Update: Have reported this to consumer affairs. Lots of back and forth and not much result. They are not taking responsibility for not listening to instructions and causing damage and doesn't seem to be investigating the potential that their movers are delaying jobs to charge more. If you are also experiencing issues and not getting much via their complaints process, please consider submitting your concerns. Have placed a complaint and waiting to see what happens. In a nutshell, the movers I got were SO SLOW. They didn't seem to know what they were doing and honestly I think I was stronger than them and I am not strong. They damaged the door frame when trying to get my couch out. Insisted it required disassembly even though I managed to get it in with another women as a whole? Whatever... they took forever to figure out how to take it apart, and when it got to the new place, they assembled it wrong, didn't say anything and damaged some of parts.... it's supposed to be a fold out bed but it won't open fully anymore and heard something rip... wish me luck in fixing it. Washing machine removal... wow. I was moving other things and left them to unplug the unit and get it on the trolley. They took the thing, loaded it up and that was the last item. We were already at running really late so off we went to the new place. I shouldn't have trusted those guys... they failed to tell me the tap wouldn't stop leaking and if my partner hadn't came over 15mins later to pick up the cat that was locked in the spare room and away from all the moving... hate to think what else could've happened. We turned off the mains to stop the leak and I think they would've noticed right after they unplugged the machine. My landlord had a look and agreed that they would've seem that it wasn't turning off and should've said something. We now have potential damage to the property that the agent is probably going to take from my bond and God knows if I'll get anything from CBD. Watch this space. Sigh... 5hrs of headache. A very expensive headache. Not sponsored but if you are reading this and looking for movers, look up Queer Moves if you're in Melbourne. I moved with them previously and only got CBD involved cause the other company were fully booked around the time required. Again, look up Queer Moves and forget CBD.

Should have received zero stars! This was the absolutely WORST moving company I’ve ever entailed. Ever. When they were booked, they were given every detail about items, locations and distance. They were told it would be two or three short trips between the houses. They were meant to help us up to 6 hours. When they arrived (late), they walked in, took a look around and refused to lift or move any of our belongings. This company are scammers who refused to help us unless we spent money on getting a second truck and 4 movers instead of 2. They didn’t look like they’ve ever lifted a piece of furniture in their life. They also took photos of all our hard rubbish and sent it back to the company implying through lies that we wanted that moved so that the company would tell them they didn’t need to complete the job unless we paid more AFTER they were clearly told that it was actually a small amount of furniture we were taking and the other stuff was not to be touched. They inherently refused to speak to me on the phone when my husband was with them and I was waiting to receive the furniture they never brought at the new place too after I found out they were whinging about what to bring. It gets worse…. after zero clue about what was happening, all of a sudden they literally turned their truck around after sitting in it doing nothing for half an hour, and drove away in their truck leaving us without any inclination they were going to do this. Lots of time on hold trying to figure out whether they were coming back to do what they were paid to do. THEY NEVER RETURNED OR CALLED! When I called the company to complain and cancel the booking, they could not have cared less about how insane this experience was and how unprofessional it was. We dismantled furniture and removed all drawers and so all they needed to bring were shells of the furniture and they still wouldn’t touch it. Very odd, lazy and unprofessional behaviour. By the way, my husband and I ended up having to hire a moving truck on the day with melting fridge items due to having to wait for movers who absconded from our property and do it ourselves and everything fit in two loads! We are still in disbelief at this experience. Please beware of this scammer company and think twice or three times before you hire them.

Will not use and do not recommend. Booked 2 trucks , 4 men, only 1 truck and 2 men turned up. I even Upgraded to this service due to loads after packing. and upgraded my storage unit 2 sizes to fit a large 4 bedroom house, even though i was coming out of a 4 bedroom town house. Was moving into storage unit and asked multiple times for Men to Pack tight and pack same size boxes on each other and to the roof, They did not do this, packed small boxes on top of large boxes leaving so much space in the unit, and still had room for 1-2 rows of boxes in over half the unit not utilized to the roof. They did not pack furniture correctly to utilize space, therefore my stuff did not fit, and i had to rent another unit at the last minute costing me an extra $383 now per month ontop of the $560 per month i am already paying.. and now am going to have to move it all out and re pack it correctly to close down second unit. The 2 men were really slow in moving, Started at 730am and was advised they would finish just after midday, 2 loads were done by 11am, however they were so slow they took until 5pm so cost me double the amount. Then quoted for stairs $35 in the booking then on the day they charged me an extra $70. Even though we had moved over 1/2 the furniture and boxes from downstairs ourselves, prior to their arrival. I even provided them drinks and lunch at my own cost and was charged for their break. Overall Bad experience. I have moved 28 times both local and interstate and this was the worst company and worst experience i have dealt with. Do not recommend their cleaning company either. To make it worse, when i have claimed for over charged, they have sent a fraudulent invoice overstating the bill. I do not recommend this company at all And yes the investigate your claims, only by sending emails every few days, refering to their T&C's and claiming they are fit for purpose which they are not.

