*****UPDATE***** Please join my FB group (Exposing JD Byrider) before purchasing it will save you a lot of money!! We came to JD Byrider because we thought trusting Jessica would give our little family a 2nd chance. The only “good” thing that came out of that day was the kind people that work there but after that the kindness left because they knew once we pulled off the lot the vehicle we purchased would break down. For reference we are a family of 6 and there is no getting around not having a vehicle, a good working vehicle makes the whole world go around from getting to school, work, grocery stores, and really anything with a family of 6. A month before we went a company and gave them $1000 for a van that was absolutely terrible from the salesperson to the van breaking down on the freeway it was terrible and so when we met Jessica we relayed that information to her because we were hoping and praying JD Byrider would be different. We were very wrong, we made our payments on time and like I said they were very very kind to us and we were able to drive away with a 2011 Town & Country for our family. You can imagine our excitement only for it to not start on multiple occasions leaving our family in the heat at the grocery store, school, parks, etc..this summer I was upwards of 110 degrees it was absolutely miserable to hear our babies cry in the heat until the van decided to turn back on, not to mention the 7 year old tires that were put on the vehicle. We’ve had to constantly get air since we pulled off the lot, of course these concerns were brought up but on multiple occasions and all kindness from Byrider and Jessica’s team was lost and we were told “service team is on lunch” “service team will call back” “service team leave a message” only for our family to be stranded on the side of the freeway with a shredded tire and a non working vehicle for 4 hours in the heat. Again. To say I was livid is an understatement. Now I know what you’re saying why didn’t you look at the vehicle, didn’t you test drive it, and weren’t you skeptical. Of course, and JD Byrider is manipulative enough for their vehicles to work for just long enough to rope you into that contract because they know you are desperate. Sure I admit my family was desperate but it’s not about the vehicle anymore, I’m upset about the humanity and these peoples character. Because of them I will never ever trust another human being whether they are kind or not and it’s devastating. Quite honestly, I believe in Karma and I hope what happened to use happens to EVERY single one of them at JD Byrider. As of now our van was towed at our expense to their shop a week and a half ago we had to physically go into the dealership on Bandera Rd to get an update and guess what? It’s wrecked. There is the biggest dent in the front of the vehicle that was not there but again I digress the salesman ran away so fast because he knew they did that. After speaking with service they are just now “looking “ at it. We bought $700 new tires for the van that we’re in the vehicle at the time and now they are not taking any responsibility for the 7 year old tires that shredded on the freeway at 70 MPH and caused my wife and children to and spin out on the freeway, no instead they are charging US $63 to put the new ones we bought on. Also, I’m 100% sure it will an additional $50 to get the vehicle out after they have “fixed” it. I’m going to the news I’m going to social media for everyone individually and for the company itself because this has to stop. The Ybarra Family

I wouldn’t even give them a star. But I had to to submit this They’re all snakes. Including the manager Merry Peña. I took my car in 3 weeks ago and barely got it back. I took it in for an ignition coil made it clear cylinder 2 and to check my ac. They replaced the ac unit but for three weeks Dominic stated the tech was flushing and recharging it. Then they broke the filler neck off the radiator while removing everything to install the ac condenser, on several occasions all my parts were already in and when my parts had been in for a week and a half and then they broke a part then I was told everything was in again and again the tech was recharging my ac to check for any leaks? When I called to verify if it was ready Dominic stated that another part in my car had broke when I asked he stated that it was my radiator fan. He told me they were going to order one and call me the following day once it was installed . I called and was told that they were calling around to get a good price for me to pay because I was going to be responsible for it. Dominic stated that the fan was working when I brought it in. And it was working the entire three weeks with them. But gave out . While once again they were installing parts once again. I told him I was not going to pay for something that was working when I took it in I took it in for a coil and ac, he said let me talk to my manager. When I called back he said my vehicle was ready I asked oh y’all installed the fan? Dominic said no ma’am you refused to pay so you can come pick it up as is. I called numerous times to talk to merry Peña. I finally spoke to her and she used an analogy, “ if they were test driving it and a tire split in half they weren’t responsible.” I went to the dealership and was rushed ti sign and pay I told them I wanted to see the car first I went and opened the hood not one coil was changed out ac parts were new however I noticed a long red wired that isn’t even wrapped with heat protection wired to my battery circuit and radiator fan. And also zip tied to my front fender running across the entire front side. I was told that they could unhook the fan and I could take the vehicle as is but that if my engine overheated I was going to be responsible for my engine. There was nothing wrong with my car other than the coil and ac. I did address that the coil had not been changed out Dominic then stated that he didn’t know about a coil even though he is the one I spoke to numerous times. As I was waiting there were so many other customers calling for their vehicles and upset with the service dept. as well as another customer upset because her suv sounded horrible and had been without it for three weeks also. Merry would of course not agree or even bother to look at the situations after all she makes the final call to have items fixed for customers she won’t even fix a vehicle if there is a recall that’s why another customers car caught fire a few years ago and she blamed the tech that told her to fix it.

