After looking for months I finally found the perfect car with Carmax, however it was located in Florida. Luckily Carmax made shipping a breeze, and the car actually arrived days before the scheduled date. I went to the dealership and took a test drive and knew it was the car I wanted. Chris was very polite and professional and him and Dominik were the ones who walked me thru the process. I took the car on a 24 hour test drive and then brought it back the next day and told them I would be back the next day to buy it. They had the car ready cleaned and detailed upon my arrival with a big bow. I paid for the car upfront and i was in and out in around 40 minutes, it was a quick and painless process. I ended up buying the maxcare extended warranty. I wasn't planning to but Chris explained to me the benefits and the value of having maxcare. He wasn't pushy and I recommend him for your next car purchase. Overall the whole experience was very pleasant and made car buying look easy, i'm a satisfied customer driving my new Mustang!

I sold my car through Carmax. My husband and I had recently purchased a new vehicle and had to adjust inaccurate information on our Expedian account, otherwise, we would have just traded in the vehicle at the dealership. Carmax gave us a much better offer than the dealership (42% more to be exact) once corrections were made. Their team was extremely welcoming, helpful and truthfully took the reins on the car selling process which made it so easy as the seller. Since my vehicle was purchased from out of state originally, there were some problems with my title transfer and lien holder... but nothing the Business center couldn't handle. They requested minimal information from me and took care of everything! This experience was seamless and I would highly recommend to others to look into selling at Carmax before making the "easy" choice and just trading in at another dealership!

Everything was fine, with one major exception: The business office. The front-facing office is managed poorly. The manager said: We multitask. And I said: That's the problem! There was a very old woman (I am also an old woman) who was expected to keep waiting on people as she was handling paper work for a sale. It took hours. There are clear data showing that multitasking is inefficient, especially as one ages. (I am a cognitive scientist.) And did I ever experience that inefficiency. In addition, my name was spelled wrong on all the docs and the check. I caught the check and had it retyped, but they said the docs were correct. When I got home, I see that they also had the same error. I sure hope I can use the receipt at the tax office!

Outstanding service! Stopped in after good friends who have bought multiple vehicles from here recommended this CarMax. Ease of buying a nice 2nd vehicle (my grocery getter) was better than anticipated with our saleman Dayson Willis. We walked the lot, picked out a few that met our need (unfortunately 1st choice was taken) and made the purchase. Nice not spending a whole day on a lot doing paperwork and purchase. Our Ford Explorer did need some electrical work within a month after purchase and working with Sean Dunaway in service has been a pleasure. No hassles, no problems and a nice loaner while Explorer was in the shop. Sean definitely knows good customer service. This CarMax has earned our business!

They have gone above and beyond except one lady who had me redo my application and I lost the original offer and they never gave it back she stated I can revert back to original terms but that wasn't the case. Other wise my cars on the way from Cali and I couldn't be happier good job carmax. Update we got the car fastest car deal ever they're cars are exactly as they say our lexus was almost perfect we couldn't be happier. Someone give Vince a raise he gave me every update I needed answered all questions. The car had just arrived they didn't know where in the lot it was but he found it made sure they fixed a few details. Replaced windsheild and fixed minor curb rash.

I hate that we live in a time where I feel obligated to give kudos to a business that keeps its word. I got an online appraisal for a car I wanted to sell and actually got the exact amount I was promised online. When I called to make the appointment, I was told I should receive the amount quoted if the car was in the condition I listed online. She also told me the process could take up to two hours. I was in and out in a little under two hours with a check in hand for the exact amount I was quoted online. Very pleased with the experience and would recommend this service to others. BTW, I received $2600 more from CarMax than the dealer was offering.

I was in the market to buy a vehicle, and trade in my Rogue. I was given a low offer and thought I would see what Carmax would give me for it. I did the quote online, made the appointment, took my car in. Everyone I came into contact with was kind, helpful, and professional. Due to being a holiday weekend we decided to wait until Monday to get my payoff. I walked out with an offer letter. They followed up with me during the week, but due to having the offer letter I was able to use that as leverage during the car buying process. I would absolutely do that process again. The hospitality, professionalism and consideration of my time was exceptional.

As a loyal Carmax customer, I have certain expectations when it comes to service. Recently, I purchased a Jeep GC and took it in within 90 days to address a few issues that needed repair. There was a small mishap with my door panel and I was not happy. After a few conversations with leadership, I am happy to report they again exceeded my expectations. My experience buying a new car was very positive for the most part. Their process was very smooth, relatively fast, and well organized. I have two issues. First, having to pay up front to ship a car that I may or may not want to buy had some possible issues, but it turns out the car was great so the issue did not arise. My big problem was on trade-in of my old car. They made an offer based on complete information of the car's history, then dropped the price $2k using a flimsy excuse. I later sold the car to another dealer for $1.5k more than the highest offer from CarMax. So get other offers before you sell to them.

Applied online, reserved my vehicle and got approved. Showed up to my test drive appointment and everything from there was smooth and efficient. I had previously wasted many many hours, days at 3 other dealerships and had bad experiences. I definitely recommend CarMax for those with not so perfect credit as they have options. Colin my sales rep was wonderful explained all in detail and I decided to purchase the Maxcare plan for having that extra coverage at an affordable price on my vehicle. Tried to scam me out of $700 because of a “faulty” hood latch and cable. I was struggling to open my hood. Ended up paying over $100 to have my oil changed and the latch “lubed up”. Come to find once I access the engine myself that the pin for the cable fell through the latch and was able to put it back on without replacing any of the parts they told me I needed. Rock Auto was great for ordering parts but now I will be returning the parts since nothing was needed in the first place. Not just that but they cut a portion of my weather strip and cracked the car pins.

This is my "go to" place when I'm in the market for a used vehicle. To date I have purchased two cars and a truck and my son purchased his car from this location. Also, shortly two of my daughters plan to buy their cars here too. If you find haggling with sales reps at traditional dealerships exhausting, I strongly recommend visiting CarMax. Their pricing is fair (within market value), have a huge inventory, and there are no high pressure sales tactics. Finally, you won't find a dealership that will offer the trade in amount you'll get here.

I have to give CarMax 5 stars! I traded in my old car and bought a new car a little over 1 month ago. The trade-in appraisal was higher than Carvana and the KBB estimate, the new cars price was fantastic, the process was fast and easy, and the service center took care of a cosmetic issue I didn't notice until after my purchase for free! The sales reps were great. The rest of the buying process was terrible. The car was sold to me with a problem and when I notified Carmax about it, they told me their mechanics found nothing wrong with the car. They finally took it to the BMW dealership and it was diagnosed with what I said was wrong with it. The service advisor and service manager at Carmax were extremely rude to me.

The Honda CRV has been great but unfortunately after close examination I found a dent in the driver's side door and a tiny chip in the windshield that will likely eventually lead to having to have the windshield replaced. Outside of that, the car selling process, as well as the cash purchase process was very good. What was exceptional was my sales consultant, Ashlynne Priddell.