I hired CBD Movers for a move on July 25, 2023. #Docklands Unfortunately, my experience was shockingly disappointing. My furniture, which was almost brand new, suffered significant damage during the move. It ended up with scratches, dents, and numerous broken parts. Just some of the current issues - 1 - Kitchen Island dining table - dented, chipped on all corners & black scrape mark in the middle 2 - Lowline TV Unit (upside down and slid into bottom of truck). Broken slider drawer snapped bracket - drawer doesn’t work anymore. 3 - Bedroom Tall Boy - broken drawer snapped bracket. Won’t slide at all. 4 - Fridge Dent - size of a 50c coin. The truck they used was extremely dirty, inside and out which was concerning as everything were to be handled in it. The truck they provided was also too small, so I had to spend extra money to rent a van to fit the rest of my things. The movers themselves were late and not very professional. They arrived after the time we had agreed upon, which caused a problem because I had reserved the building's elevator for specific hours. All in all, the entire experience fell short of my expectations. I can't recommend using CBD Movers based on my experience, and I won't be recommending them to others either. What adds to my frustration is that despite clear evidence in the form of numerous emails, photos and videos, their response was to offer only $150 return to cover all the damages, which I consider to be quite unfair and insulting. Unfortunately, some of the items that were damaged can't be repaired; they will need to be replaced entirely. I'm unable to accept their inadequate compensation offer. After x14 Emails, Consumer Affairs Victoria is now involved for full damage costs and or replacement with VCAT next. (Apparently already under investigation). Judging by these recent reviews, it’s a no.

I highly DO NOT recommend. Many reviews here may be fake. DO NOT RECOMMEND The company is run by Indians who are very dodgy and likes to rip you off for more money. I understand they are the cheapest so if you must go cheapest, please have consumer affairs number ready to protect yourself If you go here, make sure you have consumer affairs number ! Don't let them ask for more money ! 1. They wanted to charge me for walking from front door to the nature strip where the truck is parked. It is barely 30 steps. I am already paying by the hour. It takes an extra 30 seconds to take the extra steps. They wanted to charge additional $80 for those steps... then what is the hourly payment for ?! 2. They wanted me to pay before completing the job. They estimated additional "time" to finish the job and wanted me to pay upfront before finishing. I said "what if it doesn't take that long". The Indian guy said "it's the company's policy. They want you to pay first." I asked "are you going to refund me if it doesn't take as long". He said "yes yes" but they have no refund system. They do not refund. I didn't pay. But they pushed really hard on it in a bullying manner 3. They send you the terms and conditions of cancellation which is 24 hrs notice. When you call up to cancel, they say that it is 7 days notice. Completely a lie from.the terms and conditions sent. I told them to refer to the specific clause in the document which says 24 hrs. They said "no that's not right and insist on 7 days". It's black and white. Don't send out false information or don't have consultants lie to customers to keep business. Throughout this experience and the drastic 5 hrs with them ARGUING about the additional 30 steps to the car, I was ready to call consumer affairs.

The worst customer service experience I have had with any company in my life. I don’t usually bother to write negative reviews, but I feel I will be doing the community a service if at least one person avoids this shambles of an organisation. Truck booked for 10am-2pm arrival. First call received was at 1.15pm nonchalantly informing us that the truck was now coming at 2pm-6pm. No explanation. The person on the phone couldn’t provide any useful information other than following her prescribed script and ultimately when pressed conceded she actually had no idea where the truck was. Later in the afternoon, we were informed that our 6 tonne that was booked was for some reason now unavailable and if we would accept a 4 tonne truck. Well what choice did we have after having already wasted the entire day. As a gesture of ‘goodwill’ I was informed I would be given a deal of discounting the call-out fee to $60 — which turns out to be their standard fee for the smaller truck anyway. I was informed that if another trip was required, there would be no fee, however, I was later on told that this was not possible. Long story short, truck finally shows up at 5.30pm. Several items intended for the move unable to be put on the truck, moving doesn’t get completed until 7.45pm. My very young children are unable to get to sleep until hours past their bedtime because I am assembling their beds long into the night and I am now going to have to take more time off work in order to get things completed. Pathetic and appalling. Never again.

