I can find what I'm looking for. Quality can be lacking sometimes in even not so cheap products. Can be hard to find store person as they're always in a hurry somewhere

  • Dan Jensen
