Worst experience ever! Back in 2020 I had to leave Melbourne unexpectedly and fly back to Europe as my mother suddenly passed away. Due to the lockdown I wasn’t able to return to Melbourne. I decided to stay with my family and hired Kent Removals to pack up all my belongings and ship them to Europe. I organized the whole thing remotely and thought it’ll all be just fine as they were quiet a bit more expensive than other companies. So I trusted them to take care of everything professionally. I had everything shipped to a storage unit as I wasn’t staying at my own place at the time. When my belongings arrived, I was in pure shock. The furniture pieces were wrapped in a single layer of plastic only. The top of the dining table was broken. The buffet completely scratched and legs broken. The legs could’ve been removed easily. But they arrived attached and completely exposed. My bicycle was a collector’s item, which I barely rode, arrived scratched everywhere. My LED TV arrived shattered. It was just put in a box with zero cushioning and support. Instead filled with used plastic bottles and used tape rolls. And if that is not enough, my MacBook Pro, a NorthFace Duffelbag, my Dads old tools and many more items went missing. Even my expired Passports are gone. It’s like all the valuable things were specifically and deliberately picked out. I filed an insurance claim for the furniture, the bike and the Macbook because those were the things I noticed when my belongings were delivered to the storage unit. Eventhough I paid insurance for a much higher repurchasing value for some of those items, they were not willing to pay that in full. I had to spend alot more to get the furniture repaired. They only paid a little for the bike because they said it is still rideable. But they didn't get the point that it is a collectors bike eventhough I told them. For the Macbook they didn't even consider all the intellectual property that was on it and only paid me a small amount for the estimated value of the laptop at the time. As I noticed that the TV was broken later on when I moved into my own apartment and unpacked everything, they were not willing to compensate for that at all. The more I unpacked, the more I noticed that things were missing and everytime I opened another box I saw things just thrown in with no proper protection and wrapping. Books bended and kitchenware broken. You could literally see that they don’t care about your belongings and the safety of them. It is very obvious to me that these people don’t pride themselves in doing their job properly in an honorable way. Besides that, they fill up boxes just a little and stuff them up with endless amounts of paper so they can keep the box count high and charge you for that. Bottom line: If you really care about your belongings, don’t hire Kent Removals Melbourne. Alot of my belongings were of sentimental value to me, especially after losing both my parents. I spent alot of money for the move and alot more to repair and repurchase things. Absolut nightmare. Update: So far no attempts were made by Kent Removals to resolve this matter.

I am compelled to leave this review to express my profound disappointment and frustration with the services provided by Kent Removals. My recent relocation from Janie St Aspley, Queensland 4034 to Charlotte Avenue, Newcomb, Victoria, 3219 Geelong has turned into a nightmare due to their gross negligence and incompetence. During the move, three of my most vital items, including a red bag and two large boxes, mysteriously went missing. To make matters worse, these belongings contained a collection of irreplaceable original documents that hold immense personal and professional value to me. I lost my birth certificate, bachelor's and master's degrees, crucial academic records, over 40 Badminton state, national, and international certificates spanning 12 years, permanent residency documents, master's books, and cherished family photo frames. The gravity of this loss cannot be overstated. These documents represent years of hard work, achievements, and cherished memories that are now irretrievable. It is inconceivable that a professional relocation service could demonstrate such blatant disregard for the security and safety of its customers' belongings. Their negligence has put my legal status, personal well-being, and future in jeopardy. Despite multiple attempts to address this matter with Kent Removals, their response has been unsatisfactory and lacking urgency. Their failure to take immediate and comprehensive action to locate and return my missing items is appalling. The lack of accountability and transparency further exacerbates the distress caused by this situation. I urge anyone considering using Kent Removals for their relocation needs to think twice. Their careless handling of belongings and disregard for customer satisfaction is deeply concerning. Trusting them with your possessions is an unnecessary risk that could result in irreparable loss and hardship. In light of their incompetence and the significant consequences I now face, I implore Kent Removals to rectify this situation promptly. I expect a thorough investigation to locate and return my missing belongings, as well as appropriate compensation for the immense inconvenience, distress, and potential harm caused by their actions. Until a satisfactory resolution is reached, I cannot in good conscience recommend Kent Removals to anyone. Their lack of professionalism and integrity has marred what should have been a straightforward and stress-free relocation experience.