This has to be the worst moving company we have ever had. They may try and respond to this review and lie about how they tried to resolve the issues but please they will only be trying to cover their bad business policy. First of all the rate at which the movers packed, the fact they wanted to avoid steps which we paid extra for by using the second story balcony yo pass fragile furniture down from. Then no wrapping of the mattress when I specifically asked that they be wrapped, again we pay for this as it is timed! Then my husband and daughter moving everything to speed things along, then a 50 minute wait as a toll road was taken when the trip from our homes are 11 minutes away! To a truck that did not fit our furniture so they said they will go a second trip to then saying they will give a $60 discount after they try and charge us 5 hours for a 3.5 let's round it to a 4 hour job!!! Then refusal to take my furniture out of the truck until I pay $660 for a $510 job! Don't use them! Don't use them! Don't use them! The drivers are not to blame the company only gives them less than half of what they charge us and do not support them or us. Do not use them! Do not use them! Seriously save yourself the hassle and grab someone else at$120 an hour, $60 call out, $60 for stairs etc etc. Awful. Zero stars if I could.

Wow! A perfect example of why outsourced sub sub sub contracting is a terrible business practice. The two guys who arrived were terrifyingly incompetent and incredibly slow. A full list of what they screwed up would take too long, but here are some highlights: We watched in disbelief as one guy sat in the truck texting while the other carried boxes one at a time slowly to the truck. I decided to lead by example and grabbed my trolley and started ferrying multiples at a time. When I suggested he do the same, he asked to borrow my trolley! I then watched him try to push it up some steps! They tried to load a very large, heavy shelf unit into the back of the van and (no surprise) dropped it and one guy fell out of the back of the truck. We pointed out that since they had a hydraulic tailgate, perhaps they'd like to use it. The day continued in this vein and took twice as long as it should. Then they tried to insist on cash payment despite being assured they would have EFTPOS facilities and funnily enough I didn't happen to have $1000 on me. They then refused to let me talk to the office. We eventually convinced them that it was bank transfer or nothing. Zero training and no accountability from the business. A classic example of the neo-liberal gig economy at work. Avoid these people like the plague

The movers displayed either a lack of experience or intentionally delayed the moving process to increase their fees. Despite having approximately 10 people and all the necessary moving equipment provided at the truck, it took them 2 hours to stack it. All the people who drove from Hoppers Crossing to Narre Warren reached the destination in 1Hr 15min to 1Hr 30min. Our attempts to contact the company and locate the driver were met with unsatisfactory responses. Truck only arrived after 3 hours. There was no reasonable explanation neither from the driver nor company. We had to help in unloading all the items from the truck, which took approximately 1 hour. However, the company has issued an invoice for 6.5 hrs @$170/Hr. When I disputed the price, the matter was referred to their office directly. The manager has threatened us by stating that the matter would be forwarded to the debt collection department if payment not made immediately. He doesn’t have no courtesy to talk to their own team members and provide a solution. We have reluctantly paid the invoice of $1,105 as me and our 4 kids were in such a traumatic situation!

EDIT: aside from the below issues the move was great. Everything protected and moved safely & securely. Support team have now resolved my issues. The move was okay, however a couple of issues arose and the customer support team was largely unhelpful in resolving my issues - deflecting. A piece of my bed was missing on arrival, no assistance to help locate it, just said it was my fault for not checking every single item that I own before paying and letting the movers go. A bigger issue was that the movers left my old house 15 minutes before myself, and arrived at the new house 25 minutes AFTER me. I noticed there were fast food bags in the cabin which weren’t there when loading up the truck. When I flagged that I had been over charged due to a lunch break they said it takes extra time to drive in a truck etc etc and sent a fake screenshot of the map with lots of extra little stops to make a different route, to show it takes *exactly* 40 minutes extra to arrive. Very unhappy as I’ve been charged an extra 30 minutes for someone’s lunch break and no accountability for lost items. Wouldn’t recommend, use at your own risk.