Got my car here on Sept 8th, started leaking oil by Oct 5th. Took it for an oil change at jiffy lube the place where byrider said I could take it. The mechanic there let me know the screw to release the oil was broken and would need to be replaced so I had to pay for that part. Took my car on the 9th of Oct telling them the check engine light was on and it was leaking oil. Took all day for them to come back and tell me they couldn’t find nothing wrong with my car but it was leaking oil visibly when I took it in but they didn’t see anything. Now fast forward another month on Nov 6th took my car back into their shop for the oil leak a broken gasket, and a whole bunch of other things. Finally got my car back after having to call them every day for an update on my car and guess what my check engine light came on as soon as I got to the next light up. So really what the heck were they doing with my car for the 5 days they kept telling me they were fixing it and doing “test” drives. I can tell you if they really did a test drive on it they would have seen the stability trak light come on, the oil still leaking, the pulling of the car when it idles at a light. Now they done pissed me off. Don’t go to these people. Don’t take there oh we can get you into a car. Don’t fall for the we can break up your down payment in to smaller payments. Just DONT run as far as you can. It’s about the same if not worse as Rent 2 Own HQ. If I could give this place a 0 star I would. To make it all right I would love for them to just tell me I can switch cars and they will move my payments over.

Edit 11/22/2023 It has been a whirlwind of trouble/ ups/ downs etc. After a lot of going back and fourth, Shannon from Service deserves a 5 star. She was there with us every step of the way and even made sure our vehicle was back to working shape. The vehicle was with them for 2 weeks and 6 days while it went under extensive service, test driven, taken to dealership etc. The vehicle is now safely back in our possession and will update should anything go wrong. Shannon was there every step of the way and stands out. Her excellent customer service is what is top notch and is highly recommended. Mary from finance also was able to forgive 1 payment since the vehicle was not in our possession. With us having to pay for rides, gas and rentals, this really helped us. Mary was understanding and made sure we had a smooth process. Edit 9/21/2023 Vehicle started to have problems to the point it shut off when driving across a busy intersection. Dashboard turned off and flashes and when I called service, very kind gentleman stated the next appointment was in October. I am taking the vehicle in tomorrow and hope things are good to go after speaking with Mary (called cnac and was told to speak with closing person Mary) to see what can be done. We only had this vehicle for a month for it to give out is unacceptable. (original) Friendly and fast service. Alex was very understanding and assisted us with what we needed. We didn't feel rushed and everything was explained from beginning to end. Would highly recommend this place to everyone.

My son financed a vehicle with them. After the worst experience with them. The constant threats from them. (They were so unsympathetic just cold and callous.) He finally made the decision to allow them to let the vehicle go. It’s been almost a month that my son hasn’t been in position of the vehicle. Today they decided to take almost $400 out of my personal bank accounts. When I called to speak with someone they told me (that even though they had position or the vehicle) they have every right to take the payment out of my bank account, (Only problem with that is I’m not a lean holder on the contract.)I explained to her that I never authorize any payment to be taken out of my account. She then proceeded to tell me that I was on the account as well. When I told her that she was wrong. She said she had proof if I wanted she could produce the evidence to me. I told her not only was she 100% wrong but it was illegal to show me anyone’s contract without their knowledge. She then walked herself back. She did continue to say that I had signed documents giving them permission to automatically withdraw funds from my accounts. At that point I was absolutely sure that she was lying because I never signed anything. I asked her since she was adamant about it I wanted proof. She then asks me if I was with my son the day he financed the vehicle. So now because I was there that’s me giving them the authority to hold me responsible for a vehicle that I’m not the lean holder. Buyer beware their wolves In sheep clothing!!