AVOID - Do not use!!! I never thought I would be writing a bad review for a company, but I don’t want this to happen to others. My move from Victoria to the Gold Coast was quoted by a rep who attended my property and went through every room in the house. We allowed extra boxes in most rooms and included an entire lounge suite that was sold prior to the move. On the day of uplift the team weren’t able to fit everything in the truck. They took things they were asked not to take and even put a pile of personal clothes and medication into a loving blanket and took it when it was aside for our trip to QLD. After the team left I contacted my move consultant and conveniently his phone didn’t work so I had to email. I advised there was still a lot left at the property and was told a truck would be back that afternoon or the next day to pick up. After no eta I contacted the next day to find out the consultant was now away and was put through to one of the worst customer service managers I have ever spoken to. It took me hours to get hold of her and then was treated like this was my problem and fault. I was told I had to pay more again for the pick up and when I said no they told me they would go back to management and discuss the issue. I wasn’t called back again for another 3 days when I was contacted and told that a truck was on the way. I foolishly thought this meant they had sorted it out and I didn’t have to pay so I arranged for someone to be onsite to meet the movers (as I had left for QLD). I received a call in the afternoon while driving from the sales rep telling me now I had to pay even more than the previous person has advised as there was more left than they thought. Again I said no and told him for a 13 cubic metre difference this was under quoted and the previous manager had agreed, but the rep advised “well you didn’t throw enough out!” Now Kent won’t reply to my email or deliver my property and are holding it as I won’t pay. In this truck is my son and my clothes, his toys, my entire office and lots of other things used by us everyday. DO NOT USE THEM!!! They won’t call or email you when something is wrong, they want you to pay and they will pick up goods and not deliver!! In addition, the first container that was paid for has been delivered with crushed boxes and none is the beds put back together as per the quote.

The rating system only allows for a single value, which is a bit tricky when things get complicated. On the actual moving out, the movers arrived on schedule and cleared the house as agreed. They were tidy, polite and left the house clean. On moving in the movers arrived on schedule and moved everything in as agreed - and even reassembled the bed that had been dismantled for packing. Again they were tidy, polite and left the house almost as clean (it had been raining). If that were all it would be 5 stars from me. The problems all come from Kent's usage of shipping containers to both move and store goods. The Kent employee who went through the house to size the move underestimated, so when the container was full there was still furniture that wouldn't fit and which I then had to deal with. The major problem was that (thanks to Covid), what was supposed to be a relatively short storage period ended up being multiple years. It may have changed since, but when I tried to find insurance the only one that I could find was through Kent itself. It was expensive but I thought short term. The insurance was a flat amount per week regardless of whether the goods were in transit (high risk, short period) or sitting in a steel container in a (presumably) safe warehouse (extremely low risk, extended period). Hence over the years I ended up paying thousands of dollars for insurance for which there was basically no risk being carried. My understanding (and I could be wrong) is that Kent have a single blanket policy, so they were effectively paying for insurance on a low risk environment (a warehouse full of steel containers, presumably with sprinklers etc) but collecting individual premiums as if for a high risk. A last irritant is that Kent, like a number of other companies, tried to have me pay for their business costs. They suddenly added a surcharge supposedly to fumigate the warehouse when I was already paying them to provide a safe (ie de-fumigated) store.