AVOID! I have moved three time in the last 4 years and many times prior to that (with other moving companies). My experience with CBD Movers was by far the worst. The two movers were ridiculously slow, carrying one item at a time, wandering around with no sense of urgency, disappearing and having to be told several times where to put things. It took over 3 hours to load a two bedroom apartment onto the truck. Plus they charged a 'walking fee' of $100 even though they were parked right out the front. At the drop off my partner and I had to help move things (even with sore backs) as it was painful watching how slow the movers worked. Normal people could do a better/faster job than these 'professionals', but then of course they want it to take longer and charge more. I witnessed boxes marked 'fragile' stacked under heavier boxes and no care shown towards them. To top it all off, our expensive chest of drawers has a big chunk chipped out at the top. Would never book CBD Movers again and I don't recommend. Prices may seem cheaper but it's so slow it ends up costing more than better moving companies.

The removalists arrived on time and were very efficient. It went downhill from there when it came to paying. I was advised that they would have a square box to pay by card. The guys only had their phones. We tried to pay using our phone but the card was not accepted at the portal supplied. Apparently this happens all the time. I said that I would pay using BPAY which is how I paid the deposit but it had to be on our computer at home. This caused a problem. Furthermore the price changed as the tip fee was higher than quoted. We were happy with the additional tip fee as a receipt was provided by the guys who did the move. I then spent an hour on the phone with the office trying to get an updated BPAY sorted. No one seemed to know what to do and kept passing me on to someone else before I was finally sent an updated BPAY invoice. During all of this I kept getting phone calls asking for reviews. When i explained what had happened to me the girl hung up on me. Well this is my review. We won't be using this company again

Hired cbd movers from chch. They sent a email quote so have written proof booking was confirmed 10am til 2pm when it was meant to be 10am til 1pm. Tried telling my partner it was 11am til 2pm when he called. They were paid 3 weeks in advance for the 3 hours. They showed up at 11.15am which cause alot of stress for me. 11.10am they called an tried changing the price on what they had quoted. For experienced movers it took 2 guys 30 mintues to get the 3 seater couch out of my house. Took me an a friend 15 mintues. They did not seem interested at all. Took 1 load in 2 hours leaving me with alot still at my house to work out how to move as the reason i hired help as I have carpal tunnel in both hands an don't have a tow bar or would of done it myself. 2 hours work an paid for 3 so they better refund 1 hours money. Would not recommend them. Not happy at all. Emailed you guys but don't expect to hear back but my partner should not of had to call cos he knew I was stressing out. Cheap I now understand why

EDIT: To your response: No, this is not a fake review if that is what you are implying: the name used here is a part of my real name, no fakes here and the job number was 68 01 45 9; I now want you to refund the deposit money I paid, you haven't earned it and I haven't received anything so repay my money immediately............ I gave them 5 stars 2 years ago which I have now deleted; they really screwed me over today & I'm obviously not moving anywhere, thanks for absolutely nothing. I WILL BE CHASING MY $80 DEPOSIT BY THE WAY. I have to stay where I am for a weekend and will be moving on Monday with a professional not these cowboys. Go elsewhere if you need reliability. Get better phone connections as well while you are at it, its nothing but static and BAD English. This is the only 1 star I've given anyone, that is how bad they are and how bad they have stuffed up everything for me. They should be compensating for lost earnings too as I now need an extra day off from work. AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Movers took over 5 minutes after parking to open the door and start working, however they charged from minute 0, then one of the movers was on the mobile for at least 15 or 20 minutes of the time they were supposed to be working. Once the truck was full and closed, it took them another 5 minutes to start it, and then there were zones of the way where they were driving at 20 km/h. then when they arrived to the destination, they again took almost 10 minutes after having parked to start working and again one of the workers was on the phone while my wife, another helper I got, the other worker and I were moving the stuff. Once the truck was empty and the service over, they tried to charge an extra 30 minutes, when the service was finished 2 minutes before the hour (so no additional 30 minutes were due). They broke a pot and didn't say anything, we noticed it after they had left. At least they brought everything from point A to point B, but very unprofessional.

Disregard any of the five star reviews, these guys were easily the worst experience I have ever had with movers. They were unprofessional, rude and slow (on purpose). After describing in detail all the items in a small two bedroom unit, they send a tiny truck with two guys that were absolutely clueless. They spent the first hour walking through the house wondering how they were going to move the furniture. I had to personally help direct them otherwise I was afraid they were not going to start at all. I think hiring two random guys off the street would have had a better outcome. These guys insisted this small two bedroom unit required two trips (despite plenty of space in their already tiny truck). They also took frequent breaks in their truck to "tie things up" which took 20 minutes per item. A job that should have only taken 3-4 hours max, took 6 hours due to incompetence and basically scamming. I am sure all the five star reviews are fake.

