Took forever to get book...But, eventually got it...But, some of the staff need customer service training they rude not customer friendly and really Not handicap or disabled friendly by far---rude and uncaring in the store...Hit me up if want to know what happened to me. .But, gave two stars because the staff that takes the incoming calls is great but they have miscommunication issues with the store staff...The rudeness that the store manager or supervisor displayed over the phone was cringy like she didn't care what was going on...Like either send your money here or not...Wouldn't even let me explain anything to her.. And was rude as hell to my son.. See that you pre assumed and pre judged my child going to comeback on you...You think my son was some Thug because he has long dreads and you assumed he was black---GAVE VERY RACIST VIBES...How can You be RACIST in a school environment...Besides my Son is Not Black we are Multi raced CREOLE to be exact...And he is also a MANAGER in One of the Top Retailers in the area...It's Not fair that my son had to be STEREOTYPED just for doing a favor for me...I will Not ever have him go in that bookstore again or myself...This happened at the bookstore on CSN Charleston...Either I will go to another campus bookstore or I will do everything online... See when You work with the public it's takes a certain type of person Not just Anyone...Man I can go on and on... Do Not make anyone feel the way my son felt...And be more caring and understanding to the disabled or handicap your rudeness, attitude and demeanor was unwarranted...Like I said you or anyone can call me or contact me... I SAID WHAT I SAID AND YOU WILL NEVER HAVE ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO MISTREAT MY SON OR MYSELF... SEE YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT A PERSON IS GOING THROUGH BUT KINDNESS GOES ALONG WAY...DO YOU KNOW A SMILE OR KIND WORD CAN CHANGE A PERSON THAT MAYBE HAVING A BAD DAY...BE THAT PERSON THAT CHANGES A FROWN ON SOMEONE'S FACE TO A SMILE...GIVE THEM A GLIMMER OF HOPE, PEACE, LOVE AND POSITIVE VIBES... LOVE MAKES THIS WORLD GO ROUND...I IMPLORE YOU TO BE THAT CHANGE...

Overall renting was easy. However when returning the store manager Karin was undeniably the rudest employee I have ever come across. The spine was apparently broken but the whole book was worn out at the very beginning due to it being preowned. I had no recollection of me damaging the spine and was told an employee was “supposed” to be putting a note on it if it was. There was no clear clarification on anything and she even asked if the book was from the store in the first place? Was edging into just paying for the $70 even when both of us didn’t know exactly where the damage for the spine came from. Until these words came out of her mouth: “Well do you want ME to pay the $70?” I had it and was downright fuming at this point. I made it clear that there was probably just a misunderstanding and that I did not have $70 to give just because you “assume” I broke a preowned spine of a book. She ended up just adding a note and waiving the fee and I just let her know that associates needed to be more clear and concise with rental procedures before threatening me on undoing the waive because of my attitude. Moral of the story: take pics of your rental books upon buying, make sure associates write necessary notes and make sure to grab associate’s names upon renting.

The workers don't listen, and are very hard to understand because they are reading a script without taking any pauses after asking a question. I had to repeat my student number 4 times because they kept typing in my student number wrong. And he ignored me when i was telling him its incorrect. He said he was going to email the textbook link and he never did. The woman worker just kept apologizing saying she couldn't help me after I called again. How do you not have access to student information in your system. How can a textbook be unavailable in digital format. This store makes it difficult for students to obtain the material they need for classes. These students are going places.

The bookstore’s return policies are ridiculous. What kind of business refuses a refund when you have a proof of purchase and no longer need the item? I bought the e-book recommended from their online store and later found out that I need the full version of the book to do my homework assignments. I ended up paying full price for both books and the CSN Bookstore refused to give me a refund on the e-book because the deadline for refunds had passed. They also told me I could come in between 9 AM - 2 PM for an exchange, which is impossible for anyone working a full time job.

All students BEWARE when renting books from this bookstore. Customer service are very rude. When I tried to return my books the girl that was there was snobby and rude. When I tried to explain that i needed to turn them in so I don't get charged $215 she said "my computer is turned off and I am not going to clock in because that will put me into overtime, so I'm not doing that" she could have went about the situation a lot better. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Then they only want to buy the books back for a total of $70. I will never rent from here again.

Every time I went here in Fall 2019, they would greet other patrons, but never greeted me, not even once. The women they had as the cashiers made me feel unwelcome as a customer. They should be retrained to greet everyone, even black patrons, because I did notice. I would avoid this location. The CSN Bookstore in North Las Vegas, has kind and courteous employees. CSN Bookstore Charleston employees should leave their personal biases at home, I would never return.