Dear Kent Removals Team, I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the services provided by your company during my Mums recent move from Sydney to Melbourne. The entire experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to bring these issues to your attention. The problems began on Thursday, 21st September, when the movers were scheduled to arrive at 9 am. However, we received a call at 10 am informing us of an unforeseen delay. While we understood that unforeseen circumstances can arise, the situation deteriorated further when the team did not arrive until 5 pm. The removalists disclosed that Leigh, the person organizing the move, had not been honest about the reasons for the delay. It was revealed that they were directed to an easier job in the city, leaving my mother's move until last. Consequently, they were still moving boxes at 10 pm, resulting in a total waste of our entire day. To make matters worse, eight weeks after the move, my mother received a call from Leigh claiming they had found a box belonging to her. However, after numerous frustrating conversations with various individuals at Kent, it was determined that either the box had not been found, or the company was unable to deliver it. This lack of clarity and the mishandling of the situation is unacceptable and has caused considerable distress. The entire experience with Kent Removals has been marked by incompetence, dishonesty, and a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. I would strongly advise anyone considering your services to think twice and explore alternative options. The level of service we received falls far below acceptable standards, and I am left deeply disappointed with the entire process. I hope that this feedback prompts a thorough investigation into the issues highlighted and that corrective actions are taken to prevent other customers from experiencing the same ordeal. Sincerely, Vanessa

Unfortunately my experience with Kent was very disappointing and exceptionally frustrating. Very sloppy service, communication and customer service. Everything seemed to be a huge effort. We arranged to have our belongings packed and stored for 2 weeks before moving into new our new premises. The one staff member who packed our belonging was at least 4 hour late as the manager had forgotten to allocate the job. The collection team were also late to collect the following day. The 'Client Coordination Consultant' failed to book in the delivery of our belongings even though I sent an email seeking confirmation of allocated delivery day. She offered me another delivery day 4 days after my long ago requested date. She managed to sort this out after I voiced my concerns but only after we had to endure 3 days of stress not knowing if we would be sitting on the floor in our new, empty house for 4 days. To top it off, we arranged to have all our used boxes removed through Kent. After receiving a confirmation text a couple of days prior to the booked pick up, they failed to show and failed to alert me that they weren't in fact going to show after I had arranged my day around their 3 hour window. I contacted my allocated ' Client Coordination Consultant' to reschedule collection. To date, I still haven't received another proposed collection date or any further contact from her. On a brighter note, there was very limited damage to our belongings and I was happy with the handling of our furniture etc whilst moving it in and out. Unfortunately the significant shortfall and subsequent frustration and stress of dealing with this company far outweighs this positive. Wouldn't recommend and won't use again.

I've been a loyal client of Kent for many years, undergoing numerous moves, and always opting for insurance as suggested by their salespeople. It seemed like a routine part of the selling process. Despite never needing to make a claim until my recent move from Victoria to Queensland, I felt confident that the insurance policy I had diligently put in place would adequately compensate me for any accidental damages. Unfortunately, my confidence was shattered. I recently had to make a claim for two broken items, with a combined value of approximately $3,000.00. To my dismay, Kent assessed the items at less than 50% of their actual value. Instead of considering the true value, Kent seems to rely on the cheapest options found on random websites as their "market value guide" for replacement value. Despite my efforts to communicate the actual value of the items, I was met with a disappointing outcome. My frustration extends beyond the claim denial. It's also about the lack of care demonstrated during the packing process. The dresser, worth a substantial amount, was carelessly shoved into the container with no consideration. Despite the possibility of removing the legs for safer transport, the team neglected this basic precaution, resulting in avoidable damage. While accidental damage would have been irritating yet understandable, the negligence displayed by the Kent team is unacceptable. Now, I find myself out a significant amount of money due to what I can only describe as a lack of professionalism and care in handling my belongings. Overall, my recent experience with Kent's insurance claim process has been deeply disappointing, and I am left questioning the integrity of their service.

The good: The upfront booking service was very straightforward and easy. On the day the removalists were fast and professional. Nothing was damaged and they took care with the items I pointed out as being fragile and insured. The bad: Should anything go wrong, don't expect any sort of empathy or customer service from their team. I had a small box of fragile items of great sentimental value to me. Some of these items are irreplaceable and a result of many years of collecting. In hindsight, I should have taken this myself however, for a move that cost nearly $2,000 I expected to be able to trust the Kent team. Of course, the box went missing. As soon as I realised it was gone, I reached out to Kent and was completely stonewalled by their team. I was advised the truck had been checked twice and nothing else could be done - in their words, the team didn't even remember the box. There was no empathy or desire to find a resolution that could compensate for the loss of the item. Boxes don't just go missing. It has to be somewhere unless it was left on the street or damaged in transit. If the team were being 100% honest, then it just vanished into thin air, never to be seen again. This is pretty hard to believe. Two weeks later, I have fully unpacked and it is not here but the boxes it was with did arrive. Would I use Kent again? Probably not. All up, this move cost me close to $2,000, including insurance BUT I only moved 4-5 mins up the road (2.5 hrs total, 900m). It also cost me some of my most valued items. EDIT: As you can see, Kent have replied. I am posting this update to reiterate no further action has been taken on their end to resolve this issue.