3 star as overall reasonable experience for the price we paid. Move date 26/10/23. Positives - friendly - quick - cheap price - easy to book - easy communication on day - all our stuff is safe - arrived at ~1:30 for a 10am-2pm time slot booking Negatives - charged us $80 extra on the quote due to "heavy item" (medium fridge), but it was mentioned at time of obtaining quote - didn't attempt to move the bedframe into the bedroom as it was "too big". didnt measure it though. ended up being possible to do without disassembling and 5 of us did it ourselves later that day. - disassembling+reassembling was also requested when I obtained a quote, but they didnt help reassemble couch. lucky I had helpers later, but if I was alone would have been impossible - hole in bedframe (thankfully somewhere not visible outwardly). leg lost from TV table. Would consider booking again for small move with furniture I'm not too attached to.

These guys are the biggest tools. Unprofessional and have clearly learned from their brothers who call up scamming people. They broke my washing machine and left black marks all over my couch. I sent proof. They are refusing to pay for it to be fixed and have blamed me. It was their fault. Both items are less than a year old. The couch months old. They can’t speak English or out a sentence together that you cannot read/understand. They turned up at 10am and left. After calling them atleast 25 times and being hung up on or promised they would have a manager call me back (never did) they offered me $20 credit when it cost $700. They then sent some guys at 6pm and we moved in the dark hence why I have marks on the couch and a broken washing machine plug. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I’ll be taking them to vCat. They did this to me while I was escaping DV. No apology now will ever suffice. Sick, money hungry pigs.

Was quoted $65 per 1/2H with no hidden costs telephonically, after requesting a quote to move a single leather chair 11km. Upon dropoff I was requested to make a further payment of $130 even though from pickup to dropoff was 30 minutes. After talking to customer service I was told that a callout fee of $65 is charged (even though no mention was made by the agent I spoke to telephonically after specifically asking abouy any hidden costs). I was also informed that clients are only billed per 1/2H after the first hour and as a result I had to apparently fork up another $130 after paying the $65 deposit having being sold a different story. Y their sales agent ($65 callout plus $130 per hour). They expected me to pay $190 to move a single chair 11km. Unless you're moving an entire houses' furniture I wouldnt use this company, even then I would find an alternative simply based on their dodgy business practices.

I recently had a moving experience with CBD Movers that left me quite disappointed. While the initial booking process went smoothly, the actual moving day was a different story. Edit: The down side was the multiple phone calls with the customer service rep sending me multiple different links to write a review on CBD Mover Melbourne, CBD Movers Perth, CBD movers Canberra etc even though I had originally posted a 5 start review without 1 day. Calling every day and sent multiple links which bring me to this page. Made me feel very uncomfortable about the security of multiple links when this review already existed.Have re-rated to 3 stars. Original review; I hired a 4.5T truck and two movers. Really great service, plenty blankets and straps, efficient packing in the truck. They were so careful with my furniture and also very careful to not mark walls while moving everything. Really good value also, I found it a v reasonable price. V friendly, work orientated and professional. They also arrived in the designated window provided to me. Recommend and will use again. Oct 2023

The worst moving experience. They cancelled on the day, having waited the whole day and not being able to do much as it was a 2pm slot , we were forced to accept the 7am slot the next day. The inconvenience and financial loss they caused all parties relying on their delivery became a financial loss to me & the plans made and booked with other services had to be cancelled and that incurred cost too. The worst part is the customer service team were talking to me as if I changed the booking time and tried to lie abt it. In addition they also charged me extra from what was advertised online , tried to charge extra for items they said had no extra charge for etc. Besides having the stress of moving and everything else having to fight for my rights over the phone was the last thing I wanted to do

Rude, rude, rude.They are crocks. Stay away from this company. When you first call them they have a well spoken women speck English and once you book them and leave a deposit they have non English speaking people answer the phone although they think they can speak English. They are in your face until you pay. They wouldn’t unload the truck completely until we paid in full and the second truck had even arrived at our new home with our belongings. They remained in their truck at the front of our house until we paid. We were forced to get a second truck as they only sent us a small one after telling them what we had. They stressed us out soooooo much on the day. Not to mention they need to take more shower due to the bad BO. Badly hell. What has happened to our country

Extremely unprofessional and slow. I was angry and disappointed as they sent two staff, one with injured bandaged hand, who was constantly over the phone, so basically the other person had to do most of the moving by himself. They overcharged me for slow and unfinished job. They left some boxes full of heavy items in the garage, broke some items and couldn't take the bed upstairs so I had to organize with other professional people to finish the job. They were also dishonest about the whole scenario while I tried to communicate with their customer service. They did not even apologized for the extremely poor and unprofessional provided service. I was about to legally take action, however changed my mind. Extremely bad service. Never recommend.