Just an Update from over a month ago. Since then had a broken belt, mud guard came flying off, roof molding on one side came completely off and a piece of the roof rack. Car is a MESS. No one from sales did anything. They say to call but they don't return your call. Now stuck with this overpriced vehicle they sold broken and refuse to fix. Thanks Byrider. Will be taking this up with the Better Bussiness Bureau and etc because this business is a scam. I am not going to continue chasing down these people to fix this because it's a waste of time. Will be happy once we are done with the car payments and done with this company. Worst mistake purchasing from them. Buyers beware and go somewhere else! They take advantage of those with poor credit and etc only to screw them over! Been getting the run around with our sliding door on our van. Brought the van in 3 times already and door still not working. Noticed this issue the day they delivered the car. Service team never knows anything.My wife already left a review that was completely ignored. She spoke to someone in Sales after the event today and we are hopeful this company will step up and fix the issue. I'm paying a lot for this vehicle and would like the problems resolved.

Changing my review..Well they helped me get into a car with $500,but,.1. They don't tell you they give you 1,000 or trying to get you a loan and checking my credit Karma I also have a 14,000 car loan I didn't know about and for them to give choices on cars is now wrong to me..2. They said They getting me a key for car and fixing my radio which radio was ordered supposedly and I haven't gotten neither one done..they have some good things but Giving choices after or before the loans they should change..I think we should be able to pick the car we actually want and be more up front with loan's you getting so they actually got a 14,000 car loan + there 1,000 car loan+ my $500 down my total is 24,000 on car that's crazy I could of gotten a new car instead from somewhere else but I screwed myself now hope they satisfy me by doing what mechanic should do and fix I've been waiting going on 3 months ooo plus Car has a recall they should of fixed before selling but now I'm screwed having to take it and after paperwork that's when I get told about that..once I get my car fixed and I'm satisfied I'll change review again

My name is shequetta. I rent a car from JB by rider.I been have issues with my van since the day I signed my lease.My van have cut off on me multiple time in the middle of rush hour traffic. I came back to texas for a visit to get my van inspected so I can leave back out of state. Well it’s shut off. I called for my vehicle to get tow over to by rider.I understand my vehicle broke down at the wrong time. I also understand that it’s other vehicles that was before mines. This MAN NAME SAM THAT WORK IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT.GOT A REAL NASTY ATTITUDE.I called multiple time on my phone which I have an out state number. He never pick up the phone. Been calling the Service Department since yesterday.Soon I call from a different number he pick up the phone getting very rude.I have had my favor share or this Service Department. My heat in my van haven’t work since I got the vehicle. I have to go back to a state with -10 to -20 degrees in the winter time. It just about RESPECT. I DID CALL BEING DISRESPECTFUL UNTIL HE GOT SMART ON THE PHONE.I would of have ZERO STARS IF I COULD

I am livid with this Volkswagen Tiguan that they sold me, the car has over heated 3 times already and today on 7/9/23 on a Sunday it's overheated for the 4th time, I have a paper trail here of all the dates I've tooken the vehicle back and forth to JD Byrider I'm not sure what the mechanics are doing to fix this car but I honestly think that they're not doing anything to fix it cause it is still doing the same thing. This is ridiculous either I get switch to another vehicle or I'm giving this car back to the lot and I want my money back. You shouldn't have to take a vehicle 5 times in a row I haven't even had the car a month yet and I've had so much trouble with it. I'm so over it already. Basically the car lot had sold me a lemon next time y'all need to check y'all's vehicles before y'all sell them to anybody. They sold me the car on 6/5/23. If I can give it a zero rating on JD byrider I would. The salesman told me twice he would get me into another vehicle if the problem continued.

This place Anit worth it they rip you off of your money me and My Wife purchase a vehicle from there and we will made are monthly payments to get stranded the car wasn’t worth it and now they’re saying that they won’t get service on our vehicle unless we make a payment monthly payment that’s not an issue we made Are payments the way there quick to collect a payment they never do service on there vehicles they burn you out of your money they want us to pay the full value of the vehicle which don’t make no sense and due to not make the payment cause I don’t think any should make a payment when your car is a lemon I belive this place should be close and all there employees suck There Unprofessional there’s a guy named Chris he’s just gonna say whatever you think is a good car for you they won’t go Raquel Carfax which you know just say whatever they have there and then later I’ll tell you gotta pay the full value of the car even though the car was a lemon

This place has cheated me so bad, and they were never willing to make it right....almost 8 thousand out of my own pocket, and I had the extended warranty....they don't care for their customers.....they will take advantage of you and won't help you after you sign the contract.....this is a horrible place with no morals or values for their customers I hate this place with a passion. I needed maintenance this week, got my car returned the same way I took It in....same issue....I wish the others having the same problems could collectively sue this place, we would win.....I have all the evidence and paperwork proving the neglect to my vehicle..... here is some below.....50 dollar deductible everytime am they really don't fix anything.....it's pathetic.....all the time my car has been to their shop all within 1 year......don't buy cars there...