The CSN bookstore at charleston campus was easy to find. If you are coming from henderson. (West on the 215) you would take jones to charleston and up to torrey pines. Entrance is on the side of torrey pines. You can also take rainbow to oakey ( take a right) then left on torrey pines. From vegas (east on 215) left on rainbow right on oakey left on torrey pines. Pretty easy to find. Google and csn seem to have the directions pretty accurate.

Whoever is in charge of policies and returns is not doing a great job, for CSN, they offer awful and expensive prices, yet not a great return policy. If you buy a graduation gown, you cannot return it even if they made a mistake on size or of its ripped while being shipped. For a college bookstore they literally do not care a bit for students and only care for money. Which is very sad and I personally will never shop from them.

This book store does not seem as organized as the one from the north las vegas campus. It may be hard to find help there if you are looking for a book. They offer refreshments for purchase along with other school supplies. Many of the costs are higher than competitors however many books are exclusive to the CSN stores so it would be hard to find them at other places. Return policy isn't the best for certain products.

I normally attend the Cheyenne campus, their bookstore is normally closed Saturday and Sunday. I checked online to see the times this campus as well as Henderson’s bookstore was open. I drove 45 minutes over here to find out that the bookstore was closed. I’m absolutely LIVID. The security guard told me last week was the last time they were going to be open on the weekends, so how about.. UPDATE THE TIMES.

  • Jasmyn Joie Jaspe Weidler

I was there a couple weeks ago to look for a book that wasn’t available as a paperback because they didn’t order it. I’m not going to drive back and forth trying to hunt down a book. Just called now and whoever answered was grumpy when I was asking information about a book. They said to check the website but it shows no image available. Good customer service and kindness isn’t hard

  • Juan Gracia

They will actively go out of their way to make finding and buying your text books as difficult as possible. I've been misdirected about the books needed twice in a row as they don't know whay they have, and will just point at what looks right. Beware their help and double check the book and class if you do accept their assistance.

  • Miguel Mercado

They need more atmosphere in this place. i want to feel like the sexy person that I am. I want feel educated. I want them to treat me like the king I am. Instead they treated me like a regular CSN student. Wow what kind of service is that. Asking me "How may I helpy you?". When they had to adress me as there king!!!

  • Joie G.

Never order Digital Books from them. The purpose of Digital book is to able to read right away after you paid for it but after I paid the book, the status says "processing" for 3 days then after 3 days they said it's not available anymore.! Then don't put it as an option when the student wants to buy the book!

  • Takashi Takahashi

My class is started but my textbook is still not coming yet. I contacted to Fedex and it's Now my text book is returning to shipper because of wrong address but they don’t wants to reship until they have to get back the package. Now I have to order again and wait for a textbook. I'm really upset about this.

  • esme lin

A girl that works here was super rude. I was asking her a simple question and she ignored me. She finally answered me and just pointed to a random place. She was no help. If the bookstore is going to hire people , hire people that are willing to help. Nobody is giving us these expensive books for free.

  • Miss Lillie

the employees are very helpful, I was approached & offered assistance- within seconds of entering the bookstore. It was a relief, they make it a simple experience, because the employees go over & beyond to take care of you. I appreciate them, starting a new semester can be stressful.

  • Ryan Burchett

They may been convenient and have the books you need but you're gonna pay for that convenience in time (super long lines for the first couple weeks) and money (10-15% more expen6than buying online. The last Used book I needed was more than Double at the bookstore compared to online

  • Whitney Sperry

Never has anything, too many times have I got the run-around. After calling and checking and saying that they have it, just to waste my time to drive over there to find out that they don't have what they said they have. The website NEVER is updated. I go to Rent-text and Amazon. :(

  • SOLO2LIVE

Walked in today in a hurry and was helped immediately by the “tall girl”. She was very nice and really helpful. She found all my items in a timely manner and also got a manager to refund me for an online purchase. Overall I had an great experience at this location.

  • Shay F

According to the website they had my information that I needed to study for at the location when I got to the school and did not have what I needed so I had to buy something else. So call before you go or order it online so you know you can get your materials

  • Pyper’s Bloom

Never crowded. I'm always in and out. Some books are pricey. They may take back some of the books at the end of semester, but depends on need. As long as you know the class and course number you should be able to walk in and get help finding the correct book.

  • saba bajwa

I love everything about csn and have no regrets joining this college these bookstores and flat out amazing service and probably the best in the world great thank u to all the kind people who work here I’ll miss u all when I transfer this is the best school :)

  • Praise My Way Through (T. I.)