If you are looking for a moving company DONT USE CBD MOVERS . I repeat don't use them unless you want an unprofessional moving company who will have you waiting 4 hours. Time frame given for their arrival was from 10- 2 and they arrived 2.05 despite my repeatedly telling them the lift was booked until 3. They barely moved any of my furniture within the two hours I had - the building manager was gracious to extend 1 hour- and do you know the worst? The move was in the same building. I moved more than they did while I waited for them to come. I can't stress it enough DO NOT USE THEM. I now have to book another company paying top amount for last minute job to complete my move. Stay away from cbd movers if you want a stress free move

Not worth a 1-star review. This company is dubious and should be shut down. Damage to property: The movers were 2 and I had a one bedroom apartment. I was also moving across the street. It took them 6h to complete the move. They charged me $1,030. They damaged the entrance door to my new property and the movers said it was me who caused the damage. The most horrible experience I ever had. Additional, one of the movers was staring at me the all day and me feel extremely uncomfortable. CBD movers has replied to my review saying that they have handled my case. They have answered me that the movers didn’t caused the damage and that it was me. The damage happened in front of my eyes and they are now lying to save their terrible image

We had an exceptional experience with CBD Movers. They were prompt to contact us, when we made an online enquiry. They were clear with pricing, prior to scheduling a date and time. We were able to schedule them in within a few days - on the day we wanted. They arrived when they said they would. The staff were careful with each and every item we required moving - nothing was damaged along the way. They were efficient and friendly. Two trips were required but that was expected because we ended up adding further big items with glass that were risky to move all in one go - it was probably a total of just over 5hrs all up, which we were totally fine with. We would definitely use them again and would recommend them to others.

Professional.... NO! Rip off.... YES! Do not use them. Worst movers ever. Do not hire them. Totally unprofessional and got no idea what they are doing. Nothing was strapped down. Things weren't even stacked on straight. One man pushing a trolley with a cabinet and the other walking empty handed beside him talking. Alot of the time they were just walking up and down empty handed, talking and laughing I paid $900 for a 6 tonne truck for 5hrs work and they only managed to fit half of what was in my garage. They're excuse for stacking it this way was "don't worry, it's only a 10 minute drive, we can make multiple trips" They took 4hrs to load up the truck and 1hr to unload, there's no way I'm letting them go another round.

Moved house recently and furniture was damaged. Witnessed one of the movers dropping boxes labelled "fragile" and dragging furniture across the floor of the truck which caused significant damage. Also witnessed furniture being dropped off a trolley. We went through the complaints process with the company which was a farce. Instructions and questions on the complaints form were very hard to understand due to poor English. In the end we were told the furniture was damaged before it was moved and we should have wrapped the furniture prior to moving (read their terms and conditions carefully before using this company). Basically they will not take any responsibility for damage to your items. Stay away from this company.

Yesterday 2 young Gentkemen came to pick up my belongings from a 10 yr relationship break up . It was such an overwhelming day for me . However those young men . Worked so well and were so polite . They were outstanding in everything they did . I will never forget their kindness towards me . The way they worked as a team . Such great employees . They were from Punjabi. NEVER AGAIN! Absolutely shocking movers. Don’t use this company if you have anything of any value. I had a very simple task of loading a Taxi box, they did such a poor job that the taxi box broke and I couldn’t close the door. I had to unload and reload it all by myself. Which was extremely difficult with an injured shoulder. When I called to ask for assistance, they flat out refused any wrong doing. Refused to help me whatsoever. Their customer service department is so ignorant they don’t even understand what the issue was. I didn’t want money back, I just wanted help to fix the situation. Never again will I use such an unprofessional company like this.

Worst moving experience. They were so unbelievably slow, I had to help them majority of the time and they still took over 5 hours for a 1 bedroom apartment. Absolutely ridiculous. They damaged furniture, the fridge and washing machine and have not responded to my complaints. The company is completely unprofessional, from the office to the movers and would NEVER use them again. They charged me so much money only to waste my time and damage my property. Absolute joke. All the 5 star reviews are clearly fake. *after trying to resolve the issue about my damage goods they have lied about the move and tried to charge me for their deplorable service.