We moved from Auckland to Melbourne and contracted The Moving Company, Auckland for our international relocation. Their partner Kent Removal in Melbourne handled our shipment here in Melbourne. The experience in dealing with both of these companies has been very traumatic. If I could give a zero or minus star, I would have given that. We clearly advised The Moving Company, Auckland not to send our shipment through Kent Removal as their reviews were so bad. In spite of their written confirmation, they sent the shipment through Kent Removal, and it was another battle with Kent. The crew in Kent were equally terrible to deal with. A couple of our boxes went missing, and they still could not locate those boxes. The Kent crew who came to unload the container were not professionally trained. In this group, a teenager was helping to unpack the items. We requested the crew to be gentle with unpacking the wooden furniture as it was all expensive furniture. Did they listen to the request??? No, and they had a go at the items. Each wooden item was scratched with the blade they used to unpack the items. Scratched the staircase, broke the chandelier while carrying the furniture upstairs, damaged the walls etc. It took them a few months to sort things out. Every time the Project Manager will call and discuss things and then disappear for another 3-4 weeks. Very unprofessional and unorganized team at Kent. PLEASE NEVER USE KENT FOR YOUR INTERNATIONAL RELOCATION.

UPDATE: We reached an agreement with Kent and were paid an amount for both damaged items. Once we did finally get their attention, the state manager did promise funds and fulfilled that promise. The communication prior to this was dreadful, but our persistence was worthwhile to ensure the assurances were met. ORIGINAL: Worst removal company we have ever used, and we've moved more than a dozen times intrastate and interstate. After damaging two major items (one fully insured) they refused to fix them, despite repeated assurances otherwise by telephone. We had a disastrous move -- they demanded access from 7am (despite us being 2 hours from their depot) and didn't even show up or call us on the move-in date -- until we chased them up to find they didn't even have our container in the state! Yet they had only called the afternoon prior to confirm. Four people promised the operations manager would call us -- never happened within the promised time frame and only eventually happened after our continual follow-up. Items that were assembled when packed up were refused to be reassembled and damaged in transit. NO CARE WHATSOEVER. Will never use them again. All promises and not truthful in their communication. Horrible service; I would leave ZERO stars if that was possible.

TOTAL FAILURE on the part of Kent to pack and move the china cabinet I inherited from my mother to me in the USA from Melbourne, Victoria last year carefully and professionally. Not only did they not pack the china cabinet in the wooden crate I ordered and they charged me for, they placed the glass shelves in the bottom of the cabinet with no packing whatsoever (should have removed the shelves and packed them separately I have been told by several moving specialists). I received the cabinet upside down in just bubble wrap with the feet of the cabinet exposed and damaged and the glass side broken out by the shelves. I cried. Although Kent did eventually refund me the money they charged me for the crate that they never used, not only did they refuse to acknowledge their gross negligence and unprofessional packing that resulted in me receiving my precious inherited china cabinet broken, they also refused to compensate me in any way for their negligence. UPDATE: After the posting of this review Kent contacted me and made a good faith offer for restitution which I received today.

Unfortunately, our experience with Kent is similar of many companies. It's great until something goes wrong. We figured we would pay a premium and get a premium service and for the most part this has been true. We used Kent to pack our house after sale, store our belongings for 12 months and then move into our newly built house. In moving into our newly built house, the removalists (who were lovely guys) damaged our staircase railing caring the couch upstairs. There was also damage to the couch in the process. These things can happen but and we expected to work through this issue with the Kent team. Further the team of two then couldn't carry a check of draws upstairs. The damage was noted on the paperwork, and after a number of phone calls and emails we have no resolution after 1 month and the chest of draws is still downstairs despite Kent assuring me they would send a team out to help get the item upstairs. There seems to be a lack of accountability when things do go to plan which is disappointing and has not met our expectations.