When purchasing or financing, the people are very friendly. I would highly recommend removing all of your money before taking your vehicles in to the service department. Had a stash of quarters amongst other things in the center compartment. Sent the vehicle in for engine issues which means no need to go through the center compartment. There is nothing there that ties to the engine or any electronics. All major change gone and they even stole our dash cam. Not to mention all stuff from center compartment and glove box scattered throughout the vehicle. Not to mention Byrider themselves tried to upcharge on the deposit. They are theives. Steal what they can when they can. I'd recommend going through a proper professional dealership. Don't purchase through this place. It's not worth it nor the annoyance that comes with it.

Went to jdbyrider referred by a close friend. I was very pleased with my service. They kept me informed on when i received approval and i was down here within a hour. Daniel made the process easy and I'm glad i came here! Update: I came back for yet another car!! I'm almost done with my first car full payment. So now I got another car. When the other one is paid off, I will use it for either a ride share business or give it to my son! It also helped bring my credit up from 580 to 637!!! So although sometimes you get issues with the cars. They do offer limited warranty which I have used before as well. So all in all it's a descent place to get a vehicle. Just make sure to come in for warranty repairs or it could cost you in the long run. I'm happy with my second purchase as well.

Yeah sure they got me in a car within 2 hours. But the car also had a non function sensor and didn’t find out till a week later when my ac went out. They claim to do a diagnostic check when I took it due to it being new. Said fine but then had to bring my car back another week later (not even 2 payments in ) just for them to tell me it was the sensor. But they didn’t catch it the first time ? Took 10 days and had to pay outta pocket ! when I got it back still no Ac and the cars engine light still on and having issues. I had such high hopes but nope. Never recommending any one here. I hate to be a Karen but F that. I’ve should have known when I saw all the employees have CHACON cars rather then there own Byrider.

I honest rated this place 5 stars when I got the car cause sales person want to get google rated which was good experience at first. But not even year I started having problems with my car. Two month in my transmission went out . It took while for them to fix it. I was on bus and uber pregnant. But yet they still want make sure they had their payment. Now its brakes which I know they not going fix its not under warranty. Its fast getting car from here but expect to spending money on car that gonna give you problems. I still haven't got my license plates too lol we in july 2023. I got car September of last year.

Ray was very kind very helpful very courteous went above and beyond each time that I called to check on my vehicle I was just very disappointed with the charge and that’s that he didn’t charge me what he was supposed to for the labor it was supposed to be like $276 and they didn’t do anything to the car except change the oil doesn’t make sense yes they checked on the car they added the machine so machine to a diagnostic machine but they didn’t do nothing to the car they couldn’t find a problem with it why my battery is dying every 3 to 4 days but Ray is very very kind kudos to him because he was never rude !!!

I saw that Byrider reached out to me but after I helped my friend who unfortunately bought a car from Byrider take her car back to find out the problem with the Transmission for the second time the service department is inept, they again did not Repair the transmission. Of course the Payment department didn't let up on the phone calls telling her that if she made the payment they'd fix her car but the last time we complied they did NOT fix it. They ARE NOT a Reputable Car Dealership.!! I've been taking my friend to work for 5 weeks now because Byrider doesn't do their job. They should Not be in Business !!

Service department UNPROFESSIONAL my vehicle been in there for 3weeks giving me the run around cant even pick up the phone & when then finally answer no compassion or remorse like if it's a burden to do their job haven't even had the vehicle for a year already broke down twice saying appointment first like if I new my vehicle was going to break down then then the manager had the nerve to say I can take it to another shop first of all the vehicle don't even run bottom line check your vehicle or have a second opinion whe. Traded in my car and got a terrain. Loved that car but the car had lots of issues. I took it in three times and just kind of gave up on it getting fixed. I worked w Mary Pena she was very patient with me and never was unprofessional w me. And Yvette as well was very very patient w me never gave me a hard time. We ended up switching out my car and I got something else. Mary made sure the car I got was good enough to drive off the lot. Fingers crossed I got a good one this time I know they were tired of me complaining and showing up alot! ;)

They make you do a good review before getting in a vehicle. Theyre a scam. Sellong vehicles for 3-5x their actual value and the service department is always so backed up they cant get to your vehicle for a month. 10/10 go somewhere else. Do not get a vehicle from this place. Yall do not take feedback seriously your company is a joke your workers are unprofessional. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. Just bevause its easy to get a car from them doesnt mean they wont harrass you or the peoples numbers you give them.