Disappointing experience with the movers charging us for more than the hours worked due to the removalists forgetting a fridge which they left behind at my old property and had to do two trips. The company claimed that there 'was not enough space in the truck' (see photo of the half filled truck) to bring it, but the removalists themselves admitted they left it and forgot to load the truck with the fridge. What was supposed to be a simple (two bedroom apartment move) in November 2023 of 3 hours turned into over 7 hours. They also tried to charge me for the full hours when it wasn't our fault that they forgot the fridge. Not recommended.

I was in a tough situation as my previous mover's backed out last minute. Being a Saturday it was tough to receive a quote from other vendors in Geelong in short notice. Saw their number in internet and ring CBD movers. Their customer care gave a good relief and immediately arranged a moving service within 2 hours. Guys were excellent professionals in moving. They were carefully moving the furniture through the stair case as there were no lifts in the apartment. There were no scratches or damages to the furniture and home. Amazed with their service. Happy to recommend them to anyone who seeks a professional and reliable service.

Do not use this company. I gave them a list of what was needed to be moved and they arrived with a tiny truck, then blamed me for not choosing the right size truck. Am I an expert on what truck they should use ? A waste of an entire day of which they kept moving the pickup time back till it was almost evening. I have never had a move not eventuate before. They made a mistake on our pickup address twice and then refused to compensate us to then book for the next day. I cancelled the next day and went with someone else. No offer of compensation, will never use again.

Slowest movers i have ever seen, they just wanted to drag the job to make more money out of it. A normal person would be able to move stuff faster than these professionals. Also according to the movers they are just contractors and the admin team who looks after initial quotes (overseas country) and blamed them for not quoting with accurate time for the job. Turned up on wrong location as well which wasted another 10 -20 mins. Since i was unhappy about the whole move thing, they just kept my TV in the truck until i make the final payment. Stay away from these guys.

Excellent Service. The 2 gentleman that moved my furniture deserve more than 5 stars. They were very punctual, courteous and acted very professionally. They took extra care with my furniture, loaded iit all nto their truck very efficiently, moved it to my new premises and set up in the designated rooms, in record time, and all in good condition. Not only was it gold star service but I don't think you'd find a removalist as cost effective as CBD movers.. I was astonished as to how cheap the service was. I don't hesitate to recommend them if you need anything moved.

CBD has a policy of not using toll roads, which resulted in additional moving duration - both in terms of hourly rate of travel time and total hourly cost. Estimated that their failure to pay ~$10 for Toll fees cost me around $135. After complaints, I was offered a $50 voucher for next move - which reflects their lack of self-awareness. Having moved multiple times in the last 20 years, I would not recommend based on their policy and response to the complaint. Having said that, the guys that did the actual moving were professional, hard working and courteous.

CBD movers are unprofessional. Two movers tried to rip me off and refused to allow me to speak to their supervisor. They loaded bags full of cushions first then when I said you must get the loung suite on this trip because you’re too slow and I want the Linge suite moved this morning said there’s was no room. They were trying to charge me around a thousand dollars to move a lounge room, a fridge and a small kitchen cabinet. Move slowly and are ruder than hell. My advice get a quote these people charge by the hour and move slowly so they can charge a packet.

Scammers! I booked a move with CBD Movers booking ID 6779137 and then they recommended their cleaners to me, 365cleaners. I agreed to use the cleaners. I informed this company that I had a balcony on the phone, and all that was captured. But because I was not around and my friend attended to them, they lied to my friend that balcony was not included in my instruction to them, so my friend paid them extra. I contacted them to try to get them to refund me and they've been telling me that they are investigating. I will not be using them again.

Bobby and Sandeep arrived on time after some great communication, two confirmation calls in the days leading up to our move. They were professional and paid careful attention to our possessions. They worked methodically through the work without rushing. No damage everything arrived intact and we couldn’t be more satisfied. The estimate was spot on and the price was competitive. Today we moved a 3 bedroom house in under 4 hours. Very impressive work by the whole CBD team. Recommended based on our day working with Bobby and Sandeep

Absolute worst moving experience. After itemising all the contents of my large 2 bedroom house on the phone to them, they sent the smallest truck in the world and two men who looked like they’d never moved anything before. They didn’t know how to load the truck either and my boxes were upside down and on the side. They ended up having to do two trips which I am sure they planned to do as I was paying half hourly. What could have been done in three hours took EIGHT hours. Honestly never again. These 5 star reviews must be fake.