DO NOT USE! I really regret using Kent for an interstate move from Melb to Syd. When my furniture and boxes arrived, almost every piece of furniture was DAMAGED - I’ll let the PHOTOS speak for themselves. Both couches had the legs broken off, the leather was scratched and had mysterious white marks all over, all 4 bookshelves were smashed up, my lamp was completely broken into multiple pieces, and my lovely coffee table was scratched & dented everywhere. To makes things worse, Kent’s INSURANCE is a SCAM. The insurance coordinator (Louise) is a real NASTY bit of work - they make it so difficult to get compensated for the damage and pull all sorts of dodgey tricks to avoid paying out your claim. The process dragged on for months. Moving alone to a new city is stressful enough. I’ve moved many times around the world with other very professional & reliable companies. Unfortunately, the experience with Kent was by far the worst, particularly with their insurance, which left me in tears numerous times. Never again.

We have used Kent removals on numerous occasions for both home and business moves and they have always provided a high level of service. Unfortunately, this appears to have deteriorated rapidly since last time we used them. Communication has been very poor. We were told they were arriving at 7am and no show for 2hrs with no call or anything. They turned up the first day with one person, who had to pack the entire house himself, which took all day and then had to leave it in the house as couldn’t load by himself. They were supposed to collect at 7am the following morning to load, no show until 2 hrs later and again, no call or anything. Moving overseas as we were doing is stressful enough, so this added a whole other level of stress and anxiety!!! We chose to pay more for the level of service. More fool us. I would not recommend using these for your removal as unfortunately, they don’t manage to communicate, never mind turn up when they’re supposed. Shame as they used to be good.

We had a house full of items stored by Kent Removals & Storage for 6 years whilst we travelled around Australia in our caravan. They collected it from our home in South Perth in July 2017 and loaded it straight into a 20 foot sea container that was on the back of their truck. They took time to pack everything professionally. After completion of our travels, we purchased a new home in Lakelands and Kent delivered the container to us this week (September 2023). The three guys in the truck were amazing. Very professional and placed all the furniture in our home where we asked them to put it. Now a week later, we’ve finally unpacked all the boxes and can say that there is not one single thing broken or out of place. The two fridges, TV’s, washing machine, microwave, everything work properly. There’s no moths or any other pest infection. We are very satisfied that our goods were taken care of in a safe environment. I will add that they were very expensive but we got what we paid for.

  • Mitul Kumbhani

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Kent Removals. Despite having a confirmed delivery date of 22/11/2023, I was informed at the last minute that they would not be able to deliver on the agreed date. This last-minute change caused significant inconvenience and additional financial costs, as I had to arrange temporary accommodation due to not being able to live in an empty house. Despite continuous communication with their representative, I received no satisfactory response or explanation for the delay. The lack of clear communication and the failure to adhere to the agreed terms have been both stressful and frustrating. I expected a professional and reliable service, but my experience has been far from it. I am now left dealing with the additional costs and the stress of an uncertain delivery schedule. I would not recommend Kent Removals due to their unreliability and poor customer service.

  • Bill Laird

They move us up from Sydney to Gold Coast and we placed our removals in their storage facility for over a year, (it was insured for all the removals and storage) when it was delivered there was damage to 3 items, which they have declined to pay as it was not listed on their inventory, they are the one that do that when they pick up your belongings, boxes are tagged as are loose items that are not in boxes, we paid insurance for the removals and storage and they have come back with because it was not itemised they refuse to pay for the damages, so does that mean all items in each box has to be itemised (REALLY!!!) for them to pay for damages, so they are just usual insurance money grubbers and will NEVER recommend them or USE them EVER again and I suggest you look elsewhere for someone who values their customers and is HONEST.