Shannon has been amazing from the start. She has assisted us with everything from start to finish. She even gave her own personal information for us to keep in constant contact. Shannon assisted us and did not give up when we were thinking the vehicle was a total loss. I highly recommend you speak with her in the service department because she does get stuff done. I’ve had my vehicle with byrider for about 4 months, and after 4 months of having this vehicle my transmission goes out. My vehicle is still currently being fixed after almost about a month now and they still expect me to pay for a vehicle that isn’t in my possession. I’ve been trying to get an update on my vehicle, but the service department won’t answer the phone… it’s convenient how they are able to blow you up for your payment, but can’t pick up the phone to update their customers. If you can go anywhere else please do.

Not that I have to come and fight for my daughter but this Mom finally had enough. My daughter and her husband could've been seriously hurt today. Their drive shaft fell as they were driving in a major highway. Like what the flying f bomb. I stormed in there and told them so called customers to think about it. It's not worth getting a car from here. Please if you can get it from else where I do not recommend this place at all. Unless you are ready to die. This place needs zero stars not even a one star.

You overcharged me and sold me a lemon ! Took my car in for service and when I picked it up mechanics left a cover in the engine off, the car was smoking and still leaking oil and the brake system was faulty endangering my life! Brake and abs lights on @ not covered in warranty! RETURNING THE LEMON TO BYRIDER DEC.18TH,2033 WAS WORTH THE LOSS AND I REFUSE TO PAY ANOTHER PENNY ON YOUR LEMON ! SELL IT TO ANOTHER SUCKER! NEVER AGAIN This place has a license to sell LEMON CARS. We have taken our car in the the service department at least once a week since we bought it about a month ago. They say they fixed what was needed, but all the did way bypass the engine light. Took it another for them to put a new catalytic converter, only for it supposedly being a “ defective one “ they keep bypassing my engine and lawyer is going to have to be the next step.

My car was there for almost 2 months before I got it back! Once I got it they tried charging me almost $1,100 after it was only supposed to be my $50 deductible cause the vehicle is under warranty! Now I have my car, got it back yesterday and my check engine light came on and more things are wrong with it then when I took it there! Service department has horrible communication within employees! Ridiculous and so stressful!

My dad went in with little with no hope on getting a car today.But, he was so happy cause this wonderful man name Chris was able to make his day.He went beyond and above to help us stay in our quota and was able to put a low down payment. He was very patient with my dad and all the questions he had for him.I would definitely recommend him to anyone that needs something low and convenient this is the place to come.

They are a horrible company an will take your vehicle forcefully without notice. An when signing paperwork they enclose you in a small room an force you to write a good review an will stand over you until it is done. With other employee's standing outside the door to make sure you don't leave. Please no one buy a car from any byrider. I would had rather bought a car from a private seller.

One star only because I had too. Bought a car on Saturday, and told the salesperson about an issue. Jacob told me that the service department said it was oil residue and it would burn off soon. Come to find out there is a screw missing from the gasket and it is leaking oil. Call service to be told I have to wait three weeks to be seen. Worse service ever, stay away.

The service was nice but after I bought my vehicle and found out the alarm doesn’t work in the same day. I was told they only make sure the vehicles run. So now every time I open the door I have to pull the key out which sets the alarm off then jump in there and put the key back into the alarm and start the vehicle. SMDH

Shannon in the service department is AMAZING. The previous employees in the service department were not so great or helpful. Shannon & the other new lady in service are amazing and got my vehicle fixed quickly and helped in so many ways! These two ladies deserve a bonus! They go above and beyond for the customers.

Honestly wouldn’t recommend got a car from there next morning check light engine came on my car started shutting down on me the service take long to look at my car and took forever to give me update on it not even that they didn’t do oil change nor cleaned out the car right I had crumbed all under the seat

I was told to come in and sign a few papers and I would be done not true I had to go through the whole system as if I was new to the system. I was hit head on at a light and was told I can get a vehicle come in and sign never was told to bring in paperwork. They were really nice but no communication

They lie charged me something they put in a promissory to fix out of work on 7 different occasions for the same problem dropped vehicle off 7 different times kept vehicle a day two days 3 days and still not fixed still doing what it was doing since the day they tried to sell me the vehicle

They made buying the car easier then other places, but the fact they don't have a waiting area inside, you have to wait outside. They don't offer you anything to drink while your waiting. The bathrooms are for only staff. Changes need to be made