As anyone who's ever been to ANY school campus, its PACKED! The lines were down the aisles, I just shook my head and got in line I NEEDED these books! I was in line a total of 15mins. Those workers have a system that's unbeatable. The DMV should take notes!

  • Jacob Donovan

The CSN book store was very easy to find and the people working here are very helpful with finding what types of books you need for your classes. But outside the bookstore its confusing because they have ashtray laying everywhere but no smoking signs.

  • Corey Sharpe

Never really had any issues with the bookstore. Everything has always been well stocked, at least when I'm in there. The staff that I've dealt with have all been friendly. I second those saying they need more registers opened though.

  • Ana Reyes

The girl at the counter was super helpful, and an expert on how staff vouchers are applied. It was a breeze and no need to wait for corrections or another staff member. It wad great...In and out! Great job!

  • Victoria P

Ordered 2 books brand new from this bookstore and when they finally came they might as well have been used because the employees packaged it so horribly that they were damaged. Thanks for wasting my money.

  • Tatsiana T

Horrible!!!! You never know at what time they are closing!! They have to correct this hours that they posted on google. Even if you come 10 min after they closed, they will not let you in, really

  • Isaiah

Well stocked, gets really busy around the beginning of the semester. Only wish they had more cashier's then. Aside from that good spot to grab supplies or a snack if you are short on time.

  • philip harvey

Not a fan of the uncompetetive prices. Try to save you money by not binding the book, but still overpriced imho. Still though, everything you need for class in one easy place.

  • John V

If you want to save money on books go here and buy there used books. The books are in good condition and not a single problem at all and you can sell your books here too.

  • Stef Angel

Renting a book is horrible here. Got a crappy book and they didn’t want to change and and when I returned it they charged me full price!!! Absolutely horrible service!!!!

  • Rkless_Jay IRL

This place has the books you need but some are over priced. I suggest you browse and compare these prices with chegg or other textbook services to get the best bargain.

  • Zion Cruz

Long long lines during busy time. Ridiculous prices...my teacher said it was much cheaper before.....it's just another way to steal students funds....hello America

  • Monique Johnson

Great service but should let students know that they need a acutal credit card for books if they want to rent a book bevause a prepaid bedt card is not allowed.

  • Jonathan Molina

The bookstore is very useful and has all the materials you need to succeed in class. The service is great and making online orders and pick up is very easy.

  • Genevieve Jasmine

Super expensive. But they sell variety of things like food, makeup, school/class supplies, Books (obviously).. Lots of options in one place cant complain.

  • Roy Emerson

The hours of operation are very limited (at times). They have been known to randomly change, so I'd highly suggest double checking before making the trip.

  • Danielle Jones

Disorganized ...they order books for classes by Author...not by subject and books are there but not yet on shelf's people can't stop by everyday to check

  • Christopher Andrade

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The store sells more than just books. They also sell CSN apparel, school supplies, and snacks to keep you going.

  • Daaavid Darley

A little pricey, but they have everything I need despite reduced operations. (It's summer time so not too many classes in session now.)

  • Jolene Stratton

I always find what I am looking for and sometimes a little something extra for fun. This time I bought a key lanyard that I had needed!

  • Lily BASA

A lot of new movies dvd to borrow for free for a week , than Redbox that you pay $1.75 a day a lot of saving just go to the library.

  • Lashonda Denise Howard

I'm here now coming here to take my placement test just finished with it did pretty good this is the college I'm going to

  • Brian Kondrad

Deff you can get cheaper online! The last time I came the line was quite long. I rather wait at home and order online.

  • Nicolai Jerbic

The place was pretty busy, but I was in and out in 20 minutes. They did a great job in helping me get the right book

  • Michelle G

When the registers are working and half the staff doesn't look miserable it's a good little store.

  • Idelfonso Hernandez

Great place to find books for school but it needs to be expanded. It's too small of a room area.

  • Nando Arroyo

Friendly and helpful staff. Well organized. Efficient book searching and purchasing processes.

  • Brent Stoll

They don't have their act together at all. This is the biggest pain in the butt for students

  • Tyshanay Myers

Make dollar general, target, or walmart your first choice before going here. Think smart.

  • Ashley Fullen

Usually busy during the beginning and end of the semester but everyone's super helpful.

  • Ashley J

It is a great college bookstore with all your studying needs and also some gift ideas.

  • Amber DiFalco

Everyone is always super helpful and very knowledgeable when it come to what you need!