  • Anthony Haddad

I don’t write negative reviews. We’re easy to deal with and very willing to resolve issues in a cooperative manner. Sadly, the guys at Kent ignored us. We never reached anyone about our issue which was blatant theft and some broken items during the move. The main issue is blatant theft of items from sealed boxes which were clearly taken during packing. That is a serious breach of trust as the items taken were precious pens belonging to my late father. We can never get them back. Our account Manager Hannah Clegg ignored every call, message and email with staggering indifference. Stay close to their movers if you use them and don’t expect any post service care, attention or interest. Consider another mover altogether if you are moving items of high sentimental or emotional value. Very bad form.

I've used Kent Removals twice now. Both time, fantastic service. First time was moving from Melbourne to Brisbane. Pretty stressful moving interstate as I've never done it before. Kent staff came to my house inventoried everything and gave fixed price. My goods were packed up with care and moved up to Brisbane to be stored with Kent for 3 months until I needed it. Redelivery process was even easier, arranged a day for delivery and they unpacked everything exactly where I wanted it. The second time I used Kent was moving houses in Brisbane. This time I used their hourly rate. Craig and Yasi should be commended as it was a very hot day. Glad I wasn't moving my stuff. Even on the hourly rate they didn't waste time. Again this move was stress free. Thanks Kent!

  • Elina Ryback

Ruined my couch and several other items. No respect or care in packing. Absolutely terrified by the poor quality and unprofessionalism from this company. Packaged a container in Melbourne and when opened it up in South Australia my couch was completely ruined with black stains from NOT being wrapped and packed next to garage items! Who does this? Several items has been completely destroyed, hundreds of dollars spent on heaters and several expensive & large pots straight in the bin. TV's stored and transported sideways! TV boxes squashed by heavy outdoor furniture. KENT has no interest in compensation because we didn't take out insurance. KENT was by far the most expensive company and we unfortunately put our trust in them, wish I never did!

  • Liam Thomas

I have used Kent removals twice now and I’ll tell you, both time I have been extremely disappointed. First time round it took 4 months to complete a 12 day delivery. And second time around completely smashed an entire cabinet of mine and even though I have insurance they won’t replace it. All my furniture is marked and chipped due to misplacement and 0 care. The boxes were squashed and thrown together with no care. All my pot plants were cut down to the stems and not given a chance to live. I do not recommend Kent in the slightest. Using them twice has reinforced my opinion that they are a lazy and unprofessional company that doesn’t actually take their clients belongings into consideration.

  • Laura Pierre

Very poor experience with the storage team. I was not advised of the handling fee charge of $180 plus I have to use the Kent stuff to retrieve my items from storage and not my own removalist. I advised one month in advance to retrieve my items and they still cannot confirm if the date is possible. I was advised that I only needed to give 48 hours notice but this is not the case. Beware, organise your own storage, alot of hiddent cost and red tape to deal with. Will definitely not recommend them. There so many better storage facilities that you have better access and control. Beware of the misrepresentation.

  • Lorraine Hingert

Charmaine and Mariana at Kent Removalists were a pleasure to work with from the first quote to the removal day. Mariana came out to the house to quote so she could see exactly what items were being moved. They responded quickly and efficiently throughout the whole process. They were very helpful and friendly. The removalists on the day were also extremely hardworking, friendly and helpful. They took care to cover and protect items. Everything went very smoothly on the day and the costs were exactly as quoted and expected. Highly recommend Kent Removalists.

  • Courtney Miller

Negatives: Two day late delivery with no message left, we were waiting at the house with no idea we were going to have to book more accomodation in the new city, crushed boxes, twisted bikes, smashed hat rack, ruined and stained bed, shall I continue? Positives: $200 ex gratia for the late delivery, a phone call one month later advising us we could access insurance if needed for the smashed and ruined items. Some of the removalists were decent - seems more an admin/company issue not a worker issue. Overall, would advise against the company.

  • Kate Perera

What they said with the original man who came was what made me go with them. But I was then passed onto a person in another state who was not experienced in customer service at all and kept changing the original quote. And on BBC arrival I had damaged goods and I had to go out of my way to find quotes to fix it. Moving interstate was so difficult and time consuming, that I had no extra time to do it within the two weeks… Very disappointing and I won’t recommend interstate removal with them for the price they cost…

  • Alex Dobson

I engaged Kent for an interstate removal to Victoria. Reading some of the negative reviews had me worried, but honestly, they did a great job. They worked around the time window given by my strata and arrived when they said they would. The team onsite was friendly and efficient. Keep in mind, however, that they work at pace, which keeps costs down, but they tend to be a tad rough with boxes. It's worth making sure everything is packaged properly, but again, there were no major issues once I unpacked everything.