I would never use these guys again. They are very slow, they beg you to write a good review before they have finished taking your things off the truck and also pay for it before they finish unloading. I had to send CCTV footage of the guys getting to the storage yard late because they wouldn't believe me that they had overcharged me. Many emails and the CCTV footage later I received a refund. So if your thinking of going with these people please DONT. unless they change there ethics stay well away from these guys.

The best moving experience I have had by far! So quick and easy to get a quote and fairly priced too! Sivi arrived right on time in the morning with another worker, they are some of the hardest workers I have seen! Did not seem to take a break, didn’t waste a second of time, they knew exactly how to pack my stuff and worked like clock work so efficiently, and carefully with each and every item! They went above and beyond I cannot recommend enough so thank you again CBD Movers for making my move so easy!

This removals company proved to be highly disappointing. Despite booking a delivery four days ahead and scheduling it between 7-9 am on a Saturday, they arrived a staggering 5 hours and 25 minutes late at 2:25 pm. To add to the frustration, they charged me for an extra 20 meters, even though they only transported a single item. When I requested compensation, they callously refused. I am adamant about never utilizing their services again, even if they happen to be the sole option available.

Extremely disappointed from the start to finish. Firstly the delivery was cancelled. Secondly the delivery did not show. Thirdly the items arrived only to have the delivery men damaged a wall. On multiple phone calls and emails the company did not compensate nor fix the damage. They only demanded the delivery fee. Very hard to deal with….. very poor communication skills. I paid the fee to never deal with this unprofessional and irresponsible business.

UPDATE: Half hour refund was sent through. Very quick resolution however remarks below still remain the same Seemed very cheap and communicative prior to moving day. They were taking one pole at a time. I had to remove items that were supposed to go in the moving truck to eliminate time however they still managed to charge me a whopping $480. I’m not a mover myself but I could have done the job way quicker. Just think about it before booking.

Yes, the Removalists gave us a call half an hour before starting the work. This time with moving has been better and nothing appeared broken or scratched so that's great! The delivery men were courteous and responsive in lifting the items out and carrying them into the new place. Delivery took longer than anticipated but the settee was awkward to lift and manoeuvre. The boxes were delivered and placed into set places so easy to unpack.

I enlisted CBD Movers at short notice and they were able to accommodate me. I was very happy about that. They provided me with a time window of between 10am and 2pm They were on the job shortly after 10am which impressed me. I was also satisfied with the price,having made some enquiries. Their communication is also worthy of mention. All aspects considered, I'd be happy to use them again as my experience with them was a good one.

Hours late, 5.5tonne truck not 8 which was ordered, lack of protection blankets, trolly was broken, the list goes on and on. If you want to book a professional company, don't go with these clowns. Wish I could give them 0 stars as they don't deserve 1.

The worst. Do yourselves a favour and stay away from this company. They are dishonest, will blame you, the customer, when things go wrong, and have very poor comprehension and communication skills. They damaged quite a few items. They were also 2hrs later than they said with no explanation and slow as all hell! Please go somewhere else. I would hate for you to go through what I did. Also their complaints process is a joke.

Excellent service. Both of the removalists were quick, efficient and careful, making sure to even dust some of our items going into the truck! They were friendly and accommodated for extra items that needed to be moved. Fantastic and would definitely recommend again! Also decently priced- just over $700 for two people and a 4.5 tonne truck for around 5 hours of hard hard work and heavy items!

Had poor service delivery by the guy who came on behalf to move items. Just 10 mins in the final 30 mins of delivery and due to poor communication from their end we were made to pay full 30 mins fees. Just because they charge for every minute of conversation that they have with you. Items were left in the garage might as well have moved item's rather then take money for work not done.

Removalists caused damage to my brand new apartment wall. On contacting the team, there has been no resolution. I have been told they took extra care on the day and not at fault. The only thing they took extra of is time - what should have been a 1 hour job (moving a small amount of items 100m up the road) took 3 hours. Of course it did - as I was paying hourly. Beware beware beware! Try to steer away from these movers. They moved the furniture carelessly and scratched my floors and door. And when I lodged a complaint, the movers denied and said the damages were pre-existing. How absurd. The company handling of the case was poor too. I suggest people take photos of their floor and doors if they want to go with CBD movers. Risky move!

Terrible company! Used twice, and both times they didn't do the job. I should've learned the first time, but definitely won't use again. They didn't want to lift a table because it was "too heavy" so they refused to do the whole job. I had 2 people ready to help as well. I ended up moving the table with one other guy, so they were obviously just lazy. Would not recommend.
