My partner went into the store to enquire as to whether they would be able to trim a couple of pieces of small pipe, as there is a "cutting service" sign on the wall. The female employee looked at him like he'd grown a third head and said "no, why would we do that?". He motioned to the cutting service sign and mentioned that he'd hoped they would offer such a service. She stated "oh well you'll have to go ask the guys down the back very nicely". My partner walks to the other end and faces another female employee who says no, but in response to my partner suggesting he'd been told to speak to the male staff, she says "oh, well you better go ask them then", and wandered off. At no point was he directed to a particular person or area, and he walked out of the store with his piping still in tact, and we have no interest in returning or supporting our local business anymore.

A lovely family friendly hardware store. I have never encountered an unpleasant employee. Always friendly and willing to help. A sense of magic hangs above in roofline (inside). A train on a track that loops around- helps bring a sense of calm and wonder to little ones who might feel a but overwhelmed otherwise. The building and stock has a fresh clean feel to it. Unlike some smaller hardware stores.

Hello, Since moving from Carlton Beach and now living in North Carolina USA, I have used Holt's for my brother and girlfriend's Birthdays and Christmas. I love how I can call and do this transaction over the phone and they can collect the gift card from the front desk. Love the friendly staff, great customer service. I always get off the phone with a smile on my dial. Love this store.

Since moving to Tassie I’ve been going to Holts out of convenience, and I’ve always found the staff really helpful. Yesterday I went in for another of my projects and Ben directed me to the best products for the job - even giving me suggestions that I hadn’t even thought about. Even better still, I was in and out within five minutes. I’ll keep coming back.

Holt's have everything hardware plus, a excellent range of products to get all your projects done around the home from a small do it yourself book shelf to a full renovation. You will also find a good range of plants and other garden needs for your veggie garden to flowers.

Absolutely spectacular service. The boys here go above and beyond to help out every single time. I always used to go to Bunnings but no more. This is my one stop shop now. Brilliant customer service and polite kind hearted staff. Can't praise them enough.

Order some stuff online. When I arrive some of the items I ordered were not available ( it did say this when I ordered). They let me refund them easily and switch for other options they had in stock. Process was all easy and staff were helpful.

I go in to Mitre10 Sorell quite often for various supplies. Nothing is ever too hard for the staff - they are kind, knowledgeable and friendly. Great range of products and haven’t let me down yet. Always a pleasure to go into this store.

I shop regularly at this hardware store, even though it is a locally owned mitre 10 store and not part of a chain the prices of products are very competitive. The store is very well set out and very light .

Great place to shop for a bargain or two, I picked up a wet&dry vacuum for just $70 and got a 8.5kg gas swap&go for just $27 at the same time, love it every thing I need in the one easy to find location.

Wanted sum laser light 1 fella said they get it in everyday to deliver other said 1 to 3 days to get it from cambridge to sorrel then another day to deliver it so I just left poor service