  • Katie Evstifeev

Can’t thank Jason and the team at Kent’s enough for our recent move interstate! Everything went like clockwork and is clearly a well oiled machine! We couldn’t be happier and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Everything arrived in pristine condition and the team at both ends were careful of the floors and existing walls etc bringing out/ in new furniture. Was a breeze from beginning to end and we were always kept updated! Thank you Kent! Would definitely recommend to others!

  • Terry Havetta

I had 2 young men Xavier and Andrew come this morning to do my move in to storage. They were so polite and well mannered and so quick at what they had to do. They had my beds dismantled in no time. And took care to take my tvs off the walk and pack. As well as everything else thy had to do. I am very happy with the service and am going to call Kent to see if these 2 young men can move me in to my new home next week. Well done.

  • Shane Ruthven

I have used Kent Removals 8 times over last 10 years. Our latest local Douth Eastern suburbs Victorian move has been costly, as other reviews have found. I find this an anomaly with their economy of scale model. I have had items lost and not recovered. I have left messages and emails that remain in answered. The “care factor” as I stated on my second email still remains an open case. I will not be using them ever again.

  • DStan

I would like to express our sincere thank you to the awesome men who moved our furniture in Craigieburn Melbourne today (21st October). Fernando and his team were nothing short of professional, courteous and friendly. The service that they provided was taken with utmost care for our furniture and belongings and definitely took the stress of relocating away. Would highly recommend Fernando & his team. Thanks again!

  • Gary Lewis

Stay away from these people. Both myself and my elderly parents used them recently for transport and storage and we both experienced missing items that they refused to take ownership of, and, in my parents case, lots of breakages. The cost is excessive, and the insurance coverage they offer a complete waste of money. There are plenty of reliable, trustworthy local firms out there, so stay away from this mob!

Run away, I'm so sorry that I used Kents, appalling company to deal with, they've lost a double bed and base, I saw it wrapped and with my name on it go into the container, and its lost. huh? I've filled out the paper work and all I get is crickets.... So not only have I lost a bed but I will have to go buy myself another one. Run away! Watch for the auto generated response telling me that they really care.

I would not recommend this service. Some furniture arrived damaged and when informed it took them over a month to reply. I was treated like a criminal even though I supplied photos of the damage. I was coerced into paying for extra insurance to cover such damages, but it seems that was a waste of money. My overall experience has been more stressful than it need be. Find another company.

Since my review of our recent review with Kent Removals, they did acknowledge our experience and contacted us about it. We appreciated their concern and their willingness to investigate the situation and make changes for the future They also offered compensation for our experience and we thank them for it.. This is more like the experience we had with them previously

Did an inter state move. Broken items, missing screws, and finally a horrible claims process where you can't get anything from insurance though you paid for it. Not to mention the Kent stickers on all your furniture that can't be removed even after months or leave a stain behind. Only thing I liked was the efficiency of the guy who came to pack.

We used Kent to move our things from Melbourne to Perth. They were really good. The customer service team were very friendly and helpful. The people packing up and dropping off were lovely. The price was reasonable. I can see there are negative reviews but personally we didn't have any issues and found the whole process to be pretty seamless.

If you get consigned CHRISSY KALAITZIS go somewhere else. 8 attempts to reach her via phone call with no answer and no call back. This is a problem when the date for my car to be transported is wrong and it's 4 days from being picked up. I'm not even sure she's a real person at this stage I'd advise anyone to go elsewhere

I moved today and I can't speak highly enough of the service I received from the entire team of guys I had doing my move. They all worked fast and careful, they treated my furniture like it was their own and they were so friendly, I most definitely will be returning if I ever have the need. Thanks guys, you were awesome.

As a customer of kent’s storage and removals, I am utterly disappointed and frustrated with the abysmal level of service they provide when it comes to managing their accounts. My experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I strongly advise others to steer clear of their services.

Very responsible moving services, we move from Melbourne to Brisbane, nothing missing. The movers were very friendly and helpful. Melbourne back office staff is much nicer than Brisbane. Also we shop around a lots and it is the cheapest, $1600 for 27 boxes, Fridge, beds ... Thank you so much! Kent

Kent picked up household first week of June, for an overseas removal . Since it was a shared groupage they said 8-14 weeks to depart. Since then i received numerous e-mails changing the departure day. Last one is for the 3rd of October. Four months and my things are still in Australia. AVOID

Great experience with Kent Removals, from enquiry handling, quoting, booking & the actual move, everything was done effectively & efficiently. A special thank you goes to Fernando & the boys who attended the job, they are such a good team, super professional & helpful. Highly recommended.

  • Zachary Loh

Damaged my house and refuses to repair it. The movers were not careful and were more interested in moving fast rather than taking care of our stuff. We had a broken lamp which was reimbursed but it has been a year and they have just decided to stop responding to emails about fixing it.

Absolutely disgusting service DO NOT USE! They say they come out and do a quote But then charge you extra on the day! $5,000 later and wanted to charge me another $1200 or they would turn the truck around Terrible service DO NOT USE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ROBBED

  • Mazharul Islam

The worst service experience I have ever had. I just felt that I have paid heaps of money for the delivery people to serve me (customer) with utter intimidation and disrespect. Very disgraceful. Don't want to waste time writing whole story!

  • Linda Aposto

Exceptional work ethic from all the men, thank you so much for providing us ease. Greg is the best Team Leader, he displayed absolute professionalism and respect to each and every item. Highly recommend this organisation if you are moving.

  • Tracey Aylen

Our 3rd move with Kent, and now the only removalists we would use or recommend. Every part of the process was seamless and professional, and the actual moving guys have exceeded our expectations every time. Nothing is too much trouble and

We’re very happy with our interstates move experience from Melbourne to Brisbane by using Kent. The whole team is very professional. We enquired the quote on early Jan, and our service was booked successfully within 2 weeks. Kent’s price

  • Georgia Ellis

Oh how I wish I could provide 5 stars, but sadly Kent's after sales service is extremely lacking. Once we paid our bill, the customer service quickly went down hill. The pick up and drip off teams were friendly and efficient with some

  • Chris Clancy

What a disgrace, there over sized truck (freight container) partially ripped our NBN cable from our residence whilst it was going to a house further down our street. More than 2 weeks now since I logged the complaint. What a disgrace

  • Domenico Tellatin

We recently used Kent removals for both collection, storage and delivery. The removalists in both pick up and drop off were all excellent, hard working and friendly. I would be happy to use them again as they were value for money.

  • Grace Hamilton (Sarace)

Seamless booking to unpacking and arranging ! Thorough and thoroughly complete... from initial call to waving good bye ! what a friendly, professional, fast, reliable experience ! Thanks to the entire team.

  • Kobie Metherell

Besides the liaison officer mucking up our delivery date, the boys who packed and unpacked were absolutely 150% amazing. Very polite, professional, kind and friendly(Ford,Xavier, Connor and Jeremy)

  • Meriaki T

Kent has been really responsive with their communication and extremely efficient at moving, so floored by how quickly they got the job done. Movers were also very friendly and professional!

  • Matthew Elliott

  • Therese Ryan

Graham, Shane and Dan went over and above for us today in what could have been a very difficult move. We are very grateful for their determination, positive attitude and care. Thank you.

  • Vincent Misale

Thank you so much for making our move so smooth and efficient. They were professional, courteous and very hard working. We highly recommend Daniel and Felipe for your next move.

  • Andrew Youakim

Did a days work with J as a jockey and he stiffed me $130 dollars. Highly discourage giving business like this any time of day it’s a disgrace to be ripping off casuals $200

  • Carl Bursee

Hello, If you consider hiring Kent in Melbourne area especially Dandenong please reconsider your choice because the owner of the branch, William Morell, has repeatedly

  • Joshua Wong

We used Crown to move from New Zealand to Melbourne, on Melbourne side it was Kent Removals doing the delivery and unpacking.
